I have 100 people in my database, I want to send an email to each (email is in record) and in the email have a  button (webhook or form) that updates another field in their record. Example: Do you support the project? Button or form could either just have "Yes" (with no click being implied "No") or a form 

Hi 😊I need help with the form…🙄I have a table "Absences" created in Airtable, where employees can report paid vacation using the form. I also have a column "Remaining paid vacation days" created in Airtable using a formula, in which the employer can see what the balance of the employee's paid vacation is.I would like to add a field to the form that will be displayed while filling out the form (If the employee selects their name from the employees in the form and selects Vacation type-Paid vacation, a pre-filled field showing the data from the table: How many days of paid vacation the employee has left will appear).Thank you for your help! 😁

Hello all,I have multiple tables each with multiple single-select fields that I have created via the Airtable API.352 separate fields across 40-something tables. When creating the tables and columns I am able to define the selection options for each column and everything works smoothy.However I can not set a default option for these columns when creating them through the API. It is far too many columns for it to be reasonable to manually set each column default in the UI, as it is I already have to do some manual operations to create a formula field in each of these tables after creation due to limitations in the API capabilities.Does anybody know of a way to set default values in my field en mass?The majority of the fields hold the same selection options and would have the same default option set.I would even accept nuking the fields and/or tables and recreating them if my creation call can be altered to set the defa

Hey all,I’m getting the dreaded “received invalid inputs” but it’s not specific.I have a form that someone fills out to get a “certificate” number in another table.There’s a specific view for the Non-Assigned certificates. There are two tables, one that stores the form’s data, and another that has a listing of certificate numbers and such. Now I’d set it up as such: Then the Find Records settings:  Not sure what else to do???   

Hi there, I’d like to create an automation that, when triggered manually, appends all records that match certain conditions to a Google Sheet (that I then apply built-in formulas to in the sheet). My first attempt was to choose the trigger “When record matches conditions” but that only seems to fire for when a new or updated record matches conditions, not for when an existing one does. How might I set up the conditions and action and then for a trigger be able to just click a button like “run” or turn it on? Is there another way to do this?

Hi, I am fairly new to Airtable, so I am trying to learn how to do things more efficiently. I have a question about formulas.Is there a way to select a field based on an input without using the SWITCH() function? I’m thinking something like a FIELD_SELECTOR() (← this a made up function as far as I know, but maybe something like it exists?), where I input the text display_name of a field, and output the value for that field. Or is this something where I need to start learning how to integrate python, and airtable built-in functions are not powerful enough?Example:I am making a database with taxonomic information (ie. latin names of living things). Is there a way to add default values to forms where when clicking into the field, the default values disappear?As in, I would like to input an example of the information I’m looking for, and then when the user clicks into the field, they type as if there was nothing there.

Hello!I created a Project Template base that has various phases and steps with our design process. This base will be duplicated and renamed as new projects come in.I also created a separate Project Dashboard base, to be used to get a birds eye view of all the active projects going on at once.In the Project Template base there’s a table with a name, assignee, and project status fields. This grid view is synced to the Project Dashboard.Once I duplicate the project template base and rename it to the new project, is there a way to pull in the new name of the base into the name field?I didn’t see anywhere in the functions to pull in the base name. I was able to generate the base name using the script extension +  output.text(`${base.name}`);, but I don’t see a way of bringing that information into the name field.Thank you for your help!

Hi Airtable Friends,I need help. Since I couldn’t squeeze all the Product fields I needed to see at-a-glance into the Record View template, I laid them out onto a Blank Canvas. But when I add the List element, it doesn’t display a list of products as would have been the case with the Record View template. Instead, it only allows me to choose from one of the Link to Record fields. If I change the source to “Products”, I see the list of products—but it’s not at all connected to the record view fields. Really hoping some of you  geniuses out there have ideas! Thanks in advance!  

Hi, I want to be able to copy the result in one field into another single-line text file so that I can look it up. The first field is multi-select. All I want to do is convert it into a single-line text field. I need this to look up the text from another table. I need to do this because the first field is already a lookup in this table from yet another, and I need to be able to link some of the details from a third table altogether. I hope this is making sense. I don’t know how else to explain it. Thanks S

Checking on if there is an update on this, as most posts about it are many years old. Can the airtable branding be removed from an embedded calendar?It seems none of the alternatives that I’m aware of can customize the visible days the way airtable can. Softr can do a week view (7 days with the weekend, or 5 days no weekend. Miniextensions can only do the whole month. Neither softr nor miniextensions can do the colorcoding.  Is there a workaround for this yet? 

See screenshots below - I've used the "find records" option many times, and always restrict it to a specific view.  Only this time, and any time I test the find records action anywhere globally, it suddenly seems to stop at 10 records. The description still lists the limit as 100 records, it just stops at 10.  The view in question has 52 records in it. I've even went so far as to test this on older automations which we've since stopped using (afraid to touch any currently running automations for fear they might stop working properly).I've recreated the automation, refreshed the page, re-sorted/grouped records, but have not been able to work around the issue.Has anyone else ran into this?

I have a database and I would like that each time a person registers in the form, if he/she already exists in the database, just update his/her information and do not duplicate the contact (the database contains his/her ID number which is unique). Thanks!!

I am new to Airtable and I work in Procurement. I have built something for our buyers to use and track all projects and contracts. What I have not been able to successfully do is create a savings report for upper management. I have looked online and youtube and I have been unsuccessful. Can anyone be so kind as to help me? 

Hi community members, I’m setting up an automation that triggers based on the date but running into a problem with getting the values of the record that triggered the automation… To give you context, the main table is "Reservation" and contains all details of the reservation. In it, there is also a linked field "Yacht" which points to another table "Yachts". I have also added 2 lookup fields in Reservations : yacht name and yacht model. I defined the input variables but when I want to output them, the linked fields are empty arrays (see screenshots below). Please advise on how to fix it because I need to pass these values via webhook for further use.

We’re currently working on a script to send an automated message via Slack every time a new record is created in Airtable. We’re using a script, rather than the pre-built Slack automation, as we need more advanced styling options and a button that takes you to a specific Airtable interface page.I have just figured out how to call Name and Address values from the record in the first step of the automation, but I’d like to be able to use these values in the message itself. How do I call the Name or Address in the message part of the script, so that they appear as text?Hope someone can help — thanks in advance!Alan

Hello, I want to know if there is a formula to identify a text within a link cell, in this cell conditions that a home meets appear. Example: unreleased, released, foundation, walls, roof, finishes, finished. I want the formula to identify if the cell evaluated says without releasing the result is UNSTARTED, if it contains released the result is IN PROCESS or if it contains finished, the result is TERMINATED. I have tried with the IF formula, but I have not succeeded. Thank you 

Hi everyone,  I have created a domain specific link to an interface using a shared link. Staff can register with Airtable OK but the link wont work saying they are not authorised to access this page. The same happens when I do it by invitation. Is there something I’m missing? Any suggestions, even the most obvious, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. I’m pretty new to airtable and am having an issue with something that feels like it should be quite simple so I am assuming I am missing something obvious. I have a Product table linked to a Product Bundle table. In a single record in the Product Bundle table I have multiple linked records from inventory from name, cost roll-up, quantities etc… Works great. One thing that would be super handy is to find the individual item that is linked from the Product table with the closest expiry date. At the moment I am able to use a roll-up max value field to find the earliest expiry date but I cannot figure out how to reference the record name that it belongs to. For reference, I have 10-20 products linked in one bundle and the expiration determines how I will sell the particular product or if I can at all.
