Hi Guys, I’m new to Airtable. I recently created a linked table where based on the code it will look up on the second table for a zone. so Centre Country is a formula referring to Centre cut and then I made it as a link to the Zone table Zone is the Value I return from the Zone table It works if I manually type the data in the Centre Country but I want it to automatically refer to the Centre cut and then pull the zone number. Every time a new value comes it doesn’t update. I know I can create an automation to update but is there a way to do without creating automation or using any integrations?

So I have a bunch of projects, in excess of 15. Most of them run for 3-6 months at a time. I want to be able to track gear used on projects and see how much gear I need on upcoming projects. If I enter a new project I enter the start and end date. I use a Gantt to see a global timeline of all my projects, which is nice, but I want to be able to basically go, lets check on November, see how many projects we have, how much gear/operators we may need. The problem is as I have many overlapping projects in November, and only a Start/End date…how do I basically be able to group by month? I tried to create hidden fields for each month, and a formula to determine if the date range for a project included that month, and if it did then I could at least easily count the projects I have for a given month, but certainly there has to be an easier way to do this…? Maybe I’m just overthinking?

Just lost 12,678 records. So, um, how many records can Airtable handle? I thought it was 50,000 for my pro plan. But I had 26,000 going and when I added a sixth field for price, 12,678 disappeared. Using the snapshot took me to someplace where my books are suddenly sorted by publisher when I need them kept in the order they were inputted so I can add the book id numbers my dad assigned to each book in what seems to me a random manner. I think I need to just breathe right now and admit to myself that all the frantic proofreading I did on Airtable for a week (on 8,000+ records) is gone. I’ll have to start again. Maybe I’m venting more than I’m asking a question. Can anyone commiserate?

Hey good afternoon, I wanted to create a view that gives me all the records from the Current Month and Current Day in history. So today being October 28, 2020, I want to be able to dynamically pull all the previous years for October 28th. I am sure I could add a month field and a day field and manually change them everyday as a filter in my view but wasn’t sure if there was anyway to dynamically pull the current date to get the historical values for the current date. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hey! We have created a long list of records and manually edited the order. Now it is only showing from First to Last. How can we go back to view the records by the order we gave them instead of the order of creation? Thank you,

I am able to share my base with other members in Airtable just for viewing the base table. Now I need to share this base with a person in China. Can a person in China access airtable? I think not so the question is how to I share a base ( with attachments) to teh person in china most effectively. I can export to xls but does not capture the attachments, so need to download manually. I will keep trying options, any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone My question is can you use Page Designer to design different page layouts for Use within the same base? Eg. I want to issue invoices direct from AirTable. I have sorted that ok and everything is going well so far. Is there a way I can use Page Designer to be able to use the same table as I use for my invoice design to print Say a list of clients overdue invoices or something similar while using the same set of data that my invoices page design is based on?

Hello! Here is the current situation: There is a JotForm used to collect submissions. Each submission will generate a PDF of the submission. My JotForm is also integrated with Airtable. Each submission in JotForm will generate a new record in Airtable. I have an integration with JotForm and Google Drive. Each submission made in JotForm will generate a folder in Google Drive which will contain all attachments as well as the PDF. I would like to have the PDF added to an Attachments column in Airtable. Is something like this possible? Or would I have to manually upload the documents myself for each record?

So I’m running for office. I have my voter database in here. I need to weed out all the voters who have already voted via mail/dropbox. I have the unique voter id number of everyone who has voted and have that as a field in my main spreadsheet. How do I weed those out so that I’m left with just the folks who haven’t voted yet?

Hi there - I have a table where users are taking an attempt or two at a form. I am wanting to first have the script ask for the email to look up which works fine. I am then wanting to have the script choose which ‘attempt’ they would like to do the calculations on. I am having trouble filtering so that I can keep the ID and then push that to another ‘results’ table and still be linked. I can add code but it’s a bit messy and filtering based on text and not maintaining the integrity of the id to relink it. Part 2 Bonus points: I am wanting to create a button text or record so that when prompting, the date and /or session is given. Any suggestions are appreciated.

When I pull data fields from Airtable with Zapier for an eSignature application, the number formatting does not stay consistent. I do not have this issue when pulling data from google sheets with Zapier. For Example: “100%” turns into “1”. “3.0%” turns into “0.03” “$147.64” turns into “147.6444372” I may need future assistance with Airtable development for business application. Thank you in advance. I’m using AirTable to track participants in a series of trainings. They will write sample test questions (using a template) as part of this training; sample questions are reviewed and feedback provided, then they revise and resubmit. Previously they’ve done this in Word docs with renaming and uploading to an FTP etc. etc. but I am sure there’s an app that could make integrating this with their records in AirTable automatic. My initial searches have come up empty, however. The system has to be more secure than say Google docs. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I would like to select a message in Slack and turn it into a new record in a table. (1) If the message has a hashtag like #company: IBM, I would like that to get mapped to the company field in the record. and/or (2) Can I get a little pop up next to the selected message where I can populate the record fields and send it to Airtable? I’m attempting to embed an Airtable into my Squarespace website. It works and looks great on desktop! However, it doesn’t convert to cards on mobile as it shows on the embed page on the Airtable site. Do I need to do something special to have an Airtable appear as a grid on desktop and as a card on mobile?

I’ve imported some data to a new table - it’s a subset of the data we have already - but with additional information - an ‘hours rounded’ field… I want to add the ‘hours rounded’ to the main table. I’ve created a linked field to the imported table I’ve created a look up field that is pointing to the ‘hours rounded’ I cannot seem to make the lookup retrieve the time data… what do i need to do?
