I’d like to strip the domain from the email address. It can be done with RIGHT, LEN, and FIND in Excel but I’m having trouble translating it to Airtable. Can anyone help?

When restricting a share and requiring a password, does the user need to enter the password once, and that user is remembered as “authenticated”, or do they need to enter the password upon every visit? (I’m embedding the view into a web page)

Hello, does anyone know how i can view the line items/response entries in data form? We sent out a survey via airtable and want to analyze the summary for each question. Ideally we want to see the percentage of each response. Similar to how Survey Monkey shows us the percentage and the number of people that made that selection. Ex: 50 people out of 100 said “yes” 50% etc. Is there a way we can view these numbers in airtable?

I added some people to my worspace but they don’t appears in my column “collaborators”, in this column the unique option to add is me (creator of table). How I can put enable my collaborators?

We are having a problem sending rows of data to a couple clients. This works in all instances except for two cases: In one case, we send 1 or more rows (right-click on the row and choose send all selected records. We select the “send a copy to myself” option. For one client, they do not receive the email and we do not get the copy. For a different client, we get the copy that we requested but they do not get their copy. In this case, I forward the email that came to me, to them, and it gets there no problem. Both clients claim they have no filters or blocks on the airtable or our domain. They fact that we do not get the requested copy in once instances is very odd. Even if the client was blocking and/or filtering those emails, I should receive my copy. Has anyone run into anything like this? Thanks, Matthew Moran

Hello, I had changed the “Edit Field Permissions” to “Specific Users”, because I did not want people changing information in a specific column. Unfortunately, it seems like it restricted people from making any changes to the entire table, so I changed it back to editors and up. My co-workers are still have problems making changes to the table, like moving columns or rows around. They were not having this problem prior to changing the “Edit Field Permissions.” What could be the problem?

When I have recently shared a view (with commenter access) to one of my personal email addresses, the first time I click on the link it takes me to the view I want to share. The second time I click on the link sent, it opens up my whole workspace with access. What am I doing wrong?

I am creating a catalog of sheet music for some musical groups I play in. It has a main table with all the usual information to be expected (title, composer, arranger, etc.) plus some additional info, such as alias names and associated works or titles. All the information is either directly stored in the table, or is in a linked table (composers and arrangers, for example). The alias and associated works are useful. Some examples of these associations are: The title, “It’s the Hard Knock Life”, also has an entry in the associated works field indicating that it is associated with “Annie”. The title “Ukrainian Bell Carol” has an alias entry as “Carol of the Bells”. The “Hallelujah Chorus” has an associated entry indicating it is part of the oratorio “Messiah”. Hello, I have started using Airtable recently and I find it quite useful. I am trying to create a structure as below: Company [All the companies that I worked/work with] ==> Project [All the projects that I have worked/working] ====> Tasks [All the tasks for different projects] To achieve the relation, I have used ‘Link to another record’ field type. I am able to relate Company table with Project, Project table with Tasks. On the Tasks table I am able to see the Project they are associated with, but on the Tasks table, I am not able to display the Company associated with the project for which the tasks are. Can you please guide me how I can establish this structure?

I’m capturing some insights from a focus group and I have columns representing the participants. I want to add tags for each insight, but I’d like to reduce the number of columns needed to accomplish this. Is there a way I can add the multiple select field type feature to long text fields? Thanks!

Hello! I’m trying to figure out how to get a copy of a user’s (the person filling out the form) submission automatically emailed back to them after they’ve completed a form. IE: when you make a purchase online and your receive notification via email that your order has been placed and it lists the items you’ve purchased. Is thing a thing or some thing airtable doesn’t offer yet? I’ve searched all over the help site and haven’t found anything. Thanks in advance!

Is there some way to create code that is shared between multiple scripting blocks? Either by external import from some source, or a native solution? Example: I have a function addClientToSession(clientRecordId, sessionRecordId) that I want to use in multiple blocks. Right now, I have to copy and paste the function into each scripting block or automation step I want to use it in, and if I want to update it, I have to be sure I edit every instance. I’d much rather be able to do something like import addClientToSession from "shared-block-id". If this is impossible, what solutions have other people in the community used to accomplish something similar?

Someone else on the team created a Dashboard using the Maps blocks. I am a Creator in the AirTable and anytime I go in, I do not get a map or settings. The Owner sees the Settings and map just fine. Any ideas as to what the issue is? Here is what they see: Here is what I see:

I’ve switched around the order of a few columns in grid view but this isn’t reflecting on Kanban. I would have expected the order of questions/columns to sync up no matter what view I’m in but this doesn’t seem to be the case. Help?

Hi guys, I’m in the process of setting up a product hosted on Airtable, selling the product through Gumroad (https://gumroad.com). Now, the idea is that people who purchase my product, automatically get added to the Airtable’s collaborator list using their email. Is there a bright mind who knows if there is a possibility of integrating Gumroad with Airtable (or some other external solution)? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all, I’ve been struggling with the SET_TIMEZONE feature for about 20 minutes now and frankly I’m over it, so I’m coming to you all. I’m trying to display the times that some orders were made in the local time zone of the person that made the order. I have three columns: Time Zone (which is the local time zone of the buyer), Order Time & Date (CET) (which is my time zone. all time stamps arrive in CET), and Order Date & Time (Local) (which is the field I am trying to calculate). Sharing a base between a paid and a free user? on this thread there’s huge positive sentiment for a new permission-level on bases, whereby I as a paid user can invite people to have minor box-checking / status changing, comment adding functionality. In my instance, i’m maintaining a base for a tech business, and I work with developers and other collaborators who I want to give limited access so they can update tasks they’re assigned to etc. I don’t see why this thread was closed automatically, when the last reply from Airtable was years ago, and where there’s message upon message from people echoing the same sentiment with no response?

Hi, I’m creating two forms- one that an interviewer fills out at the start of the day, and one that they fill out at the end of the day. I would like both of those forms to go to ONE record which would be based on the date. This would include all the information from both forms. When I made the two forms and tested they each created their own record and the date is in there twice. Thank you!

Hi there Airtable fam, I’m curious if there is a way to create an Airtable form that acts like a cloud based document? The use case here is I teach an online course and I’d love to have students submit reflections on certain lessons but I’d like them to be able to see and edit their reflections whenever they want to. Effectively allowing them to pull up the form at any time and see what they’ve written previously. Almost alike a way that Airtable can automatically save progress and allow the user to revist their posts? I think I might have to use a Google-doc-like experience but I don’t want to force people to have a gmail account. Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d like to do a search across tables and download the results as a csv, or at least be able to extract some of the information I find (let’s say, all the email addresses of the contacts that come out of my search using the search block). Is there a way to do that?

I’m trying to find a way make Airtable use the info in one field to add an image to the image field by automatically searching the web for an image and select the first image that comes up. Either by script or some other suggestion. Any direction would help. Thanks.

I have created a PHP website driven by AirTable. I have a test subdomain which is password protected with a .htpasswd file and so this connects directly to AirTable API so users can see the changes they are making. To make the changes go live I created a compile script available on the test subdomain, which queries the API for everything we want, and turns them into json files which I put in the appropriate place so that the live website can just read these files with PHP and create the website. This works well but the website does use the attachment URLs for things like website images and attachments. I am aware of the fact these URLs are not reliable and may be subject to change but for the moment a simple recompile would update and make everything well again. Now though, I have a more high traffic website and I cannot take the risk of attachment URLs changing so I need some sort of solution which lets me download the images and put them somewhere else
