In AirTable, I have 3 Bases; ● One base that includes a table with all student records ● One base that includes testimonials ● One base that includes a record of all questions submitted when we do a Q&A How can we merge all these bases into one base and ensure that everything is linked?

Hi there.I am trying to create a voting system in airtable. Basically, I am hosting an awards show kind of thing (think oscars kinda structure) where people are nominated for awards, and judges vote on the nominees. There are 2 rounds: round 1, each judge in each award catagory individually rates each nominee by a set of 5 criteria; round 2, all the judges from every award get together and vote which of the top 3 from each award should win the award. I am currently finishing up round 1, and am running into a few issues. The issue that I would like to address here is about a "Power Point" or "Je Ne Sais Quoi" point that each judge is able to give 1 nominee per award (its basically there so that if a judge thinks one nominee deserves an extra point they can give it to them). The issue is that as my base is set up right now, a judge can add this Power Point to multiple nominees. Ideally I would like to make it so that if a judge decides to add the power point to anot

I have a base that is designed to be refreshed with data from a CSV file periodically. It has about 140 fields right now and I need to add approximately 50 more. I would like to be able to do this using the CSV Import app, but I can’t find a way to have it load data into existing fields AND add new columns to the base at the same time. I have field descriptions entered for most of the existing fields, which is a big reason why I don’t want to just start over with a new import to create the new fields. If I could get and set field descriptions via API, that would be another route to my goal, but I haven’t found any evidence that’s possible. Am I stuck adding the new fields one by one or is there another way? Thank you for any light you can shed.

Hi, I want to know if:1) Are there are any extensions that would help me with the ability to see the 'saved' information on the lengthy forms started by my customers but not submitted yet?2) Can one customer start multiple forms and save and come back to complete the form at a later time? Example: Adding multiple employees information one at a time by filling up a form for each employee.Thanks! 

I see that lookup fields now have an option to limit the data shown, but it seems very limited to only showing you the data associated with first or last record linked?Is there any way to limit to unique selections only but retain the color labels? We use color on single select to indicate different things like status and priority. So while i can use a Rollup Array Unique, that loses all color and becomes a comma separated list. And no, i do not want to make a special automation to then copy said results to a new field showing the results, as this is excessive and not 100% reliable when there is automation errors or server errors, etc.Would love if Rollup field could retain color on the unique array, OR lookup fields to offer more flexibility to show the unique selections.

I have an image field used in my timeline that i would like to refine. Currently the timeline label can show the first image as the cover image - perfect.Then the popup window when you click on a record should show the "hero" style view of that image lookup field, but instead is currently showing each image separately making you scroll far to see all the fields/images in the little popup window. Then you expand the record details to see the sidepanel, and the images show correctly as a Hero style viewer. - perfect. Any way to fix the popup window to have option to use the Hero viewer?

I'm trying to use this feature of passing the name of the user logged in to the record when a new record is created and it is just not working and for the life of me can not figure out why, clearly I'm missing something. 

How to create a checkbox inside a field Send Email. Need steps.

We have a use case that involves getting goal level data into GBQ so we can blend those with campaign data to build monitoring dashboards. Has anyone successfully gotten their data into GBQ and if so via which connector/ingestion service did you use? We have work arounds that involved exporting to a google sheet and then into GBQ but just wanted to check if there was a less round about method. Thanks!

Our team ran into what seems to be a pretty annoying bug with the timeline view.After a while if you keep on scrolling up/down, eventually the sidebar where it shows how things are grouped by completely disappears. To me this feels like a bug where whatever is suppose to trigger redrawing it hasn't been fired. To fix it you have to scroll again to force it to redraw, though sometimes it also still disappears. Another way to force it to redraw is to resize the splitter.I managed to replicate it in a new Base with a very simple table (see attached gif). Although it doesn't look so bad in this example, in our actual Base this can be incredibly frustrating as it's happening frequently enough, hurting Airtable's ux. 

I have an automation set up that sends an email (through gmail) based off a row.I want to send this with an attachment where the attachment is the same for all users or it is provided as a lookup field based off a value.i.e Option 1: Send all users the same attachmentOption 2: Depending on the value of a field send one of 3 attachments However it seems that with the gmail automation we can only send attachments from an attachment field in the row. So I can't just choose the attachment or point it to a lookup field.Are there any workarounds for this? I've considered Zapier/SendGrid as alternatives but would prefer not to.

