When I test my automations within the Automations tab they work fine. For some reason they are not working based on trigger on live tables. Please help this is a huge problem for us.
Airtable automations have stopped working altogether for me. The Automations worked perfectly fine uptil 27th of this month(Screenshot-1 attached) but all the of sudden it stopped working(Screenshot-2 attached). I have checked all the conditional formatting and also ran a test for automations and it works fine during test but it gives error in real time automations. I have not changed anything in the automations and I have also checked that I have not ran over the automations run per month count but it stopped working for me. Is anyone else facing the same problem. Will be grateful if someone helps me sort it out
I have 217 Universities in the table called "Universities"I have an empty "Applicant" table that connected to a Form InterfaceI want applicants to choose their universities NOT from a "Single select" field, but "link to another table"But when the University field in Applicant table is "link to another record field", in the form interface, it says "Invalid Size". But if the field is single select, there is no such error. Please don't tell me use Single select instead. I need the other informations in the Universities table + other tables are connected to University table from different places. I also know that I can connect Universities later manually or with some automations. Yet still that is not an option and just a silly labor. We were using this future with ourselves and clients for years and it was working perfect in "form view", i thought "form interface" should have been better.
Hello everyone,I did a trigger "When record is created" and script action where i want to get the record id to be able to update the record and all stuff. To do it, I'm using input.config() but not doing well in input variables. As shown in the picture, I've created an input variable named recordId and the value should let me choose something like "Record (from step 1)" that should be the record id of the trigger. I've never used this before and I'm a bit lost. Thank you all in advance.
We're currently using Airtable for resource management and planning in our agency. We break work items down into 'tasks' which our team work on and we estimate time before it starts. I want people, to easily be able to track the time taken against those tasks, as well as (if possible, and easily) other tasks which don't exist at the moment in the system.I have a field for time tracking (see attached) but it's a single field and as such not great for adding multiple entries for a single task which might span multiple days and so on. Plus it's only goof for if the task already exists vs. people being asked to work on stuff that isn't in the planning system yet. Not sure if I should try and build something into Airtable but it means replicating functionality of time tracking apps which already exist or if I should try and integrate. I have looked at toggl and harvest so far but neither seems perfect in trying to map a good workflow in those systems based on my Airtable data being the
Not sure if this the right sub-forum to ask (or if this belongs to base design), but I do have a problem. Context is I am making a HR Leave Management System for my team and am trying to calculate Hospitalisation Leave. It is different from leaves like annual leaves where it is based on the years of service and that it resets every year. The way this leave is calculated is if you are entitled 2 hospitalisation leave for every month you have worked in the first year, and 4 hospitalisation leave every month after the 12th month(from the 13th month onwards), with a cap of 120 days of hospitalisation leave. I can easily count how many days each employee currently are entitled with these 2 formulae in 2 different fields: To calculate the amount of hospitalisation leave IF({Number of months} <= 12, {Number of months}*2, IF({Number of months} > 12, (({Number of months}-12)*4)+24, 0)) 120 days limit IF({days of SL before limit} >= 120, 120, IF({days of SL before limit} < 120, {day
HelloI am developing a Airtable Script and I am looking for extracting actual file object which is part of the attachment field in a table. I got the object using record.getCellValue("Attachment field"). This object has information like URL, Filename, MIME etc. But what I am looking for is to extract the actual object in the attachment field (this could be a JPG, TXT,PDF,video etc). I need to pass this object to be stored in the target system through API (Dropbox API). The upload API in the target is looking for an object which is stored in local system. As the object is in Airtable I am not sure how this can be passed to API.The API call is some thing like below-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------let dropboxEndpoint = "https://content.dropboxapi.com/2/files/upload";let appToken = <-- Dropbox App token -->// set up the post optionslet postOptions = {method: "POST",headers: {"Authorization" : "Bearer " + app
I changed a column in Airtable from text to a checkbox (I am filling in with TRUE/FALSE (all caps)). Now I get this when I try to insert: data: { error: { type: 'INVALID_VALUE_FOR_COLUMN', message: 'Field "Active" cannot accept the provided value' } } I have seen articles saying to add: "typecast": true but this does not work. I’m not sure that I’m adding after the right curly bracket, as none of the articles I read are explicit on this, other than ‘add “typecase”: true’ somewhere. I don’t know whether to add it after each fields entry like so, or somewhere else? { "fields": { "key": "value", "key": "value" }, "typecast": true }, It is obviously being added in the wrong place, I am getting: data: { error: { type: 'INVALID_REQUEST_BODY', message: 'Could not parse request body' } Is there an example JSON that anyone can share that has been successfully used here?
