Hi all,I've noticed that the spaces disappear from the attachment name somewhere between adding a PDF to Airtable and the email draft that I'm creating by an automation through Zapier. When I add the attachment to Airtable it's called 1-15678fmsc loading docs.pdf but when it appears as the attachment in my Outlook draft it's called 1-15678fmscloadingdocs.pdf. Not a dealbreaker, but slightly annoying. Any ideas?Thanks,Kelsey

Hi all,I'm looking into the possibilities of making Airtable part of our project management set-up. At this moment, employees log their hours in Excel timesheets (on a daily basis, per month) and get copied over and over to make simulations or analysis of our ongoing projects. We have some major drawbacks in our way of working:- Information is not up-to-date, as timesheets are being processed once a month.- We need to copy the time data more than once, as we have no database set-up or whatsoever. Airtable could make it easier to centralize all timesheet data and link it back to other fixed data like project information, invoice structuring, people management... (no planning)I have a few questions about this:- What could be a good timesheet tool that works well together with Airtable? Hello, with Airtable’s announcements today, I’m wondering if it now might be possible to do a two-way sync with a WordPress table. As I understand it, it hasn’t been possible to update a record in a WordPress table when the record is updated in Airtable. I tested Zapier and was able to ADD a new record in Airtable when a record is added in WordPress. But, ideally what I need is a true two-way sync between the two programs. I’m building an alumni site in WordPress, and would like the following functionality: When a user is added in WordPress, the user is added in Airtable When a user is updated in either WordPress or Airtable, the two records are synced so the update will happen in both databases Happy to hire a community expert to work on this functionality, but do we know if this is now possible with Airtable’s new updates announced today? Any/all thoughts appreciated, thank you!

I’d like to use AirTable as a backend for Wordpress. Is there a wordpress plugin to so ? (I already know AirPress) How would you organize your Post in a AirTable ? and more precisely how would you handle Markdown from AirtTable rich fields and images ? I give a try to AirPress it’s great but it doesn’t go very far It do not handle Markdown fields It seems there is a “timeout” on AirTable Images ? So the URL is quickly forbidden I need to do custom trick in order to handle from markdown field May be I should you an other FrontEnd than Wordpress ? Hello,Few years ago I automate AitTable to Wordpress using a Node-RED as a middleware code. The usage seems to me so obvious and basic :IF I update a line in AirTable I trigger an Automation (REST Request)THEN Node-RED will create or update a Wordpress Post managing the attachmentToday I try to figure out how to make it without my code. AirTable put upfront Zapier, so I give it a try... What a hell of complicated  !!! Zapier is so dumbYou have to handle if it's an Update or a CreateYou have to handle the attachementMay by I missunderstand but it confirm to me that Zappier and other automation tools worth nothing if you have to create 3 or 4 zap for a so simple task. Codeing with an UI is not No-Code it's Pain-Code 🙂I'll try to move my code from Node-RED to AirTable function but not sure it works (because of caching, attachment, etc ...)

My wife and i and a small team are founding a new school for children in our community. We’ll start K–2 this fall and—should our prayers be answers—we’ll add a grade level each year all the way to grade 12. To date, we’ve been building out and refining all of our core systems, and now we’re researching a significant decision that virtually all schools face: choosing a SIS. Hi allBeen trying to pass a simple body through to one of my tables using Metatrader 5:{ "records": [ { "fields": { "Ticket": "abc", "Notes": "Notes here" } } ] }However, it fails with the error: {"error":{"type":"INVALID_REQUEST_BODY","message":"Could not parse request body"}} I've been using webhook.site to test sending from Metatrader, and passing it through here works fine. Body recieved ok when I just switch out the URLs.I've also tested with Postman and the raw body works fine sending the raw body through to both airtable and webhooks.siteSo I've kinda backwards and forwards tested both ways to airtable but can't figure out why sending it from Metatrader is not working when using it to send to webhooks works ok.Is there any way of bug tracing this a little more or getting more info from airtable?

