Is it possible to block-off a day(s) from being used in the calendar view? For example, prevent assigning a task to a vacation day. Thank you.

For example, say I have a directory with all the employees an multiple levels of managers. Employees report to a first level manager. A first-level manager reports to a second-level manager, who reports to a director. I create a column for who each person reports to as a “parent” column. I want to create a column to shows all the people that report to a person that is linked to the original parent relationship. Is that possible? The purpose I have is different that my example but the concept is the same. Would appreciate the help! -Liz

Hi, Our team has a base with records that include a status field. We have a form for people outside our team to submit job requests. Is there a way to filter a view that only shows records submitted through the form? I was thinking perhaps assign the status “Under Review” by default when the form is submitted and then filter on that, but assigning defaults doesn’t seem to be an option. Is there another way to do this? Thank you and let me know if you need further information from my end. Ed

I really would love a better mobile app experience for Android. I am a huge fan of Airtable and everything it has to offer I love all of the new improvements that have been happening recently. But the experience on the mobile app is very very lacking I would love to have all of the same functionality and the same user experience that I have on the desktop in the mobile app to put it simply. I hope this is somewhere on the road map for the future. Also, I noticed when I try and add text into a long text field the text does not stay it ends up being a blink field after I attempt to add text.

Hi, This has been discussed previously (Link) but seems like it’s working sorta… I use the app on my iPhone and the video plays fine but within the app on Windows (not a browser) it won’t play. Can I request that the Airtable app on Windows just play every video file like VLC player does? It would make life a lot simpler.

Is it possible to basically run a For loop through all records? Say I have two tables: One that will be populated from a form, and one that will hold some data. For simplicity: Let’s say Table 1 (T1) is Things Let’s say Table 2 (T2) is Colors For all colors in Table 1, submit X for Table 1. For instance: For Red from T2, describe a Red Thing in T1. For Orange from T2, describe an Orange Thing in T1. If there exists an item in T2 that hasn’t been described in T1, make a cell in T1 show incomplete.

I changed a field view from a normal input cell to a formula cell and all of the data was erased. I need to know how to go back and just undo that change as I worked for several hours on other tasks and I don’t want to undo all of that work just to get that data back. How can I do this please?

Hello all. I have a list view of major calendar dates (Description/Start/Finish/Category). These are categorised into 12 topics (Secular/Major Event/Religious/Holiday etc.). When I create a timeline view, I only seem to be able to get 9 swimlanes, therefore three are missing. Is this a limitation or a bug? Have included a couple of screenshots. I have configured a Gannt chart for my deadlines as follows: Start date as a formula: TODAY(). End date as a date record. Deadlines are grouped in 4 categories. I’d like to order the deadlines starting with the closest and ending with the latest per category. Is this possible? It seemd like at first is worked fine, until I started adding more deadlines and categories. All deadlines are independent. So no dependencies.

Hey all, When using the CSV import app, is there any way to delete records that are not in the latest import file? There doesn’t appear to be a native way to do it during the app, but I’m wondering if there’s a simple + straightforward way to do it through a combination of formulas and potentially automations. Hello. Two colleagues who have subscribed to an AirTable calendar through Outlook have “imported” the new calendar, but it is not populated with any information. The calendar is blank. Does anyone know what would cause this? Thanks.

Hello All I have an integration with Integromat (that pulls NOAA Weather Zone Alerts). When Integromat fires off a response… in the alert body an array is presented with zone or multiple zones: "UGC": [ "CAZ070", "CAZ071", ] Now. Here is the issue: I then want to search in my NWZ Zone table to get the record ID for each Zone How do I make a formula to search through the array and iterate through the zone name Id’s? Hello! I have a Page Designer block set up that I’m embedding onto a SharePoint page so it can be viewed (read-only) by my team. I don’t want people to be able to change the table view that the records are pulling from, but I don’t see a way to remove that drop down. Also, I have to make sure that the view I want Page Designer to use is the first view in the list of views for that table, since it always defaults to the top view in the embedded window. Is there a way to lock it to that specific view that I want it to pull records from?

I would like collaborators to be able to add rows and then be able to edit only rows they added. On the other hand they should be able to “read only” all of the bases content. How would I set this up?

Seeking help I am involved with a project providing holiday gifts for disadvantaged kids. I have a table named Kids, which is populated by others with info on gift ideas per kid. Entry via online Airtable form. Yesterday I exported the data to a csv file for use in a mail merge operation. I proudly examined the output when I noticed some records with clearly wrong data in some fields. Yikes! The cause, I found, was some fields were filled with items that included commas. This messed up the alignment of the comma-delimited input file for the mail merge. So I determined how to identify the faulty records. I duplicated my Airtable table of 156 records, and did a filter on fields with commas. This gave me a list of 67 records. I performed a find/replace on them, replacing all the commas with periods. Here is my puzzle: the original Kids table somehow synced with the duplicate, which now means that it no longer has 156 kids…. But only 67. The good news is that I still have my exported CSV,

is there any way to access a single record via airtable API without using recordID? tried SEARCH() filterbyformula but not working since it is a number field. need to access records based on the SerialNumber. thanks in advance

Hello, I have one table that needs to collect data from two sources. The first source needs to complete basic information (the first 6-8 fields) one of the basic fields is the email address for the second source. Once the first source submits their entry the second source needs to receive an email asking them to complete the rest of the information, another 15-18 fields. I was thinking I could create two forms and use Zapier to trigger the email to the second source. Is there a way to ensure that the second source only modifies their own record? Thank you!

I have integrated Airtable with Google Drive but when I select New and Airtable from My Google Drive, it takes me to an incorrect page in Airtable. I have to then click on a tab called “Bases” for me to access my Airtable files and I can’t figure out how to show them as linked with My Google Drive. Can someone help me?

I’ve created a form for users to input data onto a table. As we’ve growing, some of the status selections have been changed. However, the form did not automatically update. We are creating many forms for our users, and it will be difficult to remember changes on every form. Is there a way for these forms to automatically update (like the views update automatically when shared?) or is this not a feature. Is there a work-around if it isn’t a feature? thank you in advance. Which app do you use for the knowledge base and documentation in synergy with Airtable? Currently Airtable doesn’t have a compartment for creating wiki and structured notes like Notion. What do you use to solve this problem?

I run a school store where by over 50 student keep different items with me that I group, some of this items are up to 30, 20, 69 and so on. this students come and pick diferent combinations of this items stored with me at any time of the week and will always have some items left until another day, i need a formula that can record all the individauls i keep stock of their items, the items itself and record to show accurately what is taken and what is left anytime a request is made. note that this items are daily provisions. please if there is any other information you need, i will be glad to assist you with it. thanks

I am a long time user of AT. However, I need some assistance. I do operations for a school. I need an elegant way to create the schedule automatically for the classes. I want to input the date of the first class, the days and times they have the classes every week, and the number of lessons in each learning period. I want to automate it, so at the click of a button all the lesson records are created based on the conditions listed above. Is it possible?
