Hello! I have created a student database and while the linking between tables worked as recently as last week, the copy/paste function appears not to work anymore. Specifically, on the ‘Contacts’ table (see screenshot), any time a new record (student) is added, I would like to copy and paste that name into other columns which link to other tables such that the names show up in those other tables. For example, as seen in the screenshot, I would like to copy and paste the name ‘Kamala Harris’ to ‘Snapshot_link’ such that it shows up on the Snapshot table. However, I’m unable to do so-- I get a ‘Pasting…’ message and nothing happens. Currently the Name field is a formula, but it won’t work even if I make it a single line text.

Hey,Something super basic to do in any excel, python script etc. but how to get in in Airtable?I want to create some kind of ID for each customer. First customer has number 900100, and each new one (this is a child table) should get the number +100, so 900100, 900200 etc.Is there any way to do so? (ps autonumber is not an option as you can edit it, if something goes wrong and you add a row by accident it ruins the sequence)

How do I concatenate these two fields so they show values with not so many digits. I would like to show 2 decimal digits.

We have an automation through Make.com which uses an API call to import data into Airtable. This has run for 18 months without issue. We are recently getting an error 'Field cannot accept the provided value' The data is a text string which begins with a hash e.g. '# 100'. The field is not a computed or linked field, it is a single line text field. I cannot see what has changed that this data cannot be accepted now. Any help?

Hi Everyone! I'm trying to design a judging system for a science fair styled event but I'm wondering if there's an easy way to do the judging assignment through airtable or if I can do it through Excel then transfer to airtable. Right now I have three tables: 1. Judges (All the judges are named and given a unique number) 2. Projects (Each team & their assigned table) 3. Scoring (A grid + form view where each judge can select their name + the team they're assessing through the form - I use linked records to group the teams and get final score). Is there a way you would recommend assigning each team 3 judges with team receiving any one judge more than once. Maybe there's some trick by using a number to represent each judge and the random formula... Would love any ideas. 

Hi all, I am building a base that should help me build diets for my customer. In one of the tables, there are all the foods I can use (800+ records), each of them with nutritional data, as the nutritional tables on the foods boxes, to be clear. In another table, I would like to link records from the food table, and summarize nutritional facts from each of them. This is easy, also with multiple records linked, using the rollup field. The problem is: I would like to add a specific amount of each food (a quantity, so to speak), and calculate nutritional facts from each linked records and summarize the results. For example: I would like to add an apple to my diet, but the food table has nutritional fact for 100g of apple and I would like to add 250g of apple in the diet table. If I have to link just one record, it would be simple, I add another numeric field and use it as a multiplier for the nutr

Hello,I have two tables that I am trying to link together.One table is an instructor table called Instructors AY25 and the first column contains the instructor name and the other columns contain instructor information, including the catalog number for the course they are teaching.Another table is a course table called Courses AY25. The first column is a catalog number and the other columns contain course information.In the Instructor table, I have tried changing the catalog number to a linked field and linking it to the Course Table. I'm new, so apologies for any blatant errors. I'm trying to create a SKU in the table primary field using the SWITCH function based on other fields in the table. My initial try included a lengthy list of colors (all unique) and the 5-letter results (not unique) for output, and the formula failed to even load. Removing the color section, I was able to generate the appropriate results based on the other columns. However, after struggling with the color field and failing, I reset the formula to the original (no color), and now get #ERROR!. I cleaned up and sorted the color entries to perfectly match the fields, and now get #ERROR!, which is progress, I guess, as at least the formula loaded.Next, I added a lookup field for the color code I want in this table and changed the color SWITCH section to reference the lookup field, but I still get #ERROR!. Hi, I would like to request allowing the fields to become collapsible in the detail view.This is both on the web and on the mobile all.When I click to expand the record, I get the whole view of the record and the fields expand to show all contents in the fields. While this is great, it poses issues if text in the fields is long and if there are multiple fields with long text. The same issue (even worse) is on the mobile application for Android and iOS because there it requires tons of scrolling down to get to the field I need in the record expanded detail view. What would help is adding a collapsibility to fields. I do not want to hide fields from the view but if select very long fields can be preset as collapsed, whenever I view the record, that would allow me to scroll faster and find what I need and then click to expand the collapsed field if I need. 

