Hello everyone, I have a calendar for work where people have the chance to show up to multiple events throughout the year. I would like to have a multiselect with the names of the various events instead of just days to show up. I’d also like to for their name to show up in the calendar with the days associated with the event. Is this something I’m capable of doing with airtable?

If I place the cursor in a cell, then normally I can drag that cell up or down by clicking on and holding the little square at the bottom right and then moving it up or down, but sometimes when I move it up or down no other cells are selected. I just stay in the one cell. Same when wanting to select multiple cells. I can only select one cell. I genuinely don’t understand why this is happening. It is independent of the type of cells I’m working on. Cells that I can drag one day are no longer draggable the next. I’ve turned Sorting on and off. I’ve tried refreshing the screen. I’m sure I’m overlooking something very obvious… but what?

A button field is appended in a synced table. What I would like to do is that once a user clicks the synced record’s button field it will update the source record based on other appended fields in the synced table. Is this possible? Maybe a script attached to the button field can do it.

It sucks that every other CRM comes with a dialer/ chrome extension to hook up with the CRM to call numbers with Twilio / Plivo dialer except Airtable.

I need the summary total for each group, seems like this is not happening in airtable yet so my only workaround, in a hurry, is to print screen! come on guys!

Hi, I’m trying to send 17 records to an email of a collaborator - and to myself - but we’re both not receiving anything, and it’s not in junk mail. I’m highlighting records and right clicking and then ‘send all selected records’ From what I’m reading this should be possible on the free version as I’m sending to a colleague that is part of my team. Can anyone let me know where I’m going wrong?

Hello people! I am trying to setup a table which will contain reminders for when I want to connect with my clients. Basically, I want to setup weekly/fortnightly/monthly reminders based on day of the week. Like so - Weekly - Thursday, Monthly - 1st week Friday, Monthly - 3rd week Tuesday Now, the reminder should be mailed to me like this - Daily reminder - Based on the given day (weekly and monthly) Weekly reminder - All reminders in that week Monthly reminder - All reminders with Monthly frequency I’m feeling very confused as I’ve hit my brain on this for few hours wondering how to make it work. I have read lots of support posts and docs as well, and have given up now. Any help would be appreciated.

I would like the user to be able to schedule with the google calendar. I have created an automation on airtable so that every time an event is created on the google calendar, it creates a row in airtable. But this solution is not very good because it requires a lot of automation to manage the synchronization. Has anyone managed to do this differently? thx

I have a database of incoming groups with all the pertinent data such as group name, arrival/departure date, #rooms held, # rooms picked up, room rate, # guests, contract attachment. I need to present to my hotel managers a summary of specific information including attachments every two weeks so that they are prepared for incoming groups. What is your suggestion of an app or the best way to do this? Thank you. Emily

Hello, my dear friends! Has anyone found a friendly way to deal with having multiple tasks on the same day in Gantt view? The invalid dependencies are enough to drive anyone batty :stuck_out_tongue: , but I can live with that, what’s more difficult is sorting. We are trying to use the Gantt view to communicate tasks to team members on the build floor and coordinate hand-offs. However, the Gantt view can be incredibly confusing, becasue everything is all out of order. Is there a way to sort same-day tasks that are dependent on each other, so they are always in successive order? I did this in another base by creating 50 look up fields to look up the previous tasks task and so on, but that is a pain to recreate each time and will eventually break. Any ideas how to write an IF code for hotel VAT? I have 50 hotel nights showing in column {Nights} multiplied by the {nightly rate} @ £200/night = £10,000 VAT is calculated @ 20% on top of the first 28 nights and then @ 5% from the 29th night onwards. I would love a formula that can calculate this.

My node api call keeps failing. My code is updating the same records several times, Is the Airtable servers slow that it can’t handle multiple calls concurrently ? There are several update calls being made from my API. Hello everyone! I was wondering is there a way to make it so only creators can create views? From my snooping around I haven’t been able to find a way.

I’m not sure the best way to do this but I would love some direction if anyone can help. I have a base with all my upcoming events and their contacts and organizations putting them on (we have multiple each week). In one table are the Events and all their information. In another Contacts and the last is the Organization putting it on. I would love to keep track of which employees are working each event. What is the best way to have an Employee table and then add employees to each event and see it cleanily? (I have relationships across all 3 already) Would making an employee table, then link it to the events table and using a gallery view be the best way? The employee could potentially be scheduled to multiple upcoming events at the same time. Thank you in advance for any help!

I have a column named Day name which is a single select field containing names of day - Monday, Tuesday, etc. How can I create another column which gives the weekday number of this? I know I need to use Weekday() function, but how can I set it up such that it converts the string to work with Weekday() function? Thanks.

Hi fellow community members, In the Tool I am building to follow-up auctions, i created 2 tables: Table 1: “list of lots in auction” Table 2: “Price obs table” in which i made a link with Table 1 My target is, in table 1, to retrieve info from fields “Max Bid Price”, “Max Bid Calculation” and “No bid” fields from table 2 linked with the concerned record. I have 2 tables linked, one with job information (primary) and one with finance, when i delete one from the job information table the finance table still has its relevant data (information not linked to original). Is there a way of automatically deleting the one when the other is deleted? Thank you

Is it possible to do this? I’d like have an Airtable form with an attachment field, requiring someone to submit a CSV file (with info already filled out). The contents are then imported into an existing table with the contents mapped out accordingly? I’d have them fill out the contents with a form, but sometimes entries could be as much as 20+ … I checked MiniExtensions but didn’t find anything that would work for this use case. Help is appreciated.

Hi! I have a base with start date, end date and completion date. When setting the Gannt I have start date and end date that create “a line”. However, I wanted to see also something on the Gantt that gives me when that activity was completed. I was thinking about setting that as milestone but it is not posible. I know that I can color the category as eg. green to see that is completed but I want to see WHEN. Any suggestion is highly appreciated! Thanks!!

Hi, I’m looking to solve something that is probably very basic. I have a master table that I’d like to bring in add’l data (size) into from Table 2 using the first column as the key. In this example, here is size data from table 2 that will be going over to the Master Table. In the Master Table, I’d like multi select fields with the data from Table 2. Can anyone please help me figure this out? Thanks, Michael

We started using Airtable at work and I signed up, accepted all of the invites viewed them at work and at home I log into Airtable and I cannot find how to get to our database. Any help would be greatly appreciated

In some tables, I have a lot of columns & I move around things a lot, is it possible to update the order of columns in the view by one click or by script ?

Each year I screen every kinder student and determine whether they’re OK, need speech service, need a recheck in 1st grade, or a recheck in 2nd grade. I’ve created a table for the first year- but I cannot figure out how to automatically move students from the 19-20 table into the 20-21 or 21-22 tables if they have data in the recheck field. If they are OK or receive service and meet mastery, or are disenrolled, (unshown fields) they do not need to transfer to the new tables. I also only need certain fields of data to move from the current table into the other 2 tabels (Student name, DOB, sounds) as the grades/teacher names will all change as they shift from grade to grade.
