Hi! I’m posting on behalf of a mutual aid group that I help with. We recently shared a bit.ly link to one of our donation forms, and we started getting really racist / violent hate mail from what seems like a bot all morning. We’re unable to connect donors with recipients right now because of this. We created a duplicate form, changed field language slightly, deleted old form, redirected bitly to new form link, but the bot is still running. We tweeted at Airtable, emailed support, sent in tickets, but it’s a holiday weekend. Is there a way to add a captcha to Airtable forms? I have searched the forums on this topic and it seems third party options are available, but when I look at what they have to offer I worry that the integration does not provide enough protection against an injection attack grabbing internal data. If we have a js developer on our team, is that something that could help at this time? Thank you!

Hi all! I am working with a client that is using several different forms in a table, and they want to tag submissions with which form is filled out. In other words, if someone fills out form #1, the record that is created indicated that form #1 was filled out. If form #2 is filled out, then the record indicates that form #2 was filled out, etc. I am sure there is a way to do this, but I can’t figure it out for the life of me! Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I noticed that the Sync Table is treated in the REST API, and the Block APi, as a plain table. But as we know it is not (you cannot mutate on those imported fields). Is there any way we can get some meta data to tell if it’s a sync table / field or a normal one? I did notice that sometimes the externalSyncSource fieldType will show up, but that’s not consistent at all. eg. i don’t understand why only SingleSelect field is changed to externalSyncSource, while everything else is exposed as if it’s normal fields. This seems half-baked unless I’m missing something here.

Hello, I am trying to connect my Airtable with my IOS Contacts, so when there is a new add or I modified something into my airtable, it automatically get updated or added to my IOS contacts. But I am having some troubles with the formula to make that works. Can someone help kindly? Please find screenshot attached.

Is there a built in way to input data other than the standard views, such that it looks like page designer? It’s definitely not page designer that I’m looking for, but imagine if you designed a page using page designer, and you were actually able to input data in that format rather than just view it. That would be amazing! I’m pretty sure this exists, but whenever I ask someone or Google it, it just brings me back to page designer. I think it might have been called “custom input interface,” but I really need to know the real name! Thank you!

Wondering if there is a way to scale the font size to fit the width/height of a given field in Page Designer? I have field names that are quite variable in length and would like to maximize readability by having short field names take up the full width/height while having long field names still fully displayed without being cut off. Thanks for any tricks or tips!

I am trying to create a view based on rooms and multiple items within that room. Is there a way for me to just output the room number once at the top and then the related records for that room beneath? Currently, i have it grouped by room in view, and the records just show up in rows with the room number on each. I have a set of tables with a descending set of relations. Grandparent has children which have children etc. I choose the linked records from a parent record and this stores my order since the ordering is dependent on the parent. When I create a view from the lowest level I want to be able to group by the ancestors and then sort each group by the linked order. I only get options for alphabetical. Is there some other way around this? Can I somehow get a calculation to expose the ordering of the array of linked records?

Was wondering if there was a way (lookup or formula) to display the most recent collaborator comment on a record in a tablef? so for instance, be able to include columns such as: col X: Shows content of the most recent comment made by a collaborator on a specific record col Y: Shows the name of the most recent collaborator comment col Z: Shows the date stamp of the most recent collaborator comment Hope this makes sense Thank you!! Hopefully this is a simple one and I explain this correctly: I have a table of products containing several fields, including: unique product ID and price. (Let’s call this the primary table) I am using the Data Fetcher Airtable app to pull updated product information from an API into a separate table in the same base. (Let’s call this the secondary table). This also contains a unique product ID and price I want to fetch the price in the secondary table and update the relevant price field in the primary table, using the product ID to ensure the correct item is updated. If these were two tabs in Excel, I would just use a vlookup to look up the id and return the price. However I can’t figure out how to get this to work in Airtable. Any advice much appreciated. For info - the two tables do have a name field, containing the name of the product, however the names in the primary & secondary tables don’t always match, so I cannot use this field to matc

Hi, I have a customer order table that includes, customer name, order date, order… etc. I am aware that I can create a CSV file with the fields explicitly shown, however, I would like to create a CSV file just with the customer contact details, name, email, etc which is currently set up as an expanded record field. I need to know how to create a CSV record of the customer details only. I hope that is clear! Thanks