Hi, I am trying to redesign an existing base for our team. In current base, we have a list of tasks for each teaching period, with instructions on how to do them (i.e., instruction is recorded in "long text" field; and some tasks also have an "attachment" field where applicable). Most of the tasks are recurring across all 4 teaching period - Sem 1, Int 1, Sem 2, Int 2. - these 4 have been set up as a "Single select" field. For recurring task, I just duplicated the records and change their teaching period in the "Single select" field.  For example: "Send mailmerge to students for application outcomes" is a task that we will do across all 4 teaching periods. Is there a way where I can set up this base and automate that if I updated instruction for the "Send mailmerge to students for application outcomes" of Sem 1, the other three "Send mailmerge to students for application outcomes" tasks of Int 1, Sem 2 and Int 2, will also be updated with the

Is there a way to make this interface less bulky? it's not very user friendly when looking at certain overviews to leave comments. Is it possible to make it look more like basecamp?

Hello all -I am trying to figure out if there is a way to "deep link" to a specific interface form. I have a list-type interface page that lists Notes. (https://airtable.com/appXXXXXX/pagYYYYYYYY) It has an action button "Add New Note." Clicking that pops up a modal New Note form, but the URL in the browser does not change. However if I click on a record, that record has a unique URL. (https://airtable.com/appXXXX?detail=YYYYYYYYYYY) The question: Is there a URL, or a way to construct one, that will give me the List page with the New Note overlay?

Hey folks -We've built a workflow using Airtable tables. We filled the tables with some test data to get us going, and then cleaned the table in preparation for using the workflow. However, since deleting the data, testing automation scripts seems to fail. It seems to be pulling a record ID that no longer exists. Is there a way to manually choose what record to test an automation against?

Hello,Let's say I have a table for employees and have an Interface Gallery.  In the Gallery I am showing a headshot, name and title.  When someone clicks on the card it open up a Sidesheet with hometown, state and work history.  When I am looking at the Gallery view with all the cards (ie no Sidesheet shown) and do a search, the results are only showing cards where the search term is visible on the card.  In other words, the search is not searching the entire record, only what is shown.So, if I was searching for any employee named "Bob" then it works returning all the employees with "bob" in there name.  But if I search for "Maine" to find out how many employees are from Maine, then it does not work. Additionally, is there a wildcard available in the search? If I type in "Ma" then I would want anyone with a state of Alabama, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ma

Hi, I have a base where each record in a table represents an exterior item. When the item changes in AirTable, I need that change to be pushed to the exterior database. I want to check the external file for each record every 30 minutes or so to see if the file has changed on the external system.The code that I have implemented to do this is getting bogged down. There seem to simply be a backlog of automations to run. Even though I have turned them off, they are still running some time later and starting new ones seems to take forever.Is there any way to monitor which automations are running and potentially stop them? What about any way of ensuring that only one incarnation of an automation is running at any given time?

I am going cross eyed trying to figure out the correct formula for getting a % field to show up in an automated email as a whole number %. Either rounded up or down. I have tried so many and it still is not pulling correctly. I have tried round up, ceiling and a few other but they never carry over correctly.  

HiI have descriptions filled out on some of my fields in the base. However, it seems like without base editor access, users cannot see the descriptions icon on the interface. Is there a way for viewers without base access can see the descriptions?I'd like users to see the descriptions icon on the interface like below,but users are not able to see the descriptions icon without base editor access. I want to know if it’s possible to remove airtable branding, when I send emails to clients directly through the email integration inside airtable. Additionally - I am trying to email a large list of people with their assigned presentation time slot. Their time slot exists in the start and end time columns. Even though I can see start time displayed as 4/17/2021, 5:45pm, when I link that column inside the email, the result is this: 2021-04-17T22:45:00.000Z. I want the timestamp to appear in a readable format, and right now I can’t send all my presenters emails with their time slot without doing it manually. Is there any solution? Thank you, Essie

Hi!   So I am an agent who books talent for conventions.  I have a base that has like 75 sheets in it.  Each sheet is a convention and on those sheets it is marked which talent is going to that convention.  My question is, can I make another sheet for the front of the base that is basically a "Master Convention list" which would list each of the talent in column A and then in columns B-whatever, list what conventions they are invited to (which sheets they appear on) I can't seem to figure this one out.
