Is there any way to speed up the deduping process? My goal is to see “customers” and their “purchases” since my last audit. Here’s my scenario: I have a table of “customers” that are linked to their “purchases” in another table At the end of every month, I receive an automated report of 6k+ users or “customers” that are “active.” I need to show only those customers and their purchases. I’ve tried to use the dedupe block but it seems time-consuming to merge over 6,000 records. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Kim
I want to be able to have someone put in two dates and have a list of dates that are holidays and then for a formula to tell me their is 1 or 2 or etc holidays between the two dates you picked. i cant figure it out.
I use sorting and filtering a lot but am not too happy with it. It feels quite manual. I use vim and keyboard shortcuts often so anything to do with the mouse annoys me. I feel like airtable would be amazing if it had some sort of launch controller to do many popular tasks, like sorting and filtering. I threw together a design of what this could look like here, just hit space bar to go to the next image: Figma Do you guys use sort and filter a lot, or am I the only one?
The grid view on an iPad is unusable, since the “Task” column only shows about 15 characters and truncates the rest without the ability to expand the column width in the view. Are there any plans to address this?
I automatically have email communications imported into the client’s record by using a program called Gustermail. For a short time the company was out of business and I had to use Zapier to set up the automation. It really messed up my files and instead of adding the new emails into the designated email log section of the client record, it created a brand new record for each new email. I want to run Dupe, but it doesn’t allow me to add data from multiple records without over-riding the existing data. For example: Jane Doe and I emailed 6 times. So Jane Do has 6 records in my Client Base, each with a different email message in the Email Log section I created. When Dupe App finds Jane Doe’s records, it asks me to make one of the records primary, which works fine. But after that I can only choose one email log section to merge into the primary record and I have to delete all the other emails. I’d like to merge it so that I can select multiple “email logs” to add in to one location rather
Hi Experts, I am trying to create multiple child records from a parent record and came arcross an existing script in the forums and updated it to suit my needs. My aim is to ask user for the parent table, child table, link field and for each link field add the user inputted no of entries into the child table. Where I am stuck is that for each entry I want to add and increment the Date as entered by user. What I am finding is that in the below code when the recor actually gets created the date for all records is created as the latest value of startdate instead of incrementally changing for each record of the linked field: /** Copyright 2020 Bocoup Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the “Software”), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit
Hey, I’m a non-programmer trying to wet my feet with a Landbot integration to Airbase. My webhook call from Landbot is working for every field except the “Contact” field which is linked to a field in a different table: {"fields": { "Status":"New", "Notes":"@notes", "Mortgage Type":"@mortgagetype", "New Purchase Price":"@purchaseprice", "Downpayment":"@purchasedownpayment", "Transfer Amount":"@propertyprincipal", "Equity Take Out Amount":"@equitytakeoutamount", "HELOC Amount":"@heloclimit", "Own Home":"@ownhome", "Current Home Value":"@propertyvalue", "Remaining Mortgage":"@propertyprincipal", "Monthly Mortgage Payments":"@propertymortgagepayments", "Monthly Property Taxes":"@propertytaxes", "Monthly Maintenance Fees":"@propertymaintenance", "Monthly Rent":"@monthlyrent", "Household Income":"@householdincome", "Household Debt":"@householddebt", "Household Debt Payments":"@householddebtpayments", "Contact":[
Hello, I’m trying to create a map that show every stadiums in a district. I installed, and configured the MAP, without worries. I created a column with the GPS coordinates of all the stadiums. The problem is that the map only shows half of the stadiums. All the GPS addresses are good, double checked, and in the same format. Anyone would know why map refuses to show half of the stadiums ? Thank you very much for your sup port, which is much appreciated. And happy new year!
Hi My forms shows Warning: potentially risky form how to clear it no help from airtable so far
Community: I don’t have any times associated with my records, only dates, and I can sort them manually in all views except the Calendar view. I don’t have any pre-sorting turned on. What am I doing wrong/overlooking? Thanks for your assistance!
Greetings, I am using the Gannt app, would like to set up a project table in which the records build upon each other according to dependencies; e.g.: Start date of record 2 is based on end of record 1. End date of record 2 is based on start date + duration. Then start date of record 3 is based on end date of record 2, etc. I have succeeded in getting the end date for a single record to calculate based on start date + duration. However, I am stumped in trying to get the start date for the next record to react to end date from a previous record. My thought was to use my dependency column, but using a formula such as “WORKDAY({Name (from Dependency)}, {Duration}” gives me an error “Can’t save field because it causes a circular reference”. Any ideas for a solution? Many Thanks! Tommy
Is there an easy way to pull the data from a specific field in a related table? So far, it doesn’t seem so. Let’s say I want to use a dollar value from an assets table and use it in a another table to add the amount to another asset? Or say to look up an amount balance in an accounts table so when I purchase an item I can subtract that amount in a purchases table? Ideally the amounts would be calculated/updated in their original tables. It seems I can only access the name of the table in the related record. Thanks for any thoughts.
