I'm trying to use curly brackets to insert field content into a text box, but it shows up as "Course Name: {Course Name}" on the designed page instead of inserting information from the Course Name field. How can I make Page Designer recognize that that's a field name?

Hey guys,I am so excited about the updated Record Review layout, my team has been waiting for a way to filter and sort within the side record picker. I am trying to find a way to update my current record review layouts to use this new feature but can't seem to find a way. Is there a way to convert the old layouts? I don't want to have to rebuild my pages. Thanks!

Hi! I am using airtable to keep track of several types of info connected to individual clients. However, sometimes I need partners/spouses' names to be in the same column. Is there a way to write a formula that only runs when certain conditions are met?For example, as seen in the picture below, my current formula for IN PROGRESS: Client and Spouse column is {First Name (from Spouse/Partner)} & ' and ' & ({Full Name}) I would like that formula to run IF there is a spouse, and I would like the IN PROGRESS: Client and Spouse column to only populate info from the Full Name column if there is no spouse/partner.I tried writing IF statements, but I couldn't figure out.Thank you!

I hope I put this question in the correct area.I am developing a base to use for a contracting business, and I have a column for Distance Driven to job (to calculate fuel used in a different column)when I create the job for the client, it auto inputs the job address into a column, is there a way to have it auto calculate the distance to drive (by inputting my business address as always being the starting address, and the job address being the ending address?)Currently when I am creating the job for the client in the base, I have to open Google maps in a separate page, and input my business address and job address by hand, and manually transfer the number of miles into the base.There has to be a better way, right?

Hello all, I have a table to document my driving activity within my business. It has 3 colummns: Start adress End adress Distance from start to end adress. My question is: Is it possible to autopopulate the third column with the distance between 1. and 2. based on some automation/calculation/script etc. ? Thanks in advance!

I was thinking If this is possible. what if we keep our email user the same but just change the billing? Like, we could have our user account email as user.account@gmail.com, and for billing, we could use billing.account@gmail.com. What do you think?

I have a student financial table named OTA Financial where the OTA number and other information is manually added. That is synced with the Financial workspace tab in the student table. Then the students are connected through the OTA number in the main student table to import information from the OTA Financial.  I have spent several hours setting this up and connecting the OTA's.  They were working. Then the next time I go into the table it is not updating the financial workspace tab with the information that is listed in the OTA financial.  It is not letting me just sync the tables and I can't keep going over this and resetting it up every time I add a new person.  What the heck is going on and why does it not work over a period of days?

Hi there,I tried to empty the data in a certain view however that deleted all the information from the original base also. I am unable to undo the action, and when I look in the trash the information is not there either. The base still recognises that are 87 applicants from my application form, however there is no information in the base. I have also created a snapshot from yesterday, however since then more people have submitted an application form and so there is some data missing stillThanks in advance for any helpThanks in advance

I have a pie chart with a lot of values but a large quantity of them are '0' in certain slices of the data. Is there a way to hide/remove the '0' values from the legend?

Hi! I'm having trouble with a formula where it brings back text and adds " " when it is done. Here is the layout:Column 1: Formula cell with the following formula {Client} & ' - ' & {Total Volume}Column 2: Linked to another table, displays {Client} names (Example: John)Column 3: {Total Volume} quantity (Example: 10)What I want to get from this formula is = John - 10What I'm getting from this formula is = “John“ - 10Is this because I am linking to another table? It does not happen with every value from the {Client} column! 

Hi… I’m looking for a scripting solution that lets me auto-populate a field with a parent and child relationship. Eg - Column 1 has the children Column 2 has the parent of the child I’m wondering if I can write a script that can populate a new column with the tree hierarchy like this - wco:WC Interface → wco:Area → wco:Block → wco:Image Card → wco:Hero Image Card I have looked at a solution posted by joao_melo which works. But i’m wondering if this is doable in a script?

I have seen the same question asked elsewhere (link below) but it didn't really deal with another implication of combining a table and separating items by a type record.My question is, what is the best practice for setting up a contacts table in Airtable where those contacts could be clients or suppliers etc. If I was designing this in a traditional database my practice would be to make 1 contacts table and distinguish these by a field that indicates what type they are. The advantage is I dont need to maintain all of the different fields needed for a contact across multiple tables. The issue with doing this in airtable seems to be that I cannot easily create forms to add a contact or add a supplier (where the default values are hidden from the user) and as a result I cannot seem to trigger any automations from these actions. I dont want to spend time working on work arounds to achieve what I would like to do.So what do most developers

Hi friends! I am hoping this is easy, but I'm noob enough to not even know how to search up an answer in support/forums.My specific use is retreat registration. I have one table for Retreat Participants and a second for the possible Retreat Rooms.The "Retreat Rooms" table has a field for the rate for Solo Occupancy, and a field for the rate for Shared Occupancy.In my "Retreat Participants" table, I have a checkbox to indicate "solo occupancy". I would like there to be a field in the Participants table that then returns the correct room rate based on whether or not this checkbox is ticked.Let me know if you need further information or explanation, and if you have any tips! I don't know if this is an "If/Then" or "Switch" or what 😵‍💫 Thank you!

Hi!I am testing airtable to see if we can use it to accomplish our needs and have hit a snag with this Project Profiles interface. I created a spreadsheet that feeds the interface, each row is a "project" but I need to display associated data at the bottom of the interface in table format.There is a way to do this by linking to a separate table, but I don't see a way to set the tables as an intuitive 'child' to the given project so that the process is more automated.

My Production Schedule is synced to an external calendar subscription informing our entire cast and crew WHAT we're shooting - WHEN - but even though the physical address of WHERE we're shooting (i.e.: where they all need to be) - or even zoom hyperlinks (with the passwords embedded for virtual production meetings) - are detailed ON the customized labels, that doesn't transfer to the calendar subscription.All they get is an Airtable URL - and even if they click that link - it doesn't reveal the address - which is selected as an option for the customized label. What's the point of the customized label when it doesn't sync the info you select?How/where can I add LOCATION to my calendar subscriptions?

Hi,Please share your ideas. I'm not sure if it is possible or not.I have three tables Project, Budget, and Products. The Budget table has multiple fields that are linked to Project and Products, and the view of the Budget table is grouped by Project Name field. The Product table has multiple fields and one of the fields name is called Status. Whenever I create a new Project in the Project table. By default, Budget table should be updated with the New Project Name and integrate with Product table records that are in Status Active.

I'm trying to figure out the best way integrate my Airtable base with Sages brightpearl.Will this be possible using a script extension?Or should I use Make?Has anyone done this before and what will you recommend? 

I have an attachment field containing images. I see that the stored attachment object has a url property. In another formula field I would like to show just the attachement url. Any ideas? Thanks.

I know I am late to the game here. I have been ignoring the updates until now. I currently have uploads and the links for the uploads through a formula - which allows me to create a download button.I use these so in the public share link to my base - users can quickly select the download button instead of opening the record and downloading the actual file. The airtable documentation says the url will stop working when in formulas. This sounds like my use case scenario. Does anyone know if this will this continue to work going forward?Obviously I thought this was meant to stop working in November, so either they haven't got to my base yet or I am in the clear (because it still works)...If this function will stop working - is there an alternative way to achieve what I am doing when the change happens?
