What determines the 3 fields in the screenshot (Product Title, SKU (Supplier), Supplier UPC) per record to show below? Initially thought the fields reflected follows the order of the fields/columns in the View that’s being searched, but that’s not it. Thoughts?

I am designing a new base for tracking client accounts. We currently have approximately 12 clients, but are looking to expand our services in the next year. Each client has 1-5 accounts with up to 5 sub accounts. The accounts are prepaid and I want to ensure we don’t go over budget. The expenses are divided into direct expenses (paid by us) and reimbursed expenses (that we will issue payment for). I would also like to submit the expense information using a form and then approve the expenses monthly. I want to create the following views: Break down of client accounts and sub accounts with the detailed expenses Summary of client accounts and sub accounts that only shows remaining balance Reimbursed expenses each month Direct expenses each month I would appreciate thoughts on how to cleanly design this base. Hi everyone, I have a base where I have a list of invoices which have a date an an amount. I need to know the average earnings for each working day of the month the invoice is billed. To do so, I wanted to calculate the number of working days for each month of the invoices. I saw that there’s the WORKINGDAY DIFF formula, but to make it works I’ll need the first and last day of each invoice, as the screenshot below: Here, for example, I entered manually the 1st and last, but is there a way to automate this? With my manually entered 1st and last date of the month, I calculated the working days for the month. Then, I created a formula which calculate the average amount billed each day from the amount of the bill (Formula is: Amount of the bill divided by the # of working days in the month). Finally, I sum all the bills of the month to know th

Is there a way for me to use images for each location for the map pins when using the map block?

I created a time tracker block to track time and wish to create a billable time calculated field that will calculate the duration and set to 30 minutes if the duration is less 30 minutes. something like: IF( duration is less than 30 minutes, set "Billable Time Value to 30 minutes, Otherwise set to Current Duration). I’m assuming I need to create a field called “Billable Time” as a calculated field, I just need help with the logic. Duration Field is set to type: Duration

I’ve been using Airtable integration for a few years and its always been seamless. But since April 2020 I can’t do it anymore. When I try to open a new Airtable base directly from G-Drive I get a message " Sorry, the page you were looking for was not found". Does anyone have an idea what’s happening?

Hi there, I am new to Airtable and am trying to figure out why does the card layout behaves so differently when embedding it to an external website? This is how it looks at my grid-view once embedded into my site (this capture is from the sharable Airtable link, but it looks the same once actually embedded). As you can guess, there are plenty of fields missing in the middle. Strangely I can see the last field (an image) at the end: And this is how it originally looks the view in my Airtable base: Can someone help me to understand why or if I can fix it somehow? It’s not a hidden thing I guess, I already tried that.

Hello, Who has achieved some (or all) of these 3 goals, and has a solution already in place? I’m looking for a way to achieve these goals. Thank you so much in advance for sharing your wisdom. I’m looking through the Intergromat integration list of all the email tools, and I bet some of you are familiar with some of the tools that will meet my vision. And, perhaps even a direct AirTable integration not involving Intergromat – that would be magical. Lol, currently lost in the sea of reviewing all these tools and would LOVE your advice on what tools match for my vision. Thank you SO much in advance. It’s a bit time sensitive. Which of these pictured here do you like and also matches my goals/criteria outlined below? Or any others that integrate with Intergromat and/or AirTable directly, that you know of? ClickSend integrates as well. These are all tools that integrate with Intergromat.

Hiya. Been following news about Airtable for a wee while now and I am hoping it can come in handy for a user case I have playing up in my head :blush: . Can I embed Airtable forms into a WordPress site and display the data gotten from said form in real time on the same WordPress site using the Airpress Plug in? If yes, is there any possible way to attach a QR code to each data generated from said form. Looking forward to your replies

Hi! I’m working on a historical database and am putting in birth and death dates for historical figures. I currently have those field types set as dates (YYYY-MM-DD). However, there are birth/death dates for which I don’t know the months or days for these people. Is there any way to input a date as just the year (YYYY) in records where I don’t know the month or day for these fields? Thanks!

I am building a database for employees and want to also keep track of the uniforms we have given them/they return as well as the amount of uniforms we have left to distribute in house. I figured out a way to link the people to the uniform sizes so i can easily control whats in house and who has which size shirt by linking the employee names to the uniform table and then counting the names to see how many shirts are out. But i cant figure out a way for it to account for multiple quantities of shirts - that’s the roadblock i am stuck at. It wont let me assign someone’s name to a field more than once, so it only subtracts 1 shirt from inventory (1 shirt per name), but most employees have multiple uniforms. How can i get it to account for different quantities for different people? Any ideas?

