For some of the projects I’m doing right now, there’s a lot of data entry work. Some of the records have multiple records with very similar entries. It’s much easier for me to read them as a column, rather than a row. However, for some reason, Airtable by default makes records stack vertically as rows. Is there any way to switch this up?

When i tried to connect account between airtable and google sheet. I failed and got some authorize errors when call back from google.(something broke) I got google’s permission but not airtable.

Hi there, I’m attempting to display dates from some contacts that are associated with lookup values coming from an event table, but apparently, the calendar view doesn’t read the format coming from the lookup value field. Let’s say I have musicians or artists, and one musician can play at multiple events. I’d like to showcase in a calendar view the dates confirmed of those musicians. Is this possible? Sharing some pics to better explain my issue. Appreciate some help on this! Thank you = )

Hey - I am currently looking to figure out an email integration issue and couldn’t find anything in previous community discussions. Maybe I was articulating my searches wrong, feel free to point me to the right post if I missed it. What I’m trying to do with my project management workspace is the below: I have a list of multiple projects in my workspace Each project has an “Overview” template attachment (a 1-2 page description) My team and I have to email this template around at times, but we like to customize it a bit when we do (ie: the template is just the “bones” of the email that we add to) Is there a way to integrate this attachment field with our Outlook, so that when we download it it’ll pop into a new message / draft that we can then edit? I have a base in Airtable already set up that has several tables. One of the tables is my “Contacts” table. I have some additional contacts in some other places and I wanted to import them into this ‘Contacts’ table. So I imported a spreadsheet from a CSV file. The problem is that when I imported the spreadsheet it showed up in my base as ANOTHER table called ‘Imported Table’. Now, I can’t figure out how to add the contacts from my ‘Imported Table’ table into my contacts table. What I am missing here?? #AirtableLoser

When I try to convert a # field to a % field, Airtable adds like two decimal points - any idea why and how to undo this?

I’ve created a scenario in Integromat that watches for files to be added to a specific folder. The idea is that when a file is added, it will trigger the scenario which will add the file to a Table in airtable. Dropbox recognizes the file, it then downloads the file from dropbox. But when it goes to create the record in airtable, it comes back with an error. Here are some screenshots of the progression: This shows that data is coming through the dropbox scenario. However, this is what it looks like when I try to configure the airtable operation to add the file as an attachment. This shows that when the scenario is run, the dropbox listener and the dropbox file download work.

I’m new to using ‘Customer Development CRM’ from ‘Sales & Customers’ section of templates and have an issue. I see the example linked interviews but can not figure out how to add new interview events. Please help Add new record - makes new record with #ERROR! in first (customer) field.

Hi, I have a shared Form secured with email domain (so auth is needed to access it). I would like to initialize a field with the email of the logged user. I created an automation, I’m able to modify a value of the created record but the object session is null : “ReferenceError: session is not defined”. Any idea on how to achieve this ?

I am referring to data in 2 linked tables. The base design record presents the correct data - but the following pages show the change in records, and the hard data typed on the page & borders, but not the data in the tables. What gives? Ronald Hufham

I was trying to create a view that would show “My Tasks” on a “Tasks” table. For this to work for any collaborator, I would need to be able to set a filter for tasks where the “Assignee” is “Me” and not my explicit name. Since I could not find anything about this, I assume there is a workaround for this. I would love to know.

Hey folks, I have what I have to assume is a silly problem but I’m still stuck. Here’s what I’m trying to do I have a table with Users (Table: “Users_Table”) and various characteristics One of the characteristics is “Favorite Foods” (A multiple select). So Jane, a user, can have the entities “Pot Pie”, “Chocolate Cake” in her Favorite Foods column Meanwhile, another table is “Table_of_Foods” with their ingredients (Food_Name is the Primary field on that table) and the Ingredients_List column is a multiple select The Food_Name “Chocolate Cake” has these entities in the Ingredients_List: Chocolate, Butter, Sugar; and the item “Pot Pie” has: Chicken, Butter, Carrots Now, what I’m trying to do here is have a column over in Users_Table that has Ingredients_Allowed where I am rolling up all the ingredients that I know my users can eat, since they are components of their favorite items: “Pot Pie”, “Chocolate Cake” in the “Favorite Foods” column.

Is there a way to take notes on a client that is timestamped, and lasts for longer than a year? The only two options I see are Long Text, which doesn’t timestamp or put last note first, and adding a comment, which doesn’t have any formatting and doesn’t last more than a year. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I need to combine information from other bases into a new base. Is it possible to copy a single table from one base to another base?

Hi, I have a multi-select dropdown question inside an Airtable form. It lets users select the attributes of a trip (beach, winter, ect.) Is it possible to push a hidden value into the Airtable grid instead of the visible text? For example, if someone clicks ‘Mountains’ the cell shows 512352. I was thinking the substitute equation might work but didn’t have success when multiple attributes were selected. Thank you!

I have a formula field that combines 2 separate lookup fields with email addresses together. When I use the formula field that combines all email addresses as my email recipients in the Sendgrid APP, instead of sending a single email to all the recipients, it sends emails to each individual separately. How can I structure the field so that a single email is sent to all recipients? Formula used in the combined field: IF({Field 1}=BLANK(), {Field 2}, IF({Field 2}=BLANK(),{Field 1},{Field 1} & ", " & {Field 2}))

What does it mean “Synced tables update method”? For example, if my main table is in “PRO WORKSPACE” and synced table in “FREE WORKSPACE”, will my synced table updated automatically? In contrast, if my main table is in “FREE WORKSPACE” and synced table in “PRO WORKSPACE”, will it work automatically? Thanks for any input!

Today my scripting app stopped working and is now giving an error. “L: linkedRecordIds” The issue is when pulling in records. I tried creating a separate scripting app with these three lines: let table = base.getTable('Products'); let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync(); output.table(query.records); I am still getting the same error. Is there something wrong with the table itself? It seems any table with records that are linked to Programs give the same error while tables that aren’t are completely fine.

Hey there, I just started using Airtable today and want to go ballistic :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: I have two tables Availability with a customer, number field (w), number field (max) [customer: “username”; kw: 6, max: 42] Tasks with several fields, but specific also customer, number field (kw), number field (value), [customer: “username”; kw: 6; value: 4] My Goal: I want to populate with a complex lookup like - ((<Tasks.value>/<Availability.max>)*100) WHERE (<Availability.customer> = <Tasks.customer> AND <Availability.w> = <Tasks.kw>) So basically, I want to see how much percent of max Availability for a specific customer is a single Task taking up. Any Idea how to solve this? (Which plan is needed?)

When printing from my Mac computer from the page designer app, my page prints exactly as I’ve designed it with a font weight of 500. But when I print the same page from a PC (but on the exact same printer), my page’s text prints as though the font weight has suddenly been changed to 100. It is very faint. This happens on two different PC’s, but not on my Mac. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a table where I have calculated dates using a formula so many days from another field. This is an if statement because there are different situations. I have used the datetime format so it is a date. IF({Campaign Class}=‘Minor’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-98,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),IF({Campaign Class}=‘Small’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-154,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),IF({Campaign Class}=‘Medium’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-210,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),IF({Campaign Class}=‘Large’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-238,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),“TBA”)))) Issue us when I try and use this date to populate a gannt chart it says it is not recognizing this as a date.
