Hello, I need help figuring out the best base set-up for my specific conditions. Working backwards, I want to be able to download as a CSV one accurate list of records that will all receive a printed mail piece. The records must contain: address line1 address line2 city state zip Addresses will contain one of the following options: Person info: Person’s First Name Person’s Last Name Organization info: Organization’s Name Both #1 and #2 The tables I currently have: People People Addresses Organizations (addresses in this table) I need a way for the table or view that I download the CSV from to pull the correct mailing address because I have some organizations that do not have a person affiliated with them. Do I have my tables organized in the best way? Is there an automation that I need to run to achieve my goals? Is it a lookup field that I need to use instead of automation? I have the FREE version of Airtable and it is unlikely I’d be able to use a paid version. Thanks!

I am not quite sure I’m using the right languaging here but basically… I want fellow MFA film students to be able to toggle ALL selections from a dropdown list of potential crew roles identifying those crew positions that are, say, their #1 career goals (i.e.: what they came to school to focus on for their career: Director, Screenwriter, Producer, whatever) as distinct from those roles they are “Good At/Willing to Do” (to help other students out with their projects: Script Supervising, Editing, Production Sound Recordist, Boom Operate, Craft Services, Catering, etc.) vs. those crew positions they are willing to learn/try “if you’re desperate” :winking_face: versus those positions they don’t have the skills necessary to even pinch-hit TRY help out with (Composing, Color Correction, Wardrobe Design, Set Design, whatever). I’m thinking it might be like the translation of a Google Multiple Choice Grid vs. Checkbox Grid Survey to Airtable OR simply a ranking grid? Or…??? Am I making this

Hi ! I am a new user and need help to understand how to set up Airtable for best use with my flower farm - I have an in-depth product list done and just need some questions answered involving inventory and client orders and invoicing! I would love to be able to screen share and have you walk me through best practices to set myself up on the right track!

We think the first step is to take the current legacy database we use (Sesame by Lantica) and convert to Airtable with the proper tables and form views. Looking for someone to take ours and set this up. We have clients, new and current, who need one or multiple eviction lawsuits each year. We will then need a portal for registration and log in for new and current clients so the info that they send in populates the Airtable database and can connect to the client’s contact and create a new matter. I have screen shots and can give you the legacy database software we use.

Hi Everyone, As mentioned I’m new to airtable and I’m trying to build an app / project management tool to help me run my business. We are an e-learning platform creating and distributing courses through our website. My challenge is that I have several grades (Grade 5, 6 ,7 8, 9 , 10, 11, 12, 13). Under these grades I have different Subjects/ Courses (Maths, physics, Chemistry, Eng Literature etc…) and that each of the courses are composed with lessons, topics and sub topics. If I am not getting a clean structure, I’m afraid I will get lost very quickly. The idea here is to be able to track the production progress from top (Grades) to bottom (Sub topics) using different status (Not started, Techer recruited, Pre production, Production, Post production, Publishing , review etc…) Each of these status should be link to a speciffic piece of content and at the top, I should be able to identify the progress for each grades, courses, and lessons. Does anyone has an idea of how t get started? T

Is it possible to color code a record based on a due date, but just the ones that are in the current week? Example: Today is Thursday, so all the records with a today or tomorrow (Friday) due date would be colored red. I know that color based on “within the next week” or “within X number of days” exists, but I need the records for the current week only. Thanks!

Hi every one, we are looking to change our work space from google to airtable but we encounter a huge problem. We need to be able to mark individual cells, like with colour or comments, or other ways, but it appears to be impossible to do so in airtable, because every possible way to mark is by field or conditions. thanks everyone!

Hello Airtable Community, I am reaching out for some help with the creation of a board for an onboarding process for the new artists that are part of our platform. First I have all of the artists grouped by status in one table. I prepared a checklist of steps that are linked to collaborators in the base in a separate table. My goal is to populate a separate Kanban board with all of the checklist items appearing as cards in the Onboarding board with a due date based on the date that the record of the Artist is added to the Form view and status is set to “Pending”. I’m looking for some advice regarding how I can get all the tasks to populate into the Kanban. Thanks in advance to the Airtable community.

I’m using Airtable to build a list of donors for our non-profit organization. The records are identified by the name of the donor. Some donors make multiple donations throughout the year. How can I reflect these frequent donations without building a whole new record? Thank you so much.

Hi all! I’m looking for a way to copy airtable record URLs in bulk. In order to find a specific record’s URL I need to right-click it and select the option “Copy record’s URL”, but how do I do it when I need to copy the URLs of 1000+ records?

I am trying to set this up. I have a Table with a list of companies, years, and list links where I got them from. I have another table with the list links, list names and years. I am trying to get the companies to merge into one source with the list names and years that they appeared. Images below - the one with colored multiple select is the similar to what I’m looking ot get as a result. Any help if all of the companies are in one table appended for each list.

