I am a project manager for a consulting company. We have a bank of questions we ask during our client interviews. I'd like to be able to create a process where our consultants can select specific questions from the master list based on the role of the person being interviewed and then be able to enter the specific answers to those questions for that interviewee. So, Consultant selects a subset of Interview Questions and enters the responses to those selected questions on the Interviewee record. Is there a way to do this in single base?

Is the Airtable API down right now? For the past 5 hours, I have been getting this error whenever I try to access my data from Airtable via API:An error occurred when calling Get Alltimeout of 25000ms exceededAll my mobile applications use Airtable as their database, so I am getting an influx of emails/messages from users reporting that the app is not working (Since it can't fetch the data from Airtable)Is this only happening to me? Or for everyone else?

I've been using Airtable forms for over a year and they were great. I noticed they changed the interface, which doesn't seem to add to functionality but complicated the process. Also, you can't add linked fields anymore. I had mobile browsers set up, and out of nowhere they became useless when they changed this function. I could be wrong but forms can now only be used for new data. Before, I could add a linked field where I could choose an existing record and add/edit data. The only reason I can think of for making this change is because it was easy for employees to interact with Airtable without having to pay the $12 per month but, what I don't understand is, why isn't available to employees who are on a monthly subscription. I'm really hoping I'm just not understanding the new form function because my use cases for Airtable have become irrelevant moving forward. Has anyone ran into an issue with the new form function? Or, can anyone suggest a workaround? Th

To send automated emails to multiple contacts at once, we insert a rollup list of email addresses (associated with a parent item) to the BCC field of the email automation. Since the data we are sending is sensitive, we don't want recipients knowing who else has received this email.I've noticed that the entire automation will fail due to an "invalid email address" (email is typed correctly with no extra spaces, commas, or semicolons). Since the automation is BCCing ~20-30 different email addresses, one "invalid email address" causes the email to fail for ALL recipients. After investigating a bit further, some of the "invalid email addresses" are actually coming back invalid. How is Airtable assessing the email addresses before sending an email? I would assume that it would send, then I would recieve a "post-master failure" email in return (acknowledging the error). Does anyone know how Airtable is able to qualify email addresses before they are sent? I have a Word document stored in a folder on Sharepoint that I would like to attach to a record in Airtable. Is it possible to queue records for processing with an automation, rather than processing them simultaneously? I have an automation that’s triggered by a record being created in Table A. The automation checks for records in Table B and if it finds a match it links it to the new record in Table A. If no match is found then a new record is created in Table B and linked to the new record in Table A. The problem I’m facing is that if two or more records are created in Table A in quick succession, the automation for the first record to be created hasn’t completed when the automation for the second record starts. This means that duplicate records can be created in Table B, when only one is needed. Is the only option to stop using the ‘When record is created’ trigger and instead build something that processes all new records on a schedule? It would have to run every 15 minutes as it needs to be close to real-time.

I currently have a script that is set to execute on the click of a button. It works really well, but I've increased the amount of records I'm doing this with and clicking the button 500 times, one record at a time, is quite tedious.The script is pulling in information from an API and due to AirTable's 30 second limit, it's only capable of doing a handful of records before failing.I've been trying to work with the automations tool to somehow mimic the clicking of the button one record at a time so that it can run the script for one record, finish the script, and then move to the next record, mimic the click of a button to start the script, and continue this until it's done it for each of the records.Is this possible at all? I've tried doing it for new records added to a view, but I would still have to add each record to the view one by one as it will group the records together and try to do them all at once when they're added to the view.

Is there a way to loop through each record found from the Find Records action, and perform a subsequent action for each individual record? As far as I can tell, you can only do something with the list of record IDs that result. I can think of workarounds but they are extremely complicated and I figured I'd ask to see if there's something a little more proprietary. 

Hi all I’d like to add a default number of ‘1’ in ten columns on a linked base - so that whenever a new record comes through from the ‘master’ base, it automically fills those columns with the number ‘1’. For some reason the default number option doesn’t work, and I can’t find any scripts that will work to be run as an automation to do this either. It feels like a simple request so hoping there’s a simple solution and I’m just being stupid… Thanks in advance, Curtis

Hi, I need help. I logged into my account and my spreadsheet is gone. I believe it was link to a team account which was deactivated which may have erased my spreadsheet ?! Is there anyway I can retrieve it ? I don’t see any options in my account portal.

I work for a large theatre, and I'm trying to automate my Opening Night Tickets forms, but running into an issue. We have 12 different shows, and each person is allotted a specific number of tickets to each show. What I'd like to have happen with the form, is that the show will only appear as an option if there is a value filled out in that field on that person's record, and it will only show the number of tickets they're allotted (they can request less than allotted, but not more).For example, if John is offered 2 tickets to Show A, he would see options for 0, 1, and 2 in the dropdown. If he's only offered 1 ticket, it would show 0 and 1. If he's not offered any tickets, Show A would not appear in his form at all.Currently every show is appearing on the form, even if there's not value in the workspace. My bigger issue is even if I have a 1 in the field on the workspace,  for some reason they can still choose 2 in the form. I need to make sure they can only select

I have GMail > Send Email automation setup. While the automation shows as the email as being sent, the receiver doesn't receive it for a few hours. How to ensure that the email is received immediately? In some cases the email is not received at all. The Gmail account is a Google workspace account.

Hi there, i just subscribed to the Team plan using 96$ of credit that i had stored from the last few years.My question is, when my plan will be automatically renewed next year, will Airtable consider the credit that i will have by that time?Example:i subscribed today (09th February 2024) to teams, my credits are now 0$.If i will have 50$ in credit on the 09th February 2025, will Airtable use the credit to renew the plan, or i will pay the full amount?If i will pay the full amount, what if a unsubscribe and the subscribe again (as in the subscription phase i have been asked to use my credit as part of the payment)? Thank you for enlightening me

Hello,Yesterday I realized that I don't have a backup of my many bases.Quite worried, I then looked for a solution. And found out: Almost all of them are quite expensive, and some of them seemed awkward to handle.Now I would like to know how important it is to have a local data backup?Is it really possible for my data to suddenly disappear one morning? Perhaps due to some error on the part of Airtable, San Francisco?Or is all data backed up redundantly several times, as some providers claim? So secure that you don't have to be afraid?Marceting

So my challenge may be in my how I have my dates setup. Essentially what I'm trying to do is to utilize a date to create text based on the current month. I think an example could better explain this, e.g., I have a date that is 4/1/2024 and I'd like another column to display the text "Summaries" when it is within that month. So then if it's the following month, 5/1/2024, I want that column to display "Graphs" for that entire month. Is this something that's even possible? Is there a way in the dates to select an entire month? I think that may make the formula more straightforward. Any insights would be amazing. Thank you in advance.

What is the best ways right now?The API Keys are not working anymore. 

I have a huge database of contacts. I would like to group and categorize these into households/families.My initial thoughts were to group by last name. However many contacts share the same last name yet aren't in the same household. Similarly, some households have different last names.I've currently got a separate "single select" field called "household/family". THis does a good job at seperating the records; I'm not able to count how many options are being used though. Is there a better way to do this?Much appreciated on any ideas! Thaaanks
