I currently have table from partner’s bases synced to my base. For some reason that we can’t work on same base. My ultimate goal is has a table can sync and update records from partner’s base and I also can add new records from my team. 'Cause I can’t add new records at original sync table so I think about create a new table can update all records from original sync table. But I can’t figure how it work.
Is there was a script I can use to erase all attachments in an attachment field with the click of a button or even with an automation?
I’ve read many posts where the issue is making auto-filled forms read-only. I have the opposite need: making then editable - I’m getting a form messages saying forms with private links only are editable when empty. I’m on the pro plan and the form uses a read-only view having a private link with a clickable URL button which opens the auto-filled form in read-only. I’d prefer to do this within AT using no external apps. Can this done, and if so what am I doing incorrectly. Thank you.
I have a base that includes a table (“table 1”) that contains links to a second table (“table 2”) that is synced to another base. The links in table 1 were cleared automatically. The history says “Table Sync updated this record”. I can’t figure out why this happened. Furthermore, I’ve shared table 1 with someone else and they can still see all the links. The links are cleared in my view, but not cleared in their view. This sounds like a bug to me. Can anyone explain what is going on and how I can get my data back? Thanks.
Hey all! I run a philanthropy/product brand in Montreal Canada. I have recently been using Airtable to build-out bases that correspond to different functional units of my company. The only thing missing for us is a task manager. I know there are simple to-do list templates offered by Airtable but none of them are having similar logging functions to Salesforce’s task management. I was hoping to create a task manager that can log tasks, notes, a specific contact from our CRM, and most importantly a date-log. I would like to be able to assign future dates to certain tasks so that when my employees and I come into work every day we can just look at “today’s tasks”. This would also be useful to view in an “upcoming tasks” and “past due tasks” view. Thanks in advance!!!
Hi people :slightly_smiling_face: I have quite a few automations running in my base and this is nothing that interests me in the revision history. Every time I want to check who has been updating a record, I have to work through a lot of automation-information in the history. Is there a way to exclude the automations in the revision history or to only include real creators? Thanks for help!
If you have ever wanted to run SQL queries on Airtable, like I have, then take a look at ZapQuery. Full disclosure, I created it, but it has a free mode and I would appreciate some feedback about whether it’s useful or not to anyone who is running Airtable for their business like we are. zapquery.com Home Page - ZapQuery Basically it allows you to run SQL on your airtable bases as if you were writing queries on SQL Server. You can join tables, sum, all the stuff you would want to do in SQL. It’s good for making reports. I used it to run reports and pipe it into zapier and email/text myself what’s happening in the data. It’s a great way to kind of build a mobile reporting system for your business and know what’s happening. For now, our zapier integration isn’t live because we don’t have enough running zaps, so if you want to pipe your query output into zapier, just email me @ support@zapquery.com and I will invite you with your email. Hello, community! May be you can help to resolve my task. We have a 2 simple tables: Clients. (with Form1 for new clients) Orders – with ClientID linked field. – with Package (regular/premium single select) Now our new clients are filling the Form1 and after that we are creating manually a new Order in Orders table with this client. I want clients to fill out Form1, select a Package type and create a record in both the Clients table and the Orders Table. How to do it? Need to use third-party add-ons like miniextensions or something else?
Hello, I need help to calculate the start date of the next season based on 'today’s date and a given ‘month’ for the season start. e.g. If Today() = 2 December 2020 And Season Start = “August” (using a select field) The formula should calculate to 1 August 2021 If Today() = 31 July 2021 And Season Start = “August” The formula should still calculate to 1 August 2021 Thanks in advance!!
I have an automation that utilizes a script to update records. I needed to update the code and did so easily but now a message is showing that says “update this automation” with an update button next to it. Nothing happens when i click it. Am i missing something? thank you!
The Gantt PDF export defaults to Letter size paper. When printing from PDF to other sizes lots of space is unused. It would be preferred to be able to choose the paper size and margins when exporting so as to maximize the printing area. Thanks.
Hello, I’m using airtable to track software, on servers, in locations. I have a table setup for locations, that are linked to servers in the servers table. And the software table is linked to the server table. So software on server, in location. Is there a way that Airtable can dynamically create a lineage view so that when I put in the name of the software, it will link to the server and then the location. Or putting in the name of a location and getting the servers, and then software that’s associated? The goal of this would be for maintenance activities at any level, we’ll know what’s affected and can notify the proper location/software/server owners. TIA
I’m not good with formulas. Can I get some quick help, please? This formula… ({Material Length}/{Product Length})/{Purchase Cost} With these values in their respective columns… Material Length - 48 Product Length - 16 Purchase Cost - $39.99 Gives me a cost per product result of… $.08 The result should be $13.33. What am I doing wrong?
