Hello everyone! I’m absolutely new to Airtable and I have no idea what to start with. Tried looking up at YouTube guides and Airtable guides but couldn’t find a solution. I’m working as a Frontend Trainee and my manager is asking me to do a certain task with Airtable (I have no idea why), and here I am asking you to share your experience with me. So I will add screenshots to make it clear what my task is about. In table “Raw Data” I have some data with 2 shops K12 and K59 and formulas on percent done to goal. And then there is a Summary Bar at the bottom of sheet which has an option of displaying an average of selected field First question would be how do I stream/broadcast Summary Bar’s Avg to another rows/table? From what I know by reading guides it is not really possible. If that’s correct, is there a workaround to display average of “K12 Percent” field (and later “K59 Percent”’) fields in a selected row? I am trying to see if Airtable will do the Job we need it to do. Basically I am trying to Match up Data from one Organisation (UK) that gets sponsors for Children in Africa, and another in Africa, who has a list of Children that are sponsored on Excel. We are hoping they can use air Table and we can then match with thier Data. The UK org has a Database which links all the donor details and donations to the Child, but essentially needs to export out. CODE: CHILD NAME: SPONSOR NAME: The code is then used to link with the African lists. (currently on Excel) We are having issues because it is not in a Database, so looking for a DB format rather than Excel solution. I have replicated the Database on Airtable and it seems to work fine. However can the “SPONSOR TABLE” be updated from Excel. Ie if we have 100 Sponsorships “CODE 001, 002, 003 etc” and maybe Child 001 gets a new sponsor, is there a way to update the Table in Air table by importing the excel in again? Anyone know if this is possible or can do this? We provide CPR classes to companies and individuals on certain dates and times. Each class has a location, company, date, and participants attending associated with each class. Current Airtable setup: One base Tables: Participants, Classes, Companies, Instructors, Campaigns. Question 1: We have 15-30 different clients scheduling classes each month. How can I create a client “portal” so they can add their own participants in a class on their own without having excessive users? Question 2: How can we offer online registration with online payment, and each person registering is added to the correct class? Is there a way to make attachments dynamic in Airtable without resorting to links? We’re building out a master project tracker base, and the dream would be to be able to embed a doc draft and move the project in a kanban view through “needs review,” “ready for submission,” and “complete” without having to upload multiple attachments and possibly lose edits. I saw something about Integromat for a similar application, and wondering if it’s possible for word documents. Very new to AT–thanks so much!!

Hello, we have been researching and looking into different formulas that would allow us to highlight duplicates. We are looking to add a formula like this How to Highlight Duplicates in Google Sheets but for AirTable. However, we have yet to add or find any successful formulas that will highlight any duplicates automatically if they are added. Is there any documentation that can help point us in the right direction? So that we can add this to all of our tables.

I deleted a column mistaken, how can I recover all the contents of that column?

I have a template that I will be sharing with with people and allowing them to make copies of it to add to their workspace. I want to limit the number of times they can access the link to the template and create additional copies to share without my permission. Barring changing the link again and again, is there any way to limit the number of times a person can copy a base and/or a way to see if a person has accessed the link excessively?

I want to change the linked record by triggering from another text field. Is this possible?

Hi all, Have anyone noticed, after the release of the newest IOS 6.6 version in Oct 26th, 2021, there is no dynamic list after inserting “@” to tag someone? You have to manually spell their name instead of just inserting “@” and selecting their names from the list.

When trying to restore 4996 deleted records from a single table, we are getting “An error has occurred” message and nothing is restored. Is it because of some Airtable records number restoration limit or what else we can try to make it work? It is essential to restore the original records due to the number of linked/synced tables, bases, apps and everything. Using restoration from a snapshot would be a nightmare. Thank you for any ideas.

Hi all, I’ve been racking my brains all morning trying to figure out a formula for a table and could do with some assistance! What I’m hoping to achieve if a traffic light system. If a record isn’t uploaded to YouTube or shared on Youtube, the field displays a red emoji, if a record is uploaded but not shared, it displays an amber emoji and if the video is uploaded and shared, it displays a green emoji. Can an IF statement be used across 2 fields? What I am essentially looking for is an IF Contains formula! I got a certain portion of the way to an answer however, my formula was only working if the ONLY value in a field was YouTube (i.e no Facebook, Twitter) If anyone could offer any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it! I can only use Airtable if I can prevent copying, downloading, sharing, printing. It seems that in testing that our mac user could print and print to pdf even though it is restricted. Thanks!

