Hi there... We are trying to use Airtable to forecast workload capacity vs. demand. Each project in our forecast has a number of tasks. Each task is assigned a "skill" (the skill required to complete that task), a person-week effort to complete it, and start/end dates. (there's other metadata as well - owners of the tasks, the project each is mapped to, etc)We want to know the total demand required for each skill for each month, and be able to tweak these numbers to match our capacity (which is the same every month).  I'm starting with a regular list of scheduled tasks like this:I've been able to parse the start/end dates and determine the amount of work required for specific months, to get something like this:However, now my monthly e

Hi all.  Airtable is refusing to allow me to create any buttons anywhere in tables (i.e. data section of Airtable), only in interfaces.When I try to create a button field in a table, I always get the same error message: "Sorry, there was a problem creating this field. The options are not valid." It doesn't matter which browser, which device, mobile app - Airtable will not allow me to create any button fields.  You can see a short video of the error in action: https://d.pr/i/ImBrOD Any insight gratefully appreciated, as I really want to start making some buttons to trigger various actions like sending emails or text messages.

Hi! I have an airtable base and within that base a table (table 1) several fields two of which are the email of the company and then a function that parses the email to get the company name.In another table (table 2) in the same base I have linked the company name to an investment fund.I am now trying to link the company in (table 1 ) to the fund it was linked to in table (2), how could I do this?One edge case I anticipate is capitalization / spacing, other then that there shouldn't be issues.I believe I need to use a lookup field but am having issues with configuration

Since the forms layout in the interface is so limited (no ability to add new records in a linked table, no options for lists, grids, etc...), I'm basically using the record details layout as a form for new records entry. The problem is that the solution isn't very elegant. My users have to add a record to a list, and then open the blank record to get into the details. Any idea how to implement a page that would act as a record details form without getting there from a list or grid?

Absolute Beginner here - still struggling to make Airtable do what I want. So here I am - ONE YEAR later after my first post here, and I am not much further forward in my use and comprehension of Airtable.Admittedly, I have not been continuously attempting to learn Airtable in all that time, but the interface really intrigues me and all the examples make it look really easy to master and the fact is - it isn't!  Being a retired database developer, I am not exactly new to the concept!However, I have just spent an hour trying to get a formula in an Airtable base record that gives me what I want - simple - you would think, but no - not for me!All I am trying to do is insert today's date when a status field in the record changes to a certain value.  I've learned that I can use the function today() in a formula field to achieve this. I am trying to create a formula with this information: If a person who booked the reservation was 2 then it should apply the formula if it was anyone other number then the field should be blank or 0.- I have created a field for booked by and put number per person - I have created another field that has : IF({Booked By} =2, "Yes", "No") so this part works ok  - I have created a 3rd field that has:{Points Paid} * 0.04  This works ok So what I am unable to do is say - If booked by is 2 then apply the formula (at the moment the formula inserts for every number not just 2)..... I hope I am making sense. A

Hello! I have set up an automation that post events that are scheudled on the days they happen. The automation is working well except for the time always posting in UTC despite the data being formated for EDT across all users for this particular table. I have added photos of the date set up in the table, the automation, and the post. Would anyone have advice on how to have it post in the correct timezone? Thank you!

New to Airtable, really want to make it work but it seems that it wouldn't work well as a CRM where there is a record of all e-mails and Whatsapp messages between us and the customer, and the ability to send emails/messages directly from Airtable seamlessly (please correct me if I'm wrong).Therefore I am looking at a second service to handle that. Any recommendations that would work well with Airtable?

Hi there,I am relatively new to Airtable.  I enjoy this platform very much and trying to learn more to allow for more automation.  I am hoping someone could assist me in trying to do the following:I have made a view of our enrollments that need to be audited.  I am then setting up an automation to send an email at a particular time of the month for our audit team to pick up this data to audit.  I have tried two different ways but not doing really what I am looking for it to do.First, I created the view in my workspace and then tried setting up an automation to send to our audit team at a certain day and time.  However, it won't let me choose this particular view to send.Secondly, I synced my view to the training teams table and then set up an automation to send the email when a record is added to the view.  This works but it is only an email.  So they have to log into Airtable to view the data.  I was hoping to atta

I have a date in CurDt and I want to add YrOffset to it and end up with a new date in a date format. YrOffset can be negative, positive or 0. I’m not sure how to do it.

