I've created an automation where when a checkbox is checked on a record in one table ("Assets") it creates a story/issue in JiraI have a second table ("Jira Sync") that is the real time sync to all the jira issues/stories.My desire is to automate the Link/lookup of the jira record id (Key) to be assigned back to the Assets table but this is the part i cannot untangle. I know there's a way to automate a vlookup between two tables so i could match on the "Summary" field which should be an exact match between the two tables but I'm not sure how to execute that - would the trigger be when a new record is created on the Jira Sync table?Further more, once the Jira Key is mapped back to the Assets table, can i create an automation where if i update any of those fields on the Assets table (trigger= when a record is updated) it will update the issue in jira. thereby creating a two way sync?thank you! 

Currently I have one apartment per row and the tenants #1 name, tenant #2 name, tenant #1 email, tenant #2 email as column name with the tenants info on the row. This hard to export the data this way or to sync to a crm with zapier. what is the best way to organize the contacts/ tenants in general so that easier to export or sync via zapier to a third party crm like cloze.   

Hi!I have an automation that runs through a few steps when a new record enters a form submission view (pictured below). I use the 'Find records' function to search a distinct set of contacts against email address -- if successful, the records are updated with new values. If unsuccessful, a new contact record is created. A few supplemental records are created as well.  The Find Records function is specifically looking for the Record ID to move into the update functions. In tests -- including test runs of the live automation -- everything works fine. It locates the Record ID, updates it in the next step, and everything is great. However, when I activate the automation and it runs live, it fails at the Record Create (or update) stage every time. And the error message is identical every time: It tell me is cannot locate a field with the name or ID fldcy0mx2HXa5Taae. It does not have this problem in testing (and will run completely through all of the steps

TIA for any assistance.I have table1 (vuln) and table2 (archive).  I have an automation that when the record is created a UUID is created in the vuln table.  Then, when the status field of a record in vuln is changed form "new" to "closed" it creates a copy of that record in the archive table. What I need is another script that does the opposite.  When the status field of a record in vuln is changed from "closed" to anything else (basically re-opened) it needs to find the record in archive based on the UUID field and delete the copy of that record from the archive table.  I have the trigger setup, but I can't get the script to return the record. It returns the query, but the filter does not seem to work.  This would be easy if I could just do a view, but I can't.  I need to do a weekly purge of the data in the vuln table, but leave the data in the archive data. Hi,We're working on moving automation mail (Gmail) content from the automations themselves to a separate table, where other than admins can maintain text.In the mail content there may be markdown URLs with clickable "friendly names", e.g. [Book here](https://www.calendly.com). I copied the whole text from the automation to "Long text" fields with rich formatting enabled. This approach doesn't however produce markdown URLs, instead they print out the raw markdown syntax ('[Book here](https://www.calendly.com)').Remembering that using CONCATENATE formulas for URLs works in achieving the "friendly names" I tried chopping up the mail content, and using a summarising CONCATENATE field as input for the automation instead of a Long text field. This works, producing "friendly name" clickable URLs.However, we have URLs in various places in the content, so chopping these up becomes really tedious, if not impossible. Hi,In our CRM we have several different situations, where reminder mails should start going out to contacts. Many of these are chained so that if the contact doesn't respond (e.g. sign up again after an event they cancelled), there will be reminders 1, 2 and 3 with some days time in between.Originally I created these as separate automations, it was simple and easy to overview. For that I am trying to make a script that has an input field like Slack action where you can connect your account, select workspace and send the invitation. Hi everyone! I have a follow up survey that we send to customers via Airtable form. No prefilled info, pretty simple rating, feedback, and customer email to be filled out. Here's the kicker - we got a response back, and the customer entered @gmail.con instead of @gmail.com. The problem is, I have several follow on automations that are dependent on that email field to match it to the original survey request and then update both records accordingly, notify the user, etc. I already have modifiers on my other automations that corrects any caps to all lowercase, trim, etc to ensure the data is clean and matches. I considered using the "length" modifier, but considering I have no way of knowing how long any given customer's email address will be, that's not really an option. Now, I know I COULD just manually correct the email address, but I don't want to do that every time, and that also effectively avoids the trigger for one of my automations, "when form is received" do

So I currently have an automation set to when it hits 6:00 AM everyday, a record will be created and it will tag the record as backlog (in the status field) and will copy the created field's date and update the name of that same record. However it is always one day delayed. I do not know why this is happening. Here are SS of it happening. Would need all the help I can get. Thanks!       

