Hi!I am working on a small script thats generate a XLSX file from an airtable base.I stucked at when I want to download a file. Is there any solution to download from the extension section and not from an attachment field?Thank you for any help!

Hey all,Is there any way possible to colour a multi-select field based on the colours of another field value? These fields are both linked records from another table.Scenario) I have a "Campaign/Production Pipeline" table that is stacked and coloured by STATUS.) I have another table called "Campaign Overview" which outlines all campaigns using a grid view. GoalI would like to create a visual overview of all campaigns based on their STATUS in a grid view that you can scroll through horizontally. Essentially, I would like the colours to reflect their respective statuses based on the "Production Pipeline" table. Please see the screenshots attached. I'm having an issue I hope someone can help me with.I have one table that I fill out myself with an applicant's basic contact info, including an ID number and their email address, and that I then use to track the Status of their project (projects can last from six months to multiple years). Once I set the Status of their project to "New," I have an automation set up so the contact receives an email with a link to a form to fill out with more detailed contact info that is used manually populate an invoice (my work uses a separate system for invoicing). I created a different table for the form, since a) the detailed contact info is only needed for the manual process, b) I don't want to clutter up the main table with this detailed contact info, and c) it's easier to create a form with a nice separate table vs. using only certain cells from another table.The issue that I'm running into now is how to make these two tables talk to each other. I recently started using air table as a PIM. Each product has multiple tasks that need to go to team members. I want each task to be its own task per product.(Ex Product A and Product B booth need a description but currently in tasks they are both grouped under the one "Description" task and are not able to be marked as done individually.)Is there a way to make these all 1-1 instead of 1 -many? 

I believe I noticed a discrepancy on the documentation for updating a record.The returnFieldsByFieldId parameter is not specified as being an option on the Request Body, but it is mentioned in the Response Format section. Hi everyone,I'm looking to create a formula where, given a specific day of the week, and a time range, the formula will generate an output, and then write a script where it will take the output and enter it into a Linked Field box. For example, on Wednesdays between 7:20am to 8:00am, I want to generate a result that says "Period 1." 8:06am - 8:50am would be "Period 2," and so on, so forth. We have different bell schedules for different day of the weeks. And then, once it generates the result, I want to have a script run to add the "Class Period" into the empty Class Period box. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for any help that could be provided! 

Hi all, I'm fairly new to Airtable formulas so not sure if this is actually possible.I'm trying to create a base for employees to view leave balances and submit new requests. I want to be able to show the hours used between the start date and end date but only the hours on working days excluding bank holidays. A working day would be 8 hours between 9am to 5pm.If possible I'd also like to calculate that against a persons FTE % so if a person only works 4 hours per day the working hours would be from 8am to 12pm. Requested leave from the 2nd of September 9am to the 6th of September 5pm duration 40 hours. Requested leave on the 2nd of September from 9am to 11am the duration 2 hours. Requested leave who works 50% from the 2nd of September 9am to the 6th of September 5pm duration 20 hours. I have had quite a few attempts now and have managed to get it to show 40 hours but the formula

Dear Sirs,I have the table "General" in which I select the records from another table "People" (in the same base) - via link.Then I've synced (bi-diretionally) the table "General" to a different base ("2024"); the problem is that all the fileds in "2024" are selectionale (not modificable), with the exception of the records selected by the table for which the following message appears:"This field is synced from a source that doesn’t allow it to be edited". And the selection in that record is not modificable from "2024" but only from the original "Globale",I have the Business plan. Thank you to everybody. Best regards A. We have upgraded to Business account from Team. On Team plan I had set up one way synced tables, I have changed the configuration to allow creation of records from the target base. However, I still cant create new records on the synced table. Do I need to sync the table again? I would like to avoid that because of the relations I have to renew in the target base.

Hi everyone,I'm new to Airtable and currently working on a final project for a company as part of my studies. I’m trying to set up a Timeline View for apartment bookings, but I’ve run into a few challenges:I need the timeline to display all the apartments, not just the ones that already have bookings assigned. I could potentially solve this by creating a dummy booking and assigning it to past dates, but I’d prefer a cleaner solution.The list of bookings on the side should be filtered to show only the bookings that haven’t been fully assigned yet (where "Beds Remaining to Assign" is greater than zero).A single booking should be able to be assigned to multiple apartments until the "Beds Remaining to Assign" reaches zero.Has anyone encountered similar challenges or have any suggestions on how to achieve this?Thanks in advance for your help!

OK guys, I feel silly that I can't figure this out, but I can't find this anywhere: I'm looking for a centralized log or history of automation runs.  Essentially the data you'd find if you go to "Automation history" for each individual automation, but instead, a log for the entire workspace.For reference, I'm the admin on a business-plan account.  Thanks in advance for any help!

I've built a powerful "knowledge database" from which I share multiple tables which hold various interlinked records (from one table to another). These tabels are shared across to multiple other bases I run for my businesses, benefiting from a single source of live-linked data.My problem is that the synced tables flatten out any linked records that exist, even if I've also synced the second table which holds the other side of the linked record.We want our users to be able to open and work with these linked records coming from synced tables.Is there any sign of this being improved upon by airtable?Is there any workaround for this?

