Hi all - Starting today, we are excited to announce a new way to manage time and resources in Timeline View - ensuring you and your teams are operating efficiently no matter how complex your projects are. Plan ahead & determine resourcing needs The best way to avoid over-allocation issues is to never experience them in the first place. Thinking through project durations, budgets, and team member capacity before you start a campaign can ensure you accomplish your goals on schedule. Plan ahead with the summary bar, which automatically makes calculations based on record values. These summaries can help teams uncover resource-related data (like the average time spent on projects every week). When you pull up the summary bar in a Timeline view, you’ll get to choose from a wide range of functions to calculate summaries, including: Count Sum Average Min Max Range Median Utilization The summary bar’s utilization function is particularly helpful for calculating exactly how much of a team

We are thrilled to share that as of today, Timeline view is available in Airtable. What is Timeline view? Timeline view is a new view type that will allow you to track and visualize what’s most important to help you understand resources, events, tasks, or initiatives over time. This new view will allow you to color-code, group, filter, and sequence your records on a timeline so that you can see what’s happening, when. Some features accompanying Timeline view include: Groupings: Similar to Grid view, Timeline view allows for multiple levels of grouping, with each level being collapsible so you can see the most relevant information. Swimlanes: Records that are grouped together are displayed in a horizontally-scrolling timeline we call a “swimlane.” Several records can sit side-by-side in the same swimlane; if they overlap, they stack on top of each other so nothing gets lost. The ol’ drag-and-drop: Easily change deadlines and reassign tasks using the drag-and-drop shortcut. When you sh

Hi Airtable Community! I’m Emily, a product manager for Airtable’s Interfaces team. I’m so excited to announce a new feature that is available today: Interface Forms! What are Interface forms?Interface forms are an easy way to create new records directly in Interfaces. Using the full power of the Interface Designer layout engine, you can customize exactly what information you’d like your users to enter each time they create a new record. How can I access Interface forms? There are two ways to create a new form: Create a full-screen form using the new form layout. This should be available any time you create a new page in an Interface. You can add forms to existing pages that include a Record List or a Record Picker. Select either of these elements and toggle “Allow users to create new records” in the properties panel. From there, you can configure your form modal. Who can use these forms?Any user who has access to your Interface can access the forms you make to create new reco

 Hi all! I’m Kelly - a product manager at Airtable focused on helping users build powerful, secure apps for their org. I’m excited to introduce some powerful new features (including my personal favorite, granular permissions), as well as a new way to think about what you’re building in Airtable. Today most teams have the autonomy to choose the software and tools that work best for them. While this allows teams to move fast, it can also create massive data silos, misalignment, and disjointed collaboration. There’s critical data spread across dozens of applications, and no team has access to all of it, which can cause work to slow way down We believe it’s time to reject the trade-off between moving fast and moving together. That’s why we’re introducing the Airtable Connected Apps Platform™. The Airtable Connected Apps Platform™ lets every team create powerful applications to be shared across the organization, built on shared company data, and on the same connected platform. Buildi
