I am trying to create a weekly sales report that shows the last 3 weeks of trailing performance data for 8 different metrics. I want to be able to email a 1-page PDF file.
Does anyone know how to export a chart in blocks? Is it possible yet?
Hello,In my form, I would like a dropdown to show a list depending on which answer was chosen previously. It is for a sports form, so I can explain better:Question 1: What kind of training? Answers: Gym, Track, Field.Question 2: What session? If Gym on 1, possible answers: Max strength, Endurance strength. If Track on 2, possible answers: Intervals, Series.I don't want three different fields for two, but I don't see how to do it otherwise.Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Hi! I have the following set up: Column A: Name Column B: Text Column C: URL I would like to combine these into a new column to read like so: “Text (with hyperlink) - Name” I should note that the URL is to an external page, and not an internal reference to another base / table / etc. Any idea how to help with this? Thanks!
Our clients fill out two separate Airtable forms, one after the other. I'd like the questions on Form #2 to be filtered according to their responses in Form #1.As far as I can see, the only filtered conditions you can set are based on answers in the CURRENT form.Has anyone found a workaround for this? Thank you!
Howdy everyone! Is anyone else having issues with embedding code blocks on the new forum?Markdown went away 😓 so I used the regular code block from the tool bar, but still there are some funky errors showing up...If I add just the block by itself - there is no errors in the preview, but as soon I add text above it - it starts showing errors.Maybe Airtable agrees that good code is self-explanatory and does not require comments? 😂
I’m quite new to Airtable and have been reading everything I can find (the oficial videos, the reference guide, several blog posts etc). But still can’t seem to get my head around this. Any help would be much appreciated. This is my simplified current setup: Table 1 - Events Field 1: EVENT NAME [text] Field 2: CATEGORY [single select dropdown] Table 2 - Category Rules Field 1: SEARCH STRING [text] Filed 2: CATEGORY I’m importing data from another source into Table 1 and want to be able to auto categorize the Events. So basically, if the value of EVENT NAME matches the SEARCH STRING on Table 2, the category field would be auto-selected with the correct category. Is this possible with Airtable? It would be super helpful if anyone could point me in the right direction. I really have no idea how to tackle this. Thank you!
Is there a way to display multiple lines of text for a single field in a Kanban card (similar to ‘row height’ in grid view)? I’m evaluating Airtable for task tracking, but right now Kanban is not usable to me because I can’t read more than three or so words before the text is chopped off.
I have the following code in a Google Scripts: var data = { "records": [ { "fields": { "Contract Address": "test", "0x8df3aad3a84da6b69a4da8aec3ea40d9091b2ac4": "1234" } } ] }; var options = { "method" : "post", "payload" : data }; function tryAPost(){ var url = "https://api.airtable.com/v0/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/Balance%20Tracking?api_key=keyxxxxxxxxxx"; var response = UrlFetchApp.fetch(url, options); }; I get the following error: Exception: Request failed for https://api.airtable.com returned code 422. Truncated server response: {"error":{"type":"INVALID_REQUEST_UNKNOWN","message":"Invalid request: parameter validation failed. Check your request data."}} (use muteHttpExceptions option to examine full response) The authorization and URL work for a get request, and the data payload works in the body of post request in Postman. What am I doing wrong?
So it seems I may be dumb, but I was under the impression that how I'm using the attachment field is ok and I wouldn't be impacted by the changes but I'm now seeing all my attachments are broken. The way I have it configured is I scan a document into google drive then upload it to my airtable. These doc are not shared or used in automations. They simply live in my base where they are occasionally referenced when we have a billing dispute.