Hi Aweome Airtable Community. Please could you help me understand what I am doing wrong or enlighten me as to why this is happening?I have attached a sample of the Automated email that is sent to our client with a copy of all their appointment in a grid.The issue is that the appointments do not show up in the correct date order for easy checking, and we have had complaints.Why does this happen?  Is it using a different field so sort the appointments?Thank you in advance for the advice and help     

Hello,So I'm attempting to use this new feature, however I do not know how to undo the process.I have an already synced view going from one base to another and on another table I have a synced view going to that same base which contains a linked field. I decided to setup the Sync Linked Records feature and where it said, "Sync linked tables" I clicked in there and chose that already created synced view. However, I have changed my mind and do not want to Sync that linked field. I removed the synced view from that "Sync linked tables" and removed linked field from the synced view. Unfortunately, on the other base in Update sync configuration it is still showing that field even though it was removed from the synced view. Also It's still acting like a linked field even though I attempted to backtrack and undo the process. Is there anyway to remove the linked field from the sync?Sorry if this is all confusing, I'm just trying to now only learn a new process but also

Hey guys,I have a team that is using the comments in airtable for their communication, where they tag users and user groups. When they tag users the user gets an email notification, but when they are tagged through a user group they do not get an email notification. Is there a way to turn that on?As a side note, I feel that the comments section needs an overhaul in general.Thanks!

I am seeking to copy values from certain fields on one grid / table to another table. The fields names are different for most being copied over to the other table. I currently have automation triggers that send clients an email:1. Once we approve a song and send a welcome email (For clients we're onboarding for the first time)2. Once we approve a song intake (For clients we have been working with and we're accepting new material from)If possible once things are approved from either of these automations I would like to have an automation that sends the approved songs to our "Full Repped Catalog" table. That way we can have record of everything we represent. Is this possible to do?   

Hello, I have several different lead sources filtering onto a base. I have a TEAM of real estate agents that I would like to auto-assign to a lead in a round robin fashion so once all 9 agents receive a lead the first agent will receive a second lead. We have our incoming lead base synced up to receive lead data on via zapier but how would I add on the next agent in line? I believe once this is done I can set up a zapier integration that will notify each agent that a lead has been received… Please let me know if there is a solution or formula I can use! Hey everybody, I'm building a script using Airtable Scripting and I'm looking to reference/extract/use the contents of files in a file attachment field I have. If it matters, these files are mostly PDFs, and my field may contain more than one. I want to take the contents of the file, or in cases of multiple each file, and include that in the payload of a REST API call. Right now, I am totally unable to get to the contents of the file itself in Airtable Scripting.Has somebody done this before? Could you please help out?Best,Cam

All of automations have suddenly stopped working, while they test successfully. It's not about one automation, but for every and each automation in the base. The question is, what could be causing this problem, as everything worked perfectly until now.   

When I test my automations within the Automations tab they work fine. For some reason they are not working based on trigger on live tables. Please help this is a huge problem for us.

Airtable automations have stopped working altogether for me. The Automations worked perfectly fine uptil 27th of this month(Screenshot-1 attached) but all the of sudden it stopped working(Screenshot-2 attached). I have checked all the conditional formatting and also ran a test for automations and it works fine during test but it gives error in real time automations.  I have not changed anything in the automations and I have also checked that I have not ran over the automations run per month count but it stopped working for me. Is anyone else facing the same problem. Will be grateful if someone helps me sort it out 

I have 217 Universities in the table called "Universities"I have an empty "Applicant" table that connected to a Form InterfaceI want applicants to choose their universities NOT from a "Single select" field, but "link to another table"But when the University field in Applicant table is "link to another record field", in the form interface, it says "Invalid Size". But if the field is single select, there is no such error.Please don't tell me use Single select instead. I need the other informations in the Universities table + other tables are connected to University table from different places. I also know that I can connect Universities later manually or with some automations. Yet still that is not an option and just a silly labor. We were using this future with ourselves and clients for years and it was working perfect in "form view", i thought "form interface" should have been better.

Hello everyone,I did a trigger "When record is created" and script action where i want to get the record id to be able to update the record and all stuff. To do it, I'm using input.config() but not doing well in input variables. As shown in the picture, I've created an input variable named recordId and the value should let me choose something like "Record (from step 1)" that should be the record id of the trigger. I've never used this before and I'm a bit lost. Thank you all in advance.  

We're currently using Airtable for resource management and planning in our agency. We break work items down into 'tasks' which our team work on and we estimate time before it starts. I want people, to easily be able to track the time taken against those tasks, as well as (if possible, and easily) other tasks which don't exist at the moment in the system.I have a field for time tracking (see attached) but it's a single field and as such not great for adding multiple entries for a single task which might span multiple days and so on. Plus it's only goof for if the task already exists vs. people being asked to work on stuff that isn't in the planning system yet. Not sure if I should try and build something into Airtable but it means replicating functionality of time tracking apps which already exist or if I should try and integrate. I have looked at toggl and harvest so far but neither seems perfect in trying to map a good workflow in those systems based on my Airtab
