I’ve got a Master Employee list and am sending out a survey that links to that list with the employee name field. They’ll choose their name from the list on the form, then fill out their information (shirt size, etc.) BUT, my issue comes with the responses. It’s adding them as another entry on my Master List - but I want to know if it’s possible to have their information fill in on the master list, rather than adding a new entry… Anyone have a workaround for this?

I’m considering creating a Wordpress site that would on some pages embed the iframe of an Airtable view, using the embed code that Airtable produces. I’ve testing the embedding and it’s slick–and fast. Love it. But I know that, at least in the past, Google’s ranking algorithms might penalize a site that has iframes in it. I know it may or may not index what is in the iframe, but that’s not really a concern for me. I just don’t want the site being penalized. Is there anyone here that knows much about SEO and the effect of iframes?

Is there any way to link a form response from an external user to an already existing entry in a base? I would want the new info to override the old information (so if someone has a new phone number, they can add it and the old one gets removed)? I would not want their name to be editable though, so that we can link to the correct record. I am managing a list of students for an after school music program. I’m using the “form” view to have students (external users) confirm enrollment for fall 2020 and provide updated contact information. I made the “first name” and “last name” column into single selects, thinking that it would link to their specific record, but the form creates a new entry.

At first, I was thinking of just linking the record, but doing that would make it so I have to fill out the field again. Instead, I would like to push the button, have it run a script that adds the text in column A in one table to column D in another. In addition, it should check a box on the first table that indicates that it’s been pushed over. Any help here would be immensely appreciated.

I have a list of sponsorships at various price points in one tab and I have them linked to my individual clients. I want to create various packages to include several different sponsorships. Is there a way to calculate the total of the individual sponsorships into a package amount total in my master sheet? For Example: Package A for Client Y has 4 sponsorship options. I’d like for it to be able to display the selected sponsorships AND the total of the combined levels. THANK YOU!

Just want to followup on my last post here There are three columns: If the data sits in Airtable is there a way to create an order form that would allow customers to query the database so that he/she is able to select the make, then the model and finally year? There would probably be roughly 4000 rows structured like that.

Hi, new user here. Trying to add a Long Text field with Rich Text enabled. I fill in the field, and everything looks great. But, as soon as I click off of the tab or change tabs, or exit the document… the field is empty when I return to it. Is there something I am missing which “saves” the text I have entered? Not sure what other information you need, but ask and if I can I will provide it. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

I can select a date for bar charts and group by month - great. But if a month has no entries (for example, none of the records has a date in July) then that month is missing in the chart. The chart goes 2020-05 2020-06 2020-08. I would like to show Zero here for 2020-07. Any ideas? Bug or feature?! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello ! I added credit to a workspace by mistake (I didn’t add it to the correct one) and then I deleted the workplace… How can I retreive my credit ? Will it be possible ? Here is a screenshot of my credit history… I don’t know what to do :confused:

I have a major problem that I hope is an easy fix. I created a gallery view of news items. I sorted on the primary key (date) with the newest items first. When I publish using the embed feature the gallery posts as expected using the proper sort with newest first. When I add an item, the gallery goes back to oldest first. This is not good for my site. It makes it seem like I have all old data because it starts at the oldest record at the bottom. The scroll bar is not easy to see so a lot of customers just go on their merry way. This is quite impactful. How do I get the sort to hold?

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask if there is a way to make Airtable send a calendar view to a Slack channel, but not by a trigger event, but with a timer. For example: Send this calendar view to XY channel every Thursday at 11:00 AM. Is there a way for this with the new Automation, or more a script should be involved? Thank you in advance!

Is there a method for taking a column of information or parts of and by clicking a box moving over to a new Table? What I doing is building a Casting database. 1st Table has all the actors listed by Age, Sex, Ethnicity. This page has pictures and contact numbers. I want to be able to go in check the ones I want to consider for a job, then have the checked ones duplicate over to a new Table. (Table 2) From here I have the director rate A,B,C their choice. Once we have contracted one of their, we would click another box and move those ones alone over to a new table (Table 3) “Contracted”. Is this kind of linking or moving information possible in Airtable?

