I'm making a new base for personal use.  I want all the tables in the base to have the same cells.  I created the first table and copied it per instructions in the help function.  I created several new tables by pasting the copied material.  Then i realized i needed to change something, so i deleted the new tables, went back and made the change, copied again, and created new tables, but now it will only past the first column.  When i copy it says "copied 30 records", but when i paste, it only pastes 15 (the first column) even though I'm selecting the whole thing (and yes i'm telling it to expand).  What did i do that made it not copy and paste correctly any more?

I'm using the YouTube API to scrape video data via the script extension and populate the Airtable. This all works fine until I try and take the "embedCode" parameter for a video to store in the table. Other HTML works fine, but as soon as the `<iframe>` tag is entered, the table throws and error and wants me to refresh it. Hi, for the first time in my approx. 2 years of using Airtable, I’m finding I am missing records. This has only happened in the past few weeks and it seems tied to something I’m doing, but I can’t figure out if I’m taking an action that is causing it. I will outline step-by-step what I experienced. I have a database of ideas and each is tagged to a particular topic. A colleague and I are working with those ideas, so I needed to copy them from the database and paste them in another program. I created a filtered view for that topic and selected all the records in one column and using cmd+C copied the records, no problem. Later that day, I click on my filtered view only to find that there are no records. I check main view and it seems my records are no longer there - I used my copy to search for a few of them, finding the are completely missing from the database. There is no record of them being deleted in the trash and the undo button does not restore them. There was no pop up warning w

How a collaborator can view only their records

Our team is looking to print records in a 3 page format (could be more in the future). When I first realized that I could set a custom paper size, I set it to the px conversion for 8.5" x3 (2778 px). After ALOT of trial & error I realized that the actual size of the grid was less & so the conversion for 8.5" x3 in landscape had to be 2448 px. I have the margins set at “0” currently. This has worked somewhat, but since there are no visible page break guides, I’ve had to sort of create them by adding free text boxes that serve as headers & footers on each page. I’ve spaced out the distance between top edge & bottom edge of the grid & between each header & footer as best I could, literally, by moving things down 1 space at a time & reviewing in a print preview window. There are 2 challenges I’m having… For some reason there is a lot of extra margin being added at the bottom of the 3rd page. It doesn’t appear that way on screen, but when saving as a PDF, yo

Context:I have three tables. Customers, subscriptions, and orders. A customer can have multiple subscriptions, and a subscription can have multiple orders. Every time a customer fills out the order form, it is created in the order table. So a 1-month subscription will have 12 orders for the year. I have columns in my subscription table that track the expiry date and formulate the days remaining for the subscription. This way, I can automate email reminders as the subscription is set to expire. What I'm trying to automate: When I complete an order. I want to automatically update the expiry date for the subscription. This is my thought process thus far. Scenario 1: The subscription has already expired. The customer orders a 3-month subscription. I activate the subscription and mark the checkbox complete on the table. The detail table contains that name as well (Solvent black 27) - but additional details, like e.g. color index.How can I enrich the data in the main-table with further details of the detail-table.I tried to do a lookup, of course, but the I dont find a way how I can ensure, that the lookup field always has the same name as the name of the main-table.To make it more understandable: In SQL I would be a "clasical" join.Thank you for your support

We are using Airtable to inventory and create our perfume formulas. We have one Base for the Working Formulas. We would like to create a table that automatically creates a record whenever a new table is created in the base. This way we will be able to track its progress, etc. Is that doable or should we just create the records manually?

Have resorted to publishing here as I have gone around in circles trying to contact Airtable support. They are attempting to bill me for credits to my account as a result of accidentally selecting an annual plan, then downgrading to a monthly. I followed instructions to navigate to Home, then click Help > Message Support. This opens a chat bot, where every time I ask to speak with support it tells me to click Help > Message Support. Which takes me back to the chat bot.When I follow instructions as guided through by the chat bot about stopping the transaction attempts, it gives me a link to 'Contact Support Here'. Which opens the homepage, and I'm back to where I started. As Airtable have depracated email support, I was left to publish here in hopes someone at Airtable might see it. And also to flag this issue with contacting support. Has overall been a very frustrating process.

