Hi there, I am struggling with an issue for over a week now and decided to ask for help. In my base, I have a linked field pointing to another table of search keywords, describing the Product on the main table. These keywords are being populated by multiple sources, firstly being Google Vision Block that writes image keywords into a text field from where they are supposed to be added into the Keyword Fields via Automation, secondly users manually entering keywords in the Keywords field itself, and lastly users who enter keywords in a separate field called Bulk Keywords, simply because filling down a separate column by hand is much much easier than adding the same keywords in many fields which already contain information, simply because copy&paste would cause this to overwrite the existing information. So far so good. Up to recently, i had Zapier going merging all of these fields into the main Keyword, which was working fine but was very very slow.

I have an AWS Lambda function written in python that is initiated by a Zapier trigger that I set up. As I pass some input parameters to the function in the Zapier trigger, I can access to the input parameters in my python code by using variables such as event[parameter1] . It perfectly works. I’m trying to access the same Lambda function in Airtable Scripting environment. In order to do it, I set up an API Gateway trigger for the Lambda function, but I can’t figure out how to pass input parameters in the vanilla JS environment. Below is the code that I have, which gives me “Internal Server Error” . Hey everyone! I need some assistance. We have automations linked from an external scheduling website Calendly. When a record is created there it updates on Airtable and assigns a person to interview them. Here is what I need to do: When that record is created it makes a new table for me with all the information and interviewer In that table I need to update or create a new list that links that interviewer ( we have 3 separate ones) to a public name so first and last names are not listed in an email automation I can not for the life of me figure out how to get it to automatically find the interviewers record and create a field with just their first name so I can link THAT in an email. Any help would be awesome. Thank you!

Hi all I have a situation where shopify inventory levels in airtable can be changed manually by a user or automatically by shopify when a product is sold. I have an automation that watches changes to the stock level value and on change, triggers an automation to update shopify via a webhook via integromat. The problem is that when an order is placed in shopify, this automatically changes the stock level in airtable via integromat, but, this also triggers the airtable automation which then updates shopify again. How can I prevent the automation from running if the stock level change was a result of an automatic update from shopify rather than a user created update action to the stock level please? I have tried looking at last modified by but this doesn’t change whether it’s an automation of a webhook that changed the value. Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks Claire

Hello everyone, I am really enjoying Airtable, but I am running into an issue using the send Gmail email action with an image attachment inside an automation. When this email with image attachment is send, the image doesn’t show up as attachment, but a weird file-type does: These images in my base are just simple jpegs from around 350kb. When using the ‘Airtable send email’ action the attachments work fine, but I need to use gmail. Any help is super appreciated!

I ran into a problem using functions like DATEADD({Date 1}, 10, ‘days’). It took forever to find the syntax error AirTable was reporting. It turned out that the ’ coming from some keyboards (mac, ios) was not recognized as the right character. I could fix the formula by copying and pasting the single quote but I could not type it. I was wondering if I was using the wrong key but I could not find another single quote.

New to automations, so excuse this if it’s ignorant, but I am trying to create an automated email when a record is changed in one table. The email needs to be sent to a collaborator that is a lookup from another table. Below is a quick breakdown of our setup: Base has two tables. One table for projects, another table for tasks. The tasks table is linked to a record within the project table, and using lookup pulls necessary data into the task table. Specifically, the project manager is a collaborator within the project table, but is a lookup on the task table. I need to be able to notify the project manager when tasks change automatically. TIA

I have a question :slightly_smiling_face: I have a table in airtable called “invoice” where all of my client invoice informations goes (Name/mail/adress/total paid/…) i use these informations and connect them with zapier to a template, the infos autocomplete this template. I wanted to know if same thing can be done with new automation function directly through airtable. From what i’ve leaned it’s not possible airtable can only transfer data to specific header columns and not to a template. Thanks for reading !

I’m trying to set up an automated email that fills in the contents of a multiple select field. Is there a way to insert the multiple select field in something like a plain english list? For example, I have a multiple select that has [Sam; Suzy; Pete]. I would like to insert the sentence “Sam, Suzy, and Pete” into my email. Thanks!

Hello – I have two tables and have an automation running from conditions met on the first table to create new records on another table. I have several automations running between these tables with no issues for some reason, one of them keeps creating two extra records. I’ve even tried deleting it and recreating it. Any ideas? You can see here that it is only meant to create 5 records but it’s creating 7.

Hey guys, does anyone know why there is +07 at the end of this line? also, for some reason, it’s not picking up the correct rows (i.e this test returns a row that has last modified on the 8th [it is now the 10th]) any ideas on how to be more specific with the date?

