I'm having trouble getting past the Update record in an automation:I was able to:- get the trigger to catch a new email in a table (pic #1)- filter out the matching email and corresponding row (pic #2)In the Update action, I used the Airtable record ID from the first step (pic #3). The field of interest I want to import from the donor table, for example, is What year and school did you graduate from (pic #4) but it doesn't work (pic #5) and I also dont see where in the receiving table I can choose where the donor information I want to collect to insert. Thanks so much!

I'm trying to set up an Airtable automation that's not working as expected.Here are the details:Current Setup1. Trigger: When a record matches conditions- Quote_Date_String is not empty- Axonaut_Status is "accepted"2. Action: Find records- Where Quote_ID matches Quote_ID from trigger3. Action: Update record (in a "Repeat for each" loop)- Table: Landing_Table- Update Quote_Date_String fieldError:Getting "Received invalid inputs" when testing the automation, even though the test step shows valid data in the trigger record.Screenshots of the automation and test results are attached.Any help identifying why the update action is failing would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Hugo

I have an automation that is set to run when a record is updated. The problem is that as the user types in one of the fields being monitored, the automation is called with every character entered or deleted. I want it to run when the user is finished editing - maybe when they hit "Enter" or when they click off the field for the record in question. Is there any way to do this? Seems unusable as is?

Hopefully this is an easy ask, but I just can't figure it out.I have my interface as public, showing records in a gallery view. I have automation which emails the user to tell them that their request is live on the dashboard and to provide them a link to it. If I use "Page Record Url" in the email automation, it does create a link, but only for me, ie only logged in people. The only way I can get a public link to that record, is view the record in the interface, open it up, click the chain link to copy the url and use that. That URL is much longer than the other ones and I have no idea how I can pull in that URL in the email automation to give the customer.Here are the links, I've modified them for privacy, but its just to give you a flavour of the difference. Hi all,I have an automations question that I hope someone can help me with.My company provides a programming service for clients. As we process the information received, Airtable sends an automatic email to the client letting them know what information we have and what we still need.When record is updated, send email to client.This is fairly simple and works well, however, we have employees who work at night or over weekends and do not  want emails going out to clients at funny times. Setting up the automation to trigger at a schedule time does not work because then I do not have the option of formatting the email based on specific record conditions. I would love to be able to have something check if it's during regular work hours, if so send the email, and if not, wait until the next regular business day and then send the email.Any advice on how to implement this?

I would like to update a date field in a record, with the last time the automation executed. Is this possible in an automation, in the Update Record Action?If you choose static, you have to enter the field manually. If you choose a dynamic value, you are only allowed to choose from an existing field or data.

I've read multiple forum posts and watched videos, but something is still not working ... so I've come here to ask for any insights. My understanding is that  I need to put all records from Table A into a single linked field in Table B, and then use a Count field to count them.  So I set this up, like in the imageThen, I went to Automations and set up two steps: Step one: look for any records and table that are not empty. I have an Hours table that records for each member (identified by email address) the number of hours they participate in an organization event.  The table consists of email address, event category, #hours, date, and two optional fields, event name and event id.  When members go to input their hours, they typically have more than one activity to report.  I want to create a form such that the member inputs their email address only once and then can input multiple instances of {event category, hours, date}.   I saw one possible solution that added another table linked to the hours table and allowing multiple records, but I'd prefer to not have to create another table for just this purpose.  Any help, guidance, direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Airtable Community....I'm new to Airtable so please bare with me.I have a Softr application, in demo state - Where a user (logging in on their backend portal) can log in and upload some content...I also have a form that is public facing for clients to fill out...I am okay with the user table capturing the user's: name, password, email, magiclink, attachments.I also okay with the client table capturing the client's: first name, last name, phone, email, organization.I want to preface - that I want to use these two tables for multiple users who will have their own custom built application as well as anyone who fills out the form specific on the user's application...Here is the issue/problem:1. Hi Airtable Community...I have a table called 'Request-Table that is linked to a user table called 'User-Table'...In Request-Table, when a new entry is added (i.e Requestor-Name, Requestor-EmaiI) it pulls specific User information (fields) for that User from the User-Table (e.g. Name, E-mail, and Attachment fields)I want to send the attachment the Request-Table pulls in from User-Table TO the Requestor-Email...My question is - How do I add the attachment or attachments the automated email? So close to getting the whole base working the way I want I can see the light at the end. Hi all, I have set up an auxiliary table that has values in columns based on condition (the column name). I have a main table in which I am trying to pull data for items based on the condition of that item. So, I am trying to get Airtable to go to the auxiliary table, look up the requisite item from the main table, and find the value based on the condition that is noted in a field in the main table (please see screenshot attached). There is a field on the Inventory tab that notates the condition and a bunch of columns on the DB tab that have values for each condition. I need to write an automation or formula that tells Airtable to look up the condition of the item on the Inventory table, go to the DB table find the appropriate item, and look up the value based on the condition in the Inventory table.  Thanks for any assistance you can give me.

