Hi there,I want to create a new field called "Original Start Date" and this will be populated from the "Start Date" field when someone enters in a new project.  Like a lot of projects the Start and End date moves a lot.  We want to reference back to when it was first originally entered in.Where do I start?  Do I create a new field in the "Projects" table called "Original Start Date" and then create an automation the populates this from the "Start Date"?I was referencing this article that mentions creating an automation.But I don't know the steps in connecting the two.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thanks!

Sometimes the Community is helpful in solving a problem, but sometimes we need more support than this. When I first started using Airtable, it was possible to get support  - good support! - from a human being. At this point, I can find no way to do so - the bot just takes me around in circles. (We do have a paid account). Can anyone advise on how to get support from someone at Airtable when necessary? 

Is there a way to automate a New Grid View when there is a new record in view? Here’s the flow: A new record is in view Create a view. Use a field from the new record to create the filter for the view Save the view as the Name. I’ve use web scraping tools and Zapier and have had no luck. The web scraping tool I use does not like Airtable. OR is there another way to share just a record with someone? We use the shared grid view to give our contractions information (what we owe them, their log in to our app, etc.). We automate everything but just this step. Hello,I am designing a base that needs URLs with markdown in this format:[text to display](https://my.url.com)However, when I try that... that's exactly what it looks like. I'm using long text fields with rich text enabled. I've tried a bunch of variants, including many I've seen in this forum, and it never shows display text -- always just the text exactly as entered. Whether or not the URL is interpreted as a URL is also an issue. It works sometimes, but no others. I'm using google Chrome for what it's worth. Is there an issue with my syntax?Regards,Scott

The record limit will not allow me to see my task. I have the free version so I deleted some completed tasks, so I'm able to see my task list but it still will not let me see because of the limit. Please anything that could help me view this again without upgrading the service.

Airtable have recently released a new popout feature for the calendars in interface designer.When clicking on a record in the calendar element, a new popout appears before you can get to the record detail view. To get to the record detail you have to click the expansion arrows in the top right of the popout:How can this popout be disabled and go back to how Airtable used to work where you clicked on a record in the calendar and it would take you straight to the record detail?

I want a function that would return "Store D" in the example above.MAX(Store A, Store B, Store C, Store D) will help me identify the highest price, but it returns the $5 value, not the field name Store D. I'm building an issue tracker leading up to a one-day event. Issues are reported, and then I need to track how long the issue has been open. Most issues are closed in a few minutes, but others may linger for hours, or even days.I can calculate the number of minutes since the issue was opened, but how do I convert that to a duration-like result that includes days? Sort of like a DD:HH:mm format.This is how I calculate the elapsed minutes:  DATETIME_DIFF({Resolution Time}, {Call Time}, 'minutes') * 60

Currently it seems as if though there’s no way to tag and notify a user who does not have access to your interface; additionally, when a notification is sent, that notification links back to the interface it was sent from. Can it please be adjusted that a notification gets sent regardless of the interface they have access to, and the link that’s sent to them finds the relevant record on whatever interface is currently available to them?

I've got an issue with my account, as Airtable is displaying that I reached my automation limit (50.000 / 50.000)Actually, I only have one active automation in my whole workspace, triggered by the creation of a record, and I only create approximatively a dozen record a day.I dont understand how my limit can be reached that quickly, and apparently this is the case every month, my automation limit is reached after 2 or 3 days.Have you already faced something like that ? I currently have the Pro Plan, and I don't know if this is the good place to reach someone that can fix my problem and more importantly explain to me why this is happening. Thanks you very much !

This might be a super simple one, but I wasn't able to find it in the Keyboard shortcuts and it's been driving me crazy.In excel, when you are entering a sequence of cells in horizontal order (tabbing after each one), if you hit Enter/Return, you return to the place where you clicked, so you can continue entering the same sequence of cells.  In Airtable, you hit enter and it puts your cursor in the cell directly below.  So you have to hit enter again, and shift-tab back, or ctrl-left back to the very start of the row.  Oh how I long for fewer strokes to get back to where I started entering!  Anyone know the trick? Thanks! Craig

Hi, I have 20 records in my Base that were accidentally overridden by an Integromat automation. I need to restore the records to a previous version, but “Undo” will work, and there is no Snapshot for that time period. I can see the previous edits in the Activity Log for each record, but it looks as if I can’t access this data through the API. Is there any way to restore records to a previous version based on edits in the Activity Log of a record, rather than a Snapshot? If there’s not a way to do this within Airtable itself, is there any third party software that you can recommend to extract this data? Thanks for the help!

