Hi, I have a question about the Lookup function. I have a base whose structure is like the following images. I have three tables containg different master data respectively and one “main” table. Now, I’d like to assign people to the “Assignees” column in the “main” table. The assignees are expected to be automatically selected from the “Assignees” table soon after a new record is created with the “Company” and “Category” columns being filled in in the “main” table. How can I do that? Thank you.

Is there a way to default all views created by Editors to be Personal Views? It’s possible that this is the default but I’m unable to test properly with only a couple logins. Thanks!

Good Day I am very new to Airtable and loving it. I am creating a data base from a csv file. Some of the information is missing, it’s a customer list with lots of personal information. I would like to email it to the customer and get them to check the information and update it or correct it. Please can you explain how I go about this? Many thanks

Hey everybody, i am looking for an app, that can show me availability of dates in a given timeframe and so far i couldn’t find anything, that seemed to fit my needs. This is the usecase: We store only records with dates and time as we’re managing a venue, that is booked for events. We’re getting asked about free dates in a specific timeframe. This is what i want to achieve: I would like to put in a range between two dates (lets say 01. October till 31. November) and a time, after which should be no records or if there are, i want to be shown those. Context: We have certain times, where events would regularly start (lets say 4pm) - if there is a booking before that time, that would be fine, if after, that would usually not work. I want to get an output that tells me, on which dates in this timeframe this filter fits. So basically it’s: Show me all days that don’t have a record starting afte

Hi, I have a ‘Number’ field with a precision of 1.00. When i enter a value in the ‘Form’ view of this field, it’s rounding it automatically. 0.75 become 0.8 etc. Do you have any idea of how can i fix it please ?

How to maintain stock count daily by linking too many field ? Example , I have a tracking list that dial by my co workers . What they do is to fill in all the sale out daily , how can i link it to a database if its out of order by not filtering it

I’ve been updating several workspaces to the newer plan over the past few months. I updated one lingering workspace today, and was surprised to see the GUI of the app completely change. Screenshots attached. The annoying part was if I scrolled down, I couldn’t see all my bases in one screen, only each workspace. And “Recently opened bases” is gone. Plus when I open a base in my Mac app, a web browser window would open instead of the app. This is a downgrade. What’s going on here?

I signed into a collaborator’s account today and noticed that my personal views can be seen. This is not normal, right? See photo below. I checked my account to see if I could see the collaborator’s personal views on my account and I cannot. Hope this issue can be resolved quickly. Airtable Support

Im trying to use a form to add names to a field and have the following fields setup with single select choices that will randomly be chosen when the record is created. im looking to make a NPC generator that fills in the choices for me after i put in a name

Guys, quick question, Is there any way to create a form with sections as you can do with Google Forms? I will give you an example, to make you understand better what I want to do, maybe there are other solutions as well. Title: Event application form First question: How many people would you like to register? Single choose: a. 1 person, b. 2 persons, c. 3 persons etc. If they choose to register 1 person, they will have the second question: “Please fill your full name” If they choose to register 2 or more people, they will have to complete: “Please fill the full name of each people” In conclusion, is there any chance to create 1 form, with multiple sections in order to avoid creating one form for each number of people from a group who can apply for a conference? And unfortunately, we cannot ask each one of them to apply due to some future questions.

I’m wondering how I should get values from fields based on record IDs? I have a table called customers with a record created by record_id() formula. How can I get the value of say an email address or billing address if I know the records ID in a different table? Or am I thinking about this wrong somehow?

I have an open-access data collection form that my members can fill in. Members are in different organisations with their own email domain. I want to be able to restrict views of the results by domain so that people can only see the responses from others in their organisation - which Airtable lets me do via the restrictions options built in to the view. So I created a View, gave it the name of the company in question and restricted the view by domain. However when somebody is invited to collaborate on the base they just see everything in the table/view and the view itself isn’t restricted by domain - I think the difference between being invited as a full base collaborator (with commenter permissions) and simply having a link to a view without being invited to to the base. I believe I need these members to be collaborators, as opposed to simply being sent a link. If they only had a link to a restricted view they wouldn’t (necessarily) have an Airtable ac

I’m creating a node.js/react app, I have my users in airtable (and all other data), how can integrate an SSO login for those users?

