Hello everyone. Does anyone know if there is a way to bring the most recent activity from the recent activity column inside a record and display it in a cell in a table?

I am trying to create a formula that will change a column to say Active or Inactive based on the numbers of days before an item expires. For example: I have contracts that expire over the next four years. When one of the contracts gets within 6 months of expiring I need a column to change to Active or Inactive. All of the Actives will be within 6 months of expiring Inactives will be anything valid for more then 6 months. I tried to use this formula I found in the forums and changed my expiration date column to Purchase Date just so the columns would match and it keeps telling me that it is an invalid formula. IF(DATETIME_DIFF(TODAY(), {Purchase Date}, ‘days’) < 365, ‘Inactive’, ‘Active’). Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello, I’m having issues with Autonumber. I have a simple sequential ID being created as an autonumber, starting with 1, through 2, 3, 4, etc. When a new record is created it automatically assigns a ‘number’ to it. So next in this sequence would be 5. However, for example if we now delete record five, and a new record is created after this, instead of numbering it ‘5’ based on the sequence, it starts at 6. This is a real problem because a bunch of records were created to demonstrate to a colleague, and were then deleted. So now the numbering is starting at much higher than the next in the sequence. Any reason why this is doing this and is there any way to ensure it’ll just create a new number based on the previous record number?

Hello, So I need to embedded several forms (to the same Table) on multiple pages on a website. These will capture roughly the same information. But, I need to know where the enquiry came from. For example, we have individual landing pages on our website for people coming from Google Ads, from Facebook Ads, direct enquires, etc. In Airtable I have a ‘Source’ field (Google, Direct, Facebook, etc) but I need this to be pre-filled BUT hidden on the form itself (so the customer doesn’t see it). This is so as the entries come into Airtable I know where they came from. I don’t want to use a separate Table (which I know would solve this) as I need all records in the same Table. It seems the prefill_ formula only works on visible fields, not hidden fields. Ultimately, Is it possible to differentiate somehow which records came from specific embedded forms on different webpages…? I hope that makes sense.

I have a Orders and Line Items tables that are linked together in the typical parent child relationship where an order has many line items. My question is how can I append the line item index (+1) to the order number in the line items table? For example: Order number 20001 has 3 rows of line items in the line items table. I already have a row for each line item in the line items table but I would like a column with 20001-1, 20001-2, 20001-3 ({Order #} + index). Thanks in advance for any help!

I’m using employee directory base, and it’s great, but what if an employee gets promoted and his/her title or even department changes? I can manually update the data but is there a way to keep track of that so I can view the history or know when an employee got promoted?

Here’s what I am trying to achieve: When a user submits data on our AirTable form it populates a row (as it is meant to). I’d like it so that when a user submits data the row has the sidebar change color to, say, “red” - this way I can quickly visualize the new data that has come into the AirTable Table Thanks!

I’ve always dragged photos from photos app directly to airtable Attachments field. Now, only some of the time it seems to work, and the rest it doesnt acknowledge my hovering cursor… and I instead have to drag them from Photos app to desktop, THEN from desktop to Airtable… what am I missing here? why is it only sometimes and not all the time

Hi, I have been trying for days and looked through previous posts but haven’t been able to find an answer. I created a linked table that shows how many engagements (essentially projects) per client account. NOTE: all of these records are completely made up and using as examples! Client accounts may have both active and inactive engagements, because there might be more than one engagement (project) assigned to an account. But my objective here is to show the account’s status as ‘Active’ if there is at least one active engagement. I got to this point, but how can I default to ‘Active’ if the field contains both active and inactive?

Hello everyone, I’m setting up a database to access people’s task. I’ll state a task and assign a score to it, 1-5 to show how important it is, then check 3 fields. If the fields are checked, the value should equal the value score value selected earlier and if not, zero. Then the total vaue sholud be calculated only if the completed column is checked that the task is completed. So there are four checked to be checked. Let’s say i select a score of 4, and i check all three fields and then the complete field, the total score should be calcuated as 16, but if 2 fields and completed, I score 12 but if completed not checked at all, the total shouldn’t be calculated at all. I don’t know how to setup the formula for this or better still a script that can run this. Pls help out!

I tried to find earlier postings, and I think I did find one, but oddly enough, nobody responded. So, let’s try again. Instead of attaching images to records I would like to add the link to online photo’s. I know I can add a link to a photo (URL), but it won’t show the picture, just the URL! Is this possible in Airtable?

I have an airtable table with 5 fields. But when I embed, it doesn’t show the last field in the card view. Only after clicking on the card item does the entire details show on popup. Is there a way to show all the fields in card view ?

Hello everyone. Sorry if this isn’t in the proper category or if the question seems newbie. I’m kind of new to Airtable and was wondering if there’s a way to automatically populate a field across a whole table based on a condition within a field in that table and/or in another table entirely. To simplify, I have a table with the following columns: Website Name, URL, and Categories. What I want to achieve is create a 4th column based on values within the Categories field. For example, if Categories field has “Laptops”, the 4th column would automatically populate with a text like “Source1, Source2”, etc. Is there a way to do this across the whole table and at the same time be able to edit the “Source” text to add more websites? Photo for clarification: Is it possible to make it so that Sample Website 2 through 4 also have Source1, Source2 in their Sources column? Sorry if this is confusing. Thank you so much!

Hey all, I really hope you can help me with this - I imagine it to be simple but I just cant find an answer for this! I want to move my spreadsheets to airtable. In one, my main table, I have a list of students with their names (here ABCD), etc. In a second table I have more information about these students, but the name list is in a random order Now I would like to import the second table and have the data matched to the first one, so that the right data from table 2 are listed in a new field, but connected to the right student A, B, … What would be the best way to do this? Hi, I need help. In a base, I have two sheets, the report and vendors. In the vendors sheet I made a lookup field column and created the lookup column. In the configuration, I linked the report and the report vendor category column. I can go to vendor category column and click the plus mark to add a record. The report had 1000+ rows. I don’t want to add these in manual 1000+ times. How do I get the vendor category column to auto popular with all the matching records? What am I doing wrong? Thank you Kim

I accidentally added a collaborator to my workspace which eventually cost me $151 in my credit card. I found some instruction to get refunded but seem like the refund is gonna be made into airtable credit balance but not reverse my bank transaction. I tried to contact airtable but it was super frustrating with the help center function. Any idea what can i do to get my money back (not refund to airtable credit) Thanks!!

Hello everyone, I spent countless days trying to find a workaround with no joy. My table has multiple records, which all have multiple dates filled in on a single line. I’d like to find a way to count the number of dates just like a rollup would do, but only the dates that are within a week. My major issue is that even though I put filters in my rollup, the output which is a sum doesn’t take each date individually, but rather does the sum of every date of the record as soon as one date is within the scope. Any clue ? Thank you !