I was not able to find any information on developing third-party actions for Automations.For example, there is a list of integrations:Can I develop a new one for a third-party system? I'm looking for a way to develop and publish it globally for other users to consume. I'm a part of a product company and we want to give Airtable users option to integrate through Automations. 

Hello, I am using Automations to keep my Base in sync with a Google Calendar. Specifically, I am importing Google Calendar events into AirTable. For one-off events, it works great! Creations, updates, and deletions get mirrored pretty well. However, when I create a recurring event in Google Calendar, only one row gets created in my base. My automation trigger is set for “when an event is created in Google Calendar” and the action is “create a new row”. If I create an event in Google Calendar that repeats every Monday for one month, I would like 4 rows to be created in AirTable Does anyone know if this is this possible with Automations? Hi everybody,I have a question regarding syncing multiple workspaces into one workspace. I then want to merge the data that is synced so that I get one database with experiments. It is constructed as follows:We now have 3 workspaces with experiments, one for email, CRO and socials. Now we want to have an overarching workspace where all experiments come together so that we have one large database. For example, we can collect all experiments from one campaign.Now I succeed in syncing a view, but it then becomes a separate tab in the overarching workspace. Is it possible to import all data into one table. Or should these be 3 tables and is it possible to merge all this data into one table so that we have one library.I'm curious if anyone knows a solution for this.Regards, Martijn

I have an airtable interface that has a dropdown. When I select a value from the dropdown, it shows me some records in the gallery view. When I click on one of the field, it opens up details of a linked record in the list view. Now I want to show these results in the list view in a filtered format. Two of the values in the filter are supposed to be fixed and the third value can be changed by the user. Is there a way to do this using condition grouping? I tried to do it but everytime I publish the interface the filter vanishes. How do I save my filter settings? I tried an alternate approach using filter dropdowns (screenshot below) but I am not too happy with the UI. I want location as dynamic which user can select and the values under More to be fixed. Is there a way to hide the fixed values but stil

Hi all! My team has 3 tables that we use to keep track of events that have associated dates and times, including trainings, out-of-office holds, and planned travel time. I want to create a calendar view in AirTable that includes all 3 of these event types to make scheduling easier. I'm pretty sure that the only way to do this is to combine all 3 tables into a new table where I can create the views I want. What is the best way to import all of the records from those 3 separate tables into a combined table? Is there a script that I can run that will do the importing?Once the new table is created, will I need to create automations that will ensure that if a record is created or updated in the separate tables, it will be updated in the combined table? Or is there a better way to make sure that both places stay current?Thanks, I appreciate the help!

If there's a simple way to add a checklist of, for example, 10 items, with an editable checkbox by each one that would be great.Attempt 1: Use the "checklist" markdown formatting in a text box. While I am editing, I can check/uncheck boxes, however, when I publish the Interface and attempt to change the checkboxes in the live interface, I can no longer edit them. (Meaning, only "editors" can check/uncheck boxes, but normal Interface users cannot). Is anyone else having problems with slack sending an actionable message? 😣everything was working fine until Monday. My regular slack message automation is working fine! I disconnected and reconnected the my slack account to airtable. I also ensured my Slack had the airtable app integrated. All I see is the following message but I do not see what the actual error is. The channel and slack account is correct. The trigger also works perfectly. SOS. 

Hi, My organisation is on the Team Plan with budget allowing for only one collaborator. We need to email read-only users and / or external emails (max 50 recipients per email) but I'm unable to find out so far if this is possible without being charged. I'm also struggling to find the limits on these type of emails. I've attached a basic example of a select number of records which I wish to share in an email. Would appreciate if someone could advise / tell me a better approach! To group records for planning purposes, I use a unique code for each record, then a custom text field to assign one of those codes to records that need to be grouped. This is for planning vegetable plantings with multiple vegetables in a plot. Here's an example of how that works:Where ID + Field Date is generated, and then I manually assign one of those codes to "planning ID" where those crops need to be considered as a group for certain planning activities. For planning purposes, I have a view that groups crop/records by planning ID. I also have one that sorts by crop in alphabetical order. However, I need a visualisation that does both - e.g. I need to be able to sort by crop AND visualise the other crops that are grouped by the same planning ID.
