Hello! I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out a fix for this. I want to send out a new discount code to employees on a specific date each month (see attachments) I’ve added a field with ‘November code send date’ and ‘December code send date’ etc. I’ve also tried adding a TODAY() column and then setting the automation to ‘when today is exact date’ however it shows an error saying no data matches the said date. I just need to trigger to recognise the date I want the email to go out (with the conditions that the employee {status} is ‘active’ and {manual/order code} tag is ‘order code’. .
I’m hitting my 50,000 record limit and need to reduce size of my main base pending a more serious migration to a more scalable platform altogether. An obvious candidate for me is to eliminate my Postcode lookup table - this table contains many thousands of records and its useful for auto-populating my Users table with relevant locality data by inputting only the postcode. Is there any restriction on moving the postcode lookup table to an entirely new and separate base, then using a script automation to perform equivalent lookup functionality via API? ie can I use an Airtable script automation to hit the Airtable API and retrieve data from a remote Airtable base?
I’m trying to come up with a document tracking system with (Integromat,Dropbox,Airtable) and I’m trying to automate creating new records in airtable when added to dropbox and then assign a value to a linked field based on the folder the file is saved to. In airtable I have two tables; Jobs, Attachments with linked filed to jobs. I have dropbox watch folder (yes to subfolders). When a new file is added to dropbox job subfolder a new record is created with path, this value stored in “path”: /clients/3d/3d tracker/3d projects/21-982: Is it possible to create an automation that will assign the value of the linked filed to job 21-982 by breaking the path and matching the final folder? I’m guessing there is some regx here, which I’m not very capable of. Any tips or links to samples that could help me. Thanks!
I am sure this is simple but I can’t figure it out. I have a multi-select field. When I choose a particular selection in the Multi-Select field, I want any data in a different field in the same table to be deleted. I see how to do the trigger but not the Action. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi there, I recently set up an automation to fire off an email when a record enters a certain view. When I set up this automation, I had the email fired off from my own email (as I connected my gmail account and slack). However, we’d like to have the email sent from our HR email. Our HR person switched out my slack with their own and used their email for the automation. However, now when testing we receive the below error message: Error Message: Google reported an error while processing this action: Insufficient Permission If I switch it back to my email & slack, all works fine. I’m wondering if there are specific Google Settings which need to be adjusted. Anyone have any experience encountering this and how to resolve the issue?
Hi I’m new to Airtable and am still figuring out how to use automations. I mostly use the Kanban view. I have things that are weekly recurring and they always go through the same process. I’d like to get it so everything that has been marked as “shipped” by Friday, come Monday morning is back to “needs processing” (the beginning of the weekly work flow.
I have a form that I share with someone. I also have formatted that input to a page (with logo etc) What I would like to do is: As soon someone fills and submits the form to automatically email the page created from page designer. Is it possible ?
With a Button, I would like, on a table A, to click on the button of record 0001, to download in csv (or .text or to a doc) all the records of table B linked to the linked record of record 0001? Can you help me ?
Question says it all; seems pretty clear there’s no built-in feature for it, but has anybody figured out a scripting solution or field patch to handle it in the meantime? Would prefer to not have empty emails sent out to my team.
Goal: Send a daily email using airtable app triggered by time, linked to a view. The problem is airtable limits the count to 100 records and these views contain more than 100 records. I need a script that counts the number of records in a view. Thats it. I’ve searched the forums but have not been successful at figuring this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for helping in advance. I want to create a formula or an automation that automatically sets the “Business Due Date” 16 weeks after the “Onboarding Call Date” whenever a record is entered in “Onboarding Call Date”. I don’t know if there is a formula for this or an automation. Any advice will be helpful.
Hi, I have a table created Sign in - Airtable named “Event Register”. This table has one field named “Event” which is of type “Link to Another Record”. How can we set up any constraint on this field so that it should always have a unique value? Can we use any scripting action here? Can we show an alert or pop-up to the user on entering the duplicate value?
Hi, I have 2 tabs : 1 / Freelancer (3 expertises possible) 2 / Projects (3 expertises possible) I want an email to be automatically sent when at least one the 3 expertises mention in the “Project” matches with at least one of the 3 expertises mentioned in “Freelancer” profile How to do that as airtable native automations seem too limited for that ? Indeed specific cells have to match & not columns or lines. Thank you very much for your helps, Anthony
Hello! I am having problems with HTML language in emails automations, specifically when I try to use the tag <“hr”>. This tag should creat a horizontal line but insted it doesn’t do anything. I am sending a image of how it appears when I try to use it.
Hi, I’ve spent hours on this and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Here’s what I’d like to accomplish: Each row in the table is a person (a child in daycare) I want to automate a way to change the location of their daycare on a certain date I have these columns: Current Location (multi-select) Change Date (date) New Location (multi-select containing the same values as Current Location) I’m trying to set up the automation so that on Change Date it will update Current Location to match the value in New Location, but it isn’t working and I haven’t been able to figure out why. I get a “received invalid inputs” message. Any help is much appreciated!
