Hi all, I'd appreciate a bit of help.I am trying to make a two product comparison page. I have all product specifications in one table like this: And I want to pull the specs data on this other "compare pages" table depending on which two products are picked:So if Product 1 is "iPhone 11" then it would pull the specs into this "Product 1 Specs HTML"from the first table. Same for product 2. Hopefully it makes sense.Is there an automation or formula that I can use to achieve this? Much appreciated! 

I have a task table with start date, due date, and completion date.  Each task is marked open, attempted, or done via a single select.  Working to create an automation that creates a copy of a task marked as "Attempted."  here's the flow of my automation: Trigger:  Record meets condition / condition is Status field is NOT open (aka, either Done or Attempted) Action:  Insert the value of a formula field into the completion date field.  The formula field is simply NOW(), so it will change every day and as we complete tasks, the completion date will change to the current date. Conditional Action:  If Status field equals "Attempted" Action:  Create new record with the following dynamically inserted fields: Task Description New Start Date New Due Date Assignee To calculate the new start and end dates, I have created two columns in the Task table with very similar form

When the automation send an e-mail, the "From name" field sometimes doesn´t work. Anytimes the from is correct in the received e-mail and sometimes the from field is noreply+automations@airtableemail.com The problem is very important because the recipiente doesn't know the sender. Thanks

Why am I no longer able to email customers automatically? This automation was working just fine before I had to update Zapier.  

Hello! Not sure what is happening, but I had automation that was working when a record was created. It was working just fine, but I had some Zapiere issues (I needed to update my plan). Updated my plan the zaps came through, but now the automation is no longer working. I even deleted the automation and rebuilt it. Still no dice. Does anyone know what gives? Cheers!

Hi, I am trying to create an automation where every Monday morning at 6am, all my multi select tags set as ‘Followed up on content’ are changed to ‘Need to follow up’, but without removing the other tags that are already set. I also need to create a button I can manually use that changes all ‘Need to follow up’ to ‘Followed up on content’, also without removing the other tags that are already set. Pretty new to airtable, so thanks for anyone that can help!

I'm running into a formatting issue when I try to update a text field by populating it with form responses.I have a form that collects a user's name, a text field for "Troubleshooting Notes," and a timestamp for when the form is submitted. An automation sends these results to a text field on another table. The automation has conditional actions to see if the destination text field is empty or not. If the field isn't empty, then it preserves the existing text, and just adds the new data below. I've attached screenshots of the automation actions.The automation works...mostly. However, if the destination text field is empty to begin with, then the automation adds three line breaks before pasting the form results. So, the text field looks empty unless you expand it and see the text hidden at the bottom. Does anyone know what is causing this formatting issue? It doesn't seem to happen if I remove the conditional statements, but those are necessary parts of my automation.

I have written the following script which attempts to check if a field has the value "Definition" and if so make selection on specific single selection fields on a random basis. The reason for this is that the values will be used in a series of image mockups.I am completely new to both airtable and scripting so have absolutely no idea why this script doesn't do anything, but also doesn't throw any errors. I also don't understand (despite being on the pro trial) why I can't seem to add scripting as an extension - it just says 0/10 added. I am at a loss. This seems like it should be the easiest thing in the world. I am trying to write the TableID using a script to a field called "TableID". I have the variable value:var id = base.getTable("Target Activity").id;This returns the correct value. However, I can't figure out how to set the value to the field. Am I missing something?

I have a client who has submissions to an AT base via jotform that populate into a master 'customer' database. With the business, there are different approvals that occasionally happen that need to be noted. There are multiple events throughout the year, and the client is asking if there is a way to timestamp when they were approved, so that when they are approved, it updates the master database. Furthermore, they would like to be able to search the main database, and when they search for that customer, it will automatically show the approval, and the date of that approval.They would also like to be able to see all events that they have participated in. Now, to throw a wrench in it, they only have 2 events open each registration period, which uses a different jotform for each event, but they all currently populate to the main database. Hi, I have the following task:I have two tables Orders and Inventory.I am loading an order from Amazon sellercentral in the Orders table. Each order has a column SKU (unique indicator of the sold product).The Products table stores the products that we sell with all the detailed information.Question: How to make the Orders table automatically pull URLs to the vendor's product page from the Product table, using the SKU as an indicator.In other words, for each new order, automatically fill URL in Order table (Supplier URL column) from Inventory table using SKU.

