I need to create a global pie chart for the percentages answered to each question. In the example: How often do you consider someone else’s Pain? Hello! My main table consists in several projects (Rows), each of these projects have a list of items with a common price (I am using another table with the price list per item). I need now to display two things, first I want the standard values to be SUM up on the project and shows me the “Total Contractual Value” according to the amount of standard items added. Second, I would like to add a variation price on top of each item on the price list, but this number should be related to the project, not the Item, the contractual value will never change but the grand total per project can. Hello Airtable Community :grinning: I am building a production management base to track production of ONE PRODUCT comprised of MANY parts. Ideally, we would like the creation of an order to trigger ALL ITEMS on the BOM to subtract parts needed from inventory at once. Is this possible? Could someone weigh in on the relationships and formulas to accomplish this? Order records are entered manually. This is a high-ticket item, and the sales process takes months, so, that part of things will remain manual. Is this possible? Can someone weigh in on the relationships and formulas needed? In reading through many of the questions submitted and only see a way to manage many products vs one, and don’t see any that I recognize as doing what I describe above. I am reasonably skilled at Airtable, however, not so good at understanding how to make more complex relationships work. Thanks in advance for your input. –gr

Hi, I am trying to create a simple automation for a ‘date completed’ field that takes todays date and inserts into the ‘date completed’ field when a certain status is selected. It seems that New Zealand will not work correctly for this whatsoever though. The first issue is that the local selection for date formatting is not correct at all and shows the date as M/D/Y rather than D/M/Y. The second issue I encounter is that the date is always actually a day behind. It seems to show the date in GMT rather than NZDT even when I have tried to set it to NZDT. TODAY() shows 10/17/2022 even though today it is 18/10/2022. Can anybody help?!

We have a pivot table to review a variety of reporting, but currently have 2 major issues: Months with no data are not being represented, making it look wholistic when in fact its not. IS there a setting im missing or a way to force empty months into the reporting? Column headers are getting squished making headers difficult to read. Is there a way to force same width for all columns? Or at very least to also take into account column headers as minimum width (not just the values)?

I’d like to use this previous example as a foundation for this question. What if the value being rolled up isn’t a number/date, but a status? We are an agency business who has a number of clients, each with their own product(s) that we are presenting to other organizations. We log our outreach to these organizations on one table, and each log entry contains a date, a status (Potential, Pending, Ongoing, On Hold, Lead, and Not Relevant), and some text on the action taken in that record. Right now I have no problem sorting the entries on that table so that they are grouped by Org, then bu product, and the logs are sorted by date so most recent is first. I would like to, however, be able to pull up (for example, on the table that lists all the organisations we pitch to, see at a glance the most recent activity related to that product, with a particular organisation… For example, Product A has ongoing conversations at 3 Organzations with multiple activity logs at each… For the sake of this

Hello all - I am struggling a little with filter condition groups. Basically I want to show records that match the following :slightly_smiling_face: Type is “Travel” Venue is A and Stage is 1 or Type is “Travel” Venue is B and Stage is 2 In other words - only ever show entries that are Type = Travel, then only show entries that are either (Venue = A and Stage = 1 OR Venue - B and Stage = 2) I don’t want to show entries that are Venue = A and Stage = 2 - and I don’t want to show entries that are Venue = B and Stage = 1 This always does my brain in! Any help appreciated - have tried several times!

Here’s the scenario: I have two tables I use for managing volunteer shifts: Roster Vollie Check In A number of people forget to complete the Vollie Check In and I have to chase them up every day. If it was a paid job there’d be the incentive of getting paid only when you complete your check in, but as it’s voluntary I’m left herding cats every day. What I want to do is either: Create a view that filters Vollies who haven’t completed their check in that then triggers a daily automation email reminder, or Skip the view altogether and create an automation that compares the respective Vollie field in each table for Today() and triggers the aforementioned automation. I haven’t been able to find anything to compare records in respective tables in the community forum. Thanks!

