Hello community! Question 🙂 :Is it possible to take values from one table and use those values as field titles in another table.For example: Table1 has a list of first names and I would like to use those first names as separate field titles in Table2Makes sense?Hope someone can help me out! Hello, I am having trouble with numbers coming from a .CSV. Currently I have the field set as a Decimal (1.0). The data in the CSV looks like: The data when uploaded looks like: I’ve tried changing formats, but I need it to remain a number format so that I can pull averages. Thank you, Lindsay

I am trying to prefill a check list with the check boxes into a long text field, i.e. make prefill links for different maintenance reports as required. I am trying to use a formula to generate this result. Here is the code “?prefill_Notes=[+]+Test\n[+]+Test2” This is the output: It is not showing the second paragraph / line The check box is not in its checkable form but rather its underlying raw text form. I have then tried to prefill from a field already containing the correct structure of the check list and this solves issue 1. with the missing paragraph / new line spacing. “?prefill_Notes=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT({Details / Task Breakdown}) But as you can see, Issue 2 still persists the check boxes are not immediately usable. Any way of doing this? Thanks

Hello, I'm new to Airtable and already very impressed. My question:One thing that Databases, PowerBI or Tableau have is RLS (row level security). I read this article https://support.airtable.com/docs/permissions-overview but it was more about the capabilities of different roles. What I want is sth different:In short, let's say I have a column USERNAME in my table. I share my table with a collaborator called Julia. Julia can only see the rows where the column equals to USERNAME is "Julia". It's basically like a filter but the the collaborator cannot unfilter it. Julia would have only viewing / editing access to the above mentioned rows.RLS are handy as they can scale. In our case, I might have 20 collaborators in the end. All collaborators should only be able to see their "own" rows.Thank you so much BR!

Hey All,I'm not sure if there is something similar on here anywhere, but I thought I'd ask.So the base(s) are pretty complex at this point, however here it goes.We have different levels of tracking.High level tracking of Clients. This tab(le) stores client data that goes through various states and tracks them.  They may never go into training, but it stores other high level data.Once a client has paid/agreed, etc for training they move from #1 tab into this tab: this table tracks unique training, so company ABC from #1, could have ABC-110123, and ABC-011723 (start date of training as unique ID). This also stores lookup data from the next one as far as ALL the trainingThis table is the actual training "calendar" so all the training dates with the respective courses, date & time, etc are store here. We also track the #of attendees that are invited as well as who actually shows up.All of this data is used to track the amount of training, specific people who attend, etc. The bigge

If I select multiple fields (columns) and cmd-click one of them, it narrows the selection to that one field. If I select multiple fields and go to the dropdown for one, it narrows the selection to that one field. How do I delete multiple fields at once rather than having to go through them one by one? This seems like incredibly basic spreadsheet functionality and I’m puzzled that I can’t find it.

Why are my bases unavailable - its been a few hours now.  

It is not possible to prevent base collaborators from viewing certain fields (columns) within a table or base. To get around this problem, the only recommended solution I have seen in this community is third-party tools, also referred to as external tools or portal tools.Examples of these recommended tools are Noloco.io, MiniExtensions.com, GlideApps.com, Softr.io, Pory.io, and StackerHQ.com.But rather than using a third-party tool, what if we created a “mirror base” within AirTable, and established a different set of collaborators for the mirror base?The mirror base would be a duplicate of the original base, but with several additional fields added. The mirror would update in real time whenever the original base is updated. The two bases would always be exact copies of each other, except that the mirror would have several additional fields.Could this work?

Hello All, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.We needed to connect a team member to our base and sent an invite directly to their email. After some time, their invite still appeared as pending. After confirming with them that they have connected to the base we kept checking the base and eventually they appeared as connected and for about a week and a half prior. This caused some confusion in our team. I have been using the MAC app, is this a bug or is there something I can do to prevent this in the future?Thank You. 

Hi. I have a base with a Table "Projects" with a multiline text field where I add simple updates on the progress on that proiect. These updates are generally brief but vary in length. There will be a lot of them over time.I have that field linked back into the table, where I would like to only show the most recent update, is there any way to acheive this please. Can you format that linked field to display the primary field only to a specific character as a thought?In the longer term I'd like to find a more elegant solution overall as appreciate this is basic but having something in place for the short term was my thinking.RgdsRobgriff

We have been using Airtable as our internal database and have built some simple scripting extensions to update data from our backend. Every row has an Update button and clicking on it runs the scripting extension showing a dialog box which somewhat creates a bad experience when editing multiple records quickly.Would love a feature to set the extension to run in background or to show a small toast showing whether the run was successful or not, rather than showing the entire dialog box again and again.

