Hi Airtable community,I am an avid user of Airtable for some time now, and am going deeper into spreading data in different bases (within 1 workspace) and letting these bases interact. I checked some other forum posts and the Airtable notes on how to get tables to sync manually, however am only able to find the below:beyond the manual trigger button, there is no way to directly trigger a sync action between 2 tableswork around is to update a record in a synced table, to trigger Airtable's automated sync actionanother work around, or combined with the above, is to use 3rd party tools eg. Zapier to touch a record and trigger a syncI was hoping for another way to trigger a sync action (API or Airtable functionality) directly eg. by automation, so not by doing the above. But to my understanding this does not (yet) exist. FYI I am on a Team plan. The use case would be to overwrite data for scenario management, meaning different bases represent different scenario's that need updating on
Hello Airtable Community, I've started building a Project management tool on Airtable for a marketing agency that sells consultants time.The Project management part is quite straightforward even though I believe this might change based on the agency needs and internal processes.However, I am now facing some difficulties to implement the "Time reporting" part to this tool. (bases are connected) : 1 - Project (information regarding customer, start/end dates, tasks, sub tasks, consultants, #total available hours, #total spent hours #nb of tasks completed ...) This is meant to organize projects, track budget and project progress. Projects, are tracking time on related tasks. 2 - Tasks (information regarding the tasks to perform : start/end dates, sub-tasks, status, priority, consultants, predecessors/sucessors, time for the task, time spent on task ... ) these are the main action to perform within a project. Hi all,I'm trying to set up an automation that sends an Outlook email with an attachment. The email works and sends, and the test email is received into the inbox but the attachment isn't there on the outgoing email.The attachment field is filled 'Doc 1st Email' from the relevant column, the attachment is in the column,I'm really at a loss as to what I'm missing here.

Use-case: As an Automation user, I have a use-case where I want to on a weekly scheduled (cron) basis query records that meet the criteria in one table and then create new child records of another table to the parent table and then email a consolidated report that includes the newly created childed records to the relevant recipientsCurrent outcome I can use the `Find` action to query for the specific and relevant records just fine, however, it is my understanding that once I use a `repeater logic` block, I can't "exit" the loop and append an Action outside of the repeater block once that the repeater has finished,Is my understanding about this feature limitation correct? Hello! I am currently pulling info from Jira into a table, and then pulling Sprint Start / End dates from Jira into another table. Because Jira doesn't expose that information directly, it is pulled into a GSheet, which I then pull into Airtable.The Sprint Name is pulled from Jira directly into my main table, and there is an exact match for each in the Sprint Info table. I created a Link to Another Record field which sources from the Sprint Info table, and corresponding Start / End date Lookup fields based on that table. I created an Automation that looks for any records in my main table that have a non-empty value and updates the Sprint Info 'Link to' field with the value from the Sprint field (screenshot below).When I generate a preview of the automation results, I can see that the Sprint Info linked field gets a value, but when I go back to my table, nothing is actually being updated. Any idea what I might be doing wrong, or a better way to accomplish this?
Our team is moving from Power Automate Flows to Airtable and I would like to see if its possible to replicate the automations. I understand that some features are very similar however Power Automate has a 'Parse JSON' feature that Airtable does not have. Do you know the best way to replicate this into Airtable?
Hi,So far we've been building a small CRM for internal use. Out of curiosity I started wondering if it would be possible to re-design it to support other companies. I've seen multi-company databases having an owner identifying prefix to fields, e.g.company1_projectcompany2_projectcompany1_e-mailcompany2_e-mail etc etcFor users there's the abstraction "current user" but haven't seen anything like "current organisation" as an access role qualifier. How would one build any access right system hard limiting any access to the user's own organisation.Would this be at all possible to design? Or would one need something like Bubble on top? Which then would take away the whole point of Airtable, and suggest doing everything from scratch within that environment, non?Rgds,Björn
Hey y'all, dunno if anyone has experience with this or if it's even possible, but is there a way to turn off user caching (or enforce today centric) for an embedded calendar view?I have a publicly shared calendar interface embedded in a webpage, but for repeat visitors it caches where the calendar was set at last access rather than defaulting to today (it's a month view). I wouldn't consider this a big problem if it only does this when you move the calendar around (then you've demonstrated ability in using the nav tools) but if you visit the page in November, and then again in December, it defaults to November for example. I looked at the embed code and didn't see anything, and explored all the options I see in the Interface designer. My site CMS is Wordpress by the way, but this issue still arises if you were to use the "View larger version" feature so I feel like it's an Airtable thing.
