We currently use a Formstack > Zapier > Airtable integration for dozens of forms, primarily because the Airtable form just doesn’t offer the functionality we need (logic, field validation, custom emails/notifications, branding, etc.). We deal with hundreds of users of varying technical abilities so ease of use for the end-user is paramount. All of our forms involve image uploads which are then added as attachments in Airtable. We used to use Google Drive for the image storage but this resulted in some sporadic problems with the images not being added in Airtable. So we ended up just using Formstack’s native storage on AWS. This has worked flawlessly for a few years. However, Formstack will be adding some security measures which will require additional authentication which will only allow Formstack users to access the files. This won’t work for our purposes and will probably break the existing integration with Zapier. Our options are to go back to using Goo

I have a packing list table and a list of trips, which are linked. I want to be able to add 50+ things to pack to a trip at once. What I can do is select all the things and then paste a linked record of a trip to the linked field. However, once there are already links, such paste will overwrite them. What I want to do is to append a trip to many things to pack at once, without touching existing linked trips per thing. I moved from Notion to Airtable, cause I thought that airtable being more of a dedicated database app would be able to do that, but I’m failing to find such an operation. Am I missing something?

Is there any good workaround to specify a global filter that applies to all shown tables or views? The idea is that a user needs to work with multiple tables/views and applying a filter to each of them (changing customer, for example) is quite cumbersome. Any ideas? The alternative we are using is using a different base for each customer, but that doesn’t seem very efficient and requires to apply changes in multiple bases.

Hi guys, First time using Airtable, been trying to set it up for a nutritionist clinic and I ran into an issue. Hope I can receive some guidance here. I have to tables table1 has user_height, user_weight and user_bmi (calculated based on the height & weight) table 2 has the bmi ranges min_bmi, max_bmi, bmi_status. E.g. min_bmi = 1, max_bmi = 18.49, bmi_status = underweight min_bmi = 18.5, max_bmi = 22.9, bmi_status = normal min_bmi = 23, max_bmi = 27.49, bmi_status = overweight min_bmi = 28, max_bmi = 100, bmi_status = obese In order to retrieve the bmi_status, the calculated bmi needs to fall within the range of min_bmi and max_bmi. How do I join table1 and table2 to get the bmi_status? Is it possible? Expected output: table1: user_id, height, weight, bmi(calculated), bmi_status (extracted from table2)

Hello everyone, More than 3 years ago, we started using airtable to keep track of supplier invoices. We basically enter some invoice-related information and at the end we attach a photo of the invoice. Previously, this was a great solution, but phones are getting better, so our invoice uploads (photos) are getting bigger and bigger. I have spoken with Airtable support and this was their response: “Thanks for writing in! Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to optimize the image size; however, I would recommend using an external source like dropbox and upload the link there to upload it in Airtable for storage space!” We primarily use iPhones and our database now contains more than 1500 records. We use an iPhone app and enter the invoices manually. Opening attachments is slow, so we are trying to find a solution. It would be great if Airtable could have an option to optimize photo attachments, but that isn’t the case at the moment. Could you please share any

If I change the record order in Gallery view - it doesn’t reflect in the original grid view. Why the heck not? e.g. I have these rows: Point #1 Point #2 Point #3 In gallery view I change the order to: Point #1 Point #3 Point #2 When going back to grid view - I still see the original order - #1, #2, #3 Is there something I’m missing? Hi all, I’m facing an issue with a form that I’m trying to embed in my website (wordpress based). As you can see in the screenshot, the form is correctly embedded but does n ot scroll. Even if I set the autosize option, It seems to be blocked to a defined height that I can’t setup.

I’ve seen a few things that are similar but I’m still not getting my formula to work and I’ve tried a lot of different iterations of the formula with no luck. What I’m trying to do Fields: Pos Chg, 6 Mo Pos If Pos Chg < 0 AND 6 Mo Pos < 10 then I want to say “TOP” If Pos Chg > 0 AND 6 Mo Pos < 10 then I want to say “Good” Otherwise blank IF (AND ( {POS chg from Pre-Post} < 0, {POS 6 MO POST} < 10), “TOP”, IF ( {POS 6 MO POST} < 10, “Good”, “”) Any help is greatly appreciated.

