A few key use cases: Get up to speed with context: Instantly search for background information and insights from your Drive or OneDrive to ramp up on new projects—no more digging through folders or old documents. Summarize comment threads: Quickly generate overviews of conversations on a document, such as a product requirements doc, so you can drive alignment. Search knowledge bases to answer questions: Surface answers from documentation or support articles stored in your cloud drives to resolve questions faster and keep your team moving. Use cases: Prevent external vendors from exporting customer lists or PII Reduce data leakage in shared apps across business units Ensure compliance with internal data governance or legal policies ✅ Sensitivity Labels Apply custom sensitivity labels to apps to improve data classification, visibility, and compliance across your organization. Admins can configure labeling policies, and labels are visible to all users. Use cases: Flag internal-only or confidential apps for company-wide clarity Filter and audit apps by sensitivity level in the admin panel Encourage responsible sharing and reduce accidental access to restricted apps ✅ New Appearance Styles for Single Select Fields Record Detail Pages now support two new display options for single select fields, 'Stepper' and 'List', giving teams better visual cues for status tracking and process steps. The Stepper style visualizes sequential workflows by showing users their current position within the entire process—perfect for approval chains, production pipelines, and multi-step processes. The List style displays all options vertically with radio buttons for easy selection—ideal for priority levels, categories, and status fields. Use cases: Use Stepper style for approvals, onboarding steps, or stage-based workflows Use List style for clean display of priorities, statuses, or categories Improve clarity for form submissions and data review in Interfaces ✅ Databricks Connector to HyperDB Enterprise admins can now connect Databricks to HyperDB, enabling massive datasets (up to 100M records per table!) to be integrated into Airtable via the Data Library. Use cases: Sync product telemetry or web analytics data for internal dashboards Connect machine learning pipeline outputs to Airtable for business use Provide structured teams access to high-scale data without managing pipelines ✅ App Sandbox Build confidently in a protected environment as App Sandbox allows structural changes to be made safely in a separate version of your base, and merged into production once approved. Use cases: Experiment with schema changes without affecting live workflows Develop new automations or interfaces while the team keeps using the base Enable structured review processes before publishing updates to stakeholders ✅ Timeline Critical Path Critical Path is now available in Gantt Timeline views within Interfaces—highlighting the longest sequence of dependent tasks to help teams prioritize work and mitigate project delays. Use cases: Identify bottlenecks in complex projects with multiple dependencies Focus team resources on tasks that impact overall delivery timelines Communicate critical milestones to stakeholders in exec dashboards View “What’s new in Airtable” → 🧑🎓 #AirtableAcademy in the wild… Spotlighting recently certified Airtable users, learnings, and celebrations from those using the #AirtableAcademy hashtag. via Caroline Kastner: I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Airtable Builder Certification from Airtable!