I am new to airtable and dont know how to select particular record like user want record number 5 or 10 or 12 and similarly I also want to implement multiple records like I want to fetch records from number 5 to 15. I want to do all this task by api calls how can we accomplish this?

What I am hoping to create is a database + form (or another way) where I can let people see: A week full of days and timeslots for each day, for example “Monday 8:00pm-9:00pm”. Then, I would like them to be able to select multiple slots. Also, I don’t want slots to be filled or seen busy, but keep the slots open at all times, except for the person who selected them - so you can see what slots you selected and be able to change them Is this possible?

In airtable, I have an “Order Line Item” table in my “Sales” base that links to a record from the “Inventory” table from the “Inventory” base. This linked record column is called “Inventory ID”. It also has a linked record to my “Order” table in the “Sales” base. –order line item table– In integromat, I have a “Create Record” airbase tool. When I manually put in the Order ID, that creates the new order line item record no problem. But when I manually put in the Inventory ID record, it says it doesn’t exist. And, I’ve tried both the POST API and the Create Record tool. –synced inventory table– –integromat scenario excerpt– Is this a bug in the airtable API?

Hello! Here is the situation: I have a free plan and have created an Airtable base that I plan to embed on a website that is public facing. I noticed, when I look at the embedded view preview, that if you hover over the views on the left hand side (e.g. gallery view or grid view) you can see my name and email. Is there a way to anonymize this so that users of the Airtable can not see my email address? Thanks for your help!

Two record entries created via form submission (the most recent records out 41 total) are showing up entirely blank in my table view. The revision history for both the “blank” records actually shows complete responses were submitted/collected for all of the form fields–AND the history does not show any other activity after the submission (ie no indication that the record content had been deleted or edited in any way). But yet, the record itself is totally blank… So, what gives? Why are these entire records being magically cleared of content that the revision history shows had been submitted? Obviously (fortunately) I can create a new record with the form submission data recovered from the records’ revision history–but I am confused about why this is happening in the first place and worried about situations where I might not notice the issue before just deleting what looks like a spurious ‘blank’ entry. On amazon and many other sites, you can pick features X + Y + Z on the sidebar, and filter all items that contain X + Y + Z Where could we find the steps of how to do this in airtable? Is there a link with the steps? Say that all the cells within column A contain all the items. And column B:F has all of the features/variables/parameters/datapoints/etc How to filter/show all the items that has X + Y + Z? If we selected/filtered by feature X + feature Y + feature Z, how do we show that in the airtable sheet? In google sheets, you can filter and show the results on the same sheet, but the UI isn’t very good for the filter features. The biggest problem is I think that the filters are temporarily, and so are lost once you close the sheet. Want the filters to be saved and remembered when you reopen the sheet. Like most users, we come from excel/google sheets, so if you can use words that are commonly understood in normal spreadsheet apps, then that would be easier to understand how to do t

I have 2 tables: Organisations - which contains fields related to organisations we have funded to run projects - each record includes the organisation’s postcode Projects - which contains fields related to projects run by these organisations. The 2 tables are linked -a project links to one org and an org can link to multiple projects. I want to export the project table to csv to create a map of the projects but I need the postcode to be exported too and it’s in the other table. Can I do this? I currently only get the organisation’s name in the csv file as it’s the primary field of the org table. Thanks!

Hello there, My current setup: In one table [ALL PRODUCTS], I have two pairs of Lookup fields, providing all the options. [Products] = [Bananas, Apples, Grapes, Strawberries] [Markets] = [US, FR, DE] In another table [DELIVERED-PRODUCTS] I have multiple pairs of Lookup fields [Products] and [Markets], describing the products per market, a subset of the values in the previous table. [Products1] = [Bananas, Apples, Grapes] [Market1] = [US] [Products2] = [Bananas, Grapes, Strawberries] [Market2] = [FR] [Products3] = [Grapes] [Market3] = [DE] Ultimately, I would like to know what combinations are possible but not delivered per market, see point 5.
