Hi everyone, I'm building a personell planning Module where you have your Project and you can assign workers to the project for certain time periods. The basic Idea/Tables behind is: 1. Projects: All info about the project. Start & end Date coming from "timeslots"2. Timeslots: Can be either a project or work term. Work terms are linked to projects. I then set up a timeline view and see my project and am able to plan out work terms beneath it (grouped by project, sub grouped by type). This is all nice and well. However there is one fundamental Problem: If I group by Project, sorting by date suddently does not have any effect anymore. Ideally I want to have the current projects at the top and the further down i go, the further they are in the future. But like this I have lots of projects inbetween that only start sometime in the future. Is there any way I can solve this? Weirdly enough it should be solved by sorting by date but once I group it,

Probably a niche use case but wondering anyone can think of a way to make this happen.I'm trying to use airtable to organize some wire and cable take-off quantities and routing for a large scale construction project. The main entities (tables) are wire/cable, conduit, and pull/junction boxes. The boxes are like the nodes, the conduit link nodes together, and the wire runs through the conduit and boxes from an origin box to a terminal box. There may be many levels of branching. Possible that there is some spider-webbing as opposed to just straight branching but not positive yet (rare if so).I have the table setup so that there is a record of conduits, with an "origin" and "destination field each linking to the table of pullboxes. This link defines the end points, or nodes, of the conduit IE Conduit #1 goes from Pullbox A to Pullbox B. Conduit #2 goes from Pullbox A to Pullbox C, Conduit #3 goes from Pullbox B to Pullbox D, Conduit #4 goes from Pullbox D to Pullbox E, etc etc. Always goi

Hi all, I have the following issue:I have 3 different Interfaces: WorkTeamProduct RelatedEach with multiple Views. The "Team" Interface is more like team internal.So I want to share the "Work" and "Product Related" Interface with most of the company via a link. However, as soon as I select more than one Interface, the "Invite by link" option is gone. Is there a way to do it? A colleague with the free plan mentioned that he is able to share multiple Interfaces at the same time. We didn't figure out what is different though. Would be little bit annoying/confusing if everything has to click on 2 links. Single Interface selected: Multiple selected:  

Hi,I want to automate my work with emails to clients every 3 monthes.the problem is my languge is RTL (right to left).how can I send the clients emails that are RTL?with HTML it doesn't work since the variables doesn't work in HTML.

I have a CSV file delivered weekly with information about grant opportunities. I've been importing this file into Airtable, however, many of these grants include multiple submission deadlines throughout the year so I'm struggling to find the best way to be able to use the submission deadline as a true date field for sortability.The CSV file has a text-formatted column for dates. The cells also include "Submission: " before each date. I was planning on find/replacing out the "Submission: " text and then formatting the text as a date, but some of these cells actually contain multiple entries. Hi,I have a table called Launch Calander that I link records from other tables like Email task, Website tasks and Digital & Print tasks.The lookup fields for all the other records show fine in the Launch Calander except for Email.I've tried deleting the linked record for email and starting over by creating it again from within the Launch Calander, then creating Lookup Fields and making sure they are linked to the Email Linked Record. Yet, nothing shows up.

Hi community, I’m building up automation with Gmail sending records to the mail address of the person who filled out the form. I used the Rollup field to pull the email address from the other table. I’ve run 50+ times testing trigger and all the steps which showed no error, but it never succeeded while actually performing the automation after submitting the form. I’ve also tried to delete and rebuild automation for 3 times but still in vain. I also assured that every cell of mail is not empty. I attached some screenshots of the condition. Is there any suggestion to fix the problem? Much appreciated!

I am mapping out the content in an academic program with the following levels:Program ObjectivesCourse ObjectivesModule ObjectivesAssessmentsI have a separate table for each of these levels.Starting at the bottom, an assessment in one of the courses is connected up to one more Module Objectives. Each MO is linked up to one or more Course Objectives. Each CO is linked up to one or more Program Objectives.I'd like to visualize these connections. It seems the flowchart extension is what I need, except it only works with self-linked records. In other words, I would need to combine all 4 levels into a single table. This is problematic because I need the levels on separate Tables. I considered copying/pasting the primary fields and the fields that link each to the other level over into a new Table that I could use for flowchart purposes. I haven't tried it to make sure it would work yet, but even if it does, my next issue will be keeping redundant information up-to-date as this is a wor

