Running into an issue with automations. The command is if zip code contains x then update Region to x (Ex: If zip code contains "77033" then update Region field to say "Region 7") . Some zip codes overlap multiple regions. I set the Region field to allow multiple values thinking that would resolve any overlap issues. The problem is if I have 77033 in both Region 7 and Region 8, then I want the Region field to reflect both 7 and 8. As you can see in the screenshot I have created 7 total automations for each region and have listed the zipcodes for each of the 7 regions under each command. The command is failing for zip codes that are under multiple regions.

I have two automations set up that send me reminder emails when my records hit a specific date condition.  It is a "days remaining" type of condition.  I want to wake the base up every morning so that it can update the records and send the appropriate reminder emails.  Do I need to have the schedule automation first in the list so that it performs that first or does it not matter?

Hi,I am new to Airtable coming from Xano and using Thunkable as my mobile front end.In Xano I can create and API endpoint which will allow me to search for a specific value in a column in a table.  I see that I use the AirTable API to get a record but that is by record id.If I wanted to search by a field, email address for example, how would I accomplish this?ThanksSteve

Hey,My main table has a few dozen thousands records. In order to complete the process, I also need data from around 10 different tables, each of them also has a few thousands records. If I want to aggregate data from all of them in the main table, I'm reaching the records limit. My thing is - it's kinda waste of my database space to keep the details from all the tables, if I just need it to lookup one field and it's not being used for anything else.What would you recommend, what's the best practice? Hardcoding with automation and deleting is definitely not one of them.A great solution would be, if it was possible to sync many tables into one, (but not in the way it has been released recently), for example:if one of the fields in DB 1 is license plate, I would sync just lookup fields from another base with all the plates, directly to DB1 without having to create linked records and another table.not sure if I was clear enough, what are your thoughts?

I have synced my calendar (using sync to an external calendar option under share view) to my google calendar on my laptop. I see the events from that calendar there. On my phone, I have set up to see google calendars. When I look at a date that I know there is an event for, I do not see it. Any ideas as to why I would see it on the desktop calendar, but not on my phone?

I have a basic interface List View page setup on my base. I have an "Add Record" button in the top right of the page that opens a record creation form. On Desktop it works fine.On mobile, if you open the list view, the way you access the add Button is using the "+" button in the bottom left of the mobile interface. When I click the "+" button, you see a list of buttons you configured on desktop. I see the buttons I expect, and they are configured to open up a "Create" formThe issue is that when I click on a button in the list, nothing happens. I expect the create record form to popup, but it doesn't. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I have created a space for the company that my clients can access to see their results (in a control panel, interface). But in order to see their results, currently, they have to create an account on airtable (which is strange for them since it is my company that provides the service)I want to know if it is possible that they can access to their dahboard (interfcae) without logging into airtable, or something similar, it is very important for me.Thank you

Below is what I want to do, more specifically, what training can I consume to achieve the goals outlined below. In a perfect world, I would also be able to put this data into a form or template that allows for repeatable recreation without making it from scratch every time. I'm trying to figure out how to build a data set that manages several different parameters of a home automation system. I need to store devices by types and rooms/areas. I then want to be able to have a time reference for different time periods of the day, sunrise, 30 mintues before/after sunrise, sunset, 30 minutes before, wake event 1, wake event 2, get ready 1, get ready 2, breakfast, morning, lunch, afternoon, dinner, evening, wind down, bedtime 1, bedtime 2, night. The intent is to create a tool that can be used as a reference for creating a scope as well as documenting what should be happening throughout the day incase of a failure and need to re-program. I have WooCommerce orders being added as a new record to a AirTable table called "Orders".  I want to add a checkbox besides each row when the order comes in that will move certain information from the "Orders" table to another table in AirTable called "Fulfillment".  This "Fulfillment" table has rows pre-populated with Data. Is there a way to add data from one AirTable table to another table that already has some data in certain columns/cells?

Hello,This has probably been covered before, but I can't find it. I have an automation that sends an email when a User has been assigned to a Milestone and that Milestone has a status set to "To Do". Right now I can only set up the automation individually by person. How do I set up or code it to send notification to the [assigned user] so I don't have to set up an automation 35 times. Im trying to make a task management system, where task 1 would have multiple subtasks and subtasks would have their own subtasks etc. The issue i'm having is im trying to make a function where if a task has no "task parent", then the "Task Tier" would be 0. If the "Task Parent" has a "Task Parent" of its own, to start counting how many steps up the tree it had to go to find no value, and count how many steps it took. Any other way that would not force me to have additional tables, or limit the number of Task Tiers, would still be fine Thanks in advance

Hi there. For a while I have been trying to figure out the following. Maybe you can help.  For our participants we measure there progress over time. We do this by filling in a form about every 2 months.  We have one base with all the participants (personal data).Since one participant can follow multiple trajectories, we have one base with all the trajectories linked to the participants.  The results of the form also appear in a seperate base. For everytime the form is filled in, a new row is created (which is linked to the right  trajectory) My question is the following:Example:On 1-1-2023 John scores 6/10 on our communication scale.On 1-3-2023 John scores 7/10 on our communication scale.On 1-5-2023&n