Good afternoon, I’ve got a handful of automations that are triggered by updates to specific fields in a table, and when the criteria match a record gets flagged. I’m seeking a solution for how to get a new automation to run where the trigger criteria are met by existing records when I flip it on. Currently, when I set the automation to run, the existing matching records don’t execute without manually updating them. There are tens of thousands of records in play, I know I could manually trigger it via a checkbox or some other square peg, but the maintenance of it all is becoming a part time job on its own. Is there a mechanism that yall have found which lets this flow more like opening a spigot and less like doing it twice because some records already match the trigger? Would appreciate any insights. We use a form with our database so that students can post pictures of homework. When completing the form, each student inputs her student ID to create a new record, and attaches pictures of homework. The homework is associated with a specific session. The master table of students and sessions includes a unique “student session id”, but students don’t know it (ie can’t input it into the record). I would like to create an automation that is triggered when a student submits a record to the homework table. The automation would look for all of the “student session IDs” associated with that student ID, find the largest “student session ID” for that student (more recent = highest number), and input it into a field in the record. Can anyone point me to a script that would do something like this? Thanks!

I am working on in a table whose purpose is to have all aircraft on market & recently sold as a mechanism to build an MLS type system. I am trying to create an automation to delete a record IF a record that is being imported/create whose MSN matches and the Sold Price was filed where as before it might have been blank (signifying the aircraft was available). Hi, I'm using automations as a workaround to add more options to a dropdown menu, per Airtable Support's instructions, but it's not working correctly. Currently, a user can select "Other" from a single select and enter the "Other" option in a separate text field. The automation is supposed to pull that text back into the original single select field as a new option in the dropdown menu. Right now it is only pulling the starting character, rather than the whole string of text. I've tried deleting and reconfiguring several times, but it still is not working. I've attached some screenshots for clarity.  Thanks for your help!K

Hello!I'm looking to have a daily email automation run with a list of Found Records. I'd like the subject line of the email to have the current date. I see that I can add in a List of the Dates for the Found Records, but...it will show the date for EVERY record, rather than just one instance. Is there a way to suppress that to only the first instance of the date so that my subject line doesn't read "Daily Attendance Log DATE DATE DATE"?Thanks in advance for any help! 

Hello Airtable Support, I’d like to know if the following HR automation is possible: Our goal is to streamline our interview scheduling workflow. Once we decide to interview a particular applicant, we’d like to send them an Airtable link. On that form, they should be able to: Book an available interview slot. Upload their resume. On our end, we have several roles, each with designated interviewers. The idea is that when an applicant selects a role from a dropdown menu, a calendar appears showing the available interview slots specifically for the chosen role. This calendar would need to sync with each interviewer’s availability. Is this feasible in Airtable? Thank you!

Here is the situation and thanks for all help in advance.I have a grid view where the primary filter is to only show records where a date field is empty.  This could be as many as 50 records at any one time.I'd like to add today's date to all records in the found set (empty dates) in fell swoop.  Of course, if I add the date to the field, it drops off the found set. This means I have to select todays date in 50 records with the awkward disappearing record.So an automation that will update the date field in all records in the found set might work.  I played around with an automation to do this, but couldn't figure out how to do it.I am open to alternative ideas.  Essentially, I have a set of 50 records that have an empty date and I want them to disappear from the list when a date is put in the empty date field.  But I'd like to automate it somehow.Hope that makes sense.  I have two attachments. How do i create a field or metric that shows the time it took to complete a project. for example, tracking the difference from the start date to the date when the project was marked as complete or from in progress to complete. I want to ignore all the other statuses e.g. not started, blocked etc.Is this possible? Reason i ask is to track this in a dashboard for average project completion time.

I am building for the following scenario and need help to understand a few things1. I have a master table that has the main data (Name, Email id, etc) 2. There is another table with a field (Name) that is linked to the name field in the master table.3. I designed an interface to delete a record from the master table. 4. Now when I see the linked field in the second table, it has disappeared as it should be. However, the entire record does not get deleted. 5. So currently I have added a check column in the second table to check if the Name field is present or missing and am running an automation through Make to delete the entire record for the second table.I wanted to know if this is possible through airtable automation itself instead of creating an automation through another tool. Also if this is possible to run the automation through an interface. Thanks