Hi there,Simplified explained, I have a newsletter. The email addresses and other user details are saved in Airtable. The content of the newsletter is generated with Airtable automations. I want to send a personalised email to the users asking them if they want to unsubscribe.Rather than them needing to reply me to me via email I would like to add a button to that email if when clicked would update their status in the Airtable record to "unsubscribed".Is this possible? Thanks, Jakob
Hi, I’m trying to set up a form for our baseball league to collect scores from games so we can then do additional data manipulation to calculate win/loss records, calculate total runs for and against etc. The first single select field that I’ve created is to capture the team’s age group. Based on that choice I then want to have a drop down that only shows the teams that are in that particular age group. We’re tracking information on 100+ teams, and I’d like to do this in a single form so we can give our volunteers a one place to go to do their entry regardless of the age of the team. I’m trying to figure out how to populate the second single select to remove the possibility of our volunteers entering a name manually and spelling it differently than we’re expecting or calling the team something different than how we have them in our records. (Think Cards instead of Cardinals)? As an example we could have: 9YO: Cardinals, Rockies, Giants, Mets, Dodgers 10YO: Cubs, White Sox, Giants, Mets
I run a photo studio that photographers rent out for the hour/day and I use Airtable to keep track of these bookings. I like to view bookings grouped by month so I can get a sense of how sales are doing each month. To do this currently, I have bookings sorted by “start date” which is a date field (eg. “01/02/18”). This places all bookings in newest to oldest order (9-1), but everything runs together and and I can get a sum total of monthly sales easily. To address this, I added text a field called “month” to each entry and manually type in the month (eg. “01 January”) when I log a booking. After that, I created a “group by” rule that groups everything by the month column. This worked ok for 2017, but now it’s 2018 and 2017’s January bookings are mixed with 2018’s. The obvious solution would be to add a text field with “year” (eg. “2017”, “2018”) and then group by month AND year. However, it seems dumb to me that I have to manually add month and year to my record when I’m already using
I have an Automation set up to append items to an existing Rich Text Field, in the format of a checkbox list. The append Automation works well, except it always leaves a line break above the appended item, making a blank line in my list. The Rich Text Field looks like this (after the append Automation is run): Existing Item Existing Item Newly-appended item Does anyone know why this is happening, or how to avoid it? Thank you!
Hi Airtable community, I am new to Airtable and have landed a major Interior Design project that I hope to use this resource to organize. There are a number of needs that I have that I believe are outside of my beginner level to set up properly. I’m hoping someone out there can help me. Another user @caroline_bolt posted about this very thing but I don’t see any advice from the community. Wondering if Caroline ever got it sorted?! This project is a 5,000 sq. ft. home so I need to track a lot. Rooms and what tasks need to be completed for each *Design Implementation: What phase, dimensions, etc. Purchasing: Supplier, Supplier quotes, Retail price, designer discount, sell price, production timelines, estimated delivery dates, etc. *Existing pieces: If we are refinishing / reupholstering. Tasks to be applied *so much more. *Tasks to be completed Any other interior design firms out there who are willing to share their base?? If not, anyone open to sharing a good starting point? I didn’t
I have created a PDF Form for ordering food, where a user can enter number of food items and then the form will calculate the total. Is there a way I can import the data from PDF Form into Air table, atleast the total cost? Thanks in advance.
I used to be able to add a new record on the interface of my Airtable, it used to show up at the bottom and look like this (this is an example of what it looks like in the backend of the database) but now when I look at my “Interface”/frontend it no longer gives me an “+ Add New Record” button, is this a recent Airtable change?

Hello guys, how do I validate that the hour is not repeated in the following record? it is for a meeting room reservation application.
I have a grid view that is sorted by date 1-9, meaning it sorts rows from closest date to furthest date. This grid view of mine also has rows which have no dates set (yet) and I’d like to keep those in there BUT, I want those rows to go at the bottom of the sorted list. Right now, the only way to put them at the bottom is to sort 9-1… but then that puts the latest dated rows at the top. Any way to put non-dated rows at the bottom, but keep the 1-9 sort?
Hi Everyone First post, relatively new to Airtable but getting in deep! I’m hoping you all can help and that Airtable is the right solution! I work for a company that makes artworks for artists and I’m hoping that Airtable can help organise what we do as it can get quite complex. What I’m looking for help on is the scheduling of multiple detailed projects. There are all these lovely views - Gantt, Timeline, Calendar - but it seems like you can only view one table in such a view. But what if you need to coordinate multiple projects together? Is that possible in Airtable? If it helps, the basic workflow is: set out a project timeline ie. durations > apply that to a timeframe ie. dates > look at those dates related to other project timeframes > move things around to avoid overloading, schedule more help for busy periods, etc. Hoping there’s a solution… Thanks Jon
Hi there! I was wondering if there is any way to create new records in a table that is synced? I use Airtable to keep track of projects that are happening in our theatre. Here’s how our workflow is built : our main base is called Operation (and it is the only one), in which we gather all the informations about our shows. Then different collaborators add new activities that are related to their department. One thing that is important to mention is that everyone is working in the same base and it is a mess, not to say a nightmare. When someone makes a mistake, it takes me some time to find what is going wrong to fix it. And so many views have been created that it is difficult to establish an effective work routine. So I thought about making changes and I came up with the following idea : create separate bases for each department, in which all the informations about the shows would be synched, and then each staff member would be autonomous by creating and managing the activities related t
Images are not being displayed in newly created tables. What can I do with that?
