I've created a script that is attached to a view's button.In this script, I'm calling an API with remoteFetchAsync().  I need to supply basic authentication credentials, but btoa() and Buffer don't work in my script: const authorization = btoa(`${ credentials.username }:${ credentials.password }`)const authorization = Buffer.from(`${ credentials.username }:${ credentials.password }`).toString('base64')output.text(`authorization: ${authorization}`)Is there another option?Is TypeScript supported in a script that is triggered by a button?  If so, how do I enable it?FYI, the "Ask the community" link (https://community.airtable.com/c/developers/scripting) returns 404.

I’m trying to integrate SAP Business One (SAP B1) Service Layer API with Airtable scripting to fetch business partner data. The integration works perfectly in Postman and Python, but when I run the same API request inside an Airtable scripting block, I get the following error:401 - Invalid session or session already timeout. What I’ve Tried: Confirmed that it works in Postman and Python I can successfully authenticate and fetch data from SAP B1. Session ID is returned properly, and I manually add the ROUTEID. Using remoteFetchAsync() in Airtable Scripting I correctly pass Content-Type and Cookie headers. Thanks in advance for any help but I am stumped. I am trying to automate updating a multi-select field from a Linked Record Field, and after looking for help here I found this thread: I followed the guidelines here but I am running into an issue with a completely different field. Hi! Very new to this process and Airtable, so I’m sorry if this is confusing/doesn’t have enough to go on, or uses the incorrect terminology. If anything needs clarification please just ask! Hi there, hoping someone can assist me. I need a formula that will note true/false based on an attachment field.For further context, this will be used in another formula that combines various fields into a link which goes to a custom Typeform. The fields from Airtable are set as hidden fields, but at the moment I'm having issues with the logic because it can't recognise if the data is true/false since the entire file name is showing. Having this terminology would be good so I can simplify the link and the Typeform logic.I tried working with the TRUE formula but couldn't get that to work.Let me know if you need more information. Hello,I am in need of a formula that can calculate a duration of time for payroll for hourly employees. I have a column with Start Time and one with End Time using duration. I also have separate columns for both to capture AM or PM. I just can’t seem to get the formula correct and getting the correct duration. If I need to change my columns I am up to however it can work. I do have a date column to if that helps with the formula. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi - I'm absolutely stuck trying to achieve the results I want, and I'm hoping for some focused support. I have 3 Tables in my Base:- Vendors - which contains companies I contract work from.- Resources - which contains the individual resources that work at those companies, as well as their individual monthly rates. Resources are linked to Vendors.- Monthly Cost - contains a list of records for each month of the year (eg; January 2025, February 2025, March 2025, etc).  In Resources, I'm assigning Months, from the Monthly Cost table, for when I expect this resource to work. In Monthly Cost table, can see the assigned resources by month, and I created a Rollup field to show the Vendor names associated with the Resources that are assigned to the month. I'm reaching out for your expertise. My sample table has three date fields: Joined, Separated, and Date Rejoined. It also has two formula fields: Prior # of Years from Joined date to Separated and Total Years. I need your helpto correct the formula for calculating the total years of membership.I am trying to calculate the total number of years they have been members. I can do that, but the problem is that when they join, separate, and rejoin, we don’t give them credit for the years they were gone/separated. Here is the formula I used for Total years. I’m sure my formula must be wrong for the “total years including prior years".     DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Joined},'days')/365 - {Prior # of Years from Joined date to Separated}But for members who have never separated, it gives me NaN for prior and total. I am working with two separate bases in Airtable and would like to use a Lookup field to retrieve data from a table in another base. Is there a native way to achieve this without relying on third-party integrations?Additionally, I need to link a specific cell from one table in a base to another table in a different base. Is there a built-in Airtable feature that allows this?I would appreciate any insights or best practices from those who have worked with similar requirements.

We have a list of names and dates, like so McClelland, David (1820 - 1899) We would like to separate the dates from the the name, so everything in parentheses would be extracted and moved to a new column. I know there must be some code for this, but I am not sure what it is. Help! Kevin

I am trying to create an automation to tag Donors as recurring when they make a donation that has a recurrence of more than 1. One table has Donors, and the other has Donations and a field called “Recurrence Number.” I tried to set it up so that when a donation record enters the view “recurring” (because the donation has a recurrence number higher than 1) the Donor in the linked record field has a field updated to tag them as a “recurring donor.” But i keep getting the error “the record does not exist and am not sure why. 

