Hi there, Is there a way to use the Scripting Block to get a download url of the “print” button from the Page Designer block into a record? I’m looking for a way to get the Page Designer pdf into a record. I’m only using the mobile app but I would love to download a pdf from the page designer block from a record.

I would like to have a field in my table that shows the URL for each of the records so that this can easily be added to an email in a mail merge. I realize that I can copy the URL for any record and then paste it into the URL field that has been to the table, but there must be a simple way to just display the record URL. Thanks, Mike Morse

When adding/ editing information in a linked record, a lot of unnecessary details are displayed, which are confusing. Can I “simplify” the view by just displaying the main field value, but not all the additional fields? I only want the field value (in large letters), but not all the related values (i.e. in the image, I want to hide all the information in the red boxes). How can I do it?

I have created custom blocks for my base and shared the base to anyone with the link (with a read only). However it is showing “This block is disabled” for custom blocks. Regular blocks are shown but not custom blocks. Please see attachment

My current Gallery view prints three records on a page (because it can technically fit three to a page). How do I set it up to print one record per page?

Hello: I have a multiple select field with one or more dates. I want to count the number of dates and then filter the people with with 2 or more. I also want to eliminate people with whom we have not had contact with in more than 2 months? In if statement? if so how? Thanks for your help.

I swear I read somewhere recently that we could choose to make out account public, I think so other users could look at it for ideas or AirTable could look at it for research or something, and in exchange we’d be able to upgrade for free, but now I can’t find that information anywhere. Does anyone else remember reading something like this?

I am a consultant and was very hopeful that I could use airtable to build a solution for a client to replace their access database that had two tables in it. I have now pretty much given up on using AirTable but thought I’d ask in case I am overlooking some feature that could make this work. My client has 10 users that modify data, and 300 that look at the data. The people doing the looking never edit, but they would need to be able to change the sort order of the views, and ideally resize columns and filter what is in the views. This does not seem to be possible if they are “readonly” users. I don’t see any “Blocks” that support this either. So it appears the only option would be to make all those 300 users “commenters”. But that has two big problems. The first is that they don’t want to spend the additional $6,000 per month (300 users * 20 each) to support that - we can make other solutions much cheaper. I have tables “customers” “orders” and “products” Products has a multiple choice for product type. Orders is linked to the customer and the product with a date. I am looking for a solution to find the last time a product was ordered by a client in an overview/ filter/ group. Example: Product Type A “customer” “product name” “order id” “order date” “customer” “product name” “order id” “order date” Product Type B “customer” “product name” “order id” “order date” I would love to hear some ideas or if you know anywhere else in the form where it is discussed. Hello, I’m attempting to use airable to manage a tag filtering system that feeds into a 3rd party database for my job. Problem is that multiple select tags seem to add an arbitrary space when converted to a string. This effectively eliminates its usefulness as our system cannot parse it. Example: Is there any easy way to get around this? Perhaps an extra formula step to remove the space after each comma? Thank you in advance!

Hi, I am very new to Airtable. I am doing social media for a non-profit organization, so I am using the Social Media Calendar base. I am having a very hard time with the calendar. The default template had 2018 and 2019 holidays, and I figured out how to make them display 2020 holidays. What I cannot figure out is how to display the 2021 dates for holidays that change. The formula appears to just be adding one year to the original date (looks like it was built for birthdays and then co-opted into all holidays?) and I cannot seem to change that to account for variable holidays. Ideally I would just type in the 2021 date and it would display on the 2021 calendar in the correct place. Thank you in advance for your help! Dates of Changing Holidays

Using Devonthink 3 Pro, I can capture text from whatever source (eg websites, etc). then use a keyboard shortcut of my own making via Word Service, to reformat - stripping out all links, line endings, headings, bold, etc etc. What I’d like to do is copy and paste direct into a long text field in AT and have the field reformat it? Is that possible, and if so would I need to use a formula or script and if so what would the formula be and how would I go about it? tia

Is there any way to force uniqueness on the key field? In other words, I want the value in the key field to be unique across all records. So I should not be able to create two records with the same key field value. Thanks. –Brad

Hi! Does anyone know the appropriate way to getting a form header to automatically resize depending on the device being used? Or which dimensions I should be using when I create the header for it to look OK on all sized devices? I currently have an image (that includes words) for the header of a form and while it looks great on a laptop, pulling it up on a mobile device cuts the image awkwardly. Any help much appreciated. I want to be able to link a simple google sheet to a table in Airtable using Integromat so that i can have outside users update, delete, and create records via the google sheet. I started by using the Integromat template for creating and updating aritabel via google sheets and all I can get it to do is create one record and then it uses all the other rows to update the one row it created instead of making new rows. I know this should be very easy but I can’t seem to locate the issue of why it won’t give me more than one record. I’ve uploaded screenshots of the google sheet setup and the airtable set up along with the integromat. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m wondering if it’s possible at all to have air table auto create dates with time slots at for example like 30 min or 1 hour intervals for appointments. I thought of maybe doing this with the scripting block but i cannot find anything anywhere on writing the code for this. I’m hoping to autocreate essentially a calendar full of open appointment slots 30 or 60 days ahead and have it constant

We have a few Airtable forms embedded onto our Wordpress website and they have worked great until recently. In the last week or two, all of the forms are taking on a ton of extra space at the bottom of the form - just blank white space that at least doubles the length of the form embed. I tried repasting the code, but the same thing happens. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I’ve got a calendar view in my base for which I’m using an ical subscription link to have it show up in my calendar app. For some reason, when I look in my calendar app, every single event has the character “:” added to the end the event name. (For example, “Meeting with Marcy:” instead of “Meeting with Marcy”.) There is no colon in the event names in the airtable calendar. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

(I’m pretty sure the answer to this question is going to be “that’s just the way it is”, but I’m gonna ask anyway.) Is there a way to Group records on a field WITHOUT the Group also sorting on that field? I already have a sort I like (by Date) and a pretty “group header” field that spells out the month (e.g. “July 2020”) that I would like to group on so that the groups each show that field. However, when I Group on the field, it also sorts (alpha) on that field, screwing up the sort. Why isn’t Group just group? It should be named “Group and Sort” if it’s going to do both. :slightly_frowning_face: Or at least make the sorting an option that can be turned off. Example: If I have the following data: 1 A 2 A 3 C 4 C 5 A 6 B And I Sort on Number and Group on Letter, I’d like to have: 1 A 2 A 3 C 4 C 5 A 6 B That is, form a new group when the letter changes WITHOUT sorting on the letter