I have a table that includes a single line text field called 'Product Import' and a linked record called 'Product'. I use the CSV import extension to pull in a CSV in to this table and display the result on the Data view. When the import completes, the 'Product Import' field will have a value pulled from the CSV and if the primary field from the linked Product table matches, then this automatically links to the Product field (as image below). This shows the operator which products are already in the database and they can add the missing entries in the Product field by adding them through this screen, or going to a Product table view and adding them.My difficulty is that I cannot get this view (with the found/not found matches) to refresh. It only compares the fields on an import, not subsequently. Is there a way of doing this?
I can't understand....All my automations dont work automatically. Here is an example:Trigger:When an entry matches the condition.Completed search fieldsIf everything is valid, then update the field of another table. All the tests work, manually it updates the fields, but never automatically.I tried to change the trigger by:When an record is createdAt a certain timeNothing happens. It never fires.I have no errors in the tests, and I point out again, I have no errors, the entries were intentionally created in order to match to obtain a result.I deleted all the automations I had, completely recreated the tables to start from 0 in order to find why, well it's still the same. And the reslut of the test : Same result for all triggers. I didn't forget to update the automation... I don't understand anymore. Especially since it worked 15 days ago when I created this same automation. If you have a suggestion, I'm interested
Hi community,I'm struggling to understand why this whatsoever perfectly working tiny piece of script stops doing so when (seemingly) the 'start' date and the 'end' date are not in the same month.I am rather new to Airtable script editor so I couldn't find a step-by-step run mode, or a variable value watcher, but it seems that the 'days' variable is not computed correctly when 'start' and 'end' belong to a different month (for instance, 2024-07-15 and 2024-08-07 - however works perfectly with 2024-07-15 and 2024-07-31, and then 2024-08-01 and 2024-08-07)... leading to not entering the 'for' loop at all.Any clue anyone? Many thanks in advance! let table = base.getTable('Man.days'); let inputConfig = input.config(); const start = new Date(inputConfig.StartDate); const end = new Date(inputConfig.EndDate); const days = end.getDate() - start.getDate(); var date = start; for (let i = 0; i <= days; i++) { let record = await table.createRecordAsync({ [
Hey All I have a template table with sample dates, this is a process our company uses over and over. I am looking for the easiest way, to keep all dates relative to each other the same, but just advance all of them 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 10 weeks, etc. the goal is to take the template created now, and not modify each record by adding the time manually and make mistakes, but to be able to advance all the dates forward at the same time and by the same amount. Also, is there any way while working with a gantt chart to click and select all records after a certain date and push them back a week or two? the goal of this is to be able to quickly adjust schedules in the event of a delay, ie, leave everything that is in the past as is, and ‘grab’ all future events and bump them back x amount. thank you
I'm trying to avoid having to add a view for each new coach in a coaching engagements base. The filtered URL works beautifully in a browser, but when I add it to the embed code in the iframe, it gives me the airtable.com refused to connect message.<iframe class="airtable-embed" src="https://airtable.com/appNTRWwuGJYQDcYK/shrPcWPXGkhHeb30F/tbl38pqjIpX(rest of code hidden for privacy)&filterContains_Engagement=(First Name)+(Last Name)&filterIsAnyOf_Status=In+progress&filterIsAnyOf_Status=Awaiting+SOW&filterIsAnyOf_Status=Assigned&backgroundColor=blue&viewControls=off" frameborder="0" onmousewheel="" width="100%" height="1000" style="background: transparent; border: 1px solid #ccc;"></iframe>
I am strongly considering moving to a more expensive plan, but here are two issues that are making me question whether or not it is worth it:1. Whenever we go to create a new record in our base on a mobile device it often closes the record automatically before we have completed filling it out. We end up with a bunch of stub records that I have to go and clean up on a regular basis. This typically happens when we haven't been using the app, launch it, start to create a record, and then, it closes without warning. It's almost like the app hasn't fully loaded and synced, but our use case typically involves getting a call, launching the app, entering the order, so it happens frequently.2. When we create records and add a start and end date, the view often shows an inaccurate date for one or both of the fields. If we close the view/navigate out of the base and re-open the base, the data is usually correct, but it is confusing to enter data and see it show up incorrec
We currently are exploring if Airtable is suitable for us (small agency). As part of my investigation I ran into the upgrade options to 'Team plan'.While we only intend to have a very limited amount of editors/creators (max 3), but do like to added functionality of the Team plan, it seems impossible to reduce the amount of (6) seats in the Team plan.In my case, with 3 intended seats, I would pay minimal $40,-/seat/month (annually). How can I get a Team plan for 3 editors and unlimited commenters? Thanks for helping out 🙂
Every time I try to add creator access to the new treasurer of our school society , it doesn't work. It makes the person have commenter access but then when I try to change it to creator under the drop down menu when you go to "manage access" it tells me there's an error (Error: pglpqKAGvjJY649Z1) and I should refresh the page (which doesn't work FYI). When I try to share a link instead , the new treasurer says that she either still can't access it or that it says there are too many people on the page already. (so I tried to delete some old collaborators off the page but it still doesn't work and still says there is too many people). How can the error be fixed and how can I share the page with creator status to the new treasurer and president of our society ?
