Im using Retool with Sequin to link my airtable database to Retool and im trying to insert into a link field some data but i cant do it like how i would normally insert a field with a sql query
Hello, I'm not sure which category this would fall under. I'm working on generating an automated report based on our data. I don't want it to be too long, so under one filtered category, I only want the report to pull information tied to a checked-off box that was only checked off in the last 7-14 days. (I'd like to be able to change the date as needed) The checkboxes live in our subtasks field and are rich text. Is there a way to sort when these boxes where checked based on date? For example, in the screenshot below, I only want to pull the checked boxes with green, not the ones with red: Is this possible? Thanks a bunch! Thank you,Lindsay
I would like to use airtable Forms to track Requests for Interpretation with my Architect. Here’s what I’m struggling with… I want to fill out each RFI with the information I’m requesting comments on. Each form will be a different request. Once I’ve filled out the Question, I want to share the form for the Architect’s Response. I only see ways to share the same blank form every time.
I have a table of events that all have a start and end time/date. The start field is "Start Datetime"For example, I have event that has a start datetime of 1/1/2019 at 11:00am. All in a date field. 1/1/2019 specificially we use as a generic fallback for old events that didn't have a date. So we pasted in 1/1/2019 at 11:00amThese events are linked to those who participated in them. And they have a payment amount noted. So I created a rollup field with the intention of knowing how much we paid out to those in the last year. The rollup seems to be capturing linked events which are clearly older than a year, however, and I'm not sure why.My rollup filter has the "only include linked records from the Events table that meet certain conditions", and then a filter set to only include Where Start Datetime is Within the past year. Then it aggregates by SUM(values).None the less, it's including linked events from more than a year ago, but only those older events tagged
Hello! I am creating a form for a table (let’s call it Table A) which has fields linking to another table (table B) in the same base. When filling out the field on the form on Table A, the user can only see the data in the primary field of Table B. However many of the records in Table B have similar primary field data making them difficult to distinguish. Being able to see one (or multiple) of the other fields would be really helpful. For the time being, I’ve made the primary field on Table B a formula that merges the most helpful relevant fields from that table, but it makes all my Table B views very messy/ugly. I wish this formula could be in a non-primary field so I could hide it, but then my Table A form wouldn’t show it. Please tell me there’s something stupidly easy I’m missing! Is there a way for a form to reference/show any thing BUT the primary data? Or is there a workaround I can use with another table? Cheers, Nathan
Say I have a base with two tables, A and B, where the primary field of B (a single line text field with the name B_name) has values B, 1 and B, 2, and where A has a field, B_name, linking to B. And say I now want to use the CSV import tool to import a single record into table A: A_name,B_name A1,"B, 1, B, 2" When I import this using the CSV import tool, the correct links to B, 1 and B, 2 are not established. How can I either Format the CSV I’m importing, or Configure the import in the CSV import tool such that the correct links are established? Thank you!
Any Idea why the scripting block would give me this error? I've seen let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync();used in other scripts.
Is there a way to link my Phone Number field to RingCentral so that when I click on the phone number it’ll make an outgoing call in my RingCentral app or give me the option to send a text?
Hi Does anyone know of a way to ‘Filter’ a ‘Date’ column by something similar to “this week”? Basically, I’m just trying to create a Grid View that shows - via a Filter - all enquiries that have been received ‘this week’ (which is from Monday through to Sunday of the week I’m looking/accessing the View in). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Stephen
I have the free version of Airtable and am trying to find where I can see my data usage per page. I was told to look for my workspace settings page, but I cannot find that. Also. I keep getting a message that I've exceeded my record limit, however I am still able to upload attachments. Anyone know where to find your data usage, and has anyone gotten record limit warnings even though you are still able to add attachments?
After a record’s field changes from ‘Stage 1’ to ‘Stage 2’ I need to print the record. When it changes from ‘Stage 2’ to ‘Stage 3’ I need to print the record in a different layout. The Page Designer Block seems to do a great job creating the print layout, but I don’t see a way to trigger it for the record I’m editing (instead of searching for the record within the Page Designer Block). I also don’t see a way automatically trigger these prints. Is it possible? Any advice? It seems like external tools like Webmerge and Zapier might be involved, is that the case? Thanks, Mike
Does Airtable have a simple search feature similar to the "Find" in Excel? Suppose a user is updating random fields in a 10,000 record mailing list. They need to quickly find a specific record based on varying criteria such as an unusual last name, phone number, address, whatever information might be available to find the record. In Excel this type of task is a no-brainer, what is Airtable's (hopefully) equivalent search functionality? I've seen the filter feature, that would be extremely tedious for random searches of this type. I'm new to Airtable, maybe the feature I need is right in front of me and I overlooked it. Thanks
Hi,Since yesterday, whenever I edit a cell, Chrome shows the `update password` po-pup. Is it just me?Only happens in AirTable.Any tips?