Based on Calendar view of birthdays - #27 by Katherine_Duh, I thought I could use a formula for a calendar view. However, it seems like we cannot- which is the case? The use case here is that we have an imported spreadsheet of dates text string format and a user who prefers to see them that way (?). I am happy to manually redo them for now and reversing the formula, but before diving in, want to make sure that’s necessary.

Hi there! I have a base that has several summary blocks included to summarize the data. When I create a shareable link to the base, the apps/blocks in the panel on the right do not show up in the shared link. Does anybody know how to do this? The link below says there should be a “Show apps added to this base” option when creating a shareable link, but I do not see it. I am on the Pro plan so I assume I would have it if it were still available. Airtable Support

I’m trying to update a multiple select field based on info from an api. There’s 30 some values that will either be Yes or blank. If it’s yes, its works fine and puts the correct value, but gives an error if it tries to add nothing to the multi select field. What I’ve tried so far: {{if(206.record.animalDrools = “Yes”; “Drools”; )}} {{if(206.record.animalDrools = “Yes”; “Drools”; null)}} {{if(206.record.animalDrools = “Yes”; “Drools”; emptystring)}} * Doesn’t fail but doesnt leave it completely blank either

Is this possible? It seems like it should be so simple but I can’t figure out how to pass a variable collected on a form onto the next form for the purpose of pre-population??

I have to go to each table to enable or disable Notification. I want to set all notification preferences across all workspace and all bases in multiple workspace from one place. Is there a way to set notification preference at user level from one place for all bases across all workspaces?

Sorry, but Airtable was recommended as a solution to my question in Elementor Community. Can’t find the answer on the site. So here goes. is airtable a database that is a plugin on Wordpress/Elementor sites? I need to create a database of 200 videos that can be sorted by category and level of difficulty. I see the templates here but nowhere do I see how to put that into my site. Not sure if Airtable is my best choice. Thanks

I want only current records to show in a view. There doesn’t seem to be a way to filter for “date created after dateX”, so I figure I can create a field that says “yes” if the date created is after whatever date I put in, then filter on that field. But what would be the formula for saying, "If ‘date created’ is after September 13, “yes”, “no”)? Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m creating a column in a table where I’m concatenating a date field (formula driven), client name and default text. The result of the concatenate is adding an extra day to the formula driven date. Below is the formula and I uploaded an image of the dates reflecting the additional day. Any insight on what’s causing this? It’s so weird! Formula in the concatenate field: CONCATENATE(DATETIME_FORMAT({Monthly Rental Fee Renewal Date},‘MM-DD-YY’)," | “,{Client Name},” | ",“Rental Fee Renewal Date”) Formula in the original date field (correct): DATEADD({Staging Date},32,‘days’) Two screenshots are provided: One with the correct dates and the other with the dates that include an additional day.

How do I add risk management into a project? For example: I have a timeframe, and assign a risk, which gives me a pessimistic and optimistic view of time padded onto the start/end date. I’ve seen this in other tools, where it changes the color, so the center block is assigned, to the left is optimistic, and right is pessimistic.

In the simplest terms possible as I am not an Excel freak…when I export the grid data to a CSV or google sheet, the date and time always comes through like this 2021-09-24T07:30:00.000Z (which originally was input from Adelaiade Australia as 24/9/21 1700). How can I write a formula to seperate 2021-09-24T07:30:00.000Z into 24/09/2021 and 07:30? Any help would be great as this is a huge issue at the moment.

Hi community, I have managed to create a synced table from a Salesforce “Revenue report” that I am going to combine with data from other sources. Part of that report is the revenue number that is listed in USD, but when I look at the synced data in Airtable, it shows up in the local currency, in my case NOK. Somewhere in the sync, the data is converted through a factor or source that I have no control over to the local currency. It is also missing three digits… For example; a 10 000,00 USD deal shows up as NOK 85.00, which should be NOK 85 000,00 (but according to Nordea (A Norwegian bank) it should be NOK 83 690). As we are usually talking about our deals in USD anyway, I was wondering if there is a possibility to disable this conversion from happening?

I have always been able to expand records and print them by using Ctrl P. For the last few days, when I go to this screen, it will only give option to print the first page. The other pages do not show in the print dialog.

Not looking to move to another workspace within the same account. Had been doing collaborative work under one account but due to agreement ending need to separate existing bases under two separate Airtable accounts.