I want to create rent payment schedule to send to someone after they sign leases for an apartment using the data that I have in airtable. The rent payable is typically the same price every month but sometime if they start not on the 1st of the month the 2nd month is pro-rated. Also a few times are free month rent is given so that month no rent is due. Always paid at lease signing is 1st month rent and one month security deposit. The 1st Month they will always pay the entire amount even if the lease doesn't start on the 1st. The 2nd month is always pro-rated if there is pro-rated rent. I was things about having each month as a column (Sept 2024, Oct 2024, nov 2024 etc) then we can use ai and formula to look up the start date, end date, rent amount to put the data below in a table to send out in an email in automation or I can set up via Zapier. In Zapier I can probably also set up this type of automation but

Oh, this one has me stuck!I have a table of 'Individuals' with an email address and a unique ID on one table, and on another 'Audit' table, I have audit line items with the linked ID. I would like to use a checkbox of 'publish' in the Individual tab to trigger an email that sends a table of relevant data to the right individual. Right now, I have a trigger or 'when records match' showing a few conditions including publish. then Find Records, then Repeat for each List of records, with a send email and appropriate grid in the email. Problem is, I can't convince the automation to sort these, so person A only get their results ,and Person B get theirs. It's a mash of results, not getting split per individual. Because the list of individuals will continue to grow, I can't create a view per individual.Can anyone see what I am missing here?

Hi! I'm trying to set up a conditional automation and the "Otherwise" condition is giving me an error.Trigger: A record enters a view. The view relies on the field {1 week} not being empty. The two possible values are "1 week late" and "2 weeks late" First condition:If {1 week} contains 1Condition 2 should be either:Otherwise, or1 week contains 2 (or equals "2 weeks late")I get success after the first condition but the second condition failsIt feels like i'm missing something obvious! Are the record's previous values available in the "when record is updated" trigger?  I'd like to be able to compare the previous values with the current values and act accordingly.  Does this require a code step instead?

I have a database with ages, I have grouped the ages into views and I want to shuffle each members a particular age into a group of five. For example: Ages 18-24, I want the members to be grouped by five members each and at the end of each month, the automation shuffle the members so the members are different for each month.

Hi,I am working with a list of contacts in my main spreadsheet. I am trying to update a specific information of many contacts simoutaneously. So I created a second table, where I want to input the name of the person, and this information (books received). I want to be able to add a list of people and books on this second table and add these books to the already received books on the main table.I was able to do part of the way, but I am having a problem with the Record ID after the Find record step. For some reason I only see the option of 'List of Airtable Record ID', which I think is why it is not working. It seems like a simple automation, but I can't go around it. Any suggestions?Thank you!

I'm trying to set up a paypal scenario in Make.com that adds new paypal transactions into my airtable table. When I try to set up the airtable connection, I use OAUTH type, and it asks for a a URI Redirect URL. I don't have a clue what to use here. When I google, it asks what site I want people to redirect to, but that doesn't help me much.Anyone able to advise?Thanks. 

I'm trying to use an automation in a base, but there's something wrong with my flow. And it may be that what I'd ultimately like to accomplish isn't possible. In Base 1, I have a single-select field named "Status" with various color-coded options as variables to select from. In Base 2, I have a duplicate of the fields in Base 1, but none of the data. My goal: When the single-select field Status is changed to a particular option (in this case, "Delivered"), the record is copied from Base 1 (Active) and duplicated in Base 2 (Archive). But the flow I have is definitely not correct. So, one, is this possible? And, two, does anyone know what I need to adjust in the automation flow? Thanks so much for your time!

My company exports a .csv file every week containing the current inventory of the same objects.  Each object has a count that may change week over week.  We copy this .csv into an airtable weekly.  I would like to capture the old counts from the prior week so that I can track the differences week over week.  How can I set up a scheduler to move the values from the "This Week's Apples" field to "Last Week's Apples" field automatically?

I'm based in the UK and we've had an integration working on a booking database for over a year which automates the creation of an Outlook event when a booking is made. No changes have been made to this automation but today the events which are in Airtable as dd/mm have started coming through as mm/dd. I'm really at a loss with this and what I need to be looking into.