Hi I was wondering if anyone would kindly help. I am creating a form from a grid view I have created. One of my fields in the grid view allows me to link with a master data base and pull all required info through using added lookups. This doesn't seem to be something that forms allows or am I missing something? Thanks for any advice.

(Cities have Account linked to them; Accounts have People linked to them; and People have Activities linked to them).When creating new Activity records, we have "Activity Tags" that are multi-select for our different organizational programs.We have already created a lookup field in the People table to see what Activities our various People have participated in. HOWEVER, we've found that lookup fields aren't the actual solution we need, because there are times where we need to associate a Tag with a People record outside of them formally participating in a recorded Activity.So, we duplicated the same multi-select list Activity tags (i.e., the programs we offer) to the People table (and named the new field "People tags") and also to the Account table (and called them "Account"

Looking for some help regarding a formula. Here's a little context of what I am trying to do. I am working on importing my teams marketing budget plans into Airtable, and so far everything is working well. As a final step, and in order to avoid have two column with repeated numbers for Actual Variance to Budge and Planned Variance to Budget, I wanted to create a formula combining the two numbers and then group by that column (and hide it), so that it is always present but it doesn't need to be repeated. Once I use the currency values in a text formula, I automatically lose the "$" symbol and the number separators. Hi! I'm working with a customer who needs a general warehouse control for his business. I have created the base and all works fine. Here is my problem...When merchandise enters his warehouse, it goes into his inventory. Currently, he adds 1 or 2 products manually in a form(Writes 1st item, clicks submit. Writes 2nd item, clicks submit). The issue comes when he needs to manually input 5+ items. Is there a way, a form or a template, where he can add X number of rows, click “send“ and for them to load to a page? *As a reference, the input is in an “inventory“ tab that is linked to: product tab, supplier tab, invoice tab.

Hello everyone,In an interface page I created an automation that is launched when I click on a button.The automation will allow me to duplicate a record.However, when this automation runs, I stay on the page of the record I've just duplicated.Is there any way of adding a step in the automation, or whatever, so that the new record, which is the duplicate, is displayed?Thank you for your help.Julien

It would be really useful to be able to select more than one record/element at a time in the Timeline view. It is not uncommon to want to move 10 days of bookings 'up' a day, and currently this can only be done in Gannt view (which is not available in the Interface designer - very frustrating).  

I have a rollup cell that is pulling a range of data from another sheet.  Is there a way to:1) Format these so it's easier to read : MM/DD/YY-MM/DD/YY 2) Format these so I can create a calendar view that would show these dates in a row on the calendar?Thanks!!

Hi, I am trying to automate a process whereby if a record in one table is not empty, it will automatically create a duplicate record in a different table, filling in some select fields.To be specific:I have a table called tasks. It has a URL field called "output" which typically links to a google doc:I also have a table called "Resources" which I will usually populate independently, but in the cases where there is a task connected to the resource, I want it to automatically create a new record.I was able to make it work in a test, however it only worked for the test record.How do I make it such that all records that fit the condition "not empty" will trigger the creation of a new record. The automation is already set to "on".

Hi all, I would like to create a formula field (or any other way) that takes a number field and “translates” it to a text. ex: 1053 --> One thousand and fifty three. any idea on how to achieve this?

I am a beginner and wanted to make a few custom changes through formula’s and other customisation’s. I need help with the two doubts below. Also take reference from the two photos. 1. How do I setup the “Hours” formula field such that even if its 10 mins more than a perfect hour it will round it off to 2 hrs and so on for any more amount of time.2. In the first photo, is it possible for the “End Time” to solely be a time field Instead of Date and Time.Would be really helpful I could get some solid advice on this!

Does anyone know if I can lock only ONE column in a grid/table so users can't sort just that one column?I understand I can lock all the columns, but I thought I would double-check if I could just lock just one.
