I have “next meeting date” in one table (a table describing regular meetings) and then I have “event date” in another table (describing one time events). I’d like a calendar view with all those dates. I’m thinking about auto-copying dates into a “dates table” when a date field is updated, wondering if there’s something more elegant. Thanks
I need to build this /dp/B079KHS5CY This part B079KHS5CY comes from my “Data” column. How can I combine this together to form a proper URL? Thanks in Advance
Recently I began changing over from gmail to apple’s mail. I usually sign into airtable with apple–that is, not with an airtable password. I couldn’t sign in because the new apple email wasn’t recognized as a member, of course. So I hit, “forgot password” and made a password. I signed in with the new password and gmail account. Then I went into my account and changed the email to the newer one at apple. Now online I cannot get my workspace at all. It is still on my phone (perhaps still signed in with old mail?) I tried changing my email back to the original one, but that did not help. Is there anyway I can get the workspace back online? I’m afraid it may sync my phone and then I will have lost all my info.
I’m syncing a table from 1 base to another which contains 30 or so employees and their daily salary on a project. At the end of the day each day, I would like to add all the employees and their salaries to another table, the data table, in the base. As I add employees (or offboard them) I would like to only those people in that day’s list. Do I need to have 30 different automations, one for each employee? And how do I deal with employees being onboarded and offboarded? Perhaps a script or something can elegantly solve this? I do not know how to build scripts personally. Any advice on this relatively straightforward but hard for me issue would be greatly appreciated!
Hey! I use Airtable to plan a basketball practise. I bring the information for each exercise by pasting it from Excel into the “exercise plan” table for the participating athletes. When I paste the Excel data into the Airtable, the date field changes to a text field. Can anyone tell me why this is? I have modified the field types in Excel and Airtable in many different ways, but the problem recurs over and over again. I have a similar table in another account and this problem doesn’t recur there?
Sometimes I need to copy a record from one table and paste it into another. Until this week, I was able to do so with no problem. However, now I’m having an issue with multiple select fields. For example, one field is for a person’s availability, and they might select three days (e.g., Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). When I paste the record into a different table, it creates a new option within that field called “Monday Tuesday Wednesday.” I want the days to remain separate. Airtable Support said that creating a new option is what’s supposed to happen, but that doesn’t really make sense to me. They gave me a couple of workarounds, which would make the process more time-consuming. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!
I have a scenario where I need to create “Booking” records in AirTable via Zapier in which some bookings might have multiple “Payments”. These Payment records will already be in AirTable, but in this Zap I need to create a new Booking and relate the two existing Payments to it. How can I use Zapier to create a new Booking in AirTable and connect two existing Payments to the Booking at the same time? I’ve tried using a comma delimited list of Payment unique ids (see screenshots).
Hello! I’m a bit of an Airtable novice, asking on behalf of my employer who definitely knows more than I do. So I can get more information if necessary, in short :slightly_smiling_face: We are building a table for rental items that are checked out, and we want to have it know that a particular item is not available for rent if the requested time falls between the day it is to be checked out and the day it will be returned. Is there some way to have this range automatically populate? We are struggling to figure it out. If there’s any further clarifying info I can give, please let me know!
Any idea why this is giving me the same result? I assume this should be a negative number not zero right?![ https://photos.app.goo.gl/vyBy9Ij2WerlK2XF3 Day formula : DATETIME_FORMAT({Meeting Date}, ‘dddd’) Days Remaining formula: DATETIME_DIFF({Meeting Date}, TODAY(), ‘days’)
Hi sorry if this is really basic but I am completely new to using Airtable so I have a basic data set and am looking to create an invoice, I have the page designer up and it has the options in blue that are in my table (Client, net amount, vat etc) and the option to add images text etc. What I can’t find is the mode option that allows you to list data format it into a table etc? We do have the upgraded version I just can’t get it to look right in this view can anyone help?
Hi everyone, I want to trigger a script that will create a new section. inside the section, it will create views and filter them. I couldn’t find a way to achieve this. I searched in the community and found that this had been requested before. this s would really be beneficial to have since it will automate processes. Also, another thing is having the ability to duplicate a section with all the views in it. instead of duplicating all the views in a section, move them one by one. Is there any way for these features to be applied! or maybe it is applied already but I haven’t found a way to use them yet. Thank you
We could save a lot of time if we had a little more control over the Gallery, when we embed in the website. We’d like the headlines to flow, variable width for the columns, a limit on # of columns, and RTF formatting for the fields. Is this in the works? Is there another solution or app? How are people solving this problem?