I’m seeking a way to protect from records becoming accidentally unlinked (or at least being able to relink them again). Example scenario: Let’s say table1 in db1 (table1.db1) is synched as table1 in db2 (table1.db2) and table2.db2 is linked to table1.db2. If table1.db1 gets filtered and synch’ed to table1.db2, the missing records will get unlinked in table2.db2. And I see now way to relink them again easily. Hi, I have been asked to track data (think revenue and cost) over time. In the tables where this is calculated, I can easily see what the current revenue is for a project. But I need to get revenue per project at time intervals so it can be graphed. I set up a Summary table where I can write an entry per project and capture the timestamp. I did this simply for proof of concept using a checkbox field. An automation runs if the checkbox is selected, creates the entry in the summary table, then clears the checkbox. But now I need a way to completely automate this without having to select a checkbox. I thought running an automation on a schedule (perhaps once per week) would let me capture the weekly snapshot and write a record to my summary table so that the data can be graphed. But, it doesn’t appear that using the schedule trigger will work. While it will fire exactly when I want it to, I can’t create a “Create record” action to add a record to the su

I have two tables in Airtable. In one table I have a monthly cost field, and 3 date fields, (date of invoice, start period of invoice, end period of invoice). This table tells me how much a customer is paying per month, when they started receiving the service, for how many months they paid, and when the service period ended. In a different table, I have a list of dates with monthly intervals (e.g., Jan 1st 2021, Feb 1st 2021 etc). In that table I want to calculate how many customers in the first table were paying customers on each date, and how much they were paying in total MRR.

I’ve created a simple table to inventory my card supplies. After creating I decided to make changes and combine two columns into one, then I deleted the no longer need rows. I now realize that I should not have deleted the rows but should have left them empty for reuse. My question is…when I want to create a new row is there any way that I can re-use a deleted row ID?

Hi Guys i am trying to show my records of my table on INTUIFACE which i can do with list records, but i need to be able to edit the records live. when i try update record it only shows 2 records not all and when i update a cell it updates them all even if PATCH is used, i delete data from the cell in intuiface so it doesnt change it and it deletes the data also. how do i show a list of all records and be able to edit them and selec each record and its fields to edit like normal

I’m building a database to track uniform assignments for the local high school marching band. I have one table for students, another for the jackets, another for the pants, and so on. In the Students table, I have a field using the link to another record option linking to a jacket. I’ve been careful to make sure to not Allow linking to multiple records. I’ve then gone into the Jackets table, and made sure to not Allow linking to multiple records. What I can still do, however, is assign the same jacket to multiple students. Hey, I am trying to create a hierarchical structure for different projects. To simplify the whole thing let’s say there are 3 Tables: Categories → Project → Tasks I would like to create a hierarchy within the Projects Table. As far as I know, it is not possible to create both-way sync within one table but I was hoping to achieve that with automation. My current automation selects the parent ID and adds the record to the child column. (To be more specific: The automation selects the original record + a lookup of the current child values and writes that in the child column) The problem arises when I change multiple parent records at once. Is there a better way to do that? Ideally, I’d love to recreate the sync both ways option from Notion when linking a table to itself. Thanks for the help already.

I am wondering, if I have an Email address field inside a restricted email domain form (which requires a user to log in - Pro Plan feature), is it possible to prefill the Email address field inside the form with the user’s email? Is there a way to access it so it can be prefilled within the URL already? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I want to write a formula that will return ‘Yes’ if a record has been modified before a specific time of day. I have my team ticking a checkbox, which if checked before a certain time will mean a yes result. If the tick box is ticked after that time the result is no. I’m using the ‘last modified time’ field type as the time stamp to use in the formula I tried Is_Before with TimeSTR but not sure about how to specify the deadline time. Any thoughts?

I have a simple table with Attendance columns by date. 5/21 5/22 etc. I have secondary grid that limits the view 1 date at a time. My goal is to have a student take attendance at the door on an ipad. However, when I test, when ever I try to click on the check box for marking present, it opens the entire record and the recorder has to scroll to find the current date. It is not hiding the fields I don’t want them to see. What are my options. This works perfectly on the Desktop, but need this to be portable. EDIT: Upon research, it looks like hiding in the expanded view isn’t possible on the app. SO…What about not opening the record and just editing in Grid view on the app?

When i disable “Allow viewers to copy the data in this base” or “Allow viewers to copy data out of this view” and try to copy the data. If I copy a batch of cells i receive “Sorry, the table’s owner has disabled copying” but if it is still possible to copy one individual cell. Is there anyway to disable copying one individual cell?
