This is a simple suggestion to add a menu item for the field header to quickly resize the field width to match the field name and allow the full name of the field to show in the header. This is what I mean:

Want to be able to quickly show and hide FILTERED fields in bulk rather than one-by-one.I follow specific discipline when naming my fields. It allows me to quickly filter fields by criteria.However, currently it is not possible to show or hide all filtered (searched) fields. It is possbible to show or hide fields in the database, but when the search filter is applied, the Show / Hide buttons dissapear.I suggest to keep the buttons there and allow me to quickly mark “all filtered fields” in the search filter and then allow me to press buttons Show or Hide to show or hide them quickly in bulk.It will mean saving a lot of time. Imagine when you have 200 fields and you need to show 20 of them so now you have to keep clicking and scrolling 20 times.Here is picture of what I mean:

This is a small styling suggestion to prettify the linked field pointing to a checkbox field in another table. The linked field has no styling option and all it shows is a tiny easy to overlook and boring grey check-mark. Could use some more style options similar to the actual checkbox field.

The rating field type does not allow a value of zero stars. Currently, I’m using a single-select type instead, as I do need that value to be available in some cases. Adding this possibility, for instance using a checkbox named something like “Allow zero rating”, would be welcome.

Here’s the real life problem I’m running into.We have an Airtable base to manage our marketing messages and marketing campaigns. Messages are linked to a campaign. Because our company has multiple brands, I want to limit the campaign record selection to those that have a matching brand to my message.Here’s my feature request:I would like to have the “Limit record selection to a view” to allow conditions based on the record I’m linking from and linking to. For example, If the {Brand} field in the Messages table equals {Brand} field in Campaigns table, show those records.This would allow different records to be available for selection based on the record it’s being linked to.What do you guys think?How do these ideas turn into reality?

When writitng code at Script step window, there are many redundant space in “Output” field, but the Code window is very narrow. Even usual let query = await TABLE.selectRecordsAsync({fields:FIELDS}); doesn’t fit at 100% zoom, so if feels less comformatble. Of course, there are different display devices and different needs, so the posibility to adjust width would be better

Airtable team: Please provide an option to DISABLE the public access to the DESCRIPTION of the VIEW for public shared links to views.This is a security issue. I didn’t notice this was publicly exposed. I had confidential notes in the description and didn’t know this was all exposed.At least there should be a way to disable that. There is a small “i” icon that many people who receive the shared view don’t even notice. I didn’t notice that either. While I see the benefit of having it there, we need an option to disable that.Now I have to remove the decription from there and leave it blank but that defeats the purpose because it was description for me.See picture of what I mean:… Here would be a perfect spot for a the switch to disable it if needed:

Hi there, really loving Airtable but seems like the Chart Block is a little under powered…Minimally it seems like integrating basic statistical plots like histograms, box plots, and violin plots, could be really helpful for creating useful dashboards.Additionally some useful things like radar plots and maybe even contour plots would be great to see added.I know this isn’t a dataviz platform by design, but then again it kind of is so making charting/plotting a bit more of a first class citizen would be cool to see.

I hope we can customize this layout similar to coda.io when you open the row record.

It would be very helpful to have the ability to customize the Record view to move fields around, create fields next to each other and create sections. Drag and Drop would be ideal.

Hi!I’ve using airtable at my job for over two year now, and it is a great database tool! Moreover, it’s great to watch it grow and add new features.I suggest adding an automation action that allows updating a multiple select field on a record by appending it. Today, the automation update action will overwrite the field, not add to it.

This would be a very helpful feature for me. I use the page designer app quite a lot, and setting up multi-page templates in one base has been quite time consuming. I now need to move at least two of these to another base, to save having to download the pdfs, upload them to an attachment field, and then sync this filed to the other base. I’d rather not have to do this, or to re-create the page designer templates again in the new base.

It would be great if rich text formatting was available in the forms help text. I would be easier to emphasis important points about completing the form properly.

I understand how to copy a view configuration to another view. I would like to be able to do the same between two separate tables. This is the situation where I found the limitation, and although there is a workaround I am trying to do this without duplicating data or efforts on separate tables within the base. I have a Project Management Database in which the first table is a list of “Projects” with a drop down list to assign one of 9 colors to each project. In the view configuration for that base I “color the records the same as” the color field. In the same database I have a table with a list of “Tasks” in which I have a field which links “Projects” and a lookup table to show the color for each project. In the view configuration for that base “Records are assigned the first color

Frequently I need to post an Airtable view link AS my referral link. The audience I’m creating them for wants both. But posting the two links confuses them, because the referral link doesn’t take them to the view and the view doesn’t create the referral. I end up irritating and confusing my target audience instead of them getting excited about Airtable. Them they don’t want Airtable links anymore. Not to mention me having less motive to share Airtable with more people, since my referral link is effectively worthless. Please help me fix this problem.

The description field is rather narrow, results in a long column of text that is cut of at the end of the screen for me. I wish the size of the description field could be set, at least wider than it is now. The default value could be in pixels as it is now, and I would override it e.g. as percentage of available screen. Here is what I mean:

For example, when a record triggered sending an email, it would be great if that would show up in the audit log so that I don’t need to CC myself or need to dig into the run automations log to confirm.

My use case is being able to filter by a checkbox where I sometimes want to see both checked and unchecked records and other times just one or the other. If I had an “or”, I could have two filters for the checkbox and check one filter and not the other so all would display.

This can be done in interfaces so why not in the Bases?

Filter Show/Hide Fields by Field TypeThe ability to filter the fields displayed in the Show/Hide vertical menu from the features bar on a Table.This would work in conjunction with the search functionality.This is handy when a Table has many fields and specific searching for specific field types.Conceptually this could be a dropdown list of multiselect field types OR a box below the search bar that has the different field type icons to select.Example: Filter only for Fields Types = Formula

It’d be great if you could print the views of blocks. When you hit print now, it just prints the view of the main table/grid you’re in, not the full screen block you’re currently viewing. This would be a very useful addition!

Hello,While I love the recent features for managing views, having the “favorite” view selector under the view icon is frustrating.It is just my habit of hand-eye coordination and muscle memory, but when I move my cursor to select a view, I usually move it to the view icon. The subsequent update to the view list with the addition to the “My favorites” sub-folder in the “My views” section is jarring and the process always leaves me feeling like I have been duped into marking the view as a favorite.Would be great if the favorites selector/indicator were either to the left of the view’s icon, or in the optional menu.Thanks for the consideration.

Hi,I think it’s a good idea to update selectRecordsAsync() examples in API reference, in Table and View topics, with passing “options.fields”. Usually I’m trying to avoid deprecated usage (without fields), but sometimes forget correct options format. Since API reference contains deprecated example, I often needs additional efforts (to look into some earlier written code).

Hi, I am currently having a table with multiple columns that have same or similar values. It would be nice if you could refer all the columns with a single variable like “COLUMNS” to use in the formula field. That way if I add more columns, I will not have to rely on me or someone else to update the formula with details of the new column. You guys rock btw!