I am in the process of rolling out AT for Software Deployment Projects that I manage for about 6 different people.We have a Projects Table, Tasks Table and a Team Listing Table. When the tasks are created, we have to manually assign the Engineer to each task, when its always going to be the same engineer doing every task for that specific project. The Engineer is a linked field from the Team Listings field. Theres also a Rollup field that captures this information.I would also love to do the same for other fields as well, like a CRM Case number field that is the same for each task. I would also love the ability to click one button, and complete all subtasks (Long Text with RTF field formatted with checklist items)I have a script that was written for us during implementation that creates the tasks already, if that would be helpful.Thanks!Shawn 

Hi, I have an organizations table and a contacts table.Every time a contact gets updated with different organization name under the contacts table - I need the organizations table to update its synced field with the contacts name, but i need the automation to update the organization table with more than 1 contact record in the synced field, Is this possible?

It has been a long time since the promise and reality of a product is so far apart. I am a fan of Airtable until you have to do any meaningful reporting or distribution of data. Charting is worthless, even using vega-lite, a great tool in full form is turned into a hollow shell with "lite." Charts and Reports from Data Fetcher is much better but cannot put Data Fetcher on an "Interfaces" dashboard, so it becomes less useful. This leaves me with PowerBI queries or Google Automation, both are fine but just another place to have to do work.Then I found automations that can create a Google doc or an Outlook email. I thought my day was going to immediately get better. Then I find that product is about 20% complete. For example, if you want to report on a Activities table that has a link to a Customer to use as a subject like "Status report as of [date] for [Customer/Project], the automation adds the customer name to the subject line for as many records as in Activities. Hi everyone. I am new"ish" to Airtable and have very basic understanding of coding.I am trying to doing up a paycheck budget. My primary table calculates income vs expense for the 2023 paychecks so one can organize paying expenses at the time they are due instead of putting away a % each cheque. However, I cannot get the balance from the last pay check (record 1 field 8 lets say) and add as income to the next paycheck in the pay period (record 2, field 3) and repeat. It is so simple in Excel but for visualization and organization I'd prefer to stay with Airtable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm creating an automation in Airtable where the info from each stripe payment comes though. The price comes in without decimals, so I thought it would be easy to add a conditional action that is there isn't a '.' in the dynamic object I could just add it within the automation, but ... its seems to be out of my comfort zone.Is there a Script that someone has to do this?  or another workaround?

Hello everyone,I am currently discovering Airtable and trying to familiarize myself with all its features! Today, I am trying to update a date field when a select field is changed (example: Sending status -> sent, I want the date field to be updated with the sending date) but I can't find a solution, neither through scripting nor automation.Can you please point me towards a resource or any relevant information so that I can figure out how to do this?Thanks for your help ! 

We have 2 tables Students + Tutors, within the Students table each student has a status set to 'Active' or 'Withdrawn' and also the tutor that Student has been assigned.Within the Tutor table, we currently just have 1 field displaying all of the Students for that Tutor, but we would like to automatically filter these with Automations when the student status is changed to show in separate columns if they are active or withdrawn (in the student table) Please see the below screenshot of the current setup I have setup an automation to do the above by running it if the student record is changed, we add that student to the correct column in the above screenshot. This works, but it currently overrides any data which is currently in the field, so I created an additional step in the automation 'Find records' to add before the new entry.However, I cannot

Hey, I’m working on a project management base were each ‘project’ has a series of associated ‘tasks’ that are populated upon the creation of each project. We’re a civil engineering company so each ‘project’ has 178 associated tasks. I’ve created a standalone record for each step, and want to automate 178 new records to a third table and then link the newly made project to each of those records. I think scripts are the only way to do this. Does anyone have some advice? Thanks!