I would like to invite Customer contacts to base (projects) where we actively collaborate with them from the first day they have signed the contract.
I want to build an app that can handle incoming HTTPS requests from webhooks. Would it be possible to set up an express server in the app so that any requests to my app_url.com/api get processed by my app? The use case is, a webhook sends a request to the app, the app then updates rows within my airtable base.
Our Marketing team of 10 has been using Airtable for the past year. I am the Airtable “admin” on the team but am struggling a little bit on ways to streamline the instance I have built out. We have a lot of information in our instance that was built out for all different needs of the marketing org (content, design, product, regional, MOPS). It just feels a little over saturated and I welcome any help or suggestions to streamline. Hi There, I have a date field (name = Contract Start) with a simple dd/mm/yy. In a new field (name= Order Date), I would like a formula to create a date that is six weeks prior to the date in the ‘Contract Start’ field. I have tried this: DATEADD(Contract Start,-6,‘week’), but not working. When building the formula, the system offers the {Contract Start}, which I have also tried, and also did not work. I’m hoping that someone is able to correct my error. Many Thanks Rob
Pretty new here so forgive me if this is an obvious question! In Excel, I have the option to filter a column to show a certain subset of entries - e.g. I can click on the filter button on the column header, and view checkboxes for every single type of entry in that column. (e.g. if the column is full of Apple, Orange, Kiwi, etc., I could select to see only the records with Apple OR Orange in that column). In Airtable, this seems much less intuitive - I can manually type in filters, but a) typing each entry is slower than simply going down the dropdown / checkbox list and selecting which values I want to display, and b) forces me to manually remember or find I might want to filter for, instead of having a list presented to me. Additionally, if I want to filter multiple columns this way, the whole AND/OR filter list becomes confusing to work with. (e.g. am I filtering for: (Column A is Apple OR Column A is Orange) AND Column B is Aeroplane or Column A is Apple OR (Column A is Orange AND
I have a Google Form that is pulling records into a table using automation. Once we’ve reached out to those people, we archive them with a checkbox. However, it’s gotten to the point where it’s hard to sort through the archived and ones we still need to contact. I’m using a script to create an automation where once the archived checkbox is checked, the record will be deleted off the existing table and moved to an “archive” table. My problem is that it’s throwing an error code for any field that has preset answers (multiple select or dropdown). I am still new to Airtable scripting so I’m struggling! ERROR CODE: Error: Field “Who are you interested in booking an appointment with?” cannot accept the provided value. at main on line 6 CODE: let table1 = base.getTable(“Referral Calls copy”); let table2 = base.getTable(“Archive”); let result = await table1.selectRecordsAsync(); for (let record of result.records) { if (record.getCellValue(“Archived”)) { await table2.createRecordsAsync([ { fiel
I manage a dataset with each row representing dates and several columns with times. In this dataset, I really don’t need ‘dates’ in the field but have to use ‘date’ format. Is there a format or formula or anything else that I don’t need to enter date every time?
Hi guys! I looked through several threads that were also trying to find COUNTIF workarounds, but none really matched the use case I have, so I’m hoping to find some help. We use Airtable to manage a large editorial team and content calendar. We have our main editorial table with our content roadmap and weekly assignments. My colleague who manages our freelance writer network has created a separate table with information about all of our freelancers including their names, contact info, assignment capacity, area of expertise, etc. She is wanting to find a way to count all active assignments assigned to a particular freelancer and pull that number from our main editorial table into her freelancer table. Is this possible? I can easily find the assignment count of each freelancer within our main editorial board, but can’t figure out a way to get that count to show up on the other table. Right now she is manually counting and putting that number in there as plain text. I’m attaching screensh
I have seen how to hide fields and create personal views and locked views but I did not understand how to make some attributes (columns) of a table visible only to one user. These attributes are not to be seen by other users. For example, with the maintenance table I would like to hide the “expected cost” field from the operators and see it only I who am the owner. Can you help me please Thank you very much
I’m trying to see if there is an ability to lock a task/table for individuals. Basically, we are providing courses and the next levels (with the content) need to be locked until they’ve completed courses/tasks…
Hello, I have text that I would like to paste text into a table. I’d like each line of text to get split across two columns. I know that I could probably get to this to work with a CSV import but I’m wondering if there’s a way to get the result I want with copy/paste. Here’s an example of the text I would be pasting: Line 1, Another boring day in the ocean. Line 3, Another boring day in the ocean, SIR! Here’s how I would like it to appear in a table: Here’s how it actually appears in a table when I paste it: I would either like the paste function to recognize the , and split the text into two cells at the comma (like a CSV import would do). Or I would like to paste the text then highlight column A and split the text at the comma into two columns. Are either of these things possible?
