I have a field that contains either a single date, or a list of dates separated by comma. 2022-08-21 2023-05-01, 2023-06-01 I want to create two formulas: One that extracts the first date and compare it to another One that extracts the second date and compare it to another To do so, I first need to extract the date, and that’s where I’m stuck at the moment. I tried IF( REGEX_MATCH(dates & '', '^(\\d{4}-)(\\d{2}-)(\\d{2})'), REGEX_EXTRACT(dates & '', '^(\\d{4}-)(\\d{2}-)(\\d{2})'), BLANK() ) But I don’t get the expected result: 2023-05-01, 2023-06-01 > returns 2023- (expected 2023-05-01) I used Regex101 which made me assume this would work fine, I also checked on the forum and tried many variations but I don’t get it.

Hello- Does anyone know of you can create a button that acts as a page jump to a specific record or place within the dashboard? Meaning: Button is clicked and then it automatically jumps via a preset filter to let’s say “Design Review”. By passing all of the other information that may not be relevant to me. Thanks! Scott

Hello everyone, new airtable user here. I’m trying to manage my projects using airtable. So I’ve created a simple base with clients, projects, and todos. Now I want to share it with my teammates and clients. One thing I’m finding very difficult is sharing a base with restricted view access. First, I don’t want my collaborators to see data in the clients table. I only want to share the todos table, I checked every sharing option, but I don’t think there is a way to share only a table. Also, I want to share a view with editor access with my client; so the client can check the progress and add or remove tasks as they please. With my brief time with airtable, I don’t think I can do either of these. Am I missing something here? or is my setup or thinking wrong?

Hello! I found this post: Help tracking check in/out equipment for our small video studio using barcodes - and started to build our own equipment inventory check out/check-in system (thank you Ben.Young for creating this!). I’m looking to expand this further to allow checking out of equipment bundles. Currently, our base has “Individual Equipment” and we’d like to have Equipment Bundles as an option as well. We’d like the option to either check out individual equipment or an equipment bundle (and every individual equipment within that equipment bundle would also be checked out and not available when that bundle is checked out but then available when that bundle is checked back in). I started to try this on as a separate table but got stuck - would love any help with this! Here’s our current Airtable Base:

Hi! Hoping if anyone can give me a few pointers, I wanted to create a unique description to a record when linked with another record in another table. The field in the original table is allowed to link multiple records. So… In Table1 it is a link record to Table2. When the user links a record in Table1 to one of the fields in Table2, I want them to populate some description thats unique to the Table1/Table2 connection. Asking the support I have been told this is not possible, but potentially I could script this somehow, but not sure how to do this? Not looking for the specific script but if anyone can give me an idea as to how to do it, would be very helpful! Thanks

Hi everyone. I am trying to calculate a due date based on a specific date minus number of days before. Example: The master Date of a trip is 10/01/2022. I have a column (DAYS BEFORE TRIP) where I enter the number of days that a specific task needs to be done before the trip. I have another Column (DUE DATE) that lists the due date based on that calculation. I need a formula that basically does this… 10/01/2022 - (DAYS BEFORE TRIP) = Due Date So let’s say I need to book airfare 30 days before the trip. In the DAYS BEFORE TRIP field I would enter 30. My formula with then would calculate and display 09/01/2022 as the due date. There are so many tasks that I don’t want to have the trip date listed every time so I want to embed the actual date in the formula. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help!

When creating a record, in a table such as an Opportunity, and the Company has been entered (related/lookup table), how do you display a field based on the Contacts related to the Company - in a drop-down menu - to pick a single or multi value

Hi, Just wondering if there is anything available that allows users to search for a specific form using all of the fields within the database? Similar to the filter function but I don’t believe that will be user friendly for most people. The standard search plugin isn’t good enough for what I am trying to achieve. Is there anything on the website that I have missed that allows for this? It’s like form functionality but instead of adding to the database it will return results that match. Cheers

I have a table with dates of vacant shifts (let’s call it “Vacancies”). I have a second table to collect form responses for folks who sign up to fill vacant shifts (“Sign-ups”). T he dates in the Vacancies table are set to the Friendly date format. In the Sign-ups table, there is a linked field to the Vacancies, so when a user completes a form, they can see the vacant shifts and select shifts to cover for… Now here’s the problem: when a user selects the drop-down of available dates, they are in this horrid format and I don’t see anywhere I can change it… Does anyone know how I can get the form to display the friendly date format or a form user? It feels silly that I haven’t found how to change it and, if I can’t, then this form isn’t going to work out to fulfill the function I need it for :frowning:

For example table 1 has columns: Email, FB, LI. (which we can refer as Contact Channels) Applicant 1 has only Email and FB accounts Applicant 2 has Email, FB, and LI accounts In table 2 I wanted to create a contact channel dropdown list. Is it possible to have the list depending only on what’s inputted in table 1? For example, applicant one should only have 2 choices in the dropdown while applicant 2 should have 3. Or is there any way that it will automatically list down the channels instead of the dropdown list once the applicant added fields in Table 1 columns?