I’m trying to use a Rollup to create a numbered list of linked records that reflects the order in which they’re linked within a field. I’ve tried a couple different array options but can’t crack the numbering part.

Hello,I am using page designer to create some forms for my business.  Currently I am taking an image that is embedded in Airtable and putting that as the background to complete the form.  The issue is with airtable moving to all expiring url's I have to adjust this daily which is not practical.  From what I have seen I can do it through google drive.  How can I take an image from Google Drive and use it in Page Designer to avoid my links expiring? Thanks,Zak

I want to use the Formstack app, but I’m getting this error when I hit the “Create document” button: Similarly, in Formstack, the Merge History shows: I’m signed in to both applications and am not having any other problems in either of them, but something about the integration is obviously not right. I haven’t seen this problem discussed in other posts - has anyone else seen this behavior? Not sure what to try!

HiWhen using the HR base for recruitment purposes, can only set only certain people in the organization to see specific aspects (permission levels) i.e. someone you have recruited and is now internal you would not want seeing who applied for their position; people in mid-level positions, you would not want them to see senior-level positions.  Can you only allow certain people to see certain positions e.g. for shortlisting purposes?Thanks    

Hey Airtable communityWe're a 100% volunteer non profit organization, using Airtable to handle events where we match street artists with underserved communities and local organizers. That means dealing with a lot of images and we're maxing out the 20GB in our Pro plan. With inspiration from John Siciliano's post where he build an image compressor with TinyPng for a single image, I wanted to extend it a bit. A friend tried to add:multi-image iteration,renaming,image resizingmove PDF's to a different cell in the recordand got something put together on top of John's script. However, when it runs, it keeps looping through logs "compress null" and "TinyPNG API failed with status code: 400 and message: Bad Request"He's a bit excessive with his let-variables, but I don't see that being the cause. Hello! I'm creating a check-in form for attendees at events. The goal is to only make one form that links back to an event grid. As events are added to the event grid, they will populate as options to select in the check-in form. Is there anyway to make sure that attendees cannot click past-dated events when using the form? I'm using a base to track my time on projects/tasks. I use these times to create estimates for clients and to create invoices. It's great to have the built in time tracking in Airtable, but I've made the mistake many times of walking away from my computer or switching tasks only to realize later that the timer is still running.Does anyone have a good solution / workaround for this?I can think of two things that would help this:1. Idle alerts. Most of the time tracking software I've used will alert me if I don't do anything for a specified period of time. If I forgot to stop the timer at the end of the day, the next morning, I get an alert that I've been idle for x hrs and a prompt to keep tracking, stop the timer now, or set the end time of the timer to when the idle period began. Currently, this is particularly tough in Airtable since the Tracker doesn't make distinctions between timed sessions. I need some help using an IF statement within a CONCATENATE formula. I have tried many permutations but have just not found the right syntax. I have the following fields: AirtableID CompanyName Project Sub-Project Person In the Name field of a table, I want to concatenate these fields as such: If Sub-Project is not NULL, then Name = AirtableID_CompanyName_Sub-Project_Person Else (Sub-Project is NULL), then Name = AirtableID_CompanyName_Project_Person Here is as far as I got, and I know the syntax is not right: CONCATENATE({AirtableID},’’,{CompanyName},’’,IF({Sub-Project} = 0,{Project},{Sub-Project}),’_’,{Person}) Thanks!

I have a table with a linked record.  I am grouping by the link record, however the show group with no record toggle that shows up for single select is not there.Is there a way to show all groups even without records?

We put orders daily into PROJECT TRACKER.    We have reached our "limits".    Many old orders are not needed anymore.    I can go back and delete items one at a time, but it would save time to search a keyword (bench) and delete all the items with that word or just highlight all the items and delete those.

Hey friends, family, and everythign in between,So, I have a table embedded into a landing page, and like, overall, I am pretty happy with it! That being said, there is usually a footer in an embedded table that says "view larger table" in the bottom right hand corner of said table. For whatever reason, mine doesn't show up. As a workaround, I have implemented a button that brings you to the airtable website view of it, but would like that little footer back in case people need it, or to at least have an option for such both above and below the table. Any thoughts or insights as to why it might not be showing up? Let me know!

Does anyone know how to lock this feature of “view larger version” from embed on bottom row?
