Tell me it ain’t so… When I’m searching on Airtable homescreen, it will only show results from a Base’s text, which is so limiting. How can I do a global search of content text? Or does it not yet exist?
Hey there. This isn’t really a ‘views’ question but there doesn’t seem to be a category for ‘just Airtable itself’ so it’s the best I could find. Until very recently, pressing Cmd + J to switch tables showed a list of my tables in that view. I could arrow-key up and down to select, and I think even re-order from that view. Now this brings up a search box with No matching tables until I start to search. This is vastly less useful. Was this an update, or is it a bug? Please change it back.
I’m having problems with the pre-created script app to convert URLs to attachments. It worked great this morning, but I went to run it again and the entire script has been stripped to the “Hello World” state. I’ve been trying to re-add it for hours now and if I’m lucky it just leaves me with the infinite spinning loop. If I’m SOL I get the “This page is not responding” popup. I’m used to the latter, as one of the other app blocks does this, but with enough “wait” clicks and patience I can usually get the block to start working (it’s the app to link records, if anyone is curious.) My computer is up to date (I just checked) and I use Edge on a Windows desktop. I also use another computer which is having the same experience. Same set up. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.
Hi there, I have an issue where clients of mine using a form are using the date field to add a time in the past, which errors one of my workflows. Is there a way to only allow them to put future times in? Maybe an error check?
If many devices , like in hundreds fetch Airtable sheet data simultaneously, will there be an error, Or can Airtable handle this.?
Creating a Filtered and Grouped View within a Table Grid View is easy enough - however I’m now stuck with having this fairly simple/straight forward billing summary data stuck in my view - and I have no idea how I can easily/automatically get this summary view of data stamped into a monthly invoice at the end of each month. The below image shows two fairly simple fields, a customer name lookup and a summary of time spent with them per month, in this case just the past months work. But I’ve been unsuccessful in figuring out how to get this summary data out of Airtable and into the hands of those who pay the bills. This wasn’t a big issue when starting out initially, with my time split between only one or two customers. I used Page Designer for capturing the info initially. But the more customers I add to the list per month, the more of a headache this becomes with the many limitations of Page Designer all starting to hit me… As an alternative data source, I thought that perhaps I can s
Hi! I’m trying to get file contents from Dropbox, a reverse operation to the one in this topic: Export Rich Text Field as Markdown - kindly described by Bill French, a way to upload csv data from Airtable scripting app to a Dropbox file I’m using download api method HTTP - Developers - Dropbox > let dropboxEndpoint1 = "https://content.dropboxapi.com/2/files/download" > let dropBoxApiArg = { "path": "/" + currFilename } > let postOptions1 = { > method: "POST", > headers: { > "Authorization" : "Bearer " + appToken, > "Dropbox-API-Arg": JSON.stringify(dropBoxApiArg), > } > } > const postResults1 = await remoteFetchAsync(dropboxEndpoint1, postOptions1); > const jsonPost1 = await postResults1.json() I’m getting a reply like this one below (looks like success), but I can’t understand how to get the file contents from this Dropbox response. “json()” method returns “undefined”. The file is a simple text file and contents is plain te
How to keep track of when was the last time I called this ph number and how many times before I have clicked the call button in the airtable view ?
Hello I am looking for feedback around how the Google Map integration works with Airtable. My goal is to type an address in Airtable, automatically populate the Google Map block in Airtable, then automatically populate a public Google Map embedded on a website. Is this functionality possible?
I have what seems like a very basic and common need for the Page Designer block, but it doesn’t seem possible without some kluge-y workarounds. I just want to confirm my understanding and see how others are addressing this issue. As we all know, from any given view of a table, it’s possible to print that view with all its unique sorting, filtering, column display, and other attributes. This is a quick and easy way to get your sliced-and-diced table into hard copy or PDF for sharing with others, but it has limited formatting capabilities. Helpfully, however, the little print dialog in Airtable tells us we should consider the Page Designer block to create “completely custom print layouts.” This sounds promising, and I have the Pro plan, so let’s go check that out. When I go over to the Page Designer block, I see that I can set up some very nice record-centric views using not only the data from the table I was in, but even other tables linked to the primary table. That’s great, but a
Hi Im New to Airtable, trying to see if this can work for keeping my christmas light business clients organized and make estimates. The client organization is done and working great. What im trying to do now is replicate my estimate excel form I have been using for the longest time. I “Can” make it where all these fields scroll horizontally across the grid view however that is just too much to be able to use it well for imputing the information. If there a way to customize my view for the record that is more graphical where I can lay it out more like this? I have looked at the form view but that won’t do it. I have a lot of experience using file maker pro and that’s mostly graphical view interface, looking to be able to make something like that here. Any help is welcome thanks!
