For the rich text field, it would be nice to maintain its formatting when you export it as a CSV. On a similar note, if you integrate airtable with Zapier, it would be great if these rich text fields maintained their formatting when sent to another application, such as Google Docs.

What is the proposed idea/solution? User can choose to send an email directly from comments section. The resulting reply shows up in the comments. Particularly useful is to have an email per workspace How does is solve the user problems? All communication relating to the record/task/client shows up in said record/task/client. This is without having to add erroneous user seat count and or guest usage to Airtable account. Who is the target audience? Any one needing a decent CRM/Ticket/Job management solution, on a none existent budget My user case is extremely specific, but here it is, as briefly and as simplistically as I can put it: I am a reseller for a major ISP, in an effort to increase my commission split I as added as a "sub-agent" to an existing agent. The issue is I lost access to their CRM tool. So I created and interface which allows me to keep track of my clients with the agent I am attached to. This works fine for the most basic of communication between him and me. How ever when I send an email to a client or to our support desk, the evidence of this communication is not recorded in the reciprocal record/task in Airtable.

Being able to organize “links” to bases in Google Drive is helpful, but not very useful in an enterprise or team setting unless Team Drives are supported. Right now, if I try to drag an Airtable base from the default “Airtable” folder in My Drive to a Team Drive, the error message “This type of file cannot be moved to a Team Drive yet” pops up. I know that Lucidcharts recently implemented Team Drive support for linked files, so it is possible. Thanks!

It seems like Airtable’s Zapier action “New Record in View” doesn’t always trigger. This action ONLY triggers if a record appears in the view for the VERY FIRST TIME. However, if a record falls off the view — and then that very same record returns to the view at a later date — it DOESN’T trigger the Zapier action again. We actually need the ability for the Zapier action to trigger EVERY SINGLE TIME a record reappears in the view, whether or not the record has appeared in that view in the past. Thanks!

 Hey everyone I’m excited to share we just launched a new Airtable x Bubble sync! You can now two-way sync any Airtable base with Bubble 🚀 . About Whalesync Whalesync is a no-code tool that lets you two-way sync data instantly between tools like Airtable, Bubble, Webflow, Notion, & Postgres. How it works Choose the Airtable base and Bubble app you want to sync Map the tables and fields respectively Choose sync direction (1-way or 2-way) then turn real-time sync on! Here’s a quick tutorial: How to Sync Airtable and Bubble with Whalesync What can I do with this? Bubble lets you build complex applications, but its data editor is hard to use. Airtable arguably has the easiest-to-use data editor on the planet 🙂 . With Whalesync, you can now leverage Airtable as a backend to your Bubble app and: Build internal tools on top of your Bubble app with Airtable (see our demo with 9x) Create dashboards in Airtable from your Bubble data Manage your Bubble database from Airtable We’re super excited to finally have a Bubble connector live. If you have questions or feedback, we would love to hear it!

Our tasks have end dates that help our team know when tasks are due. Is there a way to integrate the Chime block to notify a team member when a due date is approaching?
Also, is there a way to modify the notifications such as 7 days, 2 weeks, or 1 month?

I’m very new to AirTable but I have significant experience with all sorts of IT and coding. I have searched both the help and the community and I am surprised this has not come up. I have seen references to using Zapier, etc. but that seems to be a complicated route versus making it a built-in feature. I would like to be able to create a table that can be used to catch emails sent directly to a specific email address for that table. Obviously, this would require AT to have an email infrastructure that could handle the incoming email, or, as another method, allow the user to create an email box in their own email system (Exchange, O365, Gmail, etc.) which AT would be able to access in order to grab the messages and populate the contents to the table. I would imagine this might be best done using a predefined template that would map to the appropriate email fields (sender/from, subject, body, attachments, cc addresses). This would be very similar to the way Slack, Jira, MS Teams, etc. allow email to be used as an input source for discussions, etc. I think this would be an excellent feature to include in the paid versions and would extend the functionality. For example, I am in the middle of a website rollout and would like to gather testing feedback from our team. Ideally, I would have testers use a form, but an email would also be an excellent “low friction” way for many of our testers to provide that info. Obviously, this would require some thought, but I do think it would improve collaboration capabilities. If this is something the AT community/product team has considered, I would love to know your thoughts. Thanks and thank you for such a great product that is a joy to work with.

We really need a Zapier trigger for when an Airtable record is UPDATED. Currently, the only option that Airtable has given us in Zapier is a trigger called “New Record In View”. However, “New Record In View” IS NOT A SOLUTION. The problem with the “New Record In View” option is that it only triggers the very first time a record appears in a view . If the record falls off the view, and then comes back onto the view later, the trigger is never triggered again. Therefore, the “New Record in View” option is not really usable for the vast majority of use cases. What we really need is an “Updated Record” trigger in Zapier. This is one of our Top 10 Feature Requests for Airtable. Luckily, in the meantime, we’ve got OpenSide’s On2Air Actions to help us with this. It costs $50 per month (or $500 per year) to use On2Air Actions, but for businesses that can afford it & can truly benefit from it, the cost is well worth it. I’ve never used Integromat’s Airtable integrations, but it looks like they do a similar thing to On2Air Actions — where they will scan records for updates and then trigger some sort of an action based on an updated record. We absolutely love supporting these 3rd-party companies that have stepped up to the plate to deliver us wonderful solutions! However, it’s always easier & better for the platform when the 1st-party company (Airtable) natively integrates necessary functionality like this into their platform. Thanks!

Since Slack doesn’t allow embeddable HTML in messages, it would be great if sharable blocks could have the widget capability so the block is visible within slack messages. E.g. You slack the link to the shared block and Slack expands the link so you can see the block. Right now, Slack does not expand the link to show the preview. Other platforms enable this through a ‘widget’ enhancement.