We are working with Google Workspace in our company and because of a domain change, our email addresses changed. Since we are all using "Login via Google", we are not able to login anymore. No other tool had any problem with the domain change, just Airtable. We are a Pro user and I reached out to the support on Tuesday early morning. No answer until now. We are not able to access any of our bases. Any idea what we can do?

Hello world, I’m new to airtable and to this community and I think that I need your help :pray: I have a integer field (called “votes”) that is set to 1 when a record is created. I have a checkbox field which is not filled by default. I created this automation : When record matches this criteria = Checkbox is filled Then I want to update the record’s field “votes” by adding 1 But as it’s a integer field I can only “Add a number” :confused: Can you advice me on what should I do please ? I've spent a fair bit of time looking and IF, AND, OR, SWITCH formulas but can't seem to figure this out for making three different options using two fields with the correct punctuation.I have two fields, {Full Name} and {Organization}.If there is just a name, I want 'Full Name'If there is just an organization, I want 'Organization'If there is both a name and organization, I want 'Full Name (Organization)'  This is the least complicated of all the attempts made which seems to work, but I can't figure out how to get the brackets to behave. IF({Full Name}=TRUE(),{Full Name},(IF({Full Name}=FALSE(),{Organization Name},{Full Name}&

I deleted my entire workspace. I am unable to undo because the workspace deletion also took the Trash button.  Desperately needing help. Airtable support is unwilling to help and suggests I reach out to the support community. In the meantime the clock is ticking. The seven day windows to undo the deletion is rapidly closing.

I have one field that I would like to generate from three other ones. First Name, Last Name and Company If there is a first and last name in the directory I would like to display it as the following: Last Name, First Name If there is no person’s name then I would like it to only display the name of the company. I just don’t know how to remove the space and comma. Currently using this: CONCATENATE({Last Name}, ", “, {First Name},” ",Company) I’m thinking I need some sort of IF/THEN statement?? Thanks!

Is there someone who can share an easy to follow example on how to retrieve data from Airtable and show them in a Nuxt 3 app? I managed to call the data but struggle to return the data to the vue page where I want to display it. I realise that this is not really a problem with Airtable, I would just want an example I can follow. There seem to be many different approaches, via a Netlify function (not my preferred option), using the Airtable.js library, using a "composable" ...  

In a lookup field which returns multiple values (a comma separated array of values) the sort order seems random. Is there a way to sort this result alphabetically? Thank you.

Hi- So I know just enough to be dangerous. To myself. So thanks for any help you can provide.I am trying to time stamp records when the Status changes to Pending. I figured out the formula, but as soon as the Status changes from Pending to Published (the next step in the process), the time stamp goes away. I am trying to keep track of when writers submit their articles (marked Pending).Is there any way to keep that time stamp - even when the Status gets changed from Pending to Published? Is there a better/smarter way to accomplish this?Thanks for any help you can provide.

Looking for help. We are on a pro plan and currently have a shared workspace, which means everyone in my organisation can access all bases. I’d like to amend this so that we can have private bases as well. Can anyone help?

Hey everyone,We're currently building a "content library" of video clips in AT... And instead of having our editors click a URL that takes them "out" of Airtable... I'd love for them to have a way to just play the video from WITHIN Airtable itself. Is there a way to do this?One thing to mention is that we are using Iconik for our media storage. So the code (or extension) would need to pull from/integrate with Iconik into Airtable. The purpose is just to make things easier/faster for our editors to click and play clips from within Airtable... instead of having to open a new tab every time they want to see a clip. Hope that makes sense!