Hello, so we have created multiple databases to put on our website. the databases looks clear when using a laptop however when using a mobile devise, the database looks like completely different. How do I get the view to be the same on both desktops and mobile devices.
Just curious if Airtable recently updated the way their iOS app loads data? I have large bases that use to fail to load or load super slow sometimes, but recently they have been opening super fast. Not sure if it is new phone, but very impressed by current load speeds!
Hi. There are online forms hosted by other orgs that i need to fill repeatedly, with different data each time. I also need the same data to be stored in Airtable. Is there any way to either 1) Enter the data into AT first, then use the AT data to automatically fill the form using some kind of macro/extension/app, or 2) Enter it into the form, and then export it to AT before I submit. I’d rather not enter it twice! Thanks.
Hey! Many people are using Joonbot as an alternative to Airtable forms. You can integrate your chatbots with Airtable easily. For example, you can send and update records in Airtable and you can also get data from your Airtable and use it in real-time in your chatbot conversation. You’ll find here some video tutorials about how to manage data in Airtable and Joonbot. Try it for free!
The forms are an excellent way to collect information in a pre-formatted way. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of app based forms that are chat bots. The chat screen would open and ask the first field (text, date, etc.) and once you confirm the information is correct, the chat bot would move to the next field and so on. This way you can add information in a conversational way. Each field would prompt the chat bot to ask question in specific ways based on the data field type using loops voice to text, then confirmation that the information is correct, then move to the next field.
How can I embed an Airtable “Form” into an email? I would like responders to answer the form directly in the email, without having to navigate to a different window through a linked Airtable Form.
I’m using Airtable forms for request notifications for work. The team members who will action the work are not using Airtable. Apart from sharing the airtable grid view via a “read only” link - is there a way I can get the link to the responses visible to non Airtable users?
Hello, I want to have a base with all my events listed in one table. In another table (presumably) I want to have a record that automatically is populated with this week’s events. This will be linked to a form that participants can use to choose which events they will be attending this week. I have figured out how to isolate all the events happening this week on the first table, but not how to auto-populate the second table with those events and dates, so that I can create a form with those dates. Basically, I am trying to do an automated Transposed Copy from one table to another, but only with the records that match this weeks’ Weeknum. I think I am missing something rather simple, but can’t figure this out, even with searching for help. Thank you.
I have a date being pulled in from another system which is written in PST, it has GMT turned off. The date goes through some formatting formulas but is still written in PST. When I export a calendar (ical) with the finished formatted date, it seems off a day or so when read by Google, Outlook, etc. How do I make the iCal understand the date it’s getting from an airtable field is PST and it does not have to adjust it? It says https://airtable.com/..../iCal?timeZone=America%2FLos_Angeles&userLocale=en but it doesn’t seem to matter no matter what I change the timeZone= to, it is still wrong when compared to airtable’s date which i understand is in PST because I pulled it in PST while in the PST time zone.
Hi Airtable Community! I have developed an involved set of connected tables and views. One of my tables is a list of employees. When they are working in the field they are able to submit information via a form. I am now replacing an employee. I don’t wante to loose all the data that employee entered, and I don’t want them to still be a selectable option in the dropdown on the form. So, how do I hide or remove them from the form and still retain all the data they’ve entered? Thanks for the help!
Hi everyone  . I have a question regarding the pre-fill feature in Airtable, I use Prefill Form app for this, however, at the same moment, I need to hide these prefilled fields. Does anyone know by chance what and where particularly I need to put additional code in the formula below? The formula was generated by Prefill Forms App. “https://airtable.com/****************” & “prefill_Schedule%20Request%20Type=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT(“One tri[p”) & “&” & “prefill_Relevant%20Trip%20for%20Group%20Reschedule=” & ENCODE_URL_COMPONENT({Trip ID} & “”)
Hola. Necesito ayuda para configurar algunas tablas de airtable. Son cosas básicas pero estoy teniendo problemas y me gustaría el apoyo de algún experto.
Hello community! I’m trying to build a tool to help with monthly invoicing for various clients. The input form lets me specify the client via a link to the “clients” table, as well as any advance the client may have paid. Next I can enter hours worked, kilometers driven, and out-of-pocket expenses. In grid view sorted by client and month, I can see the sums for all these fields at the base of each field, but that’s unuseable data. I want to be able to generate these sums in a separate record, say “client A - April 2022” and see how much they advanced, how much they need to be invoiced, and have a formula calculate billable minus advance (actual billable total). If I can get all that data into one record, I can then create a view to make it easy to see. What’s the best way to do this? I need to stay on the free plan.
