Hello -- we have a base with about 5000 restaurants listed in it, and our editorial team needs the ability to easily put together ad-hoc lists of selections from that set.  They might start by filtering for all the records in a particular city (Chicago), but then need the ability to manually remove records from that basic set.  What's the best way to go about doing this in AT?  In FileMaker Pro (where we're migrating from), you could do a Find and then simply manually Omit records from that found set.  Is there a similar way to do this in AT?  Or would we need to do something like create a new field, and then add a value to that field for all the records we want to manually group?Thanks very much - loving AT so far!

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.I'm a new user considering upgrading to a paid sub however there is an issue which if not resolvable means Airtable would be completely useless to me.I'm in the UK so using the DD/MM/YYYY format, no problem with this, all the data formats fine.The problem comes when I try to filter view by dates, when I click on the first of October and the 31st of October as the start/end dates for my view, Airtable uses the MM/DD/YYYY format despite all my data being in DD/MM/YYYY format. Due to this the only entry that comes up was from 10/08/23 (Tenth of August). None of my October sales are visible. If there is no workaround to this then Airtable is completely useless to me.I'd be incredibly grateful if anybody could assist.p.s I'm only using Airtable to keep a record of my inventory for my part time ebay reselling, I'm not a power user so will not understand complex formulas.

Is there a way to autofill a hidden field or Date data on a form to show when that form was submitted? This to to eliminate the need of asking the user to fill in a date field.

My team uses Airtable extensively (and I'm still bitter about having to double our costs to not lose our syncs...but that's besides the point) and we have a few clients we want to help organize their data better too.  I want them to use Airtable, but I'm hesitant to ask them to pay for us to have an account to access their bases to help set them up.  So my question is: If I have an Airtable business account, is there anything stopping me from creating an account and workspace for our clients, and then just billing them for that?  There's nothing in Airtable's terms & conditions that explicitly deny this, but is there any reason I'm not seeing that makes this a bad idea?

Hi, I'm having Problems with a Script, that are very weird.I'm writing a Script that should pull Crypto Prices from CoinMarketCap. For that, I created a Table "Currencies". In this Table there are 3 Fields (for the sake of this example): "Name", "Symbol", "Price". Now in the Script Settings you can enter your API Key (not relevant here), the Table of the Currencies and a Symbol and Price Field. Now the Script should query all Symbols existing on the Table, compile them into a Comma-Separated List and query the API. Then it should fill in the Price for each Symbol. Hello, I need to make CSV exports of a table that contains several long text field cells. Each long text field contains text with carriage returns, which results on the csv as actual breaklines, which is makes it quite tedious to fix manually. Apart from NOT using any breaklines within the long text filed, (which wouldn’t be the ideal solution as we need the information contained in the field to be nicely readable and not showing as a big block), would there be another way to prevent that issue? :pray: :pleading_face: I know the topic has been raised already but unfortuantely I could not find a satisfying answer to that yet. Hi guys.I was working at the optical shop, where I set up the entire Airtable for any form of tracking our customers such as dioptries, eyewear they chose, and complex calculation so you can add the info right in front of th customers and tell them the final price. The table also got own portfolio for eyewear and its own price and specification. It was great but the only thing I struggled with was changing the price of the product (in portfolio) that was sold and reordered by me again with the higher price. If I wanted to change original price (in portfolio), it will be changed in all of customers that purchased specific product. My question: Is it possible to somehow change the price without adding the same product with a different price? for example lock the record so it does not change or any other options ? Thank you.

I've figured out how to create a formula that outputs a date that Airtable understands as a date (rather than a string of data) and have it appear on a calendar BUT is there a way to be able to drag said  item across the calendar so the dates change automatically? (as you would if you if you were just using calendar dates entries)

Hey,When sending my metadata in media platforms (such as Whatsapp, Facebook, Teams etc.) I see the metadata and thumbnail of Airtable.com company (attaching a photo). Is there a way to customize it so when I share my airtable URL people will see a different metadata?Thanks

Hi all, is it possible to run the “Sync now” command which synchronizes the records from the source base through a script? I would like to create an automation that has a webhook as its trigger and this script as an action. This is because I have a scenario on Integromat which sometimes fails as it does not find the record that has not yet been synchronized (despite there is a 5 minute “sleep” module). We recently encountered an issue where a user ad hoc added options to a multi select field that should not have been there.Is there any way to lock down available field options so a user is not able to add them in?

Today the "Expand the table" feature stopped working for me. I see it's happened to others in the past. I'm using the work-around of creating enough empty records in the destination table before I paste, but that's only feasible for small datasets. If there's a way to automatically create a specified number of empty records, that would be helpful, too.I don't think mismatched structure between origin and destination tables is the problem, as I had always been able to paste records into a mismatched view when I wasn't paying attention.Has Airtable has ever addressed why this happens? It would be great to be able to fix it, as my business process is heavily dependent on this feature.

I created my own Extension under "Build an extension". I've released these extension command using block add-remote , block run and block release. It working fine in that base, but I want these extension in my other bases. Is it possible to access by other bases?How and where the released Extension is findable?

Hi all,I have a table, called my Sync table, that I link whatever I need into several different tables. I want to add long-text columns to my Sync table and then hyperlink the fields. I then want to lookup those fields in all of the different tables that I'm syncing into. However, when I've tried to do this I've noticed that only the text is transferred to the Lookup field in the new table, but the text is not hyperlinked. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks!

Hi all,I am running into an issue with a new table I have created in my primary base.I want to copy a single record from Table 1 to Table 3 and the record has 15 fields.When I copy the record from Table 1, it says '15 cells copied'.When I paste the record in Table 3, I get a dialogue box saying "Do you want to expand this table?To fit your pasted data into the table, we need to add 11 more fields."When I select 'Expand the table so that all of the pasted cells will fit.' then click continue, nothing happens.Nothing gets pasted, no fields are created, nothing.I tried clearing cache, doing this on the app rather than the website, deleting the table and creating a new one, using other records and nothing is working. Yesterday I noticed that several of my base to base sync's are broken.In every instance the source base has a main table, with a sharable view.That view is sync'd to other bases in the workspace.Nothing has changed in the original source base to 'break' the sync.All the locations where the original base syncs out to have filters so only pertinent information is pulled across.I get the error "Unable to sync this source. Unable to sync new data" in all the bases that the source syncs to.I did find one other older post in here with something similar,  and tried those help steps that were listed, but they didn't solve the issue.I reached out to AT's live chat yesterday, and was told they couldn't help via chat.I also have a support email out, and am waiting on their response.I just thought I would ask the broader group if anyone had similar issues - appreciate any insights!

Hi! I had set up a sync from one AirTable base to this one and it was working fine until last week this little warning symbol came up and I got a sync failed message but I am not sure why the sync failed. I've tried to re-sync the bases together but with no luck. Can anyone help!

In a grid view, I can select multiple records and then right-click to e.g. delete this selection.Is it possible to add this selection to a linked record field in another table?
