I have 3 tables - Gift Hamper, Products, BOM Gift hamper - has list of gift hamper ids/namesProducts - have list of productsIn BOM we assign products & quantity to Gift Hamper (one gift hamper can have multiple products)While linking a product in BOM, I would like to see some values from Product columns (eg stock available). I would like to do this in grid format & not add each row individually using form. How do I do so?
Hey Hey, Would anyone happen to know if it's possible to embed a MathJax rendering into an airtable interface? The idea is that the rendered displays the text of math expressions or equations when that text is wrapped in $$ $$.
Thanks in advance everyone - Tried searching but couldn't find anything recent/relevant Currently we are using email automations to conditionally send first articles to our customers to approve, which works - but I'd like a more elegant solution. In an ideal situation, once a record matches certain conditions, it sends a form (interface or other) pulling the image from our base, and the customer can use a check box / comment section to send approval back to us - and updates our records with the checkbox selected and or comments sent. Thanks again - If I missed anything in my search, another advanced thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
Hi all,The Utilization function is pretty great for visualising workloads and capacity, but when adding in the 'Time Off' part of the tool, I'm struggling to get exactly what I'd like.My Capacity planner is a timeline view of tasks grouped by team with all team members' capacity rolled up to the team level. This is great as I can see an entire Team's capacity when adding in new jobs. However when I assign time off into the 'Account for time off' section it just blocks out the entire team as PTO for those dates on the planner. I don't think it can just subtract member X's time off from the total team capacity. Does the Account for time off functionality only really work when you are viewing capacity at the Team member level?Any ideas much appreciated!
Hi there,My company has several different interfaces that have more or less the same table in them, just filtered by a different project name. In the past, users (editors on the interface but no database access) have been able to duplicate these records without problem. It seems like there has been a change with how Airtable now handles filters, access, and record duplication. Now, when the user duplicates the record, they get a permission error that tells them that they don't have access to that record. If a user with database permissions (e.g., db creator) duplicates it, there is no problem. It's almost like the filter is being applied before the duplication is complete.A couple other observations: this only happens if the field used for filtering is not included in the table itself. Again, historically this has not been an issue, and it has duplicated without problems. If I add the field not to the table but just as a grouping value, this also mitigates the problem.Has anyone else en
This would be really useful for transparency when dealing with large lists / dashboardsSimply pop up a list of what records are being counted.
Hi! I'm not sure which location to post this in but hopefully someone can help out. I have an interface form which will be collecting question answers prior to a client call. During the call we then want to be able to access and comment on each answer individually as we get clarification from the client. We can obviously have a "notes" column but that would be for the whole record, whereas we need a notes section for each answer (so for each column in the table basically, and it would be incredibly clunky if there was one notes column added after each question column). We then want another 1 or 2 interfaces or tables (or whatever) which again pull in question answers plus our clarifying notes to put next to some other info on post-call actions.I'm new to interfaces for anything other than form creation, so I tried creating one from scratch which had a record selector at the top then all the answers down the left hand side, then I added a "text" element next to each - not realising that
My team's work involves tracking and acting on various publication editorial calendars. For example, if a publication is covering [topic x] in January, we like to be able to see that in a spreadsheet and act on it. Currently we collect hundreds of these kits and enter them into Google Sheets separated by month tabs for a full year for each publication. My question is whether an Airtable interface or forms could be set up to make that entry a little easier? Plus maybe make for a more pleasant viewing / sorting experience? I don't have much experience with Airtable interfaces and I couldn't find a similar solution when I searched around.Essential elements: -Ability to enter editorial calendars which include month and associated topic, deadlines associated with each month, and publication name. Ideally also the ability to link publications with specific clients to indicate relevance. Additionally ideal to import editor and other relevant contact info and link it to the publication.-Abilit
Hi awesome Airtable users, Recenlty came across an issue where existing button fields in Interface designer (legacy one) stopped recognizing existing automations in the Automations list. Doesn't recognize any. It was working fine until today morning. Has any come across the same issue?
I'm really hoping this can be accomplished without needing to create yet another formula field, so I'll give details below and see where I get. 🙂I have fields for start and end dates and then a formula that calculates the duration between them, including when the end date is blank and then it just keeps counting from the start. I want to have a chart show this data on an interface, but I don't want every single value showing uniquely on the chart if possible.Instead, I'd like to have it group them into buckets for things like 0-30 Days, 31-90 days, 90+ days, but I can't see any way to do that intelligently within the interface. My fear is that I'm going to need a formula field that gathers this at the table level and then point the pie chart to that field instead of the duration field.Anyone have a suggestion for the best way to accomplish this kind of reporting? Thanks!
Earlier today, I deleted some value options from one of my single-select fields (Team Type) in one of my tables - I did not do anything else like delete the field, change its type, or change any field permissions. Now in the Interface builder, a Grid element linked to that table is grayed out with the error message "Field "Team Type" was changed and can no longer be selected". I have hidden and unhidden Team Type from the grid Fields list, and gone into Edit it and then Saved it without making further changes, but nothing I've tried is working. I made this change a while ago, so it is impossible to go back and literally undo the actual option deletion action I did, and the change is necessary for our data so I don't want to return the data to its previous state anyway. Does anyone know what is happening here and how I can restore my grid? Thank you for anything you can offer!