I’m not sure this is something that Airtable can do - but let me describe the idea: A customer fills a shopping basket full of items - so one field is “order contains” and it lists all the items contained. The items are in a separate, linked table, and have associated values in that table. I’d like to add up the values of each item so we know the value of the customer’s order. Each customer has a coupon which tells us how much they can spend. In a Best of all Possible Worlds scenario - that calculated value of the order would be compared to another value to determine if the customer overspent their allotted “coupon”. Is this doable? How?

I have seen that many people are requesting advanced permissions but haven’t seen my use-case if somebody could please confirm whether this is possible. I would like to know if you can allow user view/edit rights based on cell value. I’m very new to Airtable so perhaps there’s a good way of doing this without me thinking like I’m working in Excel! I’m struggling to import into tables/sheets that have a lookup field setup. I tried: import from Google Sheets import via copy paste download as csv > import via copy paste The “Account” is always disabled during mapping and has a tooltip “this field type is not supported” I found this similar sounding issue: Bulk upload interactions? Unfortunately I doesn’t specify the answer.

I would like to know if you can transport configuration and other application changes from one (source development) workspace to another (test, production etc) throughout production iterations (versions) without the need to build from the ground up in each workspace copy. Cheers Shaun

Hello! I have a question how to set up my inventory. I produce and sell chocolates, so I have Inventory of the single ingredients, Inventory of the produced chocolates and Inventory of packed chocolates. When I produce 1 mould of chocolates (40 pieces) I would need that the amount of different ingredients that is used to produce 1 mould is reduced from the inventory of single ingredients, and added to the inventory of produced chocolates. Lets say I have 1kg of sugar and 500g of cocoa beans (inventory of ingredients) & now I produce 1 mould (40 chocolates) and I need 50g of sugar and 10g of cocoa beans. in the “production table” I would select the kind of choclate I produce and the amount (1 mould) - is there any way that then the inventory of the ingredients is reduced by the exact amounts that I needed? Hey, I’ve been having a lot of trouble trying to get hold of someone from Airtable regarding the Enterprise plan. I’ve messaged in live chat, got a colleague to message and even gone on Twitter! Now when someone got back to me they were from support and not sales. All I’m after is a minimum price for Enterprise, we need to ensure all our users are managed in one portal and we have one bill and are seucre.

Does anyone have suggestions to go one route over another for setting up my base? Essentially in a table called SKUs I will be linking to another table or tables for each SKU component. Each of the fields in the screenshot below will be a linked record. My question is, should I link these fields each to the same table (like the image below) or create a separate table for each component/field type (ex. A table for supplier, pattern, colour, etc.)? There will be additional information specific to each field/Sku component included as well. Like price per square inch for a specific pattern or prices for inserts, etc. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help. My company manages projects and when a project has a formal issue, we create a Governance Ticket related to it in another Base (to ensure the underlying information is not visible to other users). This results in a series of Syncs between Bases. Projects sync to the Governance Base from a Projects Management Base Governance Tickets sync back to the Projects Management Base (showing a limited View of the issue’s details. What I can’t get to work is the update using automations of the RAG status field which lives on Projects tab on the Projects Management Base. The scenario is that a ticket is raised which moves a project to Red status, which is a field in the Governance Base. The sync occurs and shows that a ticket relating to a Project is in Red status and if the current Project is not in Red, the automation should change the linked Project record to Red status. Hello - I’m trying to set up an automation that runs whenever my editor inputs a note into a field. When I had the automation set to trigger when field is updated, I would get 7+ notifications as she typed her message. I adapted the trigger to be ‘when a record enters a view’ and the view only shows records with notes in the notes field, and a formula I added: IF({MINS SINCE UPDATE} > 5, “Automate”, “Wait”) To only show records that say ‘Automate’ to give her 5 min to type her message. However, this now sends a notification any time any record with notes is modified in any way. My question is: Is there a way to have the minutes since update formula only watch my notes field?

I have a spreadsheet that lists email addresses along with two pieces of data each in one column. Some email addresses have one row, some have 3, some have up to 60. What I’d like to do is sent one email to each email address and include the other two rows of data whether it be 1 or 60 in the email. Anybody have any good suggestions for accomplishing this?