I’m creating weekly schedule notice for volunteers. Would like to list out the day(s) the volunteer is signed up in a reminder email. E.g. "We have you on the schedule this week for; If (Monday) print “Monday” (pseudo code) If (Tuesday) print “Tuesday” etc. I have a view with this week’s volunteers names, email address, and checkbox columns for Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday. Questions: Is supported in SendGrid block? Is there an example someone could point me to for this? I’m new. All helpful feedback welcome.

Is it possible to set up a table within a base that would duplicate the primary field of another table and that would automatically edit in tandem with that field in the other table? For example: Say I am creating a database of countries. My first table is a list of all of those countries, populations, info about them, etc. Next I want to create an additional table that specifically focuses on proposals related to those countries. How can I assure that if I make an addition to my country name field on one table, it is also added to the other table? Thanks!

Since Airtable lacks the ability to limited permissions by table and does not allow linking of records between multiple bases, I need use API or Zapier to keep child bases in sync with our parent base. The Parent Base contains only two fields - Project Number & Project Name. I can easily use Zapier to detect new record in Parent Base and push those two fields into the child bases. But often the Project Name will be updated in the Parent Base. I need those updates to push to the child bases as well. One workaround I tried was to create a Last Modified Field linked to Project Name, create a view filtered by “in the last day” and use New Record in View as the trigger. That works for the 1st time a project is renamed in the last 24 hours. But if the project is renamed several times in the span of a few minutes, Zapier only recognizes the first change as “new”. Any way to do this via API or otherwise?

Hi All, VERY new here and new to the database world, enjoying AirTable and it NEARLY does everything i want… (im sure the bits it doesn’t do are more down to my incompetence than air tables inability) I have a question though. Employee time tracking for an engineering workshop - So i have a base, a list of machines, a list of employees and other relevant data. i have a start and an end time column but my problem is that there maybe say 20 different start and stop times for any 1 job. how do i track the operators time spent on 1 job without having 20 start and stop time fields ? I almost want a button he clicks that says “im on” then another saying “im off” then those hours are calculated per job, and… i can also see how many hours he has been booked to jobs per week… I have a feeling this is a very large ask! but any help or guidance would be greatly appriciated Cheers Steve

Hi. I have original db in airtable. And i want to copy it to other tables (in same project) several times and filter by category. like this But as i understand, this is available in same table to another (grid) view. (i need table, not view. becuz the reason i do this is i am making an app by Thunkable) Or if i just duplicate a table, then it will not update automatically. So please help me. Do i need a script block or something?

Hi guys, I’ve got a form with a single select option, that’s linking to another table. However when you click to add, it shows all of the fields for all of the records in the linked table. Is there any way to prevent seeing all of the fields during selection? It pulls every field from the linked table. Thanks for your help!

Trying to get cells in my base to display photos from Google Drive or Google Photos. When I select Google Drive as the location of the attachment, I get the page that connects me with my Google Accounts. I choose an account, I grant permissions, then we go back to the Airtable attachment selection, but the only option is the same as before “Connect to Google Drive”. I have no problems importing directly from my computer.

I’ve got a few questions that I’m having a hard time figuring out the best approach to solve or if it can be solved easily (very much not a JS person)… I want to create a record in a table based on conditions from the original table. The new record should copy information from the original table that are held as different field types. Something like this: Conditions for new record: If xTeam is in thisField, then create new record in otherTable Data to be copied: thisTable.launchDate = otherTable.liveDate thisTable.activityDescription = otherTable.description thisTable.launch = otherTable.launch --> (this is currently a lookup between the two tables where otherTable looks up thisTable) thisTable.activityOwner = otherTable.requestor

Can you add a color legend to the Gantt view? Especially with multiple Gantts and color schemes, people keep asking what the colors mean and are struggling to remember. This has prevented the full collaborative potential of this block view. Currently Gantt ease of use is lacking between the color scheme and custom record IDs. I built a master base to keep track of stories across 4 other bases using the Sync block. It’s working as an MVP, but I don’t seem to have the ability to sync the “Collaborator” field from one base to another. Why is that? Any recommended approaches?

It would be great if I could use a column value other than the unique identifier as the display value for the gantt block. That would be much better as a single line text