My company email domain was changed and now I can’t log in. I only used google SSO before and now I can’t access my account to change the address to update it so that it works with the new company email. Can someone from AirTable please help? Thank you.
Since Airtable does not have save-state feature and my form is long, I had to move to JotForm for my form builder However upon integrating JotForm into Airtable and in the field mapping process - I found that it does not support passing of Airtable’s linked-fields data to be mapped into JotForm. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?
Can anyone help me work out how I make information un accessible in a particular calendar view? I have virtual training sessions showing in 2 calendars, 1 for the trainer and anther for the client. I want to add the zoom login credentials for the trainer to access them but don’t want the client to be able to see this in their calendar view. I can’t work out how to do this, any suggestions? Thannks :slightly_smiling_face:
I look at the template resources, and couldn’t find it, so wanted to ask the community instead. Is there a sample QUIZ form template that’s available on AT, where there’s an answer key, so once people take the quiz, the score will be automatically for us by AT?
The function of inserting records, shift+enter, is only useful when I put the mouse on the cell. If the mouse is in other places, there is no response when pressing this key combination.
We can duplicate bases in pc, but is it probable in iphone?
Hi, I want a user’s answers populate a template spreadsheet. Airtable form > template Airtable spreadsheet. The user’s unique spreadsheet can’t be seen by anyone else. Is this possible? Or is the purpose of a form solely to gather information for one’s own records? Thanks
I’m sorry if this is not the correct forum to ask this question. The information that gravity forms collects and sends to airtable, is the data that gets sent to Airtable the label or the value in the backend? So if I have A, B, C, and a user selects one or some those options, is it a value (like 5689498 = A) or is it the label “A” “B” or “C” that is actually sent to Airtable? Thank you.
Hi all. We’ve started using airtable this month as a dispatching system for vans. Each of our drivers has their own stack in the Kanban view, but our dispatcher uses the calendar and kanban. The dispatcher is logged in as the primary user, and the drivers share a separate editor account. The trouble starts when our dispatcher organizes the trips for the next day. She goes to the calendar to organize then assigns tomorrow’s trips to the drivers. However, when the drivers log in to fill in information for today’s trips, they see the calendar. When they switch to the kanban, they see tomorrow’s trips. I’ve shown them how to change the filter to show today, but some are not tech savvy and it’s cumbersome as well. How do I make the default view for an account stay permanently on the kanban view with a filter for today? Any input would be very helpful. Thanks, Tony.
Hello~ Airtablers~ Is it possible to set permissions to view and edit only a few specific tables in the base? For example, there are 5 tables in one base, and I want my collaborators to be able to see and edit only one table out of those 5 tables. Is it possible?
Hi all. I am trying to count up how many of each primary value response I have to survey questions without using apps. Each question from the survey has different primary value responses and I want a count of each for each question? Please advise?
Hi – We’re testing out the new matrix block as a way to view a hiring pipeline, with one row per open position, one column for each stage in the recruiting process (phone screen, in person interview, etc), and candidates showing up as cards. The idea seems to work nicely, except that you can only see a few cards in each matrix “cell” because the matrix rows aren’t large/high enough. Unlike regular AirTable views, there doesn’t seem to be an option to make the row height larger or smaller. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Thx, Ramon
I have a table where I need to capture data from a page that has a grid of multiple items. I need to capture the image, title, and URL of each item on that page into airtable. Screenshot: https ://share.getcloudapp.com/5zuyjdpo I’ve set up a base and configured web clipper which targets and fetches the required data using CSS selectors. But the issue is it only fetch the data of the first item only. How to make it fetch all the entries to the airtable? Any hints? TIA, Munir
So we have a member of staff leaving and we need to transfer their bases to me - normally this is nice and easy and the tab has creator, read only, owner etc but the owner button is missing and it says to use the workspace sharing diaglog (I was in the workspace sharing diaglog space at the time) any one any ideas?