Here is my error message: In my automation, I have multiple linked columns in one table being entered into one linked column in the second base. Now these multiple columns are each a name in a record, “name 1”, “name 2”… etc. Often a record only has a few names (it could have 1 out of 5). My automation succeeds only when 4/5 or 5/5 names are full, when there are only 1, 2 or 3 names in the record it fails. Does anyone know why this is? To me it would make more sense for it to fail 5 out of 5 times but it only fails when there is less than 4 names…
I want to be able to built a utility (that can work on Windows as well as MAC system), that we can use to upload multiple images in a table. The structure of the table is simple: ---------------------------- | Image Name | Thumbnail | -------------|-------------| | Image01 | Image01.jpg | | Image02 | Image02.jpg | | Image03 | Image03.jpg | ---------------------------- The “Image Name” is simple “Single line of text” field and “Thumbnail” is an “Attachment” field. I searched all over the internet, but couldn’t find a way to do that. Services like integromat can be used to insert images from cloud, but I want to be able to upload images kept on local computer. Any help would be appreciated to get me started. I am fairly experienced in VBA automation or Python, but not in using API. So that will be a learning curve, but I am willing to learn.
Hi, I work for a company that specializes in data consulting. I love Airtable and believe it could solve many issues for our business and our clients’, therefore I built a proof of concept to automate dynamic email reminders for my colleagues to showcase the value of the solution. I’m using the temporary Pro plan (trial) on my workspace to set up the related automation. Sadly it seems the email feature is still locked even if I’m using this Pro plan since I got the following message: “Cannot email non-collaborators on the current billing plan.” Could you help me here? I’d really like to show how efficient the platform is but I’m stuck because of this… Best,
I’m trying to create a simple automation where a slack message is sent when updates are made to a specific record and I get the error “Message could not be converted to a string”. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong here but I went over the trigger and the message itself but nothing seems to help my cause. For some added context: There is an automation setup already (which works without any issues) that sends a slack message when the record is no longer empty. I am attempting to set an automation that sends a different message when the same record is updated with new values. These fields are synced from an external table within the same workspace. Not sure if this is too many complications or if there is a way to work around it!
Hi Everyone, I’m currently trying to set up an automation that only triggers during working hours, and ‘banks’ any non-triggered actions until the next working day. I.e. it only trigger between 9am and 5pm, and anything that would normally trigger it at 6pm is held until 9am the next working day. I think I have a working solution, but would be interested to hear if anyone can think of anything better/simpler? The context is a quality assurance process where an assessor completes an Airtable form, and when the form is submitted the assessee automatically receives an email with the results. Currently I have an email automation set up to just trigger when a new record is created (from the form). My idea for how to limit the automation to working hours is: Create a new formula field (called “hour”) that returns HOUR(NOW()) Create a new text field called “results sent?” Create a view called “automation” that is filtered to only include records where the Hour is between 9 and 16, AND record
Hello, I have an automation that uses a date field as the trigger. When I test it, it runs successfully, but the record it finds is incorrect. Today is 10/7. The Trigger is set to “When [Date Field] [is] [yesterday]”, the test runs successfully, but the record it find has a date field dispositioned as 10/5, not 10/6. Is this because of the time of day it is currently for me? Is there a server time that triggers are based on? Can I change my timezone somewhere so this is resolved? Thanks!
I’m an Estate Manager and I have many properties owned by different people. I have them all as separate bases so owners can look and have them all in one workspace. I have todo lists in each one which is great but would like them all to populate in a separate base so I can see and supervise instead of having to go into each base. Ideally to make a shopping list too. Can you help me? Thank you
Hi, I have a motivational quote table with 1000 records (3 columns). I want to create a daily quotes api where it only displays one record daily. Is there a way to achieve this so I can access each record daily? Thanks
Hello All, I am pretty new to Airtable and trying to build a no-code app for my personal use, Its a peer to peer lending app where I give loans to users and I need to be reminded about all upcoming payments with dates on a recurring basis I have 3 tables in my base Contacts Loans Transactions In Loans, I have the data of which contact got how much loan, what’s the interest, borrowed date like below What I want is to create an automation that will generate a new record in the transaction table for all the pending dates Example Name - John Loan Amount - 100,000 Interest - 1.5% Payment type - Monthly Amount - 1500 Borrowed date - 01.01.2021 Loan status - active In transaction table I want the records to be generated as Name Payment date Payment Amount John 01.02.2021 1500 John 01.03.2021 1500 John 01.04.2021 1500 John 01.05.2021 1500 John 01.06.2021 1500 John 01.07.2021 1500
Hi, I have an inventory list of a few items. I have mentioned the total number of units of each item in the Product Inventory table which is my main table to track the remaining inventory (refer to Image 1). Now, sales orders are updated by my warehouse executive, and the inventory gets deducted in the Product Inventory table as all the tables are linked. I want to trigger E-mail automation based on the condition that when the remaining units turn 0, Airtable will send me an e-mail notification that says “Please update the stock”. I’m trying to create automation using these conditions (refer to Image 2) but I’m getting error “Test fail”, “There is no such record”. Can anyone help how to resolve this.