Hello, I have a company review database. On Table 1 is the Companies. Table 2 has the Reviews of those companies, with links to those individual entries. Each company has multiple reviews submitted by various people. I have linked Companies to Reviews, done a lookup for the url + title I want (from Reviews). The script I have transforms those into hyperlinks successfully., but ONLY if there is only 1 url and 1 title in those fields. Because each company has multiple reviews submitted by different people, each field has multiple entries (both url and title), and my script is resulting in one run-on link that shoved all the titles together. Any ideas how to edit this script to separate each of these out? I used: let tb2 = base.getTable("Companies"); let query2 = await tb2.selectRecordsAsync(); for (let record of query2.

I am trying to do the following in Airtable: If Person A receives a warning for “Being Late”, the record is marked as “1” or “First”. If the same warning occurs again, it’s marked as “2” or “Second” If Person A Receives additional warnings for, let’s say “Stealing” or “Damaging Property”, it will mark each of these instances as “1” or “First” If the Record was to expire: e.g. Person A: Being Late “First” Expires Person A: Being Late “Second” Active, Then the Record that is “Second” becomes “First” Is something like this possible in Airtable? Maybe I am just missing something or my creative juices have just run dry.

I have a base with about 40,000 records spread over 20 tables. Base has been around for over a year. About 1-2 months ago I noticed that some of the table names reverted to names from months ago. Keep in mind this is not the default “Table 1” names but table names I had provided, but long since changed. One out of 5 times when I reload the page, I see the correct names. The other 4 times I see the old names. I have tried changing the table names using incognito browsers but as soon as I reload the page, the names are back to the old names. Has anyone else seen this sort of breakdown in their bases? Customer support hasn’t been able to solve this problem despite working on it for over a month with their engineers, so I’m hoping someone from the community might be able to give me more ideas.

I hope to get some help on Frankensteining my own version of Stylebook and Pureple that creates outfits BUT is based user preferences instead of random chance, and doesn’t require the torture of photographing clothes. My Method So Far: I created a database of my wardrobe across three tables so far based on garment category: Tops Bottoms Outer Layer Each table has columns that describe a garment’s color, fit, fabric, length, collar/neckline, embellishments, closures, etc. Then I: Created views in each table based on Outfit Proportion. Copy+pasted those individual lists into a combination generator to create outfits Manually weeded out outfits that didn’t look good based on mismatches (eg denim on denim, black and red, etc.).

Hello, I am tracking productivity: And I’d like to track the number of days that the productivity was above (let’s say) 75%, but happening in an uninterrupted sequence of days In the image above, the number would be 0 (or 1) In this example it would be 3 What formula would be used for this? And secondly, where should I write the formula? In contrast to excel, I understand that I can’t pick any random cell to calculate this because each row is connect to that record? Thanks!

Any plans for this? I have parts of one AT I would like to sync to another but don’t want to merge both ATs and end up with an insane number of tables to manage in one AT.

Hello all Is there a way to be notified when someone deletes a record? I mean… not just included in Airtable. I’m ok also with using zapier or other solutions… is there a way ANYWHERE to receive a mail when someone deletes a record? Thanks in advance Ivan

Maybe someone of you can help me to “sort” this out :nerd_face: I have a table where the records are sorted automatically when grouped. when I link all the records into another table and group by the same field, the groups are not sorted correctly. I also tried to use the convenient “sort” command, but no luck… Any idea how to get the groups sorted using the linked field? Thanks!

Similar to another user I’m having the following issue: "I am trying to import a Google Sheet containing ~500 rows of data into Airtable. Airtable successfully detects the data, including the column labels, but after I confirm and press the “Import” button, it always throws this error “says conflicting with another change.Refersh page” I’ve tried downloading the table into csv and reuploading and it does the same thing. The only way it works is to copy and paste data in but all the clicks for what i need to import is brutal on my wrists as I’m disabled. I need to be able to just import. The table is full of contact info for organizations so not really numbers or formulas or anything linked at all. . How can I fix this?