Hey there, I have a automation setup in a client database that is triggered by me changing the status and then sending a calculation to a customer with a link to a reference check interface form, because there are so many people who need their references checked with this form we need to put in the name of the candidate and the reference prefilled in the form. (due to privacy issues we cant have them searching up their name btw)I created a claculation that has the form link and then the url prefilled instructions for the names for the ref and candidate. It brings up the candidate most of the time but the reference not really, Im not sure if its because the reference is in a different table but Ive used the 'prefill_Reference%20Name=Reference Name' and ' prefill_Reference%20Name=Reference RECORD ID' (In the appropriate code ofc) and it works some of the time. I find that when I clear cookies in my browsers it works but I was wondering what the real issue is because I need the Names
Hi Friends! Can someone please help me with this? I manage a small team of 3 members. Let's say I have 3 tables: 1. Projects, 2.Tasks and 3.Subtasks (linked with one another). So I have an interface where each user can see everyday the projects, tasks and subtasks asigned or due for that certain day.I want a way to track productivity, or what have been done each day by each user, in someway that is simple and ideally automated.Do any of you have any idea of the structure I must follow to accomplish this? Thanks in advance
I have created an interface in Airtable. I want to disable the inline edit option and enable the add/delete record inline. Are there any possibilities to do this?I must enable inline edit records when a table value field is "Yes". Otherwise, it should be disabled. But I found that is not possible. Then When expanding the record from the interface edit form appears on the right side, hiding/showing the visibility of some fields based on condition. But disabling edit inline records in interface settings Add/delete inline option is automatically disabled. Please suggest any possibilities.Need an option to enable add/delete inline option and disable edit inline records.https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/29750457?key=fcf1499acd92927ea57120ba17a70835
Hi! I have a problem with Interface Designer for 2 days. When I'm clicking "Field summary" In Charts Settings, nothing happens. Please see the loom: https://www.loom.com/share/3ed6c002e63b47fab76500a9264801ca?sid=b3e773c1-29b7-4398-b5da-4d0e2ce4acb9. It is applicable to all my charts in many different interfaces.
Longtime Airtable user, but limited experience with Interfaces. My regular workflow has three browser windows open at once:Window 1: Shows the fields of one record from Table AWindow 2: Shows a filtered view of the records in Table BWindow 3: Shows a filtered view of the records in Table CIs there a way to create a single interface to show these things?
I am building an interface to enter newly received seed inventory. The seed of the same variety of the same or different vendors can be received multiple times. So the variety field of the inventory form is a linked record to a sheet "variety". The person entering inventory must match the seed and the vendor in the linked record, but the form interface only shows the primary column "variety" not the vendor and there appears to be no option to show more fields of linked records like in other interface options.Additionally, if it is a new seed, or from a new vendor, I would like users to be able to enter a new variety via another form, when entering inventory records. But it doesn't appear that on the inventory form, I cannot add another form in it for a new variety. My solution for now will be to use a list view and have users click into records. But its not as clean
We have recently switched our 'job allocated' column to a user group column so users get notified when they are tagged, however we would like the appearance to remain the same (coloured). Is this possible? Please help. It is very bland and difficult to differentiate without colour.
Hi,I'm trying to embed a dashboard that lives outside Airtable in an interface. I would love to be able to do this, so I have everything within Airtable, and not spread in different links. Is there any way to embed an external webpage in —for example— a blank layout as a page in my Interface?
Hi,Is it possible to add a dynamic value or a formula in an airtable interface as given below? ThanksChandrika
When you’re using apps, you can click on a bar on a chart and it’ll pop up a window that shows all the records in that particular bar. How do I do this in interfaces? Am I missing a setting? Right now charts aren’t interactive at all.
Hi - I have this list view setup to allow for new records to be created in-line but for one level it seems to work and another it doesn't. I'm not sure why - screenshot is attached to explain. Very grateful for help
About My Project:I have a database that captures notes for multiple users with hierarchical categories. I want individual users to have the ability to view their notes (and not the notes of others) by these different hierarchies (which are category, sub-category, type, and tags).Information is ultimately consolidated into a table called “Sub Categories,” which includes all of the hierarchies. Each note is an individual record and the columns are: id, last modified time, category, subcategory, types, entries (this is the note itself), tags, user, and title. I want to create an interface that allows users to view their notes (and only their notes) broken out by day, category, sub-category, type, and tags. I created an interface with a gallery view (in hopes that it would look like the apple notes gallery view), and I want 4 dropdowns that allow a user to filter their notes by these different hierarchies.Problem: When I add a filter, I have to choose the option that I want to filter by. Th
Hi everybody,On my dashboard in Interfaces, I'd like to customize my bar chart this way (see attachments) :- all the days of the week are displayed on the X-axis and the '0' value is displayed if there are no outreach actions on that day- display a goal line- color-code the bars depending on the value range they fall into (red for 1-3, orange for 4-6, yellow for 7-9, green for 10 and above)- have a sorting option in the 'Order' drop-down menu that automatically sort the week days in a chronological order => no need to put a digit as a prefix in the Week Day nameI didn't manage to get those things. Do you know if there are workarounds for my specific needs? Thanks!
Hi Airtable Community,I have a question regarding building interfaces in Airtable, specifically about building custom click-into-record preset views. When setting up an interface, I can configure it so that clicking into a record displays detailed information in a customizable preset view. However, I’ve noticed that if I set up a different interface with some of the same information, there's no straightforward way to access the preset views from the other interface. For example, let's say I have two interfaces within the same base, both involving organizational data. If I set up a customizable preset view for records in one interface, I can't directly use that same view in the second interface unless I recreate it manually. This seems like a duplication of effort.I’m curious to understand the reasoning behind this. Is there a specific logic or benefit to not being able to share customizable preset views across different interfaces within the same base?I welcome thoughts and insights from