Hi! I'm new to Airtable and I'm trying to create a dynamic data base. The goal here is to have a table with Clients info and then other tables that relate to the Clients info table. Let me explain it further: I have a table called Clients info but then I also have other tables such as Spaces (which offices they are renting and other information about these offices), Communication (social media profiles, presentations and others). I want for each record on the tables Spaces and Communication be related to the Client Info table records. How can I do that? Thanks!
I am trying to extract the first 6 digits from a rollup so that the main column is automatically filled with the resulting ID, but when I use this formula, I get #ERROR in the fields.
I recently had to figure out how to get the fiscal year from a date field. Surprisingly, there wasn’t an explanation and ‘copy and paste’ formula already on here (or I just couldn’t find it). Here is my take on the challenge: To use this - Make sure you have a date field to reference labeled ‘Date’. Add 2 new fields, one labeled ‘Fiscal Year’, and the other ‘Year’. Make the one labeled ‘Year’ a formula field and copy and paste the code below into the formula area. DATETIME_FORMAT({Date}, ‘YYYY’) Make the one labeled ‘Fiscal Year’ a formula field and copy and paste the code below into the formula area. IF(IS_BEFORE({Date}, DATETIME_PARSE(CONCATENATE(‘06-30’, “-”, Year))), CONCATENATE("FY ", Year), CONCATENATE("FY ", VALUE(Year)+1)) That’s it! The end of the fiscal year in this formula is June 30th. If you have a different year end, change the ‘06-30’ in the Fiscal Year formula. I then hide the Year field and group by fiscal years. It is great for seeing historical trends.
Dear All,Newbie here! To simplify our current workspace, we would like to duplicate our main base (let's call it A) and delete any entries in the duplicated version (B) with a deadline after June 2023. B will be used as archive for our past work. Then we would like to run an automation in A to remove any content with the deadline set till June 2023 (so we are only using what is for use " current content")This is a one-time automation; we do not need it to run multiple times. How can I set up the script for each scenario? Thank you in advance for your support and guidance, Best regards,Catherine
I have seen Airtable use the thumbnail attached in this post to promote its interface webinars and more. But I can't find anywhere how to add a map interface as shown in this thumbnail, and the community posts I can find about maps are quite old and don't answer it. Does anyone know how to create this??
Hi Guys, I want to send a document (attachment field in Airtable) for digital signing and then have the returned document saved in Airtable also. Effectively the unsigned document will be loaded into Airtable via a form and once certain conditions are met it will be sent to another recipient for digital signing. Is this possible through integromat or zapier? I don’t have a preference on signing platforms as of yet - just whatever will work really. Thanks in advance, Theo
Use case: Within an table (called ‘Meetings’) user creates a new record (i.e. a meeting) User adds date/time, text description, attendees (collaborator field), videoconference link (link field), etc. Automation sends a invite to each attendees email address (from collaborator field) as an email with .ics attached or alternatively as an MS Outlook Invite. NB. this is not the same as much of the functionality which just creates a record in a user’s calendar - as this doesn’t provide sufficient notification/visibility to the attendee that they’ve been added to a meeting. They need to receive an email - which can then create an event in their calendar. I can send an email from a record easily, but making this an invite/event or adding an ics had eluded me. Any suggestions welcome?
I am looking for the Airtable equivalent of a HAVING clause in SQL.I have a view with the following fields (columns):NameTimestampPointsDeltaNow I want to add another field named PointsTotal which should be automatically computed as the sum of the PointsDelta of all records in that same table having a Timestamp <= the Timestamp of the current row.I tried to do this with rollup but there is no way to enter that condition. How can I accomplish it?Example data:Name | Timestamp | PointsDelta | PointsTotal------+--------------+-------------+------------foo | 24/8/24 7:15 | 5 | 5bar | 24/8/24 8:21 | -3 | 2baz | 24/8/24 9:07 | 10 | 12
Hello everyone! I am designing a table in my Airtable Base that allows my employees to create invoices as records. I would like them to be able to link materials from the Materials table so they can add several materials that they had used on the job within the same field. I would like to know if there is any possible way to select a quantity for the items in the field. For example, if I select an item, I would like to select the quantity I used of that item. Please keep in mind that the field is linked to the materials field as “Link to another record.” Here is a screenshot of the Invoices table: I appreciate anyone’s help in advance. Thank you!