I have a database where I have a check box that’ll indicate that a material has arrived. Im trying to have a formular to automatically record the date the check box was checked. Sofar I’ve tried with the following. IF({Trim arrived}=1,TODAY(), BLANK()) The problem that the date follows todays date and dosen’t stay at the date the the check box was clicked. Is there a way record the date it was checked in in the formular field
Why are the other fields hidden? Is there a way to rearrange them and not hide them? The arrangement should be - Staff - Start Date - End Date - Leave Type - Leave Count
AirTable seems to have made a change to the sync implementation in a way that has crippled a critical support process/automation we have in place. Based on the fact that this support article was updated today and one of our sync fields that used to be a Lookup (and on which downstream logic relied upon) is now a text field, we can only assume that a breaking change was deployed with no advance notice.Anyone else experienced this or have any issues as a result of this?
I’m pulling in Google analytics data to one table in a base via a 3rd party extension, it includes a column with a pageview number and another with the corresponding URL. On my other tables on this base I have the URL already in a column. I’m looking to pull in the pageviews by matching URL in my other tables and cannot figure out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I am about to embark on a large research project with the Royal National Institute of the Blind and one of the requirements is that the format we hand over our research should be fully accessible. Given there is going to be a lot of research findings I was hoping to use Airtable, but is it accessible? Thank you J
When I am in a base and click the "Share" button in the top right, when I start typing a name under "Email invite", I get a bunch of auto-complete suggestions of people I don't know and aren't in my organization (some are from Gmail, some are from corporate domains we don't have any business with, like GSK).Where are these email addresses coming from? It kind of looks like a database leak of some sort.
I have to get approval for all software on an annual basis. The software request form now requires the name and phone number of a support person from Airtable before I can renew for next year. There are no exceptions to this rule. Does anyone have a name and phone number I can put down for this?I will never actually call this person. I just need something to enter on the form. I know the official answer is that Airtable doesn't provide phone support, but I will have to use a different product if I can't find real contact info for an Airtable support person.
I can't use my Airtable base due to overlimit on the 1,200 records allotted. Upon checking, I found an insane inaccuracy; it says I have 3,330 out of 1,200, but my base only has 800 records. No attachments. Has anyone else had a similar issue, and if so, what can I do?
Hi, I am interested in connecting an Airtable base to Tableau Desktop using Tableau’s WDC (web data connector) connection type similar to the example here: Glitch :・゚✧ (originally found here: Community Portal) Has anyone else tried this and if so, what are the requirements/security implications (such as hosting the WDC vs using a publicly hosted WDC) to get this working? Perhaps more of a Tableau question - is it possible to access live Airtable data from a workbook published to a private Tableau server with an embedded WDC connection? Hoping others who have gone down this route may be able to provide some further insight on how to get started using a Tableau WDC with Airtable. Appreciate it in advance!
Hello everyone. I have developed a Content Management base in Airtable. Each record is an article or piece of content, with a draft due date and a publication date. I have used a zap to connect it to Google Calendar, so that each new piece of content will show as a multiday event from the draft due date to the publish date in Google Calendar. However, this zap only adds new events to Google Calendar, but if I change the dates to a record in Airtable or to an event in Google Calendar, these changes are not updated in the other app. Does anyone know if it is possible to keep Airtable and Google Calendar in sync using zapier, and how this could be done? Thank you in advance.
Airtable would instantly jump to one of my most used apps if it leveraged If This Then That’s platform for integrations. Think about instant integrations to apps like Trello, TodoIst, Evernote, Gmail, Google Drive, etc. It would be AMAZING!
Is there a way in IFTTT to retrieve a particular field of a newly created row? I’ve got a contact list airtable, and want to update a Mailchimp list whenever I put a new record into Airtable. I had a look at building this in IFTTT, but couldn’t see a way to get the value in (for example) the ‘Name’ field in Airtable so that I could put it in the ‘Name’ field in Mailchimp. There’s an ingredient called RecordJson, which I assume has all the data from the new record, but I can’t find any documentation about how to pull a particular element from the JSON. Is this possible with IFTTT, or only in Zapier? (I know there’s a recipe which claims to do this, but I can’t see how it’s able to connect the relevant fields.)
