Good morning, I am working on an Interface and I want to add a drop down filter for a specific field in the table I am using. But Airtable is only offering me one field and it is a linked field. Is there a reason that a native short text field is not available to use as a filter? This Interface is of no value if I cannot filter by this field. I do not want my users to have to use the filter button the top right as it requires skills most of them do not have.Thanks for any help you can give.Thanks, Scott

I want to combine cells into one address block, but if there are no addresses I want the cell to remain blank. I'm having trouble creating this. Hello! I got unexpected behavior in airtable web api.I use "Update multiple records" (https://airtable.com/developers/web/api/update-multiple-records) method for update or create records if not exists in my table. I use it with "upsert" parameter with two key fields like ["Handle", "Image Position"]. First one is text, second one is number.Expected behavior: update records if them exists, otherwise create new. Got behavior: always create new records.Note that updating with one key field works as expected.In general we need method to import records to airtable from our internal database and keep them up to date.

I’ve made a GPT assistant for e-com clients that can recommend products. This tool is made on make.com. The scenario is made with webhooks, open ai module (convert user query to airtable formula), search airtable records, open ai module (encode formula to URL) and airtable make an api call module.Everthing works except the api module. Hello,Something strange is happening in an automation that queries a view and sends it via Gmail as a table.I have configured two numeric fields that the only thing that changes is the format. In one I have it as a currency and in the other as a number.But the format to show in terms of separation of thousands and decimals is the same. The problem is that when I send the email from Gmail, it only keeps the format that I want to show correctly in the currency field, but not in the other one. Could it be a system error?

I there a block or formula that will create barcodes for items in my database using the individual fields in each table? Example: I have an item with a auto number, name, retail price, taxable fields that I want to capture in a barcode. How can I accomplish this? Jay

So possibly a unique case here that I haven’t seen anything on yet. Looking at using airtable for welding production tracking on a construction site. The work, in simple terms, is welding a bunch of steel plates together on a wall to make a continuous plate. If you can imagine a series of rectangles lined up on a wall, each seam between rectangles is a weld. We currently have a list of all individual plates on the job, and then have fairly complex ID #s (29M1LGE22 for example, each character defining a certain position). The way you would identify what WELD you want to pull up would be to search two plates that are adjacent, and the weld ID would be the conjunction of those two plate IDs (is 29M1LGE22-29M1LGE23). We will be doing many welds per day, so as you can imagine writing down or searching out every individual ID would be very tedious. My thought/hope is to slap a barcode on every single plate and log those barcodes into a database.

I need to add 100 barcodes to physical objects. The objects are already in a database. I can create 100 barcode numbers outside AirTable but then I need to scan each one to add to the barcode to the barcode field in AirTable. Time consuming. Or I could add the numbers to the barcode field? No I can’t … then the AirTable barcode field will not generate the barcode image to be able to print and attach to the physical object. Has anybody got any ideas?

I'm trying to create an airtable that will intake many records over the course of day (numbers) in individual rows and then get the sum total of all rows by day. i want the sum to be its own output (i.e. not just the "grouped by" sum function) so i can use it for other uses and visualizations.i have my main table created and the intake form. however, when i try to create a second table and link records, i can't quite figure out how to (1) automatically import records as they come in and (2) create a sum by date in that table.

 I see that Interface forms have validation for dates. Question is how to set it up? I would like to set up the start date to be 14 days from today, but the Range limit doesn't allow dynamic settings. What does this Range limit help with then?

Hi all, I'm building a task management base with a Timeline interface set to the Gantt display mode.  I am interested in utilizing the critical path feature mentioned in the help site for Gantt views but I can't seem to find the settings for it on the interface side.  Does it not exist for interfaces???  TIA!

I have a Jotform that populates an airTable base.  If someone submits an exact duplicate form, I created a vew that shows ONLY those submissions that have duplicates.  I have a checkbox in that view that when I click it, it hides that entry from that view, and (Importantly), it hides the other submission because the two submissions are no longer exact duplicates. This works great.  What I am looking for is a way (automation) that will automatically click one of the two.One slight complication is that there can be 3 identical submissions and I want the automation to click the checkbox on all but one of the submissions. That one unchecked will still disappear from the view because it is no longer a duplicate.

Hi all -- I set up an automation to trigger a personalized email every time I click a checkbox in a table. I connected and reconnected my Google account, but am not receiving an email even though it says the test was successful.The email I'm trying to send *from* is my work email, if that makes any difference (wondering if our Google admin might have a security setting that would prevent from automated sending, but not trigger an error when testing).Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a record of emails in one table titled "Clients" and in another table labeled "Appointment History".For every time the status of an appointment is changed from "booked" to "completed", I want to send an email to the client for customer feedback. I generate records through the week that all pertain to an event on Saturday. For organising these records into a week-by-week historical view (and for ease of human use on Saturday), I want to be able to automatically tag all of these records for the Saturday they pertain to. I have searched and tried a few things - this is the formula I got closest with:IF(WEEKDAY(Created)=6,DATEADD(Created,0,"days"), DATEADD(Created,6+WEEKDAY({Created}),"days")) Where "Created" is the date the record is generated. However, this generates a record for the previous Saturday. I have the below interfaceThe idea is to give the service team members a touchable sheet they can use a tablet to checkoff when putting a cart together. However, the checklist is not editable inside of the interface which seems really stupid to not be able to do, plus for whatever reason isn't even viewable inside of a tablet/phone so defeats the purpose entirely. Hi, Rookie question; I have 3 columns “Full Name” (which has the formula to join the next two columns) “Last name” and “First Name”, putting a comma in between. The formula I’m using is: CONCATENATE({Last name}&", "&{First name}) The issue is when Last name and First name are blank (empty records), the formula runs indefinitely in the Full Name column creating rows and only putting in the comma (see pic). How do I stop this?

I have linked voiceflow via API with airtable, this works. I would like to filter via FilterByFormula in the parameters, if I then filter on just the order number it works fine. If I filter on just the email address it works fine, but if I filter on both I get the error INVALID_REQUEST_UNKNOWN, with the message Invalid request: parameter validation failed. Check your request data. How can I solve this?

Hey guys I've created a new base, where one of the tables syncs to another table in a separate base. Got everything working however, inside of the interface in the NEW base, the button to update a field in the linked table does not work. Any ideas?  

Hi Airtable Community, When applying the TRIM function to fields that are lookup fields from another table I receive an error. However when testing other formula’s E.g. Concatenate that does work this particular situation using Linked/lookup fields from another table. I would assume that the all functions gather data in the back-end in the same way. Can one confirm this is actually not possible to use TRIM in combination with Lookup Field type? Thank you

Hi! I am unsure if it is possible to create a formula to make this work for my school, please help!I have a base created to track all applicants. We offer 5 trade classes each held 3 times a year that have a minimum age requirement; age 16yrs and 8mths (Culinary), age 17yrs (Welding and Phlebotomy), age 17yrs and 6mths (Heavy Equipment and Electrical). Currently I have a formula for DOB and age as of the current date. I would like a way to populate which upcoming class the applicant will first be eligible for. e.g. Applied for Culinary Arts, will be age eligible starting with our fall class in October of 2024. Right now I am plugging each DOB into an age calculator based on our start dates and selecting a drop down myself but would love if I could make this work with a formula in Airtable! Thanks!
