Is there a way to make this interface less bulky? it's not very user friendly when looking at certain overviews to leave comments. Is it possible to make it look more like basecamp?

Hello all -I am trying to figure out if there is a way to "deep link" to a specific interface form. I have a list-type interface page that lists Notes. (https://airtable.com/appXXXXXX/pagYYYYYYYY) It has an action button "Add New Note." Clicking that pops up a modal New Note form, but the URL in the browser does not change. However if I click on a record, that record has a unique URL. (https://airtable.com/appXXXX?detail=YYYYYYYYYYY) The question: Is there a URL, or a way to construct one, that will give me the List page with the New Note overlay?

 GreetingsI work with MAKE and I have a very strange problem with the remove function to remove a value/array from an arrayI receive in MAKE an array of linked fields and I want to return the entire array except for one ID that I received from a separate module in MAKE for some reason it didn't workI tried to insert the ID that I want to remove manually into the remove and it did work for meI checked what the difference is between them and I saw that when I receive it from the second module it is surrounded by square brackets and when I insert it manually it is not surrounded by square brackets (meaning the square brackets make it not work...) why is this happening to me? (What's interesting... that add even if you enter with square

Hey folks -We've built a workflow using Airtable tables. We filled the tables with some test data to get us going, and then cleaned the table in preparation for using the workflow. However, since deleting the data, testing automation scripts seems to fail. It seems to be pulling a record ID that no longer exists. Is there a way to manually choose what record to test an automation against?

Hello,Let's say I have a table for employees and have an Interface Gallery.  In the Gallery I am showing a headshot, name and title.  When someone clicks on the card it open up a Sidesheet with hometown, state and work history.  When I am looking at the Gallery view with all the cards (ie no Sidesheet shown) and do a search, the results are only showing cards where the search term is visible on the card.  In other words, the search is not searching the entire record, only what is shown.So, if I was searching for any employee named "Bob" then it works returning all the employees with "bob" in there name.  But if I search for "Maine" to find out how many employees are from Maine, then it does not work. Additionally, is there a wildcard available in the search? If I type in "Ma" then I would want anyone with a state of Alabama, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ma

Hi, I have a base where each record in a table represents an exterior item. When the item changes in AirTable, I need that change to be pushed to the exterior database. I want to check the external file for each record every 30 minutes or so to see if the file has changed on the external system.The code that I have implemented to do this is getting bogged down. There seem to simply be a backlog of automations to run. Even though I have turned them off, they are still running some time later and starting new ones seems to take forever.Is there any way to monitor which automations are running and potentially stop them? What about any way of ensuring that only one incarnation of an automation is running at any given time?

I am going cross eyed trying to figure out the correct formula for getting a % field to show up in an automated email as a whole number %. Either rounded up or down. I have tried so many and it still is not pulling correctly. I have tried round up, ceiling and a few other but they never carry over correctly.  

HiI have descriptions filled out on some of my fields in the base. However, it seems like without base editor access, users cannot see the descriptions icon on the interface. Is there a way for viewers without base access can see the descriptions?I'd like users to see the descriptions icon on the interface like below,but users are not able to see the descriptions icon without base editor access. Is there a way to work around giving base editor access? Thanks!

I want to know if it’s possible to remove airtable branding, when I send emails to clients directly through the email integration inside airtable. Additionally - I am trying to email a large list of people with their assigned presentation time slot. Their time slot exists in the start and end time columns. Even though I can see start time displayed as 4/17/2021, 5:45pm, when I link that column inside the email, the result is this: 2021-04-17T22:45:00.000Z. I want the timestamp to appear in a readable format, and right now I can’t send all my presenters emails with their time slot without doing it manually. Is there any solution? Thank you, Essie

Hi!   So I am an agent who books talent for conventions.  I have a base that has like 75 sheets in it.  Each sheet is a convention and on those sheets it is marked which talent is going to that convention.  My question is, can I make another sheet for the front of the base that is basically a "Master Convention list" which would list each of the talent in column A and then in columns B-whatever, list what conventions they are invited to (which sheets they appear on) I can't seem to figure this one out. Any help would be appreciated