Hi Everyone,I can't seem to figure out how to make a summary of all the expense records within a category. I have a table with  expense names with their respective number values and a single select to categorize the expense.However when in the interface designer I can't seem to "rollup" "sum(value)" per category to report the high level rather than every list item.  

Hi allany ideas how to solve this problem?can this be doen with the automation or do i need someone to write me script?night shifts should be split per day, if the time span is over the midnight insert a new row with the working times (Hours) on the next day ... or something like that?  Thx!

I have a field where people can select multiple options. The question is “what are some emotions you experienced” and they can select from 9 options. I want to know how many people choose Joy and Anticipation, whether they’re the only options selected or if they’re part of a bunch of responses. I’ve found several ways to set up a formula field that tells me if someone ONLY chose Joy or Anticipation, but it doesn’t pick up if someone chooses Anticipation and Sadness or Joy and Anticipation together. There are too many possible combinations to realistically set up a nested IF formula. Is there a way to write a formula that will tell me if someone chooses either option, regardless of whether they chose other options too? I have tried OR, FIND, SEARCH, and REGEX, though it’s likely I’m just setting it up incorrectly! Hi Everyone, I am trying to prefill a form with a range of record information and just can't seem to get it to work. I would like to produce a unique prefilled form link for each record and fill the invoice number in for each.   My current formula:CONCATENATE({Base Form Link},'?prefill_Invoice=',{Record ID}) But when I click the concatenated form link it is putting the record number in the invoice field (which is supposed to be just a 5 digit number) I tried moving the invoice number from the primary field (a number) to a single line text field but still wont work Any help would be mu

Hi everyone,I am no Airtable expert or whatsoever so I am really struggling here....I used to have a team that produced social media post content for my FB and IG pages. I have access to the Bases they created because I used to review the content before they scheduled it. I am no longer working with them but would love to reuse all the content they had crated for me (since i paid for it) so I tried adjusting the posting dates on the different entries but nothing is being posted to my pages.....can anyone help? I suspect they may have done something on their end to sort of disconnect Airtable from my social media accounts and that is why it is not posting but I really don't know. Airtable customer service won't help so here I am hoping somebody knows what I am talking about!Thanks a lot in advance!Jean T.

I am working on two tables of independent data: Tables A and B. The common denominator for each table is that they have a date value that I and other team members need to track.I've been able to create an automation where every time a new value on Table A or B is created, a new record on Table C is also created -basically copied- with values from A or B that are relevant for all those accessing Table C.Where I'm getting stuck is when I update anything on Tables A and B, I'd also like to automatically update the data on Table C, specifically dates but every now and then other values. This would be a simple fix with link to record if I wasn't pulling data from two separate sources, and I can't seem to find how to set up the right automation I need. Hi!I'm looking into making a KPI Dashboard for company-wide use. Traditional solutions would be something like Tableau or Power BI, but since we are a small company and we already have Airtable, I've been trying to scope our Airtable as a possible solution. While scoping it out, I haven't been encouraged.It seems like Airtable has a lot of capabilities, especially when using Vega-Lite, but one key thing that we need is the ability to configure charts easily. For example anyone should be able to quickly change the date range on a chart without it affecting other's view.I also haven't been able to incorporate Vega-Lite into an Interface. I've only been able to include it in the Extensions, which is not a convenient user experience if we have 20+ KPIs. I think I need Vega-Lite to get the charts that I need, for example a Sankey chart is not available with the "native" Airtable charts.Am I missing out on some capabilities or should I move on from Airtable and

It seems like I have a simple question but so far I have been unable to solve this. All I would like to do is pass the current wordpress user display name to Airtable via a form. I can see how to prefill a field with a fixed field but I can’t figure out the syntax to pass the current wp user data to Airtable. Is this possible? Thanks

I have a 'Last Modified By' field in my table that has a user object. I have another field that says 'Last Modified By (Name)'. It needs to be populated with only the name of the user.  Is there a formula to retrieve only the 'name' from the Last Modified by object? 

It appears that "tel:" hyperlinks does not work to create a button that opens a URL to call a phone. The button is not clickable.However, the "mailto:" URL shortcut works, but not "tel:"Are there any workarounds to this that will put a clickable link in any view type? (grid or interface?)