I can’t figure this out: It’s about a voting system to vote for songs a specific artist should play on a specific event/date. I need to gather and visualize a chart with these votes for each event/date. I can get record entries in a table “Votes”. A “Vote” has 10 columns for 10 questions that can be 0 or 1. It also contains a name, date and can be linked to an “Event” The other table is called “Events”. An “Event” is bound to a Date and typically only has one artist. I need to sum up all votes per event. In a 3rd table i have the “Artists”. Each artist has 10 values for the questions, which contain specific song_names for that artist. So voting for Event A with artist B will have different voting values (read = song titles) than voting for Event B with artist C. So i just get 1 or 0 values in a “Vote”-record. Most important is that i can get this: an overview of votes for a specific event, which results i can limit within a date range it should be in a chart with on x-axis the 10 name

I’m transitioning from Notion, and REALLY miss a space for easy RTF notes. If I could select a record, and have it load a specific RTF field in a block, I think this could be a good workaround.

Hi everyone, I have a question about calculating averages. I’m not exactly sure if it’s currently possible to do this with Airtable, and I have been searching for a while, so if anyone knows how I can do this, I would appreciate the help. So I have attached an image of an example of the kind of base we are using. My organization will be using this for user acceptance testing, and each base will consist of a table for each of the testers. Each table is essentially identical. They all have the same columns, and everything up to the breaker/divider (Product Area, Acceptance Requirement, and Instructions) will have identical records as well across tables. Each tester has their own table, and fills in the fields after the divider (Status onwards). Basically, we would like to be able to calculate the average status, usability rating, and Time on task for each of the items. Hi there I have created a table for a client who needs to record the dates visits are made to a site. We note the dates in one cell, separated by commas. We would like to use this data to view the total number of visits. Is there are way to count comma separated values in Airtable? Thank you!

How can I change the default view that is used during record lookups and when I follow linked records? I’ve tried putting the view I want to use in these cases into the top position, this does not work. I think that maybe when I view a linked record it is using the last view I used for the linked table. I can live with that. But when I try to add a linked record to a linking field, the lookup window that seem to include all kinds of fields in the list of matching records that I’ve hidden in the first (default?) view (and the last one I used). This is annoying since virtually no useful data ends up showing in this list. How can I get the list to honor the either the first (default?) view or at least the last view I was using in that target table?

I am looking to have a record move from one table to another once it has “delivered”. I am using AT as a project manager for client orders. Each line on my base represents one order, the main descriptor is the “PO#” or Purchase Order Number. I would love it if once a PO delivered and I select “Delivered” on a single select field it would move that full line to a new table in the base. I am sure this is something people have asked about already but I am struggling to find an answer.

I run a music school. I use a Form on our website to provide my staff with a database table of information provided by each potential new student inquiry. Once our staff contacts an inquiry and marks them as ENROLLED, I’d like to move that student and some of their info to another Table that will allow our staff to view a table of Enrolled students by teacher, date, time, instrument. I’ve been trying to work our Linking Tables for this, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Just wondering if I’m missing something obvious, or are you unable to Link unique information like the individuals/students name, etc. Thank you!

I’m looking for a way to have a calendar view of upcoming birthdays. I can use the formula below to show the CURRENT year’s birthdays but I also want the calendar to show NEXT year’s birthdays so that in December 2020, I could look at the Calendar and see the January 2021 birthdays. I know I need a separate field and have the calendar us both fields but I can’t figure out how to add 1 year to the formula below for the second field., DATETIME_PARSE( DATETIME_FORMAT( BirthDate, ‘MMMM D’ )& ’ '& YEAR( TODAY() ), ‘MMMM D YYYY’ )

I am looking for advice on moving (or actually copying) a record to a table after it’s been imported via a form. I have one sheet that manages my sales pipeline. A 2nd sheet contains records from an external web form. Most of the records are cold leads, that I want to leave on that sheet. But some I want to convert to the sales process sheet by selecting a Single Select field “move to lead” and then have it make a copy of the record on the active sales process sheet. Any ideas?

Hi, I exported a view to csv file so I could work on it and ID duplicates for some of my data. However, when I compare the csv export with the data in the table, the order of the rows in the csv appears to be random and does not follow the same order in my table. How can I export to csv and maintain the same order I have in my table? Thanks in advance