Dear community, We help our customers by notifying them when their employees certificates expire and they need to renew certificates. Employees have 10+ different certificates and I would like to automatically update the expiry data for the certificates to “5 years from today” when it expires. But how do I update the specific date field in the record when I have multiple date fields in each record? How does the automation know which date-field to update? Can I refer the to date that just expired, and if so, how do I do that. Hope some of you have a solution. Thanks, Jon

I am trying to create an automation that triggers when a record reaches the last stack in my Kanban view (Placed 1st Order) that the action is updating the record to checked a box in the columed called Customer. I’ve created the trigger, but I’m getting tripped up on the action. What record ID am I suppose to add? And When I choose the Customer field, it doesn’t let me tell it to check the box.

I am trying to create a duplicate table in the same base with few records. I have used trigger actions and trial run was tested successfully. trigger( a new record created in s_table in base_1) to action( create new record in s2_table in base_1) the s2_table has custom modifications so that the records to integrate it to Hubspot via zapier. . The only change in the field type from original to duplicate is primary services ( multiple select ) and primary services ( multi line text in s2 table).>> reason( for Hubspot integration) I will appreciate it if some one help me with the automation issue?

Hello everybody, Quick introduction i’m a beginner in Airtable and Bubble io, i have a bubble io website where clients write down their invoice linked to airtable, my project is that when i click on a button on Bubble io, Bubble Io creates a new line in Airtable in a table called “invoices” with informations the client just typed and previous informations already in Airtable linked to the current mission. So here’s my issue : I use a workflow to create a new record in Airtable, i link the data with an External API (for the data i already have in airtable) but when i link the already existing data composed of formulas 'in airtable (for example : Data 1 & " - " &{Data 2}*) the constraint is red and it doesn’t work. When i initialized the Table in the Airtable plugin i specified that the formulas were a “text” data. Here is my need. I have a table of sessions with three columns: duration (one week, two weeks or more) , dependancy : link to another record in the same table start-date : date of the session. Duration is set manually. Dependancy is set manually or empty if session is the pivot. Start-date could be calculated if session is dependent of precedent session or set manually. What is the elegant way to implement the algorithm? Is it possible to use formula to do that or should I use automation? Thanks a lot for your help.

I have a complex base with about 16 tables. I am trying to figure out the best way to be able to set a reminder for a record in ANY of the tables easily. I want to be able to set the time & day of the reminder in a REMIND ME field in any record of any table and get notified by email when it is due. I was thinking I could create a REMINDER Table and link it to the other tables and then set a view in for Remind me is before (NOW) and then set an automation to send me an email whenever a record enters the view. What I am having a hard time with is how to link the tables properly. If someone can explain in detail how to do this with just 3 tables EVENTS, TASKS, & the REMINDER table, I can extrapolate the rest. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I am working on setting up an automation with Microsoft Teams where a post is made in a channel when a record status changes. I’d like to be able to tag the person who submitted the record (they enter their email address into a column) so they can be notified when the status changes through teams. Is it possible? The email address entered into Airtable will match the account holder in Teams as they will all be company addresses.

I know they are not currently supported and it says “We do plan to support the lookup field in the near future.” and I know about the formula workaround. But I don’t want to add a bunch of extra field just to copy data. Dose anyone know when the support is scheduled to be implemented? I need this to plan my actions. I love the added automation ability and look forward to this helping making this tool even more useful. Thanks in advance.

I am currently writing an airtable automation for my organization that is trying to run a script on records that are a certain age (currently thinking week old records). In order to do so, I was thinking of using the “When a record matches condition” trigger, and using the When field on the Created date for the record, and checking if it is before one week ago. The main point I want to check on is if this is one week from the time when the automation runs, or if this is one week from the time the automation was made. Likewise, how often will this automation run?

I have a base where I track real estate leads as a realtor and potential investments. I have one table with the property specific information (SF, Unit count, # of bedrooms, baths, rent, etc) and a table that shows the contact information with a relationship between the two tables. It’s pretty time consuming to flip between the data source like Redfin to manually enter in the property information. Is there a way I can have a field where I can insert the link, and then the other columns automatically fill in the data based on info from websites like redfin/zillow?

Hey guys, I’ve just subscribed to Airtable Pro and i’m trying to set automations with “Run Script”. I’ve tried my first automations with a simple scripts as console.log(“test”) and let table = base.getTable(“Titular”); let query = await table.selectRecordsAsync(); console.log(query.records); But when a test it, it keeps getting “Test Failed”. My table has a column with a single image which I need to process via remove.bg (to remove background). I want the processed image to be loaded to a new column NEXT to the column with the original image. And I have many records in the table so I need the process to be automatic. AirTable automation doesn’t seem to offer way to deal with REMOVE.BG so I am trying to setup Zapier (haven’t tried Integromat yet, but that’s another option). Zapier flow works but the issue is, the flow doesn’t allow me to add the processed image in a new column next to the original image. I created an automation that triggers when any record is added to table A it automatically creates the same record in table B (within the same base). I’d like it to copy all the records already in that table so that the number of records in table A is always equal to the number of records in table B. It only copies NEW records though. Is that possible?
