Hi, Airtable community!I'd love to pick anyone's brains at how I've set up my base.The issue I'm trying to solve feels rather simple. I want to display my attendance record when it gets marked.My current set-up:I have two tables; One with a record of all my lessons, and one with a record of all my students. These tables are linked twice. One link shows students scheduled for the lesson, and the other shows students who attended. I have automations that let me add students from my scheduled link to the attended link with a click of a button in an interface.I'd love some thoughts on how to display the attended students. I could have an empty "attended" field on the side that fills up as I run my automations, but I'd like it to be displayed directly on the students already displayed with the "scheduled" field.Here are a few of my current thoughts. I designed some simple list based interfaces for my database. when loading them in app on android or iOS, I get an error message:"this page is not currently supported on mobile. open the page on desktop to view it"Not sure why this wouldn't be supported. each page is just a list element with some filters. a couple use groups, and a couple have a filter element. apps are all current (6.4.0 on android & 10.7 on iOS).

I have a simple Zapier automation running creating a record in Base2 after certain criteria met in Base1, this is working fine. But I need to include a User in Base2, and Zapier doesn't seem able to do that unless I have a corresponding User field in Base1 -- but Base1 has no Users fields! I can't add everyone on my team to Base1 just to be able to do this automation, besides that it's adding them to a Base they never need to use and wasn't built for User Fields at all, it also will cause mayhem from the useless "you've been mentioned on this card" emails everyone will get. I just need a corresponding Name (linked record text field) to correspond with a User, without actually utilizing a User Field in Base1. Any advice? Airtable support doesn't help with Zapier and I didn't find any existing articles on this.

HelloI've creating a function to act as a rudimentary web scraper to grab some meta data like the page title, description etc using the `fetch()` api. In an automation, this works perfectly as expected. But in a scripting extension, my `try...catch` throws an error message of "Failed to fetch".Are there some restrictions/limitations between automation scripts and extension scripts when it comes to using `fetch()` ?

I am aware it's possible using Zapier/Make/n8n/BuildshipApp etc, but this is all external apps, too much work to configure. Google Gemini has a very generous free API plan and I would be keen on getting it to work but I have no programming experience. Wondering if anybody figured out a way.

Hi there,I'd like to set up an automated weekly email for pending leave applications, but only if there are actually pending leaves. When I tried using conditions linked to individual records, it sent multiple emails. And when I used scheduling as a trigger, it still sent an email even if there were no pending leaves. I have an interface with this summary, but can't seem to use it in the automation. Has anyone figured out a solution for this?

Hey folks,I'm having a strange problem with updating records in my Airtable. I set up an automation where it checks if a record with a specific user ID exists. If it does, it updates the record, and if not, it creates a new one.I deleted all the records from the table. Now, even though the table is empty, the update is failing because the automation is finding two record IDs that don't exist anymore.Empty Table:Run automation :The update will fail as it refers to the previously deleted records' IDs. Is it a cache issue of some sort?Any ideas on how to fix this?Thanks!

I have a ticketing system built out in interfaces. Id like for people to have ability to "thumbs up" an open ticket. Almost like a community voting on which feature I should add next. Ideally, would love to only let each user vote once per record id but I know thats alot to ask for. Is there a way I could accomplish this via a clever button or something? On an Interface page I just display a grid of open tickets, and would be great if you could just click a Button field inside of the grid to vote up on it. 

Hi Airtable Community,I have a table with events. New events can be added via a form and various needs can be requested for the event using a multiple selection field.A record is generated in a second table for each need.I have currently created an automation for each selection option as I have not yet found a way to do this dynamically. However, as there are now around 30 different needs, I would like to make the automation dynamic. Any ideas for a solution? The problem is that the need has to be named correctly and I can't pull this information dynamically from the multi-selection field.Thank you and BestMirko 

We a long term property rental company in Thailand and we keep getting requests such as need additional towels, pillows or something broken to be fixed in rooms or cleaning to be done. We are a remote team and our housekeeping/technicians will fulfill these requests. Unlike normal hotels which have a dedicated staff within their properties, we have taken multiple rooms in multiple properties on lease. Hence a dedicated staff for each property is not economically viable. I want to create a form for each of our customers who would wish to get the services we want. I have 3 tables: plants, fertilizers, and schedule. In the schedule I set on a date certain fertilizers and plants. And also it has field "done" - planned or done.So I want a calendar view for each plant where I can see when and what fertilizer I have used.Could you please help, How can I do this? Hi everyoneI have an Interface built out that has a record picker with fields and such below. I'm wondering if theres another way to get a user to that page and pre-fill the record picker. If I let users just expand details via a grid/list/gallery it's not as in-depth as if I use a record picker + regular page combo, so I want to get users there another way. I tried using ?prefill but it didnt work. Maybe someone knows of a workaround? Wish you could connect a filter to a record picker, but ya can't. I'm just trying to make charts and graphs and have more than 2 buttons in a grouping 😭