Hello! I am trying to build a Base/Automation in Airtable to count how many times an event occurs in a week, and then add/subtract it. Essentially, to count how many times customers use the events that they paid for, and then subtract it from the events they have remaining. I set up a Pivot Table to do the count, but I am not sure how to set up the Table with the actual schedule in it, without have to create new fields/columns each week. Specifically, I am having trouble figuring out how to set this up in terms of the fields and columns. It’s the same time blocks each week, I’m just having trouble figuring out the skeleton of this table in the base… I looked through the Help and Templates section, but none of them seem to address this particular part of the scheduling process…  Any ideas/advice would be welcome, I’m sure this isn’t a unique use-case, I’m just having trouble with this one table… Thank You!

Hi everyone, We’re experiencing an issue with how linked records display in our Airtable base, and I’m hoping someone can help. Our setup includes two tables: Jobs and DS. Each job can be linked to one or more DS records. However, when we create a new job and link a DS record to it, the DS record doesn’t immediately appear—it remains hidden until we refresh the page. This makes our workflow a bit frustrating, as we have to manually refresh to see the newly linked records. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it? I’ve attached a screenshot for reference. Appreciate any insights! Thanks in advance!

Once I start the Airtable app on Windows 10 it fills up the entire screen. I am unable to size it smaller like I can do with a typical window by dragging the edges. How to fix this?

Dans ces champs les valeurs peuvent être entrées dans des ordres différents. Le résultat serait par exemple le remplissage d’un champ “TEST” renseigné automatiquement “OK” si vrai et “NON OK” si faux.Je n’y arrive pas que ce soit avec une formule ou un script. Needing the ability for a manager to oversee tasks while various team members do their parts as it moves through a recurring monthly process.If the manager is assigned all tasks they’re responsible for managing, it looks like they have about 240 things to do when that’s not really accurate, making it challenging for the manager to parse out their real to-do’s vs the tasks they’re responsible for but are currently being working on by someone else. If the manager is not assigned to the tasks, it’s difficult for them to monitor the progress of all tasks. Example: A manager is responsible for 60 client tasks being completed in a month, moving through a kanban board for various stages and assignees doing their part. 4 other team members have action items for all the tasks at various points. How can the manager see progress of their tasks while the action item is with someone else? Basically, the manager needs an accurate view of their actual action item

I’m trying to create an automation that is basically:If publish date is yesterday and status is not ‘published’ then the publish date updates to today.  I saw some people mentioning creating a TODAY() formula field and using that as a dynamic trigger. Questions with this:How will this field affect already existing records?  What needs to be added between the parentheses of the TODAY() formula?

Is there a non-scripting way to filter out specific filenames from an attachment field? Interface look up field displaying jackets of manuscripts. Want to show all images bar those with the filename “Placeholder.png” Had hoped for an “Only include linked records where ‘Jacket’ ‘filenames does not contain’ but missing that one.Or a formula where I can use FILTER into a second field but still display an image?Didn’t want to use scripting as want to keep as a look up  but maybe I’m missing something? Any ideas appreciated!   

Hello, I’ve recently come across Airtable as I’m researching how to create a local business directory website. This tool seems really helpful for creating databases, however I’m not sure how this can be incorporated into my site, I’m building my own website, my dev knowledge is not vast right now as I have some refreshing to do, but it’ll just be in HTML/Javascript. Is it possible to incorporate this into my site, and then modify the appearance with some CSS? If so, can anyone help provide information or point me in the direction of the help article for this?Thank you!

Hi all,I need to generate a 4 digit code from the year a record was created and how many records have come before in that year.E.g the 5th record that has been created in 2023 = 2305.I have reformatted the referral date DATETIME_FORMAT({Date of Referral},"YY") but unable to get a COUNTIF function to work to count how many referrals have been made before this one where the referral date is in the same year.