So I created an airtable app and now I want to hand it over to my client so he can do the subscription himself.Am I right in thinking the only way to do this is:create a new workspaceMake him the owner of the workspacemove the base and interface into this new workspace.It does seem overly convoluted. He is added to the current workspace but i can't see a way to upgrade his access to owner.Am I missing something?Thanks

Hi All,As a background, I currently have three tables in the same base.1) An Idea Submission Table2) A Rubric Table3) A Summary TableIndividuals were able to use a Form to link their rubric scores to specific ideas. This created a column in the Idea Submission Table called 'Rubric' which linked all of the ideas with their specific rubrics.I now need to take all of the rubrics and score the averages - something that I am able to do by linking the individual Rubric Scores on a third table called by Summary Score Table. However, I realized that rather than do it manually, I already had all of the linked scores.I created a lookup column, and I am able to bring them in to the Table. However, they are not populating the scores. So, I was thinking I needed to use the second lookup column I have, which DOES WORK for Average Scores - but it will not let me copy and paste those linked records into this linked records lookup, and I cannot figure

I am a new user of AirTable. I have a very long table that is currently being updated (by multiple users). So new records are being added/deleted to this table. Within this table, I need to create a linkage column to show that certain rows are "related/connected". I can currently only manually type the text of the linked row ID (as a text in a column called "related record"). Is there a way to truly link the multiple rows within the same table?Because the table (A) is constantly being edited, I can't use the option of creating another table that duplicate table A.  Also, I do not want to create another table that simply show record 100 and record 110 are related in Tabe A. Thanks! 

Hi!I've got 2 bases, one for managing a list of employees and the other for managing some cars.I need to assign some tasks to specific Users from the employee base so I decided to sync the Employee details table to the Cars base.After the sync, the result table in the Cars base shows the User field (of User type) from the Employee details table as an User field (of Text type).What do I need to do, as I need the User field in User format.Thanks!

I am not a habitual Airtable user, nor am I much of a tech person, so I apologize if this question has been answered and I wasn't able to find it.I am developing a database for my perfume collection using Airtable, and for most parts of this project it's great. I would really like to be able to track the dates that I wore each scent (currently I do this in a hand-written notebook, and I have years of data that I'd love to input). I can't figure out if this is possible or how I might do it. I have seen both "no" and "yes?" posts but nothing definitive or for what sounds like the kind of tracking I am doing.Thank you very much in advance!

Hi, I want to write a script that automatically deletes duplicates as soon as something new is added to the table. Basically it should work similar to the Dedupe extension, but be automated to save time.I only want to delete rows which are identically in each field. It's my first time trying to automate a function with Airtable. I would appreciate if any one has some ideas how to get started with the script or maybe has even written something similar before.Thank you for your help!

I am attempting to build a Crypto Liquid Pool tracker and trying to figure out my base design.I'm not sure if anyone on Airtable has done anything like it. If so, I would love to hear your opinions and what your base/ schema looks like. For those unfamiliar, it would be something similar to this.In adition to that, I would need, on occasion perform some of these tasks: and provide "Position value", "Fee Value", "Token Price" for each asset, "Transaction Fee", and status if Out of Range or In Range

I am trying to link a note to a record but I've gotten error codes that always change even when I perform the same action. I've tried using different browsers, clearing cache and cookies, clearing history. Nothing works. I've submitted a ticket to AirTable but I have yet to hear from them. Nobody else internally is experiencing this. 

Can anyone recommend an Airtable Consultant, preferably in the UK, who can help me with some fairly simple formulas which for some reason, I cant work out why, are not working and/or producing missing data in some rows. I feel very scrooge-like and miserly saying this, but its the reality: I work for a charity so they cannot be too expensive. But I would be very grateful if somebody could help me. I have designed a multi-layered survey that evaluates the diffferent well-being dimensions of our clients and if I cant get it working soon I fear my project will be binned and I will be devastated as I've already done a lot of research and learnt airtable especially from scratch just do this- plus I love Airtable. So if somebody could help me that would be brilliant.

I've been trying to get this to work using a formula but haven't figured it out...What i want: I have a table that contains 1000 records, 12 of which i'm displaying on the web frontend via softr.io. Now what i want is to randomize the 12 records that will be displayed. This does not necessarily need to be randomized each time the page is refreshed/the API call to retreive the records is made. It could also randomize every minute or so.I guess randomisation on refresh/load would have to be made via the API call somehow. But if the API call always retreives records based on a static filter, I would have to randomize the results that the filter retreives on the Airtable side.Any idea how to do this?One simple solution I thought of which should semi-randomize every time the result of NOW() is updated in Airtable: Number records with autonumber. Take the seconds from NOW() and calculate based on the second (which is a value between 0 and 60) which block of 12 records
