Hi, I'm very new to Airtable, but I couldn't find a solution for my issue. Maybe there is one that would make my life so much sweeter :)) Let's say we have a product and this product has 2 options: Machine 1 or 2 which machine to choose depends on another single select field in another record, with options 1 or 2. now want to use an automation if 1 is 1 create new record with 1. but somehow string arrays can't be accessed in automations. I'm trying to solve everything no-code, maybe thats the issue. thank you so much for your help. Kind regards

Hello I was wondering if there is a way to automatically populate dropdown options from data in either the same or a different table. For Example, if I have a sheet that has 5 rows (apple, banana, orange, grapes, and lemons) in one column. Then if I want to automatically add (apple, banana, orange, grapes, and lemons) into the dropdown options in another table? Is this possible? Basically, I will be adding other options in the future and I want them to automatically add to the dropdown options if they are in another table in the same base. This is just an example, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi all,I've been running into an issue with an automation that I just can't seem to figure out; basically, I have one table which contains a date column (Reachout Tracking), along with a linked field to another table which contains contacts to whom I'm sending an email (Contact List).I'm trying to set up an automation where when I update the Date Sent column, it automatically updates another date column called Date of Last Reachout in the linked table: I know that something in the automation chain here is messed up, but here's the chain I have so far. It doesn't give me errors when testing but it also doesn't achieve the desired results:Any tips for how to successfully link and have this column update automatically would be HUGELY appreciated.Thanks!Patrick 

I am new to Airtable and haven’t had luck finding a solution for this use case. Is there a native or third-party function that automatically populates a Single-Select or Multi-Select field with the values from a column as selectable options? A manual copy/paste would not work, as the data would need to be dynamic in cases where new data is added to the source column or if one of the column’s values change.

I researched older posts and found similar topics such as this, but nothing solved that answers this particular question....I want to create a field with a formula that lists any items not selected.  An applicant has to acknowledge acceptance of the "rules", and we need a list of rules they did not accept.Is this an easy do?The sample form is shown below. The ideal answer is that the 3rd item would show up in the new field with the formula.

I've searched and can't seem to find a simple solution to this problem.I have a multi-select column titled "Deliverable Owner" and there can be more than one person assigned as the Deliverable Owner.Based on these deliverable owners, I would like to create a new column that is a formula, which segments deliverables into "Team A", "Team B", "Team C" or "Multiple Teams".The formula ideally would work like this: If Deliverable Owner contains "John" and only "John" then assign "Team A", If Deliverable Owner contains "Ashley" and only "Ashley" then assign "Team B"...etc...and then last if Deliverable Owner contains multiple names, then assign "Multiple Teams".Is there a simple way to achieve this? Hi, i want to read pdfs via the open api and fill the data into predefined tables.Im not so experienced with JS, but with chatGPt I managed to receive already the correct data. Now I get an error that doesn't help me any further. I checked all fields have correct names. Is there a way to use automation to automatically store a document in the newly created data record for every newly created data record

Hello- I’m looking for some help with an automation/formula in airtable.I have a table called Inventory that has all of my products in it. I have a view that contains priority level of what needs to be produced next and the amount of space it takes up during production by product.I have another table with kiln loads (production) that I need to link all of these records to automatically by priority level and not have the kiln space exceed 90% (I have a rollup field that sums the space taken by each product). Essentially, I need the automation to start linking the products to be produced on the first record, once that reaches a max of 90% space, start linking them on the second record, and so on until all of the products to be made on the first table are linked to a kiln load.I’m pretty good at airtable but this one has me scratching my head. Hello!!I have an automation I'm creating where I need it to do a "find record" based on email address. Hello ,I have two tables: "Formation 1" and "Formation 2." In "Formation 1," you have fields such as name, surname, email, status, and phone number. In "Formation 2," you have fields like name, surname, order date, email, title, funding, and coach. The two tables are not linked.You would like to automatically transfer the same information from "Formation 1" to "Formation 2" when the status is "Refused" in "Formation 1." How can you do this using Airtable alone?

