Some of them had me chuckling and others were simply boring. A few even triggered yawns from time-to-time despite being hopped up on Black Rifle Coffee. This post is yet another tell, and no show. Just a few tips from an old dude who’s written about 41.8 million lines of code. I’m an analytics guy, so yeah - I pretty much know how many lines of code I’ve written since 1978. Being this old and this “seasoned” in the fine art of crafting software, I get away with saying stuff that might come off as crude or insensitive. Hello All, I am looking for a good article that explains what a Airtable base is? When I look at https://airtable.com/pricing Records per Base seems to be the main difference between Free, Plus and Pro? That leads to the question, what is a Base?

I have a a database in two formats, a complete one and one for public viewing with some private information hidden. I have three forms related to the databases that also need to be embedded on a website. Need some help, or direction to a tutorial that will give me some info on how to accomplish this.

I currently have all of the components on separate basic programs that I would like to integrate on AirTable, I understand somewhat but know that this platform is quite powerful if used correctly and need someone expert in all of the nuances in order to set up form the beginning in the correct way to maximize usage. Looking for someone to help us build out a workspace for my race event. Basically this is how it breaks down: 1,500 Racers …making up 450 Teams… …across 80 different classes… …over two days of racing… …with 6 total races… …on 3 different race courses… There are many different components to the event like merchandising, ticketing, vendors/exhibitors, staffing, etc… We are looking to organize things under one roof and utilize AirTable to its full potential, just need some help getting things set up.

EdTech Start-up. While we can spend the time building everything ourself… We are looking for someone to create it quicker and more efficiently than we could - saving time and money down the line. We are also running into problems with users (we will have many ICs that need to view a workflow table AND only collaborate on it IF they choose- without admin permission or approval). We would prefer not paying individual user fees connected with Airtable for everyone who’s sitting around - maybe deciding to collaborate… so need to find a workaround. Hi everybody, I use Airtable as a CRM to track all my contacts and interactions. It is pretty neat that I am able to open up a contact in expanded view and view a list of interactions I had with this contact. However, I had to manually click into each individual interaction to view the information I needed. The entity-relationship is as follows: Each Contact may have multiple Interaction Each Interaction has 4 key fields namely Date, Method, Notes, Next Steps My objective was to put all my interactions for each contact into a single column for quick viewing. To set this up, I did the following steps: In the Interactions table, create a new column named “Interaction Summary” with ‘Formula’ as the column type. Just inherited a photo business and with all the craziness and my day job, haven’t got much time to build a much needed system out, so looking for someone that can help with the following project System contains interconnected tables for: photos inventory of different sizes stores where they are sold (with different terms / some multi-location companies) inventory in each store contact list for store owners / workers & individuals orders from each store orders from individuals print queue to produce photos It’s relative ‘simple’ but time I don’t have… Essentially the business prints photos that are sold in local stores, also (very limited number of photos are) ordered through a website. If you’re like me, you like to catalog things. Like, perhaps, your movies. And you’re going to want to sort them by title. Which is no big deal… until you get to all of those movies that start with “The.” You don’t really want all of them in a lump in the T section, right? You’ve gotten spoiled by programs like iTunes that somehow ignore the word “The” when sorting. Thanks to Airtable’s formula columns and string-handling capabilities, you can achieve the same effect. Let’s say you’re storing your movie titles in the Name column. All you need to do is: Look at the first four characters of the title. If the first four characters are "The " - chop them off, then add “, The” to the end of the title. Otherwise, just return the title as is. This function: IF(LEFT(Name, 4) = "The ", RIGHT(Name, LEN(Name) - 4) & “, The”, Name) does just that. Sort on this column, and you’re all set. Hide the column if you don’t feel l

I believe that I have a somewhat unique use case scenario. I have successfully migrated one key piece of my operation from spreadsheets into AirTable, and need to solve a couple of additional issues before this AirTable-based approach achieves “minimum viable function” status. I think that these missing pieces are feasible, but I lack the expertise to structure a clean solution. For anyone more knowledgable than myself with Airtable I would hope this is considered a quick project. I’m on a time crunch so while I absolutely would love to learn Airtable I’d like to get this done within a matter of hours. I have a grading rubric of 20 students. There are 20 rubric elements each that can be scored 1-5 totaling 100 points. I would like to put the students in a drop down menu so that when selected the scores of that particular student display under neath the drop down menu and also add the scores up. Any ideas? Thanks!