We're having an issue with analysing some data/ representing it in charts in Interface designer.We have survey data and one of the questions is a multi-select field. When you try to represent the answers as a pie chart/ percentage, you get strange answers, 41 out of 45 people picked a particular answer (as one of their options) but the pie chart says it is 9.5% rather than 91% of people who gave this choice if that makes sense. I guess it's calculating it as a percentage out of all the options ticked by everyone rather than out of the responses... I can see the data better as a bar chart but this just gives the number of responses, not the percent choosing that option if that makes sense.I can figure out the answers using count/ roll-up fields in a totals table if needed but this feels quite a complex solution, does anyone have a better idea of how to get the answers we need? Ideally in one chart rather than lots of individual percentage calculations but maybe that's j

Hi!Recently a form I made had several of the fields overwritten when I added another form to it. The field went from a text response to a file upload, deleting all the text responses. I can see the deleted responses if I go to the individual row items and look through the version history. Is there anyway to undo the overwriting on the field level?

I am creating a raffle ticket lookup system to enter in sold raffle tickets and then find the ticket winner info once a winner is determined.I start the process by entering a phone number and a starting ticket number along with how many tickets were purchased. This creates an array of every ticket that person purchased in a field.In another table, I have basket 1, then enter the winning ticket number. I created an automation that searches the arrays - when the ticket number is found it updates the record for the persons telephone number. Then a txt message goes out to the winner. This worked great for a few weeks. Now, it updates the winner with every entry - so every phone number from every buyer comes in. 

I have 2 tables: “Home Staging Projects” and “Inventory Items”. In the “Home Staging Projects” table, I want to vlookup on the “Project ID” and return the sum total of “Rental Price” for each inventory item selected for that project listed on the “Inventory Items” table. I hope that makes sense.I’m not sure if this makes a difference, but the “Inventory Items” table is linked to the “Home Staging Projects” table by (formula) “Project ID”.Is there a way to use a formula for this?

Hello,I would like to know how to add tokens to the message body for an automated email which are from a different table than the single table linked to the button in the trigger. Is this possible? I have 2 linked tables: POs and line items. I need the automated email to contain a list or grid of the line items and info from the PO table about the supplier and the PO#. Or, is there some way to format the grid in the email so that it doesn't get scrunched up like this? I need the numbers to align with line items exactly.Thanks in advance for any suggestions! 

Hey guys. I’m trying to simplify a de-dupe routine. Scenario: I have a significant amount of records I’m importing. Many have identical IDs but have one multiple-select field that is different. I need to merge those into one record to combine the multiple selects. My manual process has been to do the following: Copy/paste new data in. Run De-Dupe App manually, checking every record. This works, but it’s super time-consuming. I need to automate the process. Is there any batch process to handle this? It’s always the same result. Needs to merge against the ID. All other fields remain the same, the only change is the multiple-select field. Ideas? Thanks.

Hi,I try to set a link within the same command, that created a new record. The createRecordAsync command works as long as I set all other attributes, except the one with a link (the red line). As soon as I add the red part, I get the error message - see screenshot. Hi, we have a Table 1 with many fields. We want to use the same fields for Table 2, with different data. Often we want to change some of the fields, such as formulas. So, suppose I modify the formula for my "Average Cost" field in Table 1. Is there a way to make the formula change identically for my "Average Cost" field in Table 2?

Hello, I've looked around for an answer to this but haven't found one yet, apologies if I've been looking in the wrong place or the answer is obvious.My airtable has a list of filename prefixes in one field and a corresponding number of files in another. The prefixes are formatted something like this: item-01, and then there would be a file count that can range up into the dozens. What I am hoping to do is use those two fields to create a file name list. So if the file count was 2, I would want a list that would go something likeitem-01-001.tifitem-01-002.tifThis data would then be output to a "filenames" tab in the airtable. Is this doable? I am not good with formulas so I've been trying various solutions using linked records and automations but I haven't had any luck. Thank you for reading!