I have a table with all information about my students: 44 fields initially, 48 now. I have a table for collecting grading information about students, when created, the students’ table had 44 fields. The grading tabkle has the 44 fields synced. But I would like to see the 4 other fields I have created in the students’ table but they do not synced with the grading table, it only shows the 44 fields and not the 4 new ones. Any idea?

While organizing an event I have this simple table: https://airtable.com/shrClDgt5JN17c7XX People register on a certain date, and pay a certain amount The same people pay what they are due a week or 2 later. Now, here’s my thing: I want to know per day how much money is due. So if 2 people register on day 1, at the end of day 1 $30 is due On day 2 $45 is added, On day 2 a total amount of #30+$45=$75 is due. On day 7 people start paying. What system could I use to visualize per day how much money is due? In a spreadsheet you can make use of sumif / sumifs but that is not possible in AirTable.

How fine-grained is “Field & table editing permissions” listed for a Pro account? Can I restrict the ability for a user of a base (Collaborator?) to create/delete views but still be able to edit records in a view I’ve created and locked? Because if I can’t stop my users who are allowed to enter new records from deleting forms and views that I’ve created for their use, then it’s a deal-breaker.

I’m looking to create an automation where a google calendar event is created when we know the 1% rollout date of a feature. Then I want that same event to update once the 100% date target is known as well. But the automation doesn’t seem to be able to create an event with just one day being known. Should I create a formula to auto fill in 14 days as a default? Also struggling on how to do that effectively.

I would like to sync fields from one table to another table in the same base. And I don’t mean link the records. It appears the only way you can do this is between bases, however then you lose the ability to link records back to the source base. I must be missing something and would appreciate help. For example, what I am trying to accomplish : I have a table named “Active Pipeline” and it contains fields with last name, and first name. I want another Table named “Master Client Contact List” in that same base and I want those 2 fields to sync over to the other table. Thus, I am not manually duplicating data entry. I want that Master Client table to grow via syn from the Active Pipeline table. Thank you,

Hi all! I’m conducting a survey that includes a multiple-select field. Has anyone devised a formula or some other clever way to transform multiple-select data into single-select fields (toy example below). I came up with a way of doing it in Excel and then pasting it back into Airtable, but I’m wondering if there is a more elegant approach (other than having the fields be single-select to start out with, which makes for a sub-optimal survey experience). Hey guys, I’m using Integromat (Make) to connect Adalo with AirTable. What I’m trying to achieve: • (1) Adalo “Watch Records” (if created or updated) → • (2) AirTable “Search Records” with formula SEARCH(’{{1.Email}}’,{Email}) (where “1.Email” = Adalo email field and “Email” = AirTable email field) • (3) IF TRUE (Email found on AirTable) → Update AirTable Record • (4) IF FALSE (Email not found) → Create AirTable Record Tried various ways (see screenshots) and… • Update Record = Works perfectly • Create Record = It never creates a new record Please see the screenshots to see what I’ve already tried. What could be a solution is if I could set a filter for Adalo to create an AirTable record when Adalo “Created” date is TODAY() but there’s no condition like “Today” in Integromat to evaluate Adalo date against. Yesterday was the first time in over two years I experienced a bug in Airtable. Data in 3 columns has inexplicably disappeared. The data is all intergers. The summations at the bottom of the columns is still correct I just cannot view the data anymore. Any thought on recovering my data, I think it must be still thereI just am unable to view it. all other columns about 20 of them appear to be working fine. thanks

Hi, before in the share view, we can right-click a column head and select filter or group by this column. But recently we notice this function is disabled. Can we recover this function?

Hi. I have no scripting experience so hoping someone can help. Is there a way to use the scripting block to delete all records from certain tables? I can do this manually, but I have to do this from 8 tables out of 30 in a base that I duplicate regularly. If there was just one button I can click to do this at once, that would be amazing. Bonus if it first asked to confirm that I really want to do this, so someone doesn’t accidentally click it.