Dear community, I have a table in which I am tracking multiple records, each has a PDF attached to it. I am trying to create an automated report using Documint that will list all these records. I am trying to attach the PDFs to the Documint Report, but it does not display them. It works fine with image files though. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I have an issue, and im not sure if there is any possibility to do it, but could be a great help form my data base functionality. I need to, under some circunstances which would trigger the automation, to print through an extension that specific record as a PDF, and then send it as an attachment on an email. Hi.When a form is submitted I want to send an email with a PDF of the submitted form.. I know how to create automation for an email, but now I ran into a problem of how to get that PDF. I already created how the PDF will look like with extension (Page designer) but I don't know how to automate that when the Form is submitted that the PDF is created (and also sent as attachment). So bottom line: I want that the PDF is created when the Form is submitted (and also if there is possibility, that this PDF is saved in the "attachemnt" field in the same Table). Thanks.
Hello AirTable Community,I am trying to export multiple AirTable records in one PDF. Concrete case is a list of samples that have several values, I want to create a pdf that will be handed to the lab for testing containing a list of multiple selected records in a nice format, not just a CSV. Are there any tools or extension for that? I couldn't find anything so far. If this is not possible in AirTable, does anyone know a work around? For example exporting a view as CSV and then automatically converting the CSV to the PDF format, maybe in Google Workspace? Or through the interface?Thank you very much!
I know zero about coding, apps, etc. (yes, I can hear you saying “OK Boomer”). I am looking for a basic explanation of what API is (besides what the acronym stands for, which I had to Google), and why I need it to use Airtable. I am trying to use Airtable as a shared resource for a team to track tasks and task deadlines and status. No integrating with cell phones, no accessing data from somewhere else.
I want to copy “Sum” values of grouped fields within a table, and a field’s “sum” value agnostic of groupings. The information exists, I can see it, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to copy the data for pasting into other fields and/or external applications. Currently, I have to visually reference and manually type the sum value to use the data. This is arduous and prone to errors. I feel like I must be missing something obvious…Does anyone know how to perform this basic function? Thanks in advance!
I am trying to create an automation which take entries in one table to create a record in another table. It is currently erroring out on the date field as it seems to have multiple dates in the field (not sure why since I only see one date). Is there a way to get the latest date or the date of the current value? I have also noticed that there are other fields with multiple entries as the project information is update. Is there any way to just get the latest information? Do I have to write a script? Here are some screen shots
Right now we have a few different bases where contacts live and we're thinking of restructuring our workspace so there is one master contact list. Within the master contacts table we will have filtered views that can be synced to the relevant bases. The bases where our current contacts live have automations through Airtable and Zapier with 2 way syncs with our Salesforce and other apps. In theory it makes sense to have one master list so we can easily track all of the information for each contact in one place.My fear is that creating one master list for the whole org to use (~24 people) will cause issues if there are upload errors/mistakes or automation errors/mistakes that will impact the whole org all at once. Our organization has contacts for our members (10,000+), donors, prospective donors(5k+), press contacts, political contacts, and basically anyone else we interact with. I'm also wondering if the time commitment of this would be worth it right now. I imagine this is going to be
We are excited about the ability to now make Forms in the interface instead of as just a view in the data layer. A lot more customization (can you say rich text formatting in the description 🙌?!). However, I don't seem to see the option in the interface version of Forms to allow users to request a copy of their responses like it does in the "view" Form of the data layer. Is this accurate or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!
I am trying to create a form to simplify uploading files to a “Lookup” style attachments field. The table we work out of (Table W) consists mostly of lookup fields pulled from another table (Table S), including the attachments field in question. Multiple records are generated on Table W from Table S and we do not want to upload project files separately to every single related record on Table W. The primary field on Table S is a formula field derived from entries within that record. There are no other unique fields that can be used in a form to select a specific record to allow an upload to the desired field. Any ideas on how to make this work? I can’t show any examples of the tables, but I can try to fill in anything I may have missed in my description. This is where I am stuck, we have a few users who are unable to navigate through the linked fields to add the files to the correct place. Asking these users to switch to Table S and then find the correct field for upload may be equally
Hi! Excited about the ability to use forms in Interface. I have a question about single select fields in Interface Forms. Currently, if you type in a new option in the single select column in the Airtable base and that option currently doesn’t exist, you can add it to the single select column by pressing enter (after you’re typed up the new option). I am not able to add new options to a single select field in my Airtable Interface form. Am I missing something or has someone found a solution for this? Thanks all!
I’m trying to design an easy-to-enter table or form where people can enter bookings very quickly. The issue is with choosing a date, a start time and an end time. In other software I’ve used - you can tap a 'Start time" field - quickly type 10 or 1030, or 10:30, or 7 or 730 or 0730 or 07:30 and the software sorts out the formatting. (This is 24hr format by the way) I’ve been trying to get something similar in Airtable and got halfway there with DateTimeParse - but it has been choking on 3-digit times (eg 730 for 7:30am). I’ve even done a formula including an IF statement to check the length of the input and try a different format. But frankly these all seem like massive cludges to fix a basic lack in Airtable - either a Time-only field type, or Input Masking - or input format forcing. I should be able to easily choose the correct format for a field and if someone enters a time incorrectly it will pop up a message to direct them to use the correct format (in this case a 4-digit time fi