Hi Community. I'm new to Airtable automations so apologies for what may be an overly complex workflow - any suggestions to improve it are welcome. Goal: send an automated email when someone "invites a friend" on a website. Email will say "Hi {friend's name}, your friend {user's name} {user's email} recommended you join this site", etc. How I've set it up so far: Airtable table with fields Friend's name, Friends email, User's name, User's email Concatenate formula to combine the above fields into a message something like "Hi {friend's name}, your friend {user's name} {user's email} recommended you join this site"Automation to send an email using the text from the Concatenate formula Problem: there doesn't seem to be a way to format the text so when the email sends, it's just a long string of unformatted text. Does anyone know a better way to set this up?

Hello - I am new here and trying to create a base for following cash flows in my various accounts, cash or petty cash.Thanks to sources I found here, I succeeded to create deposit and withdrawal through two tables, one for accounts and one for transactions, and a rollup structure to calculate the balances of each account under the deposit/withdrawal transactions. However my concern is related to "transfer" transactions between accounts. When it is a "transfer" transaction, I want the rollup to subtract the amount value from the transferring account and add the amount value to the receiving account. I mean, when the number of accounts and the rollup transactions becomes two, I cannot find a practical (or sophisticated! 🙂 ) solution for such purpose, so that;(a) I select the "transfer" as the transaction type;(b) I enter the amount of the transaction;(c) I select the From and To accounts separately;(d) The amount becomes withdrawal for first

our airtable is automated in sending email notification whenever a new data is added in google calendar. however, i've noticed recently that it sends email notifications excessively and was wondering how to fix it. it's excessive to a point where if you just adjust the time in an event in calendar, it sends email notifs as seen below. the trigger to the action is "when a google calendar event changes"even though i can change the script logic to only add the guest if the change in event was a new guest, it will still run the automation and therefore count towards the number of automations run each monthis there a way to figure out why the google calendar events are changed? i can't see it when looking into it

Hi, is there an option to stop the Formula Helper dialogue box appearing when I click in the Formula edit box?The thing obstructs visibility of the formula when I'm trying to edit.   I'm having to click out of the formula edit field to close the dialogue in order to see all parts of the formula. 

Hello - I am trying to get a total count field if student's have passed multiple tests. There are six fields representing each test. Within each multi select field the contents contain: Drop downs for fields:  Pass 4/5/24, Pass 4/17/24, Fail 4/5/24, Fail 4/17/24.  I want to use a multi-select tool so if/when they retake the test, I can note which date they passed or failed. Fields:Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 Test 4 Test 5 Test 6 I would like another column to say, if the fields contain pass, then count it as one. If a student passes 4 out of 6 of the tests, I would like the column to have the total = 4. I am stuck combining the multiple fields. Hi,I'm looking at trying to create a simple invoice e-mail to be sent out as a result of an automation. I can basically get all the needed data in, but struggle with getting visually at least semi-appealing ;).I read the manual about markdown and that some html can be used. I also looked at the instructions regarding including images in the mail. However:with the limited html on offer, has anybody been able to build any form of layout (other than vertical listing 😉 )? Could CSS and <span> be used to, say, get a right side header column? Or should I try to build views of the relevant tables and insert the data as grids?if I include images (one top banner, one logo) as attachments from a table, they are not just plain images, but have some frames around them. Hello!We have former users with Creator permissions that we would like to move to non-billable to save funds for a nonprofit.When we disabled a former "Creator" user, other users were no longer able to manage rows through a particular view or interface.How can we locate (and bulk move!) all created/permissioned collateral like automation, views and interfaces from one user to another?I could do this with a regular SQL database, however the nonprofit prefers for data entry using Airtable and thus I need some assistance to work within existing management tools provided 🙂Thank you!

Hi, I'm new to automations on Airtable and am facing an unusual error:"Name is "foo", Invalid filter on Email (Invalid choice name or id: foo@bar.baz)"My "Find records" step has two conditions (OR), attempting to match on "Name" or "Email".Here you can see a successful test, when a match is found:It is also successful when no match is found, BUT when only "name" is used, and not both name and email, finding 0 results (expected behaviour).  BUT when adding the email condition bac, when there are no matches, it gives the error: This seems