When one person had entered the data, the other person cannot see the information in the same colume on his own screen while collaboration is any solution ?
Hi! I have a table called “Initiatives” - each “Initiative” has a multi-select for 50 states. I would like to generate a new row in a table called “Tasks” for each state selected for an Initiative. Example: INITIATIVES TABLE Row 1: Initiative A | NY, NJ, PA TASKS TABLE Row 1: Initiative A - NY Row 2: Initiative B - NJ Row 3: Initiative C - PA Is this possible? I’ve tried using Automations but unfortunately I need to be able to do this for up to 50 states, and the limit of 25 Automations prevents that. Thanks in advance!
Hi, Hoping someone can help me with a best practice for the following scenario. I use Integromat for a lot of my business’ automation and I am happy to use it if it’s the best way. Personally I can’t write script/code but I am happy to attempt to google and learn what I need (then finally accept that I need a professional lol) I want to utilise Airtable to assist our HR processes & staff data base management with another staff data base for a particular type of employee. My goal is to bring applicant details into a basic recruitment base to manage the application process. Then I would like to automatically copy successful applicants to a staff database table. This table will have additional fields for all of the staff details as well as a link to their google drive folder which will have all of their sensitive information. I then would like to have a separate base which will be for certain staff (conditional on ‘Employee Type Field’) like Casual, Volunteer, Intern which is for anot
I have a multiple select field that contains currency per time — Example: “$5/month”"$200/year" “$12/month”"$116/year" “$9/month”"$89/year""$300/year" Most records have two values, some have three values. I’m trying to split these multiple-choice entries into different fields and have them be currency fields so I can look at averages, etc. Any suggestions?
Is there a limit to the number of items in multi-selection field in airtable? For example, I am wondering if I can make 1,000 or 10,000 items?
How can I invite by link to base and disallow to download video file ?
I am trying to perform a sort of Audit on a database I am managing. Is there any tool that will export or summarize how may tables I have, views I have, fields used, etc… A sort of audit or data summary tool? Anything is helpful.
Hi all. I was wondering, is there a script or formula that would allow me to configure the Airtable calendar so that when a user selects an option, it highlights dates that are acceptable for that selection? For instance: Single Select options: Bronx Manhattan Staten Island Brooklyn Queens Outside NY When Bronx is selected, only Mondays are available on the calendar When Staten Island is selected, only Tuesdays and Thursdays are available on the calendar When Brooklyn is selected, only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are available Etc… If this isn’t possible, are there any free options that can help me? Thanks.
Hello! I’m very new to Airtable, so apologies if this question is not the most intelligent. I have set up the map app and would like to embed it into a website. Is this possible? I would like it to be interactive, for example if a location is clicked it will pull up the Airtable data for that location. Thank you!
How can I expand form search details? When I am creating a form I can see all the details that I want the user to see but on production they dont show, why is this happening and how to fix to allow details to appear?
Hi there, Merry Christmas all! I’m very new to Airtable and all databases in fact! I’ve linked Airtable up to Jotform to collect information about customers when they complete an online survey. This information is likely to include a couple (perhaps more) of different segments. Let’s say; personal details and basic financial information. I’m trying to figure out a way to segment this within Airtable but still keep in the same record for transfer to Google sheets. I’m trying to avoid having a huge number of columns across one “tab” (excuse my use of spreadsheeet terminology) Is there a way I can create a second tab and store this information there but ensure that “row” 1 of each tab is linked to the same person. So when I look to link the data collected up with CRM & Sheets it knows this. A follow up to this would be that after this initial data is collected I would the like to go on and send a second (more detailed) financial questionnaire to customers. This might require a 3rd “t
I’m struggling to find a way to do this and not even sure if it’s possible with Airtable app and can’t seem to replicate the “right-click” on Desktop Version on Safari (iPhone) either. Any ideas?
What Airtable functions can I use to create fields that allow you to select from a list of records, but only allow you to select records that haven’t been selected by other fields on the same Table? Use: I am a meeting planner. I would like to input the names of meeting rooms that are available. I would like to be able to assign a meeting room to a record. In order to not double-book a meeting room, I would only like rooms that have not already been selected (booked) to be selectable options within a record. My initial thinking is that I would create a Table, wherein each meeting room has its own record and that those records are referenced from another table as selectable. Perhaps a second table and links are not appropriate and it is better to create some sort of single select or multi select fields. I should mention that ideally, a single record would be able to select multiple rooms, since some of our rooms can be physically joined to create larger rooms. For example: If Reco