Hi all, I've got a fun little challenge on my hands designing a system to track our family's board game collection and gameplay.  Here's my base structure:Games - list of all the games in our collectionPlay Log - tracks the date, time, location, players, and outcome of all the games we playScore Sheets - this is the connecting table between the logs and the players since there can be many players in a log and a player can play many gamesPlayers - list of playerslet's use a sample record, tracked all the way through my base:Myself, hubby, and son play a game of Monopoly.  The play log tells me we played at our home on 10/16/2023 at 6:00pm and then lists the 3 of us as players linked to individual records in the Score Sheets table.  In each Score Sheet record, our final scores are recorded and calculated to determine the winner which is fed back into the Log table as the outcome.Now, multiply that same scenario by 10-15 more games played with a variety of other people.Here

Hello community! I have 15 separate single select fields with the possible answers of: 1. Firsts2. Second3. Third4. No Preference 5. I do not select this UWC I would like to create the individual columns "First" "Second" "Third" "No preference" and have the answers filter into these columns (rather than having all 15 individual columns open). Does anyone have any script suggestions to make this possible? The 15 single select column titles are: - Atlantic, Changshu, Costa Rica, Dilijan, East Africa, ISAK, LPC, Maastricht, Mahindra, Mostar, Pearson, RCN, Thailand, USA, Waterford Kamhlaba  Esentially, if someone selects:- First: Atlantic- Second: Dilijan- Third: Costa Rica- I do not select this UWC: all other columns I want to be able to see the Atlantic in column "first", Dilijan in column "second" and Costa Rica in column "third" so I an hide the 15 individual columns but still see the information I need more succinctly. Any help wo

Hi all! I am attempting to utilize data from "Sheet A" (specifically item names and quantities) and SUM the "Quantity" in "Sheet B" when the "item name" from Sheet A matches the "item name" from Sheet B. Is this possible in Airtable? I've played around with a few different formulas and field types but none have successfully produced what I'm looking for. I've also created a grouped view in Sheet A that groups by Item Name and it shows the Sum in that view if that helps.If possible, I would prefer for it to be a clean formula/rollup/link/or just about any other method than manually looking up the info from one sheet and keying it into another. To clarify - all of this information is housed in one Base just multiple sheets.Any assistance is appreciated!  

Does anyone know of a way to duplicate a base while keeping the record ids the same?We are trying to set up a "staging" instance of our Airtable tables but we have references to the record ids outside of Airtable. This causes all of the references break because new records ids are generated when we duplicate the base.Is there any way around this?Thanks,Chris

I've given my office manager shared access to a base as an editor. We both work from this same base throughout the day. I like to sort some of the tables in the base a certain way depending on what I'm working on, but she doesn't need them sorted that way and I don't want the table to suddenly look different on her end if she needs the table to be sorted the way it normally is. If I sort a table, will she see it sorted that way on her end too?

I created a form in Fillout to update fields but now when I share the unique URLs with those who want to update their information, it says that they do not have access to this base.  I'm not seeing how I can update settings without giving each person access to the entire base.  Thanks in advance!

Problem:Using a "website" type tab in Microsoft Teams to embed an Airtable via URL, gives a nasty cookies popup that won't go away. Solution:Use the URL from the embed-code instead of the normal share URL. 

I'm using the Airtable Node SDK and the type for `offset` is `number` but it throws an error of "INVALID_OFFSET_VALUE". Passing a `string` also throws an error "Error: Airtable: invalid parameters for `select`".Also, I don't get the `offset` string from the response when using the SDK.Is it possible to do pagination with the SDK? I see there's a function for `.select().eachPage()` but I'm not sure how to use it to implement pagination.If requesting via Fetch, I get the `offset` string from the response and I'm able to send it to the next request and get the next page, but how do I navigate backwards? I would need to store in a hash map ( { 0: null, 1: 'first_page/offset_string', ... } ) ?Another question is: Is it possible to implement a "normal" pagination? Like, navigate to an specific page, navigate backwards, etc.?