I've used Airtable for several years and have a workspace with approximately 80 bases.  Prior to one of the "upgrades", I had organized my bases in a way that was easy for me to find which base I was looking for and that made sense to me.  Now that the workspaces are sorted by opened by you, alpha, or last modified, it is very time consuming to find the particular base that I am looking for.  The "upgrade" may have been great for many people, but it was horrible for me.I have looked and can't seem to find a way to manually sort my bases so that they stick.  I suspect that this is no longer an option for me.Does anyone have an answer?I tried to contact support, but it has been several weeks and the only communication that I received from them was asking if I had received an answer yet.  Of course, I had not, because no one had answered. Thanks! 

I need to be able to export a airtable views from the mobile app. Do I have any options?-It doesn't appear that there is any functionality for this currently in the app- It doesn't appear possible with automations- There doesn't appear to be any extentions that do this- There are third party apps, but as a small charity we can't really justify paying for one for this use

Im trying to set up a BOM (Bill Of Materials), but i have thousands ind different categories and subcategories. I though it could use the use the new dynamic filtering in the the link fields, but as there a many seperate sub categories depending on the material it ends up being quite messy.So I thought I maybe can rig something up in a script extention to have the user run through a bunch of questions to filter out all the irrelevant records to finally be asked to choose from a narrowed down list (as if the user would be choosing records from filtered view). Is this possible with the script extention?

Hi, Airtable community!I'd love to pick anyone's brains at how I've set up my base.The issue I'm trying to solve feels rather simple. I want to display my attendance record when it gets marked.My current set-up:I have two tables; One with a record of all my lessons, and one with a record of all my students. These tables are linked twice. One link shows students scheduled for the lesson, and the other shows students who attended. I have automations that let me add students from my scheduled link to the attended link with a click of a button in an interface.I'd love some thoughts on how to display the attended students. I could have an empty "attended" field on the side that fills up as I run my automations, but I'd like it to be displayed directly on the students already displayed with the "scheduled" field.Here are a few of my current thoughts. I designed some simple list based interfaces for my database. when loading them in app on android or iOS, I get an error message:"this page is not currently supported on mobile. open the page on desktop to view it"Not sure why this wouldn't be supported. each page is just a list element with some filters. a couple use groups, and a couple have a filter element. apps are all current (6.4.0 on android & 10.7 on iOS).

I have a simple Zapier automation running creating a record in Base2 after certain criteria met in Base1, this is working fine. But I need to include a User in Base2, and Zapier doesn't seem able to do that unless I have a corresponding User field in Base1 -- but Base1 has no Users fields! I can't add everyone on my team to Base1 just to be able to do this automation, besides that it's adding them to a Base they never need to use and wasn't built for User Fields at all, it also will cause mayhem from the useless "you've been mentioned on this card" emails everyone will get. I just need a corresponding Name (linked record text field) to correspond with a User, without actually utilizing a User Field in Base1. Any advice? Airtable support doesn't help with Zapier and I didn't find any existing articles on this.

Hello everyone,I'm a beginner on Airtable, I don't really know where to post this message, so sorry in advance if it's in the wrong place, I have some ideas for resolution but it could be in automation, base design or then formulas, I chose to post in Other questions.I couldn't put a screen shot because the data is sensitive. 🙏I'd like to know how it's possible to keep the previous information that filled a field.Let me explain:We're doing a small CRM.So I use the Kanban view based on status and when a customer record hasn't been modified for 4 days, I've been asked to set up an automation so that the customer record goes into "Action Required" status.The aim would be to have an action to return the customer file to the previous status once the action has been carried out by the sales person.The problem is that we have 7 different statuses, so the previous status can be 6 different statuses.I thought of a button, but the rollback action (based on a record) doesn't seem to exist

HelloI've creating a function to act as a rudimentary web scraper to grab some meta data like the page title, description etc using the `fetch()` api. In an automation, this works perfectly as expected. But in a scripting extension, my `try...catch` throws an error message of "Failed to fetch".Are there some restrictions/limitations between automation scripts and extension scripts when it comes to using `fetch()` ?

I am aware it's possible using Zapier/Make/n8n/BuildshipApp etc, but this is all external apps, too much work to configure. Google Gemini has a very generous free API plan and I would be keen on getting it to work but I have no programming experience. Wondering if anybody figured out a way.