Hello....when opening up the thumbnail and going in to edit/rotate the photo, as I was hovering waiting for the three vertical dots to appear I think I accidentally clicked an option that hides that icon and the little circl above it that usually appear in the upper left of the photo if you hover over it.  Now I don't know how to unhide them and get them back so I can use them again.  Help!

I’ll do my best to explain what the goal is below, but please let me know if it is unclear. What I am hoping for help with is: We have several different project types, each that involves its own set of tasks. Is there a way for me to add to the above code so that I can pick a specific set of tasks in the Task Template table, based on an identifier? Hi everyone!As far as I can tell the max value for zooming out scale in a GANTT is 5 years. To me it would be valuable to zoom out way further, 20-50-100 years. This is useful when you register people (birthyear-deathyear). Views often have a few centuries span. Is it possible to accomplish this at the moment?Regards,André

I have an airtable view embedded on my site. When I click on Filter-> Add Condition, the webpage jumps down the page a couple hundred pixels, which makes for a terrible user experience - the user can't even see the filter box anymore and has to scroll back up and reclick in it to add a filter. You can reproduce this on our site and see for yourself: https://www.highimpactprofessionals.org/talent-directoryAnything we are doing wrong here? I am using the Gantt view. I have 50 tasks. Every 10 tasks has a milestone.  And each set of tasks is marked as dependencies for each milestone they come under. I would like the milestone dates to be updated automatically when the end dates for one of the 10 tasks change. i.e the task with the furthermost date should be the end date of the milestone. How would I do this ?Thank you !

I’m having trouble getting started. I need to link a Google sheet to Airtable. When I select Sheets from the dropdown I get a popup that tells me to sign in to Google. When I click “sign in” it looks like another popup loads and immediately closes then I get a 400 error and it tells me the request is malformed. I have popups and cookies enabled. I’m logged into Google.

Hi there! I've been searching across the Airtable (AT) community for answers, and none so far.I am trying to create a production schedule that has multiple dependencies across time. I followed the template that AT provided. I also included a new formula (found through the AT community) so that the End date is calculated by using the Start Dates and duration (Days it takes) for each task while excluding weekends. IF Formula below:IF(AND({Start Date},{Days it takes}),WORKDAY({Start Date},{Days it takes}), {Start Date}) The Main Problem: When I go into Gantt view, I am not able to click and drag on a task box to move the start and end date.This shows up as one of the things mentioned that should be available in the Gantt View. Hello!I'm hoping you guys can help. I'm a total newb with formulas.I'm trying to build a animal shelter manager and usually we don't have the exact date of birth. Just an approximate age (ie, 2 years, 5 months, 4 days, etc.). Is there a formula that can calculate an approximate date from those numbers?I've looked everywhere and tried a million different formulas.

I have a form within a table. This form has a field that's a link to record type - City. When I view this field +Add City, it shows me the City and the State so I know the context. This works within the Airtable app only.  If I share this form and then want to +Add City, it doesn't show me the City and State so the context is lost. I have two cities with the same name but I don't know which state so I can't pick the right one.How do I see the same pop-up modal with City AND State view that I see when I am in the Airtable app? I am just choosing the City and the state is auto filled but the user needs to see the State so they know which City to Add.

Hello,I'm looking for a way to hide records that have a certain single-select status.For example, I have some statuses like 'Pre-Production, Production, Published, Archvied' and I want to create a view where all records with the status of 'Archived' are hidden but I can't seem a way to do that. I can only show records from a certain status but I would like the reverse - hide records with status while showing others.Possible? Thanks

Hi there, I have a conundrum that I hope someone can please help me with! It’s all about the final “/” Basically I want to extract the last part of a file path + filename string, to leave only the filename. The path and name can all be different lengths, and have different folder depths. The key is to take everything AFTER the final “/” Examples below… /Volumes/my_drive/documents/pictures/A001.jpeg /mnt/usb/pictures/123456.tiff /Server/over_there/no_really/this_one/what a long path/Big File.mov would parse… A001.jpeg 123456.tiff Big File.mov Any ideas please, fantastic Airtable community? Here’s how Airtable is sorting my text col: 2XY 11A This logic seems to be unique to Airtable: 11 is after 2 (not 1 is before 2, as expected). This causes problems trying to match a sorted list in Airtable with the same list sorted in another program. Is this a bug, intended behavior that can be worked around, or something else? Thanks!
