All, I’m trying to import a file doc file that exists in an airtable attachment field into Google Drive in integromat. So it actually creates a file, by the name that I have assigned. But when you open it, here’s what it looks like: You’ll notice first that it doesn’t open in editor. And what you are able to make out of the text is the address of the file in airtable (according to airtable). As far as the setup in Integromat, here’s what the settings look like:

I’m brand new to Airtable and getting to grips with it all so forgive me if this is a simple and stupid question. I’ve got a table logging expenses by two people. I’m using a currency field to add the amounts spent by each person. Now I want a second table that shows the overall funds both people start out with and then a field that shows the current funds available which updates according to the expenses logged in the expenses table. Can someone explain to me how to do that? I don’t even know what sort of keywords to look for in the help sections. Thank you so much for any help! Anna

Hello all,I currently am trying to create a formula in which I calculate days since last contact, with some of the source cells either being blank or having "N/A" as a value. I plan to make cells either all blank or "N/A" if the person hasnt been contacted. what I am trying to do is have a tonow(date of last contact) formula in which if the cell is blank or N/A it states "N/A" instead of "invalid date".Thanks!

Hi all,I would like to create an automation that triggers each time a record is created to update a formula (I guess, this is the part I'm unsure about).One table creates records through an automated link to Google Calendar, creating a field with a number value (number of hours) and a single line text (a name). In another table, I want to add up all the hours in one record, titled by the same name. This record already exists, so it needs to be updated every time Google Calendar creates another record with the name of the person in it.I already set up the automation to trigger each time a record is created and link it to the second table via "search records" and IF {Name} in table one IS {Name} in table two (paraphrasing here). Now I can't figure out what to put in the formula field in the second table to actually let it update and show the sum of the hours of all the records in table one.Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I used the Airtable CRM template to build a CRM for my company.I have a Organization table that collects company data - a Contact table that collects individual's data - and a Events/Activity table that tracks what events/activities contacts have participated in.I currently have all of this data tracked in Google sheet.On my Contact table I have the organization table linked to the Contact table so I don't end up with two tables of data on organization.I can't figure out how to upload my contact data into the Contact table so that it uploads the organization data into the Organization table so it will be linked to my Contact table. 

Hi there!I'm wondering if there's a way I can add a distinction for fields that have the same data. For example, there's two entries that are on the same date (09-22-2023). I have been trying to find out a way to somehow, say, put 09-22-2023a and then 09-22-2023b so I know which one is entered first and so on.I'd appreciate any insights. Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone,I have two automations that I need to combine into one. Is there anyway to merge the two or move pieces from one to the other without having to rebuild the content? I would have set it up as one automation to start with, but I was new at this and didn't see how to do so at the time. We're bumping up against automation limits, so it's important to combine them.Since they both trigger the sending of emails with a lot of inserted fields, it's a hassle to do it manually as even if I copy and paste, I have to manually re-insert the custom fields.  I tried searching but only got results related to automations that merge records, not anything about merging the automations themselves. Thanks for any insights you can provide! Regards,Anne

Hello, I'm trying to create a view that is tasks stacked by owner in Airtable as a kanban but it keeps creating cards with deactivated users in them but there's no way to delete or hide those users. I'm building a Project tracker with the following tables:Projects / Tasks  / Sub TasksI'd like to add a list view on the Projects table which would show the Projects > Tasks  > Sub Tasks in that order. But it looks like I have to put the List view on the Sub Tasks table? I'm not sure my users will get that.Am I doing something wrong when setting up the List View? If I try to make a List View in the Projects table Airtable tries to put the Projects at the bottom and work up to Sub Tasks.

I manage a large media plan with multiple users. As due dates approach in the following increments, 60, 30, and 15 days, I want to trigger an email that will inform that user if they have not provided the necessary information to deploy the ads. I have set the first trigger up at 60 days however it is sending per record, not per user. Is there a way to consolidate all the records into one email?Thank you in advance!

Hello,I would like to share a base with collaborators in read only or comment only, but I would like them to be able to edite view, specially the filtering field to be able to search throu records more efficiently.So far i'm only able to share in editor mode for them to have acces to the filtering button, but then they can chage the data 😞

I cannot decide if I'm better off with an automation or else I'm just not meant to do if else formulas. I need to first check if a date field is not blank. If it is not blank, then I want to compare it with another date field. If it's later than other date field I want to show 'launch date moved out'. I know this formula is not comparing but it's what I ended up with (and it's not working)IF({Original Launch Date} & "-"THEN {Launch Date}>{Original Launch Date},'Launch Delayed')

Hi all! I have a base in which we create and track educational programs that we put together. I have a date and time field that shows when the program starts, and a date field that shows when the program ends. Some of our programs are mutli session or span throughout a long period of weeks. For example, a program may have 3 sessions on non-consecutive days, let's say 9/22, 9/25 and 9/27 (9/27 being the end date) and each runs from 9am-2pm. Sometimes the times are different for each of the sessions too.I want to show that each one of those sessions are from 9am-2pm but the start date field will only show 9am. I can't use the end date field to show that it ends at 2pm if the time is different for each session. Is there a way to easily show a range of time? (i.e 9/22 from 9am-2pm)

I have tried to build an automation from instantly to Airtable. I want to make dashboards for campaign data. My problem is:I want the fields in the (Data_Handling) table to update automatically, when data is updated via an API in the Instantly combined table. I have created the record IDs because i thought it would make it like working in excel in a way. But i vant seem to figure out why i cant make the update record function work in the automation. Hi,I am trying to create an automation where:If "Adviser 1 ranking" column has been updated as "Outstanding", then the "Adviser 1 rating" column will automatically have 5 stars appearing. Same goes to any update on "Adviser 2 Ranking" will update the "Adviser 2 rating", "Adviser 3 Ranking" with "Adviser 3 rating". In all 3 single select Adviser ranking fields, I have "Outstanding" (i.e. 5 stars), "Very good" (i.e., 4), "Good" (i.e.,3), "Poor" (i.e.,2), "Try Again" (i.e.,1).Could anyone please help out?Thanks! 🙂

Hi Airtable Community, I'm trying to understand the cost structure for Airtable licenses. Specifically, can a "read-only" user still submit product feedback through an integration? For example, a Customer Experience Agent who has a "read-only" set of permissions still submit product feedback through Zendesk to Airtable without being billed?