Hi, I have a form in one table. I have duplicated the table because most of the information is useful in the second table. If I delete the form in the duplicated (second table) will that delete it from the first table? Thanks Rob

Hello all, I started a base and before I get too far I thought I might ask the community to help me start on the right track. I would like to track the fabrication of a lot of piping assemblies. Hi, I am trying to create the following relationship between records in the same table: I have a table called CONTACTS. I have a Linked Record Field called CUSTOMER which links to the same CONTACTS table (Multiple choice is activated). For Contact A I select Contact B in the CUSTOMER field. In return I want the the AGENT field for Contact B to automatically display Contact A. How do I format the AGENT field to do that? Thank you for your help! Tobias

How can I add a field validation for a four-digit year to ensure that only numbers between 2000-2050 are entered?

I’ve got a base that I’m using for my Boutique Hotel, but I’ve made a mess of it while learning the ropes; so I’m starting from scratch. Is there a base design template that I could make use of? My Property Management System feeds in the reservations through Zapier, as is the Stripe Payments - I’m hoping to create a junction table to connect the stripe payment to the reservations table and the CRM table.

Is it possible to add users to the base and restricting them on a more granular level - prevent the user from deleting fields (columns) in the table. All other editing functions should be unlocked, that is creating views and deleting views even deleting records. I know at least in theory I could achieve something like this idea by using synced tables (?Right?), but I believe the synced tables add too many restrictions. I am wondering if there is any other way around the security setup for the user. To be honest I haven’t look too much around, just looked at the collaborators dialogue settings hoping I could see something like that there but it’s not there. Collaborating is something I haven’t used yet, so maybe I am missing something here? Basically I this is to create the limited user for myself. I am always concerned deleting fields by mistake. The menu option Hide and Delete are so notoriously close to each other. It happened to me a couple of times already when I clicked Delete in

Hello everyone! I need to implement order creation in e-commerce. So, I have a “Products” table and an “Orders” table. The “Orders” table has a “Selected Products” field that is linked to the “Products” table. When a user selects a product, the link is implemented and all data from the “Products” is provided in the “Orders table”. There is such a case when the user must select the quantity for each product, and the total amount must be calculated accordingly. However, I have no idea how to bind each quantity for each product that is taken from “Products” table. Can you give any suggestions to solve this problem? The architecture looks like this: Table “Orders”: fields “Selected Products”: Product1, Product 2 [links]; “Total Amount”, “Quantities” (Here user needs to enter for Product1 and Product 2); “Price” (from “Products”) Table “Products”: fields “Name”, “Quantity”, “Price” Total amount = price[0] * quantities[0] + price[1] * quantities[1] (I need such formula)

I’m working on a base to track interviews. One thing that is causing confusion is the following: when does linking tables cause issues? For instance, in the screenshot, I’m worried that structure will cause issues since: company is connected to Contacts, which is also connected to Interviews and company is connected to Job Postings, which is also connected to interviews. My goal is as follows, when I have an interview, I would like to add a new line item in Interview and be able to pick the contact and the job (e.g. job 123, with the VP of XYZ). Here is what I came up with…will this cause issues? do you have suggestions? Thank you! This community is amazing, by the way.

I am building a basic expense tracker. I have Transaction Types, Categories, & then Sub-Categories For example, I would like to input the sale of a commodity in Excel. “Transaction Type: Income > (Next Column will only select Income Categories) Category: Seed Sales >(Next Columns will only select Seed Sales Sub-Categories) > 2019 Alfalfa” Does AirTable have capability for this? I already created and tied together all my tags but the Lookup option is not the solution I was looking for.

Hello, I am a distributor with multiple resellers that I have to report back to the manufacturer with a summary of all reseller’s sales. I have identical tables for each reseller (things like invoice #, MSRP, discount, reseller level, etc,), they are all the same. I need a summary table that incorporates all the same information for all resellers so that it is basically a master table summary of all invoices (the individual invoice items do not need to be displayed here as it is on the reseller’s specific table), and grouped by year or reseller. I have tried a number of ideas and am not getting what I am looking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charlie-

I wonder if anybody found a solution to disable the key combo: Control + Del Command + Del Both key combos (I am on Mac) delete the whole record (whole row). That is sometimes a problem, I press accidentally the combination of keys rather than just Delete button. Often I find it very late and I don’t even know what record was deleted so it’s hard to go through backups. Airtable Application Menus (toolbar menus) are sparse and there are barely any commands in the application menus. There is no command there to delete the record. If there was, I could use replace ot disable the key combination in the keyboard settings. I looked into Keyboard Maestro, but that disables the key combination for any application, which is not what I want. The key combo is needed anywhere else, including the Finder app on Mac. Before I go and try to mess with the Karabiner app for MacOS, which may be able to disable the key combination for Airtable only. However, I don’t have much experience with Karabiner so
